"This is my spot! When you're in the mood for a Irish pub close to Penn Station and Port Authority, this is your place! We went on a Friday night when they have live music. We had a few snacks as well (mozzarella sticks and fries) which hit the spot late night. It's a classic Irish pub with Guinness and Jameson of course! Staff are friendly and even gave us a free shot! Def recommend checking out this spot especially on a Friday night!"
"The pub is rather new here. We arrived about 6:30PM. We were greeted when we walked in, and we're directly seated. Our server came to our table and asked for our drink order. He was very disinterested. It took a few minutes for our draft Guinness to arrive. And the server left without saying a word. He later came back and ask for our dinner order. My wife asked for the Shepherds Pie, and I the Bacon Spinach salad. Again the server left without another word or question. The place was extremely loud with the recorded music very loud. All the patrons were forced to shout to communicate!! And nothing at all suggested an Irish pub!! Our food came again without a word. But the food was delicious!! The pie was great! Very tasteful and perfectly seasoned. The salad was huge and so much bacon. Truly fantastic!!All and all it was good, not not at all like an Irish pub!"

"I recently stopped by this place, with my girlfriend, on a Thursday evening. We were in the mode for something light and not too heavy, and this place was recommended to me by my girlfriend. This is my first time coming here, while she has been here a few times before. We sat down and they brought out some bread and butter to snack on, while we decided on what to get. I had a bud light beer with my bread. Since I was in the mode for a wrap, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and she got the buffalo chicken fingers. The meals came out fairly quick. I really enjoyed the sauce they used on both. It was like a tangy / sweet and sour buffalo sauce. It was very tasty. The wrap came with fried and a pickle, we split the fries. Overall, I was impressed and satisfied with their buffalo chicken offered here. A great spot this is for some food. Lots of other items on the menu looked great too, and I would come back to try something new next time."
"Super good prices and great ambiance! Music is varied so it's good for everyone. The shepherds pie was delicious. We also got cosmos and beer. They have a good variety of cocktails and beers as well as a huge food menu. The bartenders are friendly and fast to serve. Highly recommend this place! Coming back for sure"
"I can't tell you how many times I'll be in the area late at night just wanting a quick drink before catching the train. Not too rowdy. Bartenders are attentive. People don't really bother you. Great spot. Now I'll be stopping by more regularly."
"I was able to drop in here just for a quick drink. I was able to sit at the bar area. I ordered a whiskey sour and it was tasty. Place wasn't packed so everything ran smoothly and didn't have to wait for my drink."
"I cannot comment on the drinks. I cannot really comment on the ambiance. What I can comment on is the service and our meal that afternoon and the service. Their chili stuffed potato skin was filling, comforting, and so good! It's a meal in itself, but it served as our appetizer. I don't see it on the menu anymore. I ordered their Harp Beer Battered Fish and Chips while he ordered the Guiness Grilled Rib Steak. Their fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The fish wasn't greasy. They were huge pieces of fish fried perfectly. It paired so well w/ the coleslaw and the tanginess from the tartar sauce. The leftovers did create a bit of grease, but it was to be expected. I still enjoyed it that night! I was thirsty and must have had 4 Diet Coke refills. Our server was quick and checked on us a few times. I really appreciate the fact that I did not have to ask for a refill of my soda. I wasn't so sure about the steak, but he finished it and said it was good. Mmmm, I'm thinking about the fish and chips and potato skins right now!"
"At last, The Lonesome Club is here to fill the food desert between Hamilton's and Le Paddock on one side and Krupa Grocery and Double Windsor on the other. Having completely transformed the Rhythm and Booze space, this is now a high-end, Irish-inflected gastropub with a fairly pricey menu. But the warmth and conviviality of the space, and the staff, should (if there is any justice in the world) keeps the crowds coming back.My bangers and mash were (was?) well-seasoned and complimented with shrooms and candied apples. My companion enjoyed his fisherman's pie, made with ham hocks, cod, and veggies. The wine menu is extensive, but I opted for a delicious Dark Hollow chocolate stout from West Kill Brewing. For dessert, we split the Guinness chocolate cake, which was a little dry but still tasty.Extra points for our awesome server, Nora, with whom we vibed on a variety of subjects, and for the celebrity at the bar."
"On a random weekday afternoon, vibes chill and this pub is, oddly, extremely nice inside. The bathrooms? Top tier. I ordered the meatball sandwich, which came with cheese and pesto. I am a sucker for a good sandwich with pesto inside, and this was no different. I was honestly so shocked by how well constructed this sandwich was. Like, the bread was just crunchy enough to keep its shape with the meatballs inside but still soft enough that it didn't scratch the top of your mouth or anything while eating it. The only thing is that it was a bit dry, even with the pesto. I still gobbled this entire thing up, though. My friends and I came to yap, and I also appreciated that they let it happen (though the fact that they weren't that busy probably helped). Food was surprisingly good, and the menu touches on a lot of different dishes. There's definitely something for everyone. I'd come back!"

Came by for some quick drinks, would definitely return for the service alone. Our server was cracking us up with her quick witted responses, and very attentive. Pub was clean and just a great spot for a no frills, good drinks, and good vibes.

This is a cute pub located right in the theater district. I came for dinner right before Redwood and it was great. There's live music and the singer was lovely. I got the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries and a pickle. The fries were great and the sandwich was good, but I though the chicken was a tad dry. Service was good although it did take a while for us to get the check despite asking a few times, I guess they were busy that night. Also, if you show the waiter your Broadway ticket you get a small discount!

This place is still a solid 3-star, even after a long hiatus. The menu has changed here and there from what I remember, and the prices are a bit stiff from your average bar and grill joint. A burger can be anywhere from $9.45 and up depending on what you want on it (comes with fries and onion rings) and for everything else, even pasta dinners and wraps are $12.00 and up. Yes, they are filling, and the portions are more than what you're paying for, but the service is really more like up to par with your local diner. You need to ask for water, ask for napkins, ask...ask...and ask some more; or ask anyone for that matter. The bar is ALWAYS hoping, so that is their cash cow; totally understandable, but seriously, it's just water in my cup - just fill it up occasionally okay? Yes, with Marine Park Funeral Home across the street, you need to gauge as to whether you should or shouldn't dine in with Nora's that night. Expect long waits and standing room only; I usually judge by how noisy it is when I call beforehand as to how long it would be for a table. Coming here last Friday with my parents, my Mom got a mozzarella burger, I got a muenster burger, and Dad got the Philly cheese steak. The total cost of dinner was $31.95; not too bad without getting any drinks. My favorite out of three, was honestly my Dad's Philly cheese steak, although it wasn't anything remotely close to what a Philly would taste like. My burger was huge, which was good, but when I asked for medium well, my first bite left drops of burger blood on my plate and into my fries. Yeah...better luck next time.

Strong drinks, friendly staff, nice pool table area in the back with darts and several televisions. There's a heavy soccer vibe. Overall fun place and great neighborhood bar!

Without a doubt, one of my favorite places to stop at for food and drink before I go catch a game at the garden. There's plenty of parking at the garages up and down the street and with enough time you might be able to find an off street parking spot. You just have to be patient and circle the. Service is great here but some of the familiar faces behind the bar have been since moved on, but the new folks I have just picked up and kept moving forward. Really clean, spot, good music, and plenty of sports on the TVs if you want to catch some soccer or anything else that's going on. Definitely appreciate the food here, it's not a massive menu but what they do they do it well. Not super greasy but just hits the spot. Can't go wrong with the burgers here or even calamari.

The name sounded familiar and we had no clue why, so we had to stop by. My friends got the espresso martini, and I went for a Dark and stormy because it sounded good for a cold night. We didn't spend much time here, but the vibe was chill, and the music was pretty good and not too loud.

Classic Irish pub in the heart of Manhattan. If they take their Guinness pouring seriously, you know it's legit! I would like to return to try some food- the people sitting next to us raved about the shepherds pie and fish & chips, so if you're hungry I would try those two dishes! The 4th floor has a rooftop, I didn't have a chance to go but heard it's nice! Great service, friendly staff, and great beer selection!

This is a very cute new gastropub. We sat at the bar on busy Saturday night. We were able to get a reservation a few hours before. Our bartender / server was great. The drinks were quite good. We tried the prima ballerina, the old fashioned and the skell and bones. They have some great whiskeys in house, specifically some I've only had served to me in Ireland or very upscale bars. Great selection! The food was hit or miss. We really enjoyed the soda bread. Really well baked. I ordered a special which was mussels cooked in cider, herbs, butter with a baguette. My boyfriend had the beef and stout soup. My mussels came WELL before his soup. Like I was finished when his soup arrived. Don't know if mine was meant to be an app and that's why there was a significant delay, or what but that should've been explained by the server if so. The mussels were good not great. There wasn't a ton of flavor to them and the toast was burnt. The stew however was fantastic. Really rich and complex flavor. Small portion sizes though. We also had the apple brandy cake which was a bit dense and dry but had good flavor. We will for sure come back but I think stick to tried and true faves like the stew and fish and chips / the myriad selection of pies that looked great coming out.

"Great space for a small outdoor oasis in the busy city. The service was 5 stars, the food was 5 stars and the value was great. Guiness was poured right with lots of drink options available. Come early, as space fills fast and is first come first serve. They have two spaces with TVs you can rent that have awnings. Alternatively, the bar attached is great fun too. Very clean pub feel. Definitely worth dropping by for a pint with friends!"
"Had a great dinner experience here last night, a Saturday. We had burgers (Gaelic and Barbecue) which were perfectly cooked and large, with delicious ingredients. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The place is lively, with games on screens all around the front room where we were seated, but it wasn't too loud to have conversation. We were able to substitute simple iceberg salads for fries (which looked great but we are trying to control ourselves). Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a pub."
"Spent a couple hours here at the bar. They do a great pint of Guinness and cocktails were also superb. It's a classic Irish bar. We did have spinach and artichoke dip which was great as well. $17 for a cocktail."
"This is a nice neighborhood spot that seems to get pretty crowded after work. They have a weekday happy hour from 5-7 for $5 on bud light and Shocktop, $10 wines and other stuff. We came in on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet. Kind of charming actually because of the Victorian decor. They had the NFL football game on but it definitely was not the sports bar crowd at the time. Food isn't bad. Buffalo cauliflower had too much breading on it and tasted more like a hush puppy than the cauliflower, which was what we craved. I liked their special of the day, the penne alla vodka with fried chicken. Real good vodka sauce.I'll need to come back to try their classic dishes next time."
"Very cool Irish bar located outside of Madison Square Garden.Only stopped here for a quick beer before a Rangers playoff game and the place was packed with Rangers fans. Bartender was very cool and the crowd was also very good.I didn't get to try any food but what I saw looked pretty good. Even though it was packed there was enough room to hang out for a little bit comfortably. There is a lot of construction going on outside but the inside was very cool. Will definitely stop here again maybe during the regular season when it won't be as crowded."
"Tried this restaurant for the first time because of restaurant week and I'm glad I did. Came for lunch with my family and most of us tried the 10oz sirloin. Despite NOT being served on those sizzling hotplates with lots of oil and/or butter, the steak was surprisingly flavorful and tasty. We all enjoyed the steak and it was cooked the way we wanted it. I had to order a salmon filet to share with my toddler. Unfortunately, he wasn't in the mood for salmon but he enjoyed the julienned veggies. Also ordered the fish and chips, as well as yhe chicken fingers for the kids. They enjoyed them both. Service was great. Love that it seems to be family owned as they were training their teenage son how to be a waiter.Overall, I would definitely come back for some tasty but affordable steak. They have alot of other items on the menu as well including pasta, chicken, fish."
"The bar/restaurant has a good vibe.We love it that they have a cute divider between dining and the bar area so it is not over crowded and noisy. We went on slow Sunday night and the host accommodate us sitting on the dining lounge that is very comfortable. The foods are average. It is better than regular bar food but it is nothing special and not flavorful. The virgin drink is a bomb, a phony Negroni!!!We will definitely go back for drinks not food"
"The food was amazing! My sis and I shared the calamari and mozzarella sticks and both we're great! I had the Caesar salad with chicken and my sister had the Mushroom Swiss burger with fries and everything was great! The second time we visited I got the messy burger (with my own substitutions) and she got the same burger because she enjoyed it so much! The service and ambiance was amazing; everyone was nice and accommodating. I'm a tourist of NYC but I'm coming back in April and they will see me!"
"This is your standard multi-level Irish pub that you'll see in midtown/hells kitchen. We stopped in to grab a pre-show bite and to watch a soccer match. We sat on the ground level and ordered a few beers and some plates. The chicken curry with rice was pretty decent. Rice was a touch undercooked but the curry flavor was excellent, and I appreciated the generous portion, ample veggies and the fries on top. The flatbread special with salami was just ok. Not a flabread, but a more doughy mini pizza that reminded me of frozen pies from the grocery. Beer was good and the service was friendly and excellent. I'd say it's a decent choice for a casual stop for the midtown/times square area.Got bit up by mozzies while there, though I suppose it wasn't their fault."
"Nephew brought me here to have pre dinner coffee martini on a wednesday night. We came on around 530pm and we were quickly seated at the bar. The bartender was friendly & nice. The place has a good cosy ambience. The place feels spacious and not so loud. We could carry conversation with out shouting at each other. I would probably come back to have a meal next time. Glance at the menu, food looks good & prices reasonable."
"Stopped in for a quick bite and an ice cold brew, not disappointed! In fact service was fast and the room was great. Ordered the steak sandwich with fries. It was flavorful and worth every cent! Nate our waiter was also very efficient. Serving up the tequila and beer. Always came by to check on us. He was a gem. Definitely recommend you sit in his area ambiance was a bit loud but hey it's football Sunday so what do you expect. Let's get loud and have a good time! Thanks Nate!"
"The scene if you want to watch all the games (and I mean, all the games at the same time) and get a stiff drink to match.I go basic when I'm at an Irish Pub and this one is an authentic one at that: welcoming bartender, relaxed vibes and heavy pour. My Tanqueray and Tonic ($11!!) was not measured, thank God! while I love my craft cocktails, sometimes when you're wrapping up your night, you just want something stiff before heading back to the hotel. (ahem, TWSS) The bros who frequent this space are all LOUD (hey, I'm over 40!) but they don't bother anyone. I mean, I would yell at the TV too if stupid named X player didn't score. Aren't they paying him millions!?! get it together. Come for the vibes and leave happy coz you didn't burn a hole in your wallet. See?! NYC is afforadble!"
"I have only been to Cassidy's once and it was for late night karaoke after a wedding. And for that purpose it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen was open late, which was a godsend. I am fairly certain I had some delicious nachos. It's a little hazy to be honest. I know I was happy with my food for sure, as was the rest of my group. The tap and bottle selection had enough beers to satisfy all. More importantly, our bartender was serving quickly. It was easy to order at the bar and then wander back to the tables we were using at the back of the bar. The karaoke was set up back there. And yes it turns out that Guinness pairs well with karaoke. We had a fantastic time. I would absolutely come back. Thanks for the memorable night!"
