For mains, there was grilled sardines, baked sole, calamari and a sauced up shrimp dish. The shrimp was overcooked but the sauce was incredible. We had a side of steamed vegetables and sweet beets- healthy and delectable. All the seafood is on ice on full display. The waitstaff are vigilant. They shared an amazing dessert- on the house. Even with a reservation, we were seated at a banquet table and tables had to be moved. Overall, a terrific experience destination to share with friends."

I came for lunch and reserved a table for 4 on there website and bought a gift card for $500 value for $450. Great deal. When I arrived the Hostess handed my gift card to me. They had it ready in an envelope under my reservation. Nice touch. I ordered the fish special which was sea bass. Delicious! prepared perfectly. A winner! You can't go wrong with fresh fish. Lots of selections on the menu. The acoustics were good- every table full, lots of background chatter but you can't hear anything specific from the people talking at the nearby tables I could conduct my business and hear well without distractions at my table. I hate places where you can't hear people at your own table. Great acoustics here.Overall this spot is a winner. Directly across the street from Grand Central Station. A great looking bar. Clean Bathrooms. Check them out. Nice spot!"

"Holy hell, this place was incredible. I was referred there by a client so myself and two of my coworkers went. We had oysters for an appetizer, which, how can you screw up oysters? I had the swordfish, one of my coworkers had Chilean sea bass, the other one had the ahi tuna. Everything was done to perfection with great flavors. The waiters are very old school in that they don't become part of the experience or the conversation, they just quietly take care of things like you don't even know they're there. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town"

This evening we invited our friends to celebrate a special birthday. We started with their 4 Dip Sampler ( served with their homemade pita) and their Beet Salad.Then we had their Spinach Triangles and their Zucchini Fritters. We also ordered their phenomenal Haloumi Skewers and their Saganaki! For dessert we shared their delightful chocolate cake and their homemade and awesome rice pudding!"

"I feel sooo bad giving this place two stars Aesthetically this place has a lovely set up! I mean all over social media its tooted as the best date spot, the prettiest place in NYC, etc. And there's no denying how much attention has been taken to it's appearance. It's Beautifully decorated from the outside all the way through to the bathrooms. YES, even the restrooms were decorated for photo ops!I was invited here for an event dinner and it was a nice invite and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. However, the way I got sick afterwards?!? Whew! I wouldn't wish that on anyone! My stomach was in turmoil for a good three days if not more. I had a salad and the steak and fries. Other people in our party had ordered the shrimp, lamb lollipops, and kabobs. The waiter was really attentive and made sure we were all situated. I believe his name was Nicoli but I could be totally wrong. The service and ambiance were really pretty nice but the way that food shut me down, I'd be beyond hesistant to go back. Upon leaving I saw the restaurant received a 'B' rating. I do wish I noticed that beforehand. Maybe it would have saved me a lot of pain and suffering. Go here to take phots but somewhere else to eat for sure"

"Chicken Feastin where have you been all my life? Was looking for a new spot to place lunch order and the name caught the eye. First time I had the Chicken and Ribs combo. The chicken was juicy and had a nice char on it. The ribs were tender and flavorful. Had Dolmades as my side and while the flavor was on point they were a bit too soft for me. Second time I got the Lamb Gyro platter and they really dont skrimp on the meat. Nicely seasond strips of meat over very solid yellow rice and a great Greek salad. For the price this is a substantial amount of food. The menu is quite varied with Greek dishes, chicken dishes,burgers etc so something for everyone for such a hole in the wall storefront. Delivery is done by them and is fast. They have earned a spot on our lunch rotation."

"I was looking to order something semi healthy for dinner and came across this place & spoiler alert: it's surprisingly great! I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter which came with a great portion of protein, Greek salad, yellow rice, & pita. The chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection which made up for the underwhelming and relatively bland sides. I was looking forward to trying their tzatziki, but they didn't include it. I also ordered a small lamb chop ($5) on the side and it was really really good - perfectly cooked and juicy. Their strengths are definitely their meats."

Soft enough to scoop from their house-made appetizers and not leave you with a chipped tooth haha.I was not thrilled with their Fried Pickle Chips. I think they tried too hard here. The batter was thick yet tasty. It held the pickle chip and its flavor well, but the chip was a thicker cut. This is no good. A thicker chip will hold the pickle juices and it will not fry well and get crispy. Therefore, when you take a bite, the hot juices will burn your mouth.The highlight for me was their Lamb Chops... sooooo good!!! Mouth watering, cut just right, meaty, flavorful, juicy. I am craving some right now. They were so good that I didn't even feel the need to dip them into the chimichuri sauce it came with."

"Hubby is a HUGE fan of their signature salad, and I wasn't in the mood to cook hamburgers, so we opted to order through GrubHub, and ordered.I got their beef and lamb platter with the additional costs for Greek fries and extra pita because, who doesn't need extra pita? The portions are very generous, and the delivery came pretty quickly, considering I'm a 7 minute drive from here. The food was packaged with care and was plenty warm from the cold elements. The meat wasn't greasy and the fries held up pretty nicely; not total mush. The salad is always to my husband's liking, and he inhaled it before I could take a good look at it. When the craving is real, it can't be tamed!"

"The restaurant has immense family atmosphere making it a true gem in the ues. You are greeted when you come in. The food is consistently on point and always cooked to perfection. Every time I've been there they have given freshly prepared Greek desserts.Some things I've gotten think are phenomenal- calamari, stuffed grape leaves, sausage, country salad, Delmonico steaks, lamb chops, orzo paella. Only downsides is that it's a small restaurant so you need a reservation and sometimes the service takes a minute."

My husband ordered lentil soup & the chicken souvlaki dinner, instead of rice he wanted grilled veggies but they didn't have any or wouldn't replace it. I ordered the same thing, I did want the rice, but thought the red sauce was odd on the rice but it was good and the portions are generous. We had leftovers but since we were visiting we couldn't take them back to hotel. I loved the food and my husband thought it was good. Drinks: I ordered the Cabernet, it was very light but ok. Service: GoodAmbiance: Good, very clean, casual and nice. We would come back if we lived here. Price: $109 for two people"

"Anniversary Dinner!My BF chose Kyma to celebrate our anniversary and boy oh boy.... Kyma was the perfect choice! We had a 7pm reservation on a Saturday evening. Perfect timing to enjoy our meal prior to Kyma turning into more of a lively setting. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown to our table. Shortly there after our waiter came over, introduced himself and assisted with a few questions I had about apps and recommended cocktails. After chatting I went with the octopus instead of the calamari and I'm glad I did! The Fava underneath the octopus was to die for. This dish came together so well, I couldn't stop eating it. For my meal I had the Black Seabass with Broccolini. Also very good with large portions allowing me to have a to go bag. Around 8:30ish the lights got dimmer, the tempo of the music changed and the volume turned up! It was also most party timeeee!! We ended our night off with cheesecake brought out with sparklers (to celebrate our anniversary). We both enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going back!"

"Lunch Review: Wonderful three course prefix lunch special for $38. In addition to the lunch special, you are also served a complimentary hummus plate with some crunchy pita bread. Avra offers a lot of healthy options and they do not skimp on the portions. I loved the Greek Salad and Lavraki! Everyone left full and happy with their choices. Expect the lunch to take about 1.5 - 2 hours (at least on a Saturday). They do not rush you which is appreciated. Our server was very attentive and kept our water glasses full and plates cleared. I would highly recommended Avra for a great lunch at a nice restaurant in the Rock Center area."

If we didn't want to try the seafood main courses, would've been also equally satisfied with ordering a variety of the appetizers. Both the eggplant chips and the moussaka were really good, not too greasy, well flavored, and portions were sizable. So was the Greek salad. By the end of three appetizers we were pretty full! For the main the king shrimp wasn't as good and in fact a bit "fishy". The lavraki whole fish was solid and very fresh and flavourful. Service was efficient and attentive. The dining setting was not as intimate like many NYC restaurants as it's a big venue. Overall recommend for seafood"

"Again, I cannot fathom the people who rate this place less than four or five stars.I came on a Thursday night. Easy to get a reservation. Was sat immediately. My first table was wobbly, so the server re-sat me quickly. Service was again, amazing. There doesn't seem to be one single server or bartender assigned to any individual table. Multiple people interacted with me and checked on me, and I actually prefer this, as it seems like a community, or a party.I got the Pikila, or choice of three, and let the server of the moment choose for me. I had the tzatziki (yogurt, dill, cucumber), muhamara (roasted red pepper, pomegranate, walnuts), and kopanisti (whipped spicy feta and chili oil). An amalgam of flavor, each boasted a different flavor profile. Would be great for a group to try together. I was unable to consume too much as a single diner, but was glad I tried.Last time I had the salmon as my main and was a little disappointed, so this time I had the marinated New York strip, which was moist and cooked to my instruction (medium). Fairly well seasoned, though maybe could have had a little more, and maybe some char. The herbed fries were excellent. Hearty portion, I couldn't even finish it all.And again, I had several drinks. Loved the cucumber based drinks--served cold and fresh. The first two were cucumber based. The others were a mix. But all were wonderful. Definitely developing into one of my village go-to's."

"Came here for an early dinner. The crowd picks up around 6:30. You wouldn't find a seat at the bar. There are long bench for large groups. As we were seated and looking at the menu, I overheard the server messed up the drink order for the table next to ours. I joked with my friend, I hope it doesn't happen to us. It did happened to us. I ordered shrimp pasta but got sautéed shrimp instead. They brought the shrimp back and told me it's going to a wait for the shrimp pasta. The restaurant was only at 40% occupancy and they messed up the orders. The entree Mama' chicken came before the zucchini chips. We did enjoy the appetizer. The wait for the shrimp pasta was at least 15 minutes. Which we finished the appetizer. I asked my friend to start on her entree. The Mama' chicken was getting cold. Nobody came over to check on us or refill water. The server did not removed the wrong order from the bill. It took another 10 minutes to get the correct bill since the restaurant was starting to fill up."

"Good neighborhood Greek spot. I'm there most often for lunch, and they have a reasonably priced lunch special for souvlaki sandwiches and fries (or salad for a small upcharge). I usually get the chicken souvlaki, and the pita arrives stuffed with tzatziki, fries, tomatoes, onions, and lots of chicken. Their house salad is one of my favorite types of salads, so I often pair that with the sandwich for a very satisfying meal. We're also a fan of their saganaki appetizer, and my kid could eat almost the entire block of fried cheese on his own. Seating is both inside and in the backyard, and they also do a lot of takeaway orders."

"Had brunch before a matinee at adjacent City Center. (Note: Estatorio Milos no longer offers a price fixe brunch, so be prepared to pay full fare from the a-la-carte dinner menu).Nice open feel to the dining room, with high ceilings and judiciously placed dramatic floral arrangements. I had never tried Greek chardonnay before, so enjoyed a glass of Gerovassilou Epanomi which was a lovely golden fruit forward wine. Dips were yummy but accompanying pita bread was sparse, so we made do with the toasted bread that came gratis. We shared the lobster pasta for two, a large platter of perfectly cooked linguine bathed in a rich tomatoey, lobster-laden sauce. If you like lobster this dish is highly recommended, in fact it was among the best meals I've enjoyed over my long gluttonous culinary history. We were thinking of ordering dessert but the place was getting crowded and our server was MIA so we skipped it.Loved the food but given their "foodflation" pricing I probably won't be back for a little bit."

"I used to get Souvlaki for delivery at work and would always order the same thing - two of the the SGR Bifteki Kotopoulo Pita ($9.75 - ground chicken, tomato, red onions, fries & tzatziki-spicy feta). I always thought this was a fast to-go spot, but recently ordered pickup dinner from here and it's a cute little restaurant with cute Greek decor inside. The Tyrocroquettes (Cheese Saganaki - Kaisers, kefalograviera & feta cheese) were fried balls of cheese - nicely crispy on the outside and came with a Tzatziki dipping sauce. I also got the Bifteki Skewer ($6.75 - beef skewer, served with tzatziki and pita). Solid Greek restaurant in the midtown east area - will be back!"

"Visited Meze for the first time with my husband on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm. It wasn't very packed yet, only about 2 other tables at that time. We started out with some appetizers. We ordered the Garlic Dip and the Blue Claw Crab Cakes. The crab cakes were tasty with the side of sauces. For entrees, we ordered the Lamb gyro platter which came with fries, salad, pita and the tzatziki and a chicken gyro sandwich. The platter is a LOT of food so it was well worth the $22! We enjoyed all of the food and cannot wait to come back and try other menu items!"

"Yum! Finally had the chance to check out Tribeca's newest Greek spot. The inside is stunning, very open airy with the feeling of a Greek island without being too kitschy. The bar area is stunning and their small plates and cocktails were great so it would even be a nice place to go for cocktails and drinks. We went earlier in the evening on a Saturday night with a group of 6 and we were seated at a circle table which was awesome. The service was very attentive and gave good recommendations. We definitely recommend the classic greek salad (all the veggies were so fresh), octopus, dips, and swordfish skewers. And the crab cakes they were great! Special shout out too to the baklava it was some of the best I've ever had. One thing to note as the night goes on the music does change to more of a Greek club vibe and it gets a little louder. Which is a super fun vibe Just something to note if you're looking for something more intimate."

Saturday afternoon with a party of two for late lunch summons Greek cuisine in Lower East Side, Manhattan, NY. It was rather quiet with few patrons and no wait is needed. The atmospheric ambiance revolves the Greek national flag colors blue and white resemble a Greek Isle. None of the wine by the glass pique my interest. I did not see Retsina and Assyrtiko on their wine list which are very well-known wines for Greek food pairing. I decided on water which was already provided. I have minimal experience with Greek cuisine, but I have always enjoyed a nicely stuffed gyro or chicken skewers. Our server Elisa H. was somewhat pushy as she collected our plates while I was still consuming my entree, but my dinning buddy finished his meal. Neither of us ordered an appetizer, side dish, specials, nor alcohol. Augh, can I finish the remnants of my entree as it literally is the one piece for the last bite... even Jesus finished his last meal for the Last Supper!! There was no dinning patrons flooding the restaurant standing waiting for a table, ergo what is the rush? We spent most of our time talking about artists whose performance lack energy with zealous and subsequently eating. Price is reasonable and aligns to 2025 inflation era as the new normal. Takeout menus are available for grabs. The circular tables are intensely small to fend an intimate dinning experience with your party.Souvlaki Pita $8.75 + add shrimp $2.00 = $10.75Pita wrapped with tomato chunks, red onions, fries, Tazatziki sauce and shrimp. The pita bread was very fresh and soft. Unfortunately, I did not carefully read the menu as there were French fries in this pita gyro which was intensely weird. There were no lettuce in this pita wrap gyro. I like the red onions which was very minimal, but enhanced the flavor and the shrimp were small size. The Tazatziki sauce was average flavor. In general the pita gyro ate my fill as I always enjoy pita wraps.Garides Saganaki $25.00Sautéed shrimp skillet with green peppers, Feta cheese, tomato sauce and Ouzo. The pita bread were very fresh cut into triangle shape. The shrimp were, thankfully, not swimming in tomato sauce for the appearance of tomato soup.Souroti sparkling water $9.00"
