"Very good was delicious glad i came back after a long time i definitely would recommend this place to all my friends and fellow yelpers as well"
"Came here for a very early dinner on a Sunday evening. It was quiet inside, only one other table, maybe two. The food was amazing. Lots of flavor and came out quickly. We had the side of vegetables, hummus, and lamb adana. The labneh is a nice touch. They don't have a full bar, just beer, wine, and soft drinks. The staff is nice and welcoming, it did seem there may have been a bit of a miscommunication or possible language barrier with the waitress about something we ordered, but it worked out totally fine. It was slightly warm inside, and the seats were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Overall, so glad I finally checked out this spot! Loved the lightning and ambiance."

"3.5 stars. This is my first time trying egusi with pounded yam. The egusi was tasty and very flavorful. I ordered the mixed meat and while the egusi was tasty the meat was very very tough. I'd definitely order egusi with the pounded yam minus the meat."
"Food was alright ended up getting a stomach ache afterwards. Staff was courteous. Place is new and clean. Wont come back here honestly."
"On a really lazy weekday evening, the craving strikes for some Blue Hour. The cwunchwap supweme (you must say it exactly like that when you talk about this with your friends) is standout, same concept as Taco Bell with a giant tortilla wrapping an abundance of fillings but much, much better execution. Both types of chicken (fried or marinated) work great inside it.Sometimes I think the appeal is telling people that I'm going to a gas station to get dinner. Bonus if you are also running low on gas--why not also treat yourself to some delicious food for remembering to fill up your tank?"
"First time trying vada pav and samosa pav. The pav/bread was so soft and buttery. In one bite, you experience the softness of the bread, the crunchiness of the samosa skin, and the smoothness of the spiced potato filling. The bread was spread with cilantro chutney and chili powder, adding an extra layer of freshness and heat.Paneer tikka roll. Perfect for snacking or a quick lunch! The grilled paneer cheese was milky and creamy!Lamb korma box. The korma was rich and nutty. The lamb was so tender it yielded to a fork's touch. A whole box contains one main entree, yellow dal, rice, paratha, onion salad... so filling!Chicken biryani. The chicken was juicy, and the whole dish was really well-spiced. Fiery, savory, tangy, sweet... very addictive.Mango lassi. Creamy, silky, and rich in mango flavor. A good companion to spicy Indian food!"
"Open late and an amazing late night meal after a night out. I would order this even if it wasn't 3 in the morning my friend swears by the chicken over rice as her go to and I had the falafel roll. I will tell you the spicy sauce is no joke and I can usually handle a bit, so proceed with caution. I'm excited to try more things on the menu!"
"Great customer service; my little one is very extroverted and was constantly saying hi to the poor guy behind the counter , but he always took the time to say hi back. He then gifted a banana pudding to him on top of that. It was very kind of him! The place is pretty much take out only. There's a table that has 3 seats, but with the amount of traffic coming in, it would be pretty uncomfortable. We ordered: -Chicken tenders combo- Nashville hot Chicken sandwiches (mild) -Mac and cheeseAll of the chicken was juicy and well cooked. Oftentimes chicken tenders end up being dry because it's chicken breast and smaller pieces; but these were delicious! All chicken is made to order, so this does mean you may be waiting a little, but who doesn't want piping hot fried chicken? Plus the fries are thicker cut and fried well. Now there is a slight downside to this review, and I'm not reducing the rating because I still really enjoyed the food and absolutely would come again. This wasn't Nashville hot chicken. It wasn't tossed in sauce. I'm not mad at that since I got it to bring home and this meant the chicken wasn't soggy. Mac and cheese was good; I enjoyed it but my kiddos weren't a fan of the bigger macaroni noodles with a stronger chew. I thought it was perfectly creamy and al dente though. The banana pudding was creamy and a nice option to end a meal with. Totally didn't take pictures because we destroyed the food in the car"
"This is for both the Bay Ridge AND NJ location and let me explain why: I went to their website to order for pick up and from my hunger and excitement I failed to notice I placed an order for Jersey. I called the NJ location in a panic and they were so kind with me. They transferred my order to Brooklyn and when I showed up they already knew what was going on. Me being the anxious mess that I am kept asking if it was okay and my guy was so chill. Customer service: A+Ok, now the FOOD! The smash burger is what it should be (and I've had my share of smash burgers) with a little boop of their sauce that makes it special. Fries are delicious. My hubs got the honey butter chicken sandwich and when he took his first bite he went "OMG it's like butter" so that's some tender chicken! And the Zalim burger? Their signature burger?? That charred grill flavor is worth making the trip to Jersey. It's a pretty big burger, too! I'll definitely be back because I need to try everything on the menu. The care for the customer is matched by the tasty menu. And when you (I) find them online, make sure you're (I'm) ordering from the right location (yes this is me reminding myself)."
"This was FIREEEEEEE. Got the lamb box which came with Mac and cheese and fries and a ton of flavorful sauce and lord the portion size was enough for two and heavy as two bricks. I couldn't stop eating and it kept me full for the rest of the day. Bought one for my brother who is very nonchalant when it comes to food and he was saying it was easily one of the best things he'd eaten and he wanted to keep eating despite being full. You can easily make two meals out of this. The lamb reminded me of halal cart lamb. Also got the jerk chicken Rasta pasta which was a smaller portion size but still alot of food. Admittedly I didn't enjoy the taste of the chicken, I think it was the meat itself that didn't have the best flavor but the jerk seasoning itself was fine. Pasta was in a more liquidy sauce so it slid right off the noodles. I think I would've enjoyed it better with the lamb. Also tried the oxtail Mac and cheese empanada. It was my first time having oxtail and don't think it's my thing but loved the creativity of the menu item. Spectacular spot with a few stools to sit and eat at. They weren't open exactly at opening time so I recommend coming closer to 30 min post opening. Would be back if it weren't so far from me!"
"Food was very tasty. Service was very friendly. Would definitely come back again if I was in the area and hungry. I took the leftover sauce home and grilled my own chicken and it was even more delicious than their food."
"HI There!! Hope you're having a good day... I am!! Lets just say... Flamin Chicken & Pizza was really amazing. The menu selection is GIGANTIC!!! These guys have a spectacular menu full of all types of food. You will definitely find something to eat to choose from on their menu. I tried the wings and fries and they were delicious. The service was also perfect and everybody was kind. Thumbs up for Flamin Chicken & Pizza."

I ordered $50 worth of food. Enough is enough. This is a L9. Chicken Broccoli Lunch Special....however it's mostly just broccoli...barely micro fragments of chicken. This has happened wayyy to many times. On top of that when I order extra duck sauce and hot sauce. Want to know how much they give ? "0"....either their employees don't care or don't understand English. It disgusts me that I even went there after the first 3 times of getting broccoli over rice. Why are you guys being cheap with your food? It's comments like this due to situations I deal with that lead to talk about one of my favorite spots. Stop being cheap with the food it's just chicken ....why not give enough? Why forget the sauce ? Change because this establishment has lost my interesting along with me putting you guys on blast. Fire your employees and change this crap up

Came here with some friends who were visiting and honestly didn't know much of what to expect. I'm from around the area and Ali baba has been a restaurant in the neighborhood for years, but I actually never went. Not too long ago they moved to this new location and when my friend said they wanted to try Mediterranean food I figured might as well finally go. I have to say overall the service was amazing and the ambience was cool. I only got a picture of the initial bread which was super impressive when it came out. I ordered the eggplant moussaka, and unfortunately was surprised when it arrived with lamb in it as it wasn't listed on the menu and I really don't like lamb. When I asked the waiter if it had lamb in it, he was amazingly accommodating and had me pick out an item I would be able to eat. I ended up getting the chicken skewers which were delicious. Overall great experience, yummy food, and amazing service. I would come back again!

A long overdue review!! I have been coming to Buka for a few years it is an absolute gem. After visiting Nigeria I was craving nigerian food and buka answered my calling. Their food is 100% authentic and the service was lovely. Upon entering you are greeted politely and seated if you are dining in or given the menu if you are getting food to go. I had the suya and the fufu with pounded yam and egusi and I left no crumbs on my plate!! The flavors were yummy. I love the african music they play in the establishment also. The prices were reasonable and I do plan on returning.

This is Charli XCX's album Brat in restaurant form. And I LOVE Brat. Just as I first felt about Brat, I had misgivings about Blue Hour. It seems cool in a way that's over my head. But keep listening. The music starts to sound amazing and you get to the deeper, much more nuanced message behind the grating exterior. In "Sympathy is a Knife," Charli relishes in sympathy for not being as mainstream as a certain blonde pop superstar, but she hates it too. Aagggh feelings to amazing dance beats, beam me up!!!! Similarly, the food at Blue Hour can seem overly simple and direct: we have a chopped cheese, a chicken parm sandwich, chicken tenders, tots, and the cleverly named "Cwunchwrap Supweme." But their tenders have a mild lemon pepper seasoning; a nod to lemon pepper wings. The chicken parm sandwich represents NYCs Italian heritage. There's a halal chicken rice bowl (more on that later), and a loco moco, although I'm not sure that's about more than being open after midnight by the Myrtle Wyckoff L. These items are really beautifully made and have some really subtle great things happening. These items are also so specifically New York. So while the items are few, they feel so carefully considered. Owners Mohamed Ghiasi and Ali Zaman previously opened two NYC Afghani restaurants, including Little Flower, and they're bringing their mastery of cooking to the edgy presentation. They source their produce from halal markets and make everything from scratch up to the porcini stock for the loco moco. They said in an interview that Afghanis are in large part responsible for NYCs amazing food scene, so tying that all together in a concept is really friggin awesome. It's a pretty weighty idea dressed in frivolous clothing- so, basically Charli XCXs album Brat, did I mention that before? And god damnit it's fun.

Our server, Ralin, warmly welcomed us and instantly made us feel comfortable. He began by serving refreshing mango lassi drinks and offered insightful recommendations for our meal. With genuine enthusiasm, he explained each dish and highlighted the most popular ones in India.Every dish we tasted showcased the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, with spices and sauces harmonizing perfectly. We started with Samosa Chaat, a popular Indian street food. It was a delightful explosion of flavors and textures - sweet, spicy, melted in your mouth. Following Ralin's suggestion, we tried the Bhel Puri, which quickly became my favorite. He described it as Mumbai's most popular street food. It was sour, sweet, salty, crunchy, you name it! Despite the variety, everything came together beautifully. I highly recommend trying it! The chicken tikka roll was perfectly marinated, without being greasy or heavy. We also ordered the shrimp tikka masala, a true comfort food. The creamy sauce leaned slightly sweet for my taste, but it was balanced by the soft and fluffy rice, flavorful lentils, a refreshing onion salad, and the paratha - a flaky, layered flatbread. I did miss the option of naan, which is perfect for scooping up the sauce. The shrimp biryani was equally delightful, packed with flavor in every bite. I noticed the biryani contained a mix a both yellow and white rice grains. We had to end off the night with desserts. The gulab jamun was my personal favorite, it was cold but Ralin said that it's also really good warm. They are pillowy soft dough balls that are deep-fried till golden and then soaked in a sweet sugary syrup. Super sweet!! I wasn't really a fan of the ras malai but I liked the creamy cardamom milk sauce. Food was incredibly filling, so come hungry! The small bites are served on small plates making it easy to share. We also love how convenient it is to box the food since it's already on trays. For an authentic Indian food experience, look no further! The restaurant might be small, but it buzzes with takeout orders.

We ordered the Mix Rice Patter (with chicken, lamb and falafel) from this food cart around 10 pm on a Thursday when restaurants in this area were basically all closed. If I remember correctly, it cost only $11. Everything in the platter tasted quite good, and the quantity was very generous (in fact, too large for the two of us to finish).

I ordered here twice from Grubhub and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I got the smash burger and buffalo chicken ranch sandwich. The smash burger is so damn good, and I love the coleslaw on the buffalo chicken sandwich. I think im addicted now.

"If you know me, you know I'm a stickler for great customer service. Yesterday, I visited Blazin Chicken and Gyro--a new fast food spot--and I have to say, my experience was top-notch! My server, Dev, was incredibly sweet and helped me choose the perfect meal.I went with the mixed chicken and lamb gyro, paired with a side of mozzarella sticks, Oreo waffles, and strawberry lemonade. Blazin's menu is packed with creative and delicious options--it's like a modern, upgraded twist on Kennedy's Fried Chicken. Now for the taste test: Joel, the chef behind my gyro, absolutely nailed it. His work was the definition of cooking with passion and care.If you're ever around Nostrand Avenue, do yourself a favor and stop by. And don't forget to mention your girl sent you!"
"What an awesome dining experience at this spot. We dined in this Turkish family style restaurant In their private dining room downstairs which is basically a cave.Service was 10/10, food was great. And we were allowed to bring our own bottles of wines What I loved the most is how traditional and authentic everything here was, from the service to the location, to the waiters, everyone was Turkish. It felt like my friends and I were transported to dinner in turkey, yet we were still in NewYork. Food was great, service was exceptional and the group had a blast celebrating our dear friends birthday. We were all truly impressed."
"Smooth spot if you need sum quick.Chicken chopped cheese was solid, but too salty.Had some honey BQQ wings though and those joints were fire, no lie.I had some ghost pepper sauce with it too, went crazy. No pics on this post yet but I give it a 6.5/10"
"Outstanding Greek spot in Brooklyn! I ordered the special which consisted of tender lamb with okra, rice and pita bread. The sauce was very flavorful! Everything was delicious. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere was great. They kept the windows and doors open so there was a cool breeze coming in. Great first meal during my NY trip! I read many reviews on other middle eastern/ Greek places nearby and this is definitely the spot to go!"
"Yummy thai food! Came by over the weekend on Saturday for lunch and they had lots of seats! Great for big groups. Food was good and very flavorful, just a smaller portion, still good for sharing if you come with a group and you can try more dishes. Friendly staff! Place was nicely decorated too! Try the spicy basil noodle with duck, curry with chicken, pineapple fried rice, and pad thai with shrimp! Thai tea is good too. Ube sticky rice was interesting for dessert. 5% discount if you pay by cash."
"REALLY loved Namkeen! Fried chicken, Nashville heat, and Pakistani flavors! Wow! What a combo! I really liked all the different fun ways they use the fried chicken. I'm a spice girl and I love that they have a variety of spice levels. All the staff were super sweet, welcoming, and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. I like the open view of the kitchen and serving are. Even with the very busy night they were having, I noticed the kitchen and serving area was still very well kept. I took my order to go and even after a 45 minute drive home, the food was still really fresh and so good!I was so torn between what to choose, so I ordered a few different items.-Clucking Waffle Sandwich (hot-blaow spice level). I don't even like waffles but when I saw it was jalapeño & cheddar?? Umm SOLD! This is easily a 10/10 item! The portion is huge! I was stuffed with just half of it. I LOVE spice so the heat level was easily manageable for me but it definitely has a kick. I had 3 other people try it and they all were dying and running for water. The pickles, coleslaw, and aioli complimented it very well.- Masala fries. I wasn't really impressed with this. It was just regular fries with extra salty seasoning. 3/5-Oreo Cookies & Cream milkshake: thick and creamy and not overly sweet. 5/5-Chicken Tikka Mac & Cheese. Again, another really huge serving. Was not able to eat more than a bite after the half of waffle sandwich. I give this a solid 4/5. The mac & cheese was nice and creamy and the chicken added a nice crunch to it but the tikka sauce was very rich and a tad overpowering.-Nashville Sandwich (medium- knees weak heat level). Again, really filling and the pickles, coleslaw, and aioli complimented it very well. Easy 5/5. I also wanted to purchase the flavored sodas but I forgot and the line was way too long to go back lol next time for sure! Will CERTAINLY be back to try some more items."
"We stopped by The Munchies for takeout and lucked out - right after we ordered, a line stretched out the door! What We Ordered:Mix Platter (Chicken & Lamb): I'm not usually a fan of lamb, but their lamb was surprisingly delicious. The chicken was flavorful and tender!Wings (Buffalo & Lemon Pepper): The buffalo wings were spot on - perfectly crispy with just the right kick. The lemon pepper, however, didn't quite hit the mark for me. I'd probably skip that flavor next time.Everything we tried was tasty, and the quick service made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back for those buffalo wings and to try more from the menu!"
"In terms of fast food, this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Whether you want a meat and rice bowl, fried chicken, a pita, wrap, or hero, they've got you covered. When we got there there was a decent crowd so it makes sense that we had to wait a little while for our food, but it came out very hot and fresh. The seasoned fries and the fried chicken were both nicely flavored and had a great level of crisp. For only about $35 total we have enough food for maybe 3 meals each for 2 people. I definitely plan to order food from here in the future; they have free delivery for all orders over $10. The food may not have been perfect, but for the price and convenience, I think it's very worth it. Much better tasting (and most likely much cleaner) than halal carts."
"such a cute interior and lovely staff!ordered the falafel, calamari, and zucchini pancakes and were pleasantly surprised with all! if you had to choose one app, def get the calamari. it was slightly spicy and had a good chew."
"India house is fantastic. They have thee best naan! Their take out special is a great value and it's the best Indian food I've found in Brooklyn. Definitely order over the phone rather than with delivery services. They deserve the direct business."
"The new Gyro King recently opened in Bay Ridge, dishing out heaping platters of rice, salad, meats, and falafel at affordable prices. I ordered chicken with rice ($6.99), and was very pleased with the giant portions of rice, chicken, and salads. The rice and chicken were both seasoned with lots of spices, and the chicken, mixed with peppers and tomatoes, wasn't dry at all. The salad was fine, just a collection of fresh vegetables, but I liked that it included chickpeas. They have a bunch of sauces, including the usual white and hot sauce, and you can always add extra sauce (or just add them all yourself) from the sauce bottles in the dining area. There's a comfortable dining area with some booths and tables, and they have a bathroom in the back. It's great to have another counter service place in the neighborhood, especially one with such tasty food for great prices!"
"Food is not the issue here. Food is great. The problem is the service. We got our to-go order, and our Uber driver was running late so we figured we'd just open one of our entrees to get a couple of bites as we were starving after a long flight with a toddler in haul. The waitress came out to tell us that we can't eat in the waiting area (pictured below) because it's for customers who are waiting. This is at 9pm where there is a zero person waiting line, and we clearly aren't taking advantage of some system by eating outside instead of dining in. Zero awareness of the situation (tired people who are standing while taking a couple of bites of one entree, not having a full out meal), and made us pack up, and had no regard for our context. Don't care how good the food is, not coming back."
"Ordered from here from UberEats. Delivery was fine.On to the food...We ordered 2 chicken wings meals. One spicy, one original. Both came with fries and a soda. The spicy was great. Good crunch. Spicy to the mouth but not too spicy. I got an even number of wings and drumsticks. The original however was not the same breading. Also... they gave me tips! You know the pointy part of the wing? With no meat? Who does that? It was not a true 8 pc. I got 4 of the tips. Smh.I'm not sure I'll order again since not worth my money to get skin and bones."
"Have come here loads of times when I want simple, spicy halal chinese food. They make great entrees and have a large lunch menu that's even available on the weekends. Love their curry beef with chicken fried rice. Sometimes the appetizers are a little too oily, but some people prefer it that way I guess. They have a nice area to sit down as well, I've gone with family several times. Service is always great, I always get what I ordered and very quickly too, often within 10-15 minutes."
"The first bite into the chicken bun and I knew I made the right choice for lunch! It was my first time visiting so I wasn't quite sure what to order, the exceedingly patient and pleasant young lady working helped me...I settled on the chicken combo set which included a chicken bun, soup, grilled and steamed chicken with rice and a Thai iced tea ($25.90 with tip and tax). The food was good...like really, really good. It's located in a food hall with a variety of restaurants which all looked really good (Betong had the best reviews so I decided on this spot). It's clean, comfortable, and easily accessible! Cant wait to return."
"This is a brand new franchise in my neighborhood. They have 15 stores around Queens, this is the second one in Brooklyn. I tried the falafel over rice, so delicious and the service is so delightful, and everyone is always smiling and willing to help and answer questions. The place is new so it very spacious; so there's a lot of room. They also serve dessert"
"My husband and I like to come here after our workout - especially when he's starving because it's close and opened at late hours. He always gets the large fries (which is great!!) and the chicken over rice. For the price we pay and the portions we get, it's a great deal."
"I came to this country back in 2000, I don't know if they were open then. But I think in 2005 when I started eating from here. In 2024 there are hundreds of Halal place now in New York City . But back in 2005 this was the only place which was serving 100% halal food. I used to come from Staten Island , then from queens just to get some Chinese food ! And still after all this years when I am in Atlantic avenue I still get off from the train just to get some beef lo main for my son. Because that's the only place he likes lo main from. They are always extremely busy, sometimes they do mess up the order. But I am a loyal customer & because of their actions trying to feed us 100% halal food when no one wanted to, I will forgive small mistakes. Anyone who lived in New York City back then knows how much we all Muslims appreciated them! I will definitely try to take some pictures when I go next time."
"Food 4.5 spicy chicken lomein was very good. Good portion size. With it.Service was ok to goodAmbiance for a quick bite is good.Would definitely try againHalal Asian fusion. Also had coconut milk Boba very good"
"The burgers here are FANTASTIC!! Please get the masala fries and you really can't go wrong with any burger order. I'm not kidding when I say I was craving burgers for days on end after this visit. Met the owner briefly here as well and he says the Brooklyn spot is the best ;)Please stop by this cozy store and grab a burger bite in the neighborhood - you won't be sorry! thnx for reading"
"I've been patiently waiting for The Munchies to open for the past several months. The social media posts from their other location showed an appetizing menu. I decided to check them out today for lunch, and I was not disappointed. The staff are so friendly. It's always refreshing to be warmly greeted and welcomed when entering a restaurant. The menu boasts burgers, halal plates, wings, fish & shrimp, and hot sandwiches. You can order everything as an individual item or a combo with sides and a drink. Today I ordered a 6 piece traditional wings with hot garlic sauce and a 6 piece jumbo shrimp combo with fries and a canned soda. Good wings have been really hard to come by in this neighborhood, but that role seems to have been filled by The Munchies. The wings were a good size, crispy, and thoroughly sauced. They have a number of sauces from which to choose. I really loved the shrimp, seasoned perfectly and fried just right. Also, points for their healthy portion of seasoned fries.Inside is really bright and clean. There's no place to sit, so be prepared to take your food with you. The prices are fair and actually a bit lower than similar places around. Again, the wings were really good. What I didn't see on their menu but noticed once inside was their dessert display with cakes and cheesecake. They are open late, also a welcome addition to the neighborhood food scene."
"I've ordered from this place many many times and everything they make is so good. The butter chicken, the samosas, aloo tikka, the haleem, the roti, okra, all amazing. And they don't just add in a crappy salad for free. They give you a beautiful salad with perfectly fresh vegetables. And the staff are so pleasant and kind. I really believe that this is one of the best restaurants in NYC."
"I love this cart, falafel is awesome. Falafel sandwich or add a few pieces falafel on top of a rice/meat dish."
