"We contacted Frank about a private birthday party. He was so friendly and accommodating. He gave us the second floor bar which was perfect for our gathering. Warm and intimate without being too small. And there were tables available in case anyone wanted to eat there. Our bartender, Keira, was friendly, fun and efficient. The food was great, came quickly and tasted delicious. I am so happy to have found McGee's and look forward to the next time we're there. The bar was perfect. Thank you all!"

"I cannot comment on the drinks. I cannot really comment on the ambiance. What I can comment on is the service and our meal that afternoon and the service. Their chili stuffed potato skin was filling, comforting, and so good! It's a meal in itself, but it served as our appetizer. I don't see it on the menu anymore. I ordered their Harp Beer Battered Fish and Chips while he ordered the Guiness Grilled Rib Steak. Their fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The fish wasn't greasy. They were huge pieces of fish fried perfectly. It paired so well w/ the coleslaw and the tanginess from the tartar sauce. The leftovers did create a bit of grease, but it was to be expected. I still enjoyed it that night! I was thirsty and must have had 4 Diet Coke refills. Our server was quick and checked on us a few times. I really appreciate the fact that I did not have to ask for a refill of my soda. I wasn't so sure about the steak, but he finished it and said it was good. Mmmm, I'm thinking about the fish and chips and potato skins right now!"

"After wandering around the different markets, this was a cool place to sneak into where we were able to get fast service and great food. As tourist who have been taking pictures all day, iPhone batteries were quickly dwindling, and the staff was able to take them in charge for us which I thought was amazing. We got the spinach and artichoke dip, pizzas holiday cocktails, and some fries. This was our first time here at this restaurant the waiter definitely gave us great suggestions on drinks to get which was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the city and wants good food that is decently priced also being in the midst of all the action probably one of the best meals I had here."

"Drinks were immediate, food was immediate, it was all delicious. I am so happy to have found this place. It is the Christmas season so I expected delays and long waits, but this was outstanding. The mini crab cakes were terrific and soft, full of flavor. The onion soup was top notch.Servers were great. I loved the music. Bathrooms were 3 single stalled rooms, and clean. Love this place."

"This is my spot! When you're in the mood for a Irish pub close to Penn Station and Port Authority, this is your place! We went on a Friday night when they have live music. We had a few snacks as well (mozzarella sticks and fries) which hit the spot late night.It's a classic Irish pub with Guinness and Jameson of course! Staff are friendly and even gave us a free shot! Def recommend checking out this spot especially on a Friday night!"

"This is an old standby for a pre theater meal with traditional Irish fare and a small menu to meet most tastes. My highlight was the Mac and cheese, which is creamy and cheesy. I also got the truffle parm fries, which had a perfect truffle and cheesy flavor but they were pretty limp and crispy. Service was fine but not anything super special. However, if you are looking for a spot that is quieter, the top floor is a great place to grab a quicker bite."

"Great Irish pub option in Midtown. I'm not currently drinking but my gingerales were very reasonably priced lol. Truffle fries were excellent, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, hard to pull off! And the truffle taste wasn't overpowering. At $12 they're steep, but it's Midtown post COVID and everyone is stretched right now, I understand. I think my friends Blue Moon was $8. Service at the bar was friendly and fast. After work crowd on a Wednesday seemed mainly men in their 30s/40's and some women in the same age range. I even saw some kids head towards the back with their parents for dinner, common in Irish pubs. Music was classic/hard rock pre-90's which I loved, played at a reasonable volume. Conversation was easy to have. At 6 it wasn't overcrowded (seats for everyone), by 9 the crowds had thinned out considerably, speaking more to the lack of Midtown commuters than anything else I think. Chill place for afterwork hangs, would recommend."

"I have only been to Cassidy's once and it was for late night karaoke after a wedding. And for that purpose it was absolutely perfect.The kitchen was open late, which was a godsend. I am fairly certain I had some delicious nachos. It's a little hazy to be honest. I know I was happy with my food for sure, as was the rest of my group.The tap and bottle selection had enough beers to satisfy all. More importantly, our bartender was serving quickly. It was easy to order at the bar and then wander back to the tables we were using at the back of the bar. The karaoke was set up back there. And yes it turns out that Guinness pairs well with karaoke.We had a fantastic time. I would absolutely come back. Thanks for the memorable night!"

"Stumbled in here in the midddle of a Nor'easter. I wasn't headed here, but the weather seriously threw a wrench into what I thought was my well thought out plans. But I'm so glad I did.Upon entering this Irish bar, I was met by the barkeep, Tommy who immediately welcomed me and made me feel at home. This is truly a neighborhood bar, because everyone who came in, Tommy knew their name and maybe just as importantly, what they drink.The fish and chips were good. The fish was maybe a tad bit over breaded, but definitely hot and fresh. But what really made the bar was the warm feeling you got from that place. The cozy, at home aura. The feeling that Tommy gave you as if you were old friends. He was a genuine gentleman. This is a true neighborhood bar."

"This is a nice neighborhood spot that seems to get pretty crowded after work. They have a weekday happy hour from 5-7 for $5 on bud light and Shocktop, $10 wines and other stuff.We came in on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet. Kind of charming actually because of the Victorian decor. They had the NFL football game on but it definitely was not the sports bar crowd at the time. Food isn't bad. Buffalo cauliflower had too much breading on it and tasted more like a hush puppy than the cauliflower, which was what we craved. I liked their special of the day, the penne alla vodka with fried chicken. Real good vodka sauce.I'll need to come back to try their classic dishes next time."
