"A co-worker recommended this place after I said I liked Trader's Joe falafels. I have been back for lunch 3 times. The falafel platter and falafel pita sandwiches are delicious. The humus and tahini sauce full of flavor. I would give a 5 rating if I ever had the opportunity to sit down and dine. There's always a line down the block. Very popular place. The staff is friendly and polite. The prices are reasonable for midtown. Great place!"
"Great restaurant! We had the spicy feta and taboon bread, burrata, cabbage, and the chicken. The spicy feta dip was delicious and not too spicy. The taboon bread was fluffy and delicious. The burrata with the beets was great and I loved the artichoke chips. The cabbage was charred and soft. Loved the combination of all the ingredients. The chicken was delicious and had a nice spice flavor. The Cabernet was a nice wine. Also enjoyed the Syrah as well. Our server Lewis was very knowledgeable and was very nice. Would definitely go back for the food, great service and cool ambiance."

"Honest review (04/11/23)**$25 lunch combo of an appetizer + entree w/choice of riceIf you would like a quiet and dark atmosphere then I would recommend inside. But I liked watching people and cars while sitting in the patio section.I got the Hummus (appetizer) and basa fish in lemon sauce (entree) with polo baghali. The HUMMUS tasted fresh with the perfect mixture of chickpeas, tahini, olive oil and garlic. The BASA FISH was good, but way to buttery for my tastebuds, but with the rice it captured the buttery-ness. First time trying YOGURT & CUCUMBER which was nice and refreshing with the bread, but I would prefer hummus more than the yogurt & cucumber tho. My personal preference. The restaurant was not busy when we walked in and the server gave us enough time to look through the menu and have us order. There is only street parking which is hard to find, but an option is to take the train and walk :) There is restrooms inside too.Taste 9/10Texture 9/10Visual 10/10Service 9/10Definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you are in the area."
"I came back to Laser Wolf for my second visit, this time for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. The Salatim selection was smaller compared to dinner, but there was still a great variety, and everything was fresh and flavorful. I also added dessert this time, and it was so good -- definitely a sweet way to end the meal. The view of Manhattan from the enclosed rooftop is stunning, and despite being outside, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and warm it was. Perfect spot to enjoy your meal without freezing!Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food with an unbeatable view. Can't wait for my next visit!"
"Had a great dinner at Kubeh last night with some friends! I've walked past this place a million times and always thought it was a fast casual place based on how the outside entrance looks, but was surprised to find how deep the restaurant is and how upscale the food is. We were seated immediately for our reservation and our server was very attentive. We got all three dips to share, and numerous mezze and small plates and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. I particularly loved the Fattoush salad and the Mediterranean shrimp. All the ingredients of everything tasted fresh and homemade. Only slight issue was how loud the restaurant is. I think the high ceilings make for challenging acoustics. Highly recommend!"
"Amazing drinks, homemade hummus, and lamb cooked to perfection- some of my favorite reasons to visit Little Rascal. I have visited with family, coworkers, and friends and it passes the test across the board- there's something for everyone on their menu and the ambiance is so warm and inviting, we're always impressed. From the octopus to the branzino to the lamb to the meatballs, the meal is delicious. My recco: take a few people and order as much as possible so you can taste everything! Oh- and (as long as there's no nut allergy) don't skimp on the baklava."
"Outstanding Greek spot in Brooklyn! I ordered the special which consisted of tender lamb with okra, rice and pita bread. The sauce was very flavorful! Everything was delicious. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere was great. They kept the windows and doors open so there was a cool breeze coming in. Great first meal during my NY trip! I read many reviews on other middle eastern/ Greek places nearby and this is definitely the spot to go!"
"I wouldn't return. The food was mostly below average and the service was a 6 out of 10.The hummus was good. The lamb was very dry. The chicken was bland."
"More of a 3.5, the food doesn't blow you away but it's solid and the prices are pretty decent. The thing that makes this place a 4 is how much of a neighborhood place this feels like, nice guys behind the counter. You're not really going to go wrong."

Amazing food! Ordered the chicken Adana on pita with extra garlic sauce. Their garlic sauce is unreal. Definitely a place that I'm going to frequently visit. Really tasty flavored food not super oily and don't feel food guilt after eating it all, unlike a lot of the other places I love.

I was here in early November with a friend. We had been out for drinks at another place and then decided to find a place for dinner. It worked out as Bustan was able to seat us pretty easily at that particular time. It was my first time there (not my friend's first time) and I enjoyed everything. I had the Little Gem salad (very good) and my friend & I shared some of the Taboon bread with hummus. We later had coffee and shared a slice of chocolate flourless cake. All in all it was a very nice time and I remember the service being good and very attentive (maybe even a little too attentive at times, but I think that's better than not being able to get anyone's attention when you need it). Our table was comfortable. I had a good time and I know I need to come back and try more of their dishes! I

Disappointed. This restaurant was recommended by a friend so our expectations were high but it did not even meet our substandard demands. The decor and roominess of the restaurant are quite nice upon entry. However service was slow and not welcoming or warm. The food was bland and lackluster all around. The gormeh sabzi had no dried limes and lacked tartness and it was watered down. The lentil soup was quite good but cold. The koobideh was very processed in appearance and taste. It was almost like a mashup - more like meatloaf in texture. The rice was saturated with fat - not sure if it was butter, margarine (which would be a nightmare) or a vegetable oil. The geimeh/vegetarian stew was bland as well and lacked any flavor. The Shirazi salad had no onions! Dishes came out very late. The orders were placed at the same time but one person would receive their stew while another person ordering that same stew would receive theirs 30 min later all while sitting awkwardly while others were all served. The saffron rice pudding didn't impress any of us, including the kids which was a big shock. Not sure if the owner's physical absence fueled this mediocrity. Perhaps things were much better in the past? Unfortunately, this was our first and will be our last time dining at Persepolis.

Israeli food elevated to new heights. The top of the Hoxton with its stellar Manhattan views. We went for a birthday brunch & my reservation didn't go through but waitlist did. It's thankfully lunch prix fixe.$39/ eachAte and drank:Pino noir GermanFatoosh saladSteak shishlik Salmon shislik The salamatimsBrown butter soft serveThe service was a bit odd, but food delivered & how. Herby hummus, hot pita and some of the best salmon & crispiest skin ever & I'm mostly pescatarian. I wasn't bowled over by the wine or soft serve but the food & views are fire!

Really great food here. I came with a large group for brunch. For appetizers, my group split the fried halloumi, hummus, muhammara, and watermelon & whipped feta. The watermelon dish was light and summery, with nice herb flavor. The halloumi had a nice texture and came in a very flavorful oil. The two dips were also very nice - the muhammara was nutty and bright, and the hummus was rich. For my entree, I had the Iraqi vegetable kubeh in hamusta broth. The kubeh were soft dumplings filled with mushrooms, and the broth was a clear one with strong flavor from lemon and chard. It made for a warm and hearty meal.

Nice little spot with great drinks. We had a small department event here (venue buyout), which was nice and intimate, great for mingling and conversation. Not much decor though and pretty simple, but food was good especially the baba ganoush and shrimp. Overall decent option for a team gathering!

My friend and I came in for lunch on Friday. It was 1pm ish and we were the only ones there. Restaurant is clean, tables look nice and our waiter was a very nice man. We ordered from the lunch menu. My friend ordered the spinach pie special that came with salad, baba ganoush, falafel and hummus. She loved it! She even loved the baba g which she doesn't usually eat. I got the chicken shawarma platter. That came with rice, salad which was very fresh, and hummus, which I don't like but I ate this with the pita! Delish! The chicken was very tender and juicy, the rice was spiced just right. Not salty at all. I had enough to take home for another day. I'd love to get back there for dinner. I believe the dinner menu starts after 2pm, at least that's what was in front when we left. Very good food, can't go wrong here. We loved it and wil go back.

"Qanoon" in Arabic actually means law, whereas "kanoon" refers to a barbecue grill, but I suppose Q is a sexier letter, hence the owners' choice here at this Palestinian restaurant in Chelsea. It is a good 3.5 star (rounded up) neighborhood option if you're in the area, but probably not a destination. For a light dinner, we shared the mujaddara fritters and the muhammara, and I also ordered a lentil soup. The muhammara was excellent, but the portion was tiny. The mujaddara fritters were beautifully presented, although I wouldn't have necessarily known from the flavor that they were related to one of my favorite rice dishes.

"A young man named Yadin is presently the manager of Kulushkat restaurant. He's super cool and he runs a vibey little eatery. I purchased my second falafel sandwich from this place, this past weekend. Fresh hummus, crispy red cabbage, yummy tahini sauce and added pickles are what my sandwich was made of. I chose whole wheat pita bread for the first time ever and it was really good. I sat inside waiting for my order while rocking to smooth reggae music. Yadin is a manager who doesn't mind bussing tables and making sure that customer's needs are met, if the servers are busy zipping around. The falafel sandwiches are substantial in portion. I was able to eat it in halves, saving a half for later. The prices are very reasonable. I won't be staying away from Kulushkat for too long. Wonderful work day treat."
"I love this cart, falafel is awesome. Falafel sandwich or add a few pieces falafel on top of a rice/meat dish."
"There are mostly tables of 2 or 4 here which makes this place a great spot for groups of 2 or 4. The ambiance here is great for dates or a nice dinner out with friends. The food here is full of herbs given that it is an Israeli restaurant. The service here is attentive and friendly. We came at 6:30 without a reservation and was given a table (we just had to leave by 8pm)."
"I came yesterday for dinner with 4 friends. We ordered 5 dishes to share. I really liked the babaganoush and another dish that had curry. The rest were average. There was a dish that had grilled shrimps that tasted amazing but the lamb sausage was was too strong for me. The service was slow but really friendly and patient which is great for covid times. We had a couple of beautiful Moroccan tables on the side walk. The street has a lot of cars and ambulances passing by but not a lot of people walking so that's good. In terms of drinks, we all agreed that none of the alcoholic drinks that had mint really tasted minty. My mango mojito didn't taste like a mojito at all. It was like mango juice with rum and a few mint leaves. So I would improve the drinks. We shared baklava for dessert which was delicious but a bit oily. We ended up spending around $30 per person which I think is pretty good for NYC. It was a nice experience."
"Visited Mesiba as it is connected to the Moxy Williamsburg for a late snack and drink. I didn't make reservations and luckily, my friend and I were able to snag two seats at the bar. Inside it is beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing. The bartenders were kind and provided some insight to the menu.We ordered the frena bread, cucumber salad and dumplings (that weren't on the menu but saw it in a Yelp review). I had two glasses of the PÉT' NAT. Everything was delicious but the standout was the off menu dumplings!I'd like to return to try Chef Eli's Msabbah Cart!"
"The interior and the decor is so beautiful and inviting! We came for an early lunch and the food and service were fantastic. I got the mix shawarma platter and it was a very generous portion and had plenty for leftover. Highly recommend a visit!"
"My group of 6 came here after walking around the Christmas house decorations in Dyker Heights and the name of this place was no lie. This place was fire. Service was incredible and the food was better. We ordered a large plate of 1/2 Lamb and 1/2 chicken as our entree, an order of the meat sambusa, and an order of fries. The sambusa and fries came first which we ate with the 3 incredible house made sauces. The sambusa was crunchy on the outside and filled with a delicious well seasoned meat on the inside. That paired with the green sauce was delicious. The fries were also great although in the future I'll try either the lentil soup or the Kurma.Lastly the plate, again, was fire. The chicken and lamb were very flavorful and tender, which was a joy to eat. Served on a bed of rice and a salad, it all paired so well together with the juiciness of the meat, the crunch of the salad, and the rice. It all came together for an incredible flavor mixture which was even further expanded upon with the sauces available. Each adding a novel and delicious combination.I'll be back!"
"So, we were there for a date, it was a packed house which wasn't so bad because the place still had a great energy with an othenthic feeling. But, even tho the eviroment was nice there were some issues Food menue was a bit pricey, we ended up paying close to $100 dollar and we didn't order the most expansive items on the manue or any alcohol. After seeing the price we were expecting for a really great food & service but the waitresses were busy and confused, we had to remind them a few times what we ordered. After 40 min + reminder we got our food wich was a little bit dry, and not worth the price that we paid.I guess we will try again because there is not that many othentic israeli steackhouses in the area. Hopfully having a better experience next time...."
"My crew has been ordering sandwiches from here for the last few days, they've been great. Today, on a whim, I tried the chicken noodle soup. I don't have enough curse words to explain how good this soup is. It has clearly been slow cooking since the beginning of time, the spices are fresh and strong, and for extra IDGAF energy, the pasta is unmistakably sourced from a school cafeteria. It is really important that you eat this soup, so that they don't stop making it."
"My goodness! I just enjoyed the most delicious Middle Eastern breakfast here... possibly the best shakshouka and fuul and pita I've ever had. And the smiles and friendly greeting from the proprietors made my meal even tastier. On a quiet street just off Union in Brooklyn, it's worth making a trip to eat in or order for home. Yum!"
"My friend wanted hummus and falafel to go so I decided to try this place since it was nearby. Overall, food was OK. My friend wasn't too crazy about the hummus. She said it was a bit too oily and runny. The falafels were accetable though. Place was pretty big for a takeout place with a decent amount of seating."
"Wonderful food and service . Had Yemenite soup (glorious) and schnitzel sandwich accompanied by salad. She had tuna pita w salad. Others sitting next to us had pancakes and borscht which looked incredible. Def recommend."
"Great little spot for Mediterranean food served "fast food style" for both take out and limited seating. Place was consistently busy with both. Really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel pan (which is a metallic pan) with a decent portion of rice and Israeli salad and a fairly good size of chicken. All was delicious. Friend had the schwarma pan which didn't seem to offer as much meat but still enjoyed it. We sat at a small counter that sat 4 people. There are I think two or 3 community tables that could maybe sit 6 each tops."
"Overall this restaurant is quite pricey for what it is - I think you're largely paying for the size of the restaurant and the ambiance rather than the food itself. They provide a sampler of 'dips' called the 'selection of five' for 38, which includes a small portion of each option as well as a flatbread - there are maybe 5-6 pieces of bread total. Any additional bread is $5, and you will need additional bread unless you're putting an entire 'bowl' of dip onto each piece of bread. Additionally, there wasn't really any of these dips which were all that flavorful or amazing in any way (presumably this dip platter is the star of this restaurant). You can find a much better baba ghanoush at Akdeniz. For the main I had a dish with cubed steak, pearl onions, potatoes and blistered shishito peppers. The flavor of the shishitos barely came through and the steak was tough and chewy. All for around $45 I believe, the menu has since changed I think. They do offer a more affordable but likely equal quality happy hour menu from 5-7 but you'll have to sit exclusively at the bar to take advantage."
