"Back again for brunch and it did not disappoint! You order at the counter and bus your own table, but the vibe is laid-back with great music. The lamb hash was insanely tender and flavorful, and the roasted chicken is a must get. My boyfriend loved his baked eggs and lamb sausage too. It might take a minute for the food, but trust me--it's so worth the wait!"

"I came to this restaurant with my parents and family friends. To be honest I didn't know what to expect. At first glance, the menu seemed kind of boring like a typical brunch place without zing, but that could have just been the website design. However, when I heard about the reviews for the restaurant and when I heard that the food was great. I was more excited to give it a try. I ordered the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a poached egg. I also ordered a virgin bloody mary. The food was really good and I was happy to be proven wrong. The portions weren't too much or too little. I was happy with how much of the smoked salmon they put on the toast because it can be a pricy ingredient. I also loved the flavor of my bloody mary. Many people think that a virgin bloody mary is just tomato juice but it's so much more than that and they went above and beyond to make it good."
"Service here was great! Our server was very kind and accommodating. I also loved that there was live music with jazz tunes playing in the background was a wonder touch. The space is small but cozy. But, we were able to get a same day reservation for the evening on a Friday night. Appetizers:Mushroom flatbread was deliciousOctopus seems like it was boiled a bit to long and not charred enough. Branzino was tasty but not deboned well. But the flavors were great. The capers balanced well with the dish. I was told the brussel sprouts were yummy!Cardamom Panna Cotta was SO GOOD! A must try"
"Sat at the bar until a table was free.Bartender was great.Food was delicious and waitstaff was attentive. It was not crowded by the time we were seated. It was quiet enough for conversation. We weren't trying to park, but there was no street parking nearby."
"We held our ceremony and reception at Bacchus for our intimate (70 person) wedding a month ago - and my husband and I (along with our guests) had a wonderful experience. Our planning period was around 6-7 months, and the whole process was fairly easy and low-key. I researched other restaurants/venues in Brooklyn, and it was the most affordable/had the best value out of all the options we looked into. We met with Meryl (the Bacchus coordinator) a few times and she was great to work with. We went in for a tasting, and the food was incredible. On the day of, the weather was unexpectedly awful and extremely windy, and Meryl and the Bacchus crew were able to seamlessly adjust the seating last minute. The venue itself is lovely, so we didn't have to do much for decorations and just ordered flowers for the tables. The wine bar section just got renovated literally a day or two before our wedding - and it was beautiful! We highly recommend Bacchus as a wedding venue!!"
"There isn't much to say about this restaurant but WOW. It's dim enough to still be able to see those around you and the piano and saxophone player was a nice touch. Every item recommended by our waitress were excellent choices and the steak and sides were savory with every bite. This place gets 5 stars all around and I have already spread the word on social media for food lovers to check this place out. Well done brass!"
"Made a reservation for a weekend lunch though I honestly didn't need to as the restaurant wasn't full. Then I was just left on my own with no menu or water for about 10 minutes until a kind waiter noticed that I wasn't being helped. Had to wait another 10 minutes just to place my order because only one server was taking orders...Got the prix fixe menu. The bread and butter appetizer was a nice touch. The French onion soup was tasty but I wasn't able to finish it as it was a bit too salty for me. I ordered medium doneness for my steak and it came out more like medium rare but at least there was a nice crust on the outside. The meat was a bit chewy but maybe I'm just not much of a steak person to know the difference. It's a really generous portion though! The shoestring fries were crunchy and plentiful. The last course was dessert which was crème brûlée. I think they should serve this with a small dessert spoon instead of a large spoon which made me think I'd be getting a bigger portion. Advice to skip the coffee/tea, I don't know why I thought it'd be free but I ended up paying $4 for it. I had mentioned it was a celebration and I got a sparkler to hold for a photo opp...I think my expectations were too high for here so I left feeling a bit left down."
"Loved the vegetarian couscous dish. Perfect for an unexpectedly cool, rainy evening in Brooklyn ~ I'd enjoy it in nicer weather too. The base tastes great. Crème brûlée was Très magnifique :) Staff were helpful and spirited. Appreciated the outdoor seating. I'll be back!"
"I loved the assorti of the wonderful dishes on the birthday of my mother yesterday - December 19th -- this is five-stars, but if the name is French, then servants must be too French people, rather than my native Russian folk, however I understand, that it's America . One woman-servant asked which khutab I wanted with cheese or meat, I responded both, and then eventually she walked away somewhere, maybe she got offended at me... I don't know what's to say, service is four stars personally for that one, the rest of them were working normally. Four-starred for the strange name of this organization and its service, and five-starred for the excellent food."
"If you ever read my reviews, you might be aware that I rarely review anyone lower than 3 stars. But I think the service of this place is terrible.Came here for their Halloween decorations. Their decorations for the holidays is top notch! The first time I came I just got my order and that's it. There was no friendliness, no engagement, just nothing from the servers. I dismissed it though. The second time I came with a friend who wanted to see the decorations. This time around there were parties with private areas for themselves. I had asked an employee who was standing behind the hostess stand what areas I could go to-- and she replied with a dismissive attitude : "There is a hostess standing behind you." Like somehow I was supposed to know that the employee standing behind a hostess stand was not a hostess! And even though she was an employee, she somehow couldn't answer my question of what areas we were allow to be in. She could but didn't wanted to. Moreover, I had no clue there was someone standing behind me. Luckily, this person (the hostess) standing behind me was kind enough to direct me where I needed to go.We sat at the bar, got our orders, but again not great service. And again no friendliness, no engagement, just nothing for the servers. This is just a place where you come for the photo ops."
"Been hearing about l'abeille for a while before I actually visited. First thing first, service is outstanding and I love all the little details in the restaurant- the handwritten happy birthday card for my friend, the restaurant logo designed napkin holder, and the marble bar counter, green velvet booth and golden lighting in the background (the list goes on).... There are always lots of new restaurants in the NYC, but this place feels nostalgic - the tentative service, the pleasant and quiet ambiance for a good conversation, and not to say good food as well. We went with the longer menu and enjoyed every single dish - love the Asian/Japanese take on the French dishes."

Great way to celebrate my 40th Birthday! My friends took me here to celebrate on a very rainy Saturday night, but we quickly forgot about that because we had such a wonderful time here. We were immediately greeted and directed where we could leave our umbrellas. We were then taken to our seats-- the host quickly suggested he could give us a different table, which may better suit us. We ordered Rasta Pasta with Chicken, Squid, Plaintains, French Fries, Shrimp and Lobster, which came with Rice and Cabbage, and Prime Beef Tenderloin. We all were pleased with everything. The service was great, the music was great, not too loud where it drowned out your conversation, but perfect to where you could hear it, also. The drinks were great and had enough alcohol, except maybe the Expresso Martini, it still had great taste. They automatically charge 20% gratuity on all tables that are three people and up. I typically don't like this practice because it encourages poor service, but that surely wasn't the case here. I'd recommend this place for a birthday, date, group putting, whichever. I'd definitely return here and would encourage others to do the same thing. Just an FYI-- if you see the photos of Salmon, don't get your hopes up because they no longer offer it.

My spouse and I came for brunch. We both had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The waffles were crispy and delicious. The sunny side up egg was cooked perfectly. I loved the cilantro and chilies. The red cabbage slaw was amazing! I could eat 3x as much, easily. The counter service was reasonably quick and attentive. The atmosphere is just beautiful and serene. Highly recommend this place!

Cute cozy casual spot feeling.Really enjoyed the Truffle Mushroom flatbread, lots of toppings, bread texture was good with crunchy at bottom.Duck Confit was also really good.Steak Au Poivre u fortunaly was medium not medium rare, fries were good.Cocktails were so so, gimmicky and pricy but tasted like unbalanced waterdown juice. We tried 5 of them and pivot back to classics, but the Manhattan also tasted water down.

Wow I'm impressed. This is the best meal we've had in NYC. The peppersteak was so good. The sauce was perfect with Madagascar green peppercorns in the sauce, which most places skip. Nicely cooked and meat was good quality. The onion soup was good too. Soup was tasty, only comment is cheese could be more flavourful, but all still good. Burrata was well done too, fresh pesto was made while we here. Crispy bread... Nice. The berry mocktail was also delicious. Seriously I would eat here often if I lived near here... And the service was outstanding and vibe lovely....

When you know, you know. I was walking over to the theater just a couple blocks from here for a show with no set plan. As I always do, I end up eating at whatever place catches my eye. The outside of this place caught my eye so I walked right in. Opted for a table instead of the bar even though I was alone as I wanted to be comfortable. I was ready to order by the time Diego came back around. I'm a creature of habit when I dine at a French restaurant by ordering steak frites. AlwaysPaired it with their only cider then followed that with the tosé from Provence. Amazing meal. My steak was perfectly cooked. I love the way their fries were cooked. There were a few super crunchy pieces that was a nice surprise. Ended with the yuzu/matcha tart. I kilt that plate. Thanks to Diego for taking such great care of me.

We had a party of 12 and it was nice that we all sat in a long rectangle table. The vibe inside was very cute and dimmed, but lively. We ordered. A bunch of appetizers for the table to share and the giant bottle of wine was a great edition. We ordered escargot, burrata, foiegras, and hot bread with butter. Our favorite was the foie gras and hot bread. The hot fresh bread was crusty and the butter was very rich and good. The foie gras came in a good size patty and the bread with the sweet and rich foie gras was really good. The weird part is that these appetizers don't come with much bread and I thought they would give us more since we have a huge party. Entrees came out afterwards: ribeyes, mussels, cassoulet, hanger steak. the cassoulet with duck confit did not look like the pictures. We felt like our dish was this tiny little drum compared to the pictures we saw. Ribeye was okay but salty. We felt overall that this place was just OK. There's a lot of things that can be improved but maybe brunch is better? There was a lot of outdoor seating in the back too. Not sure if I want to come back to try brunch.

The latest Fabian/Jeremiah restaurant, so you know it's the best possible restaurant you can eat at in a hotel. Definitely start with the Gougeres and you should also get the Gnudi and the Chicken Roulade, and as always, the entire dessert menu. Especially the chocolate cake.

Love this hidden gem right near the Theater District! If you love classic French food, this is the spot for you! The design makes you feel like you are in a real French bistro! The workers are all friendly and make you feel very welcome. It is small, so I would suggest making a reservation!Last night, I had the moulin rouge cocktail, which was like a less tart cosmo. Very tasty and not too sweet! I also had the moules frites, which is my favorite entree here! The broth is full of flavor and the fries are salty and delicious! I love that the fries come with mayo and ketchup. We were a party of 5, and everyone loved their choices! The steak frites are obviously their signature and my dad loved them.I definitely recommend this cozy spot for a less touristy pre/post theater option!

"Where do I begin? I think the experience starts with the voicemail you leave. It calls back to an earlier time (being a Gen X / Millennial cusper as they call it). First off, it's a bespoke, updated and witty message. Be nice and leave one in return. When you get the call back from the number, pick up. Put in your request and cross your fingers. A lot of anticipation before the date. Thinking about who to fill the seats with, who is a foodie, etc. I went with clients and coworkers but I gave it a long pause in terms of who should go. From the second you step in, they take care of you. Not just the actions but also the words and tone. Sincerity. Think: your childhood friend's house where all the kids hung out. The parents there always treated you well when you came and played. Like that. The food has already been described by NYT and those here on Yelp so I don't need go to into those details. We ended the night when Chip / Tina were chatting our party and we didn't want to leave. I stepped out of the restaurant realizing there were still those in party talking to them. I had to go back in to nudge them to leave. I just want to close and say that I just love it when people know what they want to do in life and do no more / no less. Congrats on the success."
"We didn't have a reservation but we had the full menu available in the bar lounge area. Enjoyed every bite and cocktails were lovely !"
"I am extremely passionate about la Cantine thanks to their chicken cutlet sandwiches they are the absolute best. Fresh, thin, crispy. Love the specials menu but hate how fast they run out. Love the quality and ingenuity of the ingredients and recipes. Love the cut of the lettuce. Could the environment be more warm and welcoming? Absolutely. Does it matter? Absolutely not. I'm not coming for friendship, I'm coming for cutlets."
"I was really looking forward to going to Amelie because it had been on my list for a while, but I wasn't impressed. I ordered the Matthieu flight (named for my server) with the orange wines. None of the three were that great. They tasted average/cheap. The flavors lacked complexity. They just didn't hit. I also ordered the escargot. This was my first time trying snails. They were okay. I had looked at photos of the appetizer on Yelp, and from the photos I thought that there would be a lot more sauce for dipping bread into--but there really wasn't extra sauce The dipping bread was good but they didn't give any oil or butter with it. My friend got a glass of red wine, it was a large glass and heavy pour so I'd recommend that over a flight. She also got a salad and asked for grilled salmon and the waiter repeated that back. Yet, the salad came with smoked salmon (lox) and then they said that they couldn't change it. It was also restaurant week but I didn't like the entree options: raviolis, branzino, or an extra $8 for steak? Lackluster. We sat outside which was okay. Nothing special."
"Checked out this French Bistro & Oyster Bar in Bushwick, Brooklyn this evening. It's has a cozy, casual, and warm ambiance with a quaint saloon vibe! I had Escargot and Ratatouille for the first time, and it was delicious Www.mominette.com"
"I absolutely love how it feels to dine at Perry St - dim lighting, comfortable seating, exceptional service, great selection of wines and cocktails. You may occasionally spot a celebrity. :) On my previous visit, however, the food did not impress me as much as it has in the past. Nothing was bad, it just wasn't THAT good. I sure do hope they check that box on my next visit."
"Very cute place with more seating in the back but a bit more intimate in the front. Very shocked at how great the ravioles were, given it was a vegetarian option! The service was great, the drinks were also great, but unfortunately couldn't remember the names. We also got free shots at the end so that's always a nice plus! The cheese board was good for appetizers too."
"Looking for lunch and found this tiny cozy spot. It was sunday and they served brunch. Had a nice oyster special! Turned out to be really nice. The prices were reasonable, but the dishes were small as well. Service was good. The only "down side" to the place would be the tables are small so it doesn't have room for all the plates, cups and utensils. Would come back."
"Cozy place right off of 5 th avenue. Always busy with good energy. Great bar (we dis not eat there). But a bit pricey. Go knowing you will be in a beautiful hotel on 5th avenue near central park... of course its pricey. But a great experience"
"I want to be a regular here. Fresh off my RAF's lunch I came to Lucien. I haven't dined here in decades but like Balthazar it serves food so reliably good in a magical room.Bread is fresh and plentiful & the most expensive red wine by the glass was $16. I felt immediately unrushed and welcome so I ordered a wine. $16 which was very good.Ate:Mesculin salad $11Qual $28The salad was generous and tasty. And my qual was a home run- wow. Cooked in a cherry sauce if was delectable. Old school is the best school."
"I celebrated my 60th Birthday here with my husband and my best friends. It's taken me awhile to write this review because the experience was so much more than just an incredible, over-the-top, meal. From the moment we arrived, every detail of our experience was outstanding and unique - from the beautiful wine glasses to the explosion of flavors and artistry of each serving. Of all the Michelin starred restaurants my husband and I have experienced (12 or so), Per Se has surpassed them all. The 9-course tasting menu includes extra surprises from the kitchen - the dessert is actually like 3 desserts, so it's more like a 12 course menu! One of my friends wasn't comfortable eating caviar (I was too polite to ask if I could eat it for her! Haha) so the chef replaced her course with a different option. Our reservation was later in the evening so we were one of the last diners in the restaurant. Our server invited us to tour the kitchen where we got to see the live, 2-way screen where we could see the kitchen of their sister restaurant, the world famous, French Laundry! There is a wall covered with photos and framed awards. We were each gifted with a tin of shortbread cookies (insanely good!). It was the highlight of my 60th birthday!!"
"Le Veau d'Or in NYC is a rare gem. From the moment you step inside, the entire staff (from the hosts, to the bartenders, to the servers) is incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, ensuring an outstanding dining experience. Zoe, our server, was particularly delightful. The ambience is lively and vibrant yet perfect for conversation, all set in a beautifully designed room that feels quintessentially Paris.Zoe's recommendations were impeccable from start to finish. For appetizers, the pommes soufflées with caviar and escargots--both were delicious and perfectly prepared. For entrées, the Duck Magret was tender and bursting with flavor, and the Homard Macédoine showcased lobster in all its glory. Even the simplest dishes, like the fresh bread with butter and crisp salad with vinaigrette, were remarkable. Desserts--strawberries au sabayon and soupe de melon--were the perfect finish. The dirty martinis, featuring homemade bleu cheese stuffed olives, were excellent.Having dined at numerous French restaurants and bistros in NYC (and elsewhere), I can confidently say LVD is on a different level. I also want to extend my sincerest thanks to the team for their incredibly thoughtful gestures of providing a free round of drinks AND offering to cover my dry cleaning costs after a customer at the next table spilled red wine on me (although I do not intend to take them up on this generous offer). In sum, LVD might be my new favorite restaurant, and I cannot wait to return!"
"We went here to have brunch and Inwas happily pleased! Amerixan with a French Flair- I ended up with warm goat cheese salad-frisée, beets, prosciutto, and hazelnut vinaigrette on the side. They also give you a croissant on the side. it was very good. My friends got scrambled eggs with bacon (took half home) and blueberry buttermilk pancakes-with strawberries, blueberries, blueberry syrup and whipped cream for my college daughter. Everyone qas very pleased. The place is sopretty with its pictures and flowers. There also is an upstairs which is lovely. We decided not to have any dessert here. I would come back as it is a very nice place that is worth trying again"
"Excellent food and experience at Blue Dog!! Service staff are professionals. Food was amazing and loved the complimentary amuse-bouche (delicious and lovely touch).Entry to restaurant feels like a speak easy, hidden gem.It is a very small restaurant (around 50 seats) so definitely recommend a reservation but the size & moody decor adds to the uniqueness.Tables are close together or long shared table in middle.Less than 2 blocks from Gershwin theater so lovely to eat here before or after a show."
"This is my second time here and both times the food was delicious. This time we came a bit earlier and we made it for happy hour. We had the oysters - fresh and briny, mushroom risotto arancini - not much mushroom taste, cheese plate and Boquerones - anchovies were good and briny. For appetizer we had the seared scallop which was delicious. Tender and perfectly seasoned. Tuna crudo and beef tartar was also delicious. For the main we shared the beef strip loin and the Salmon. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse. My daughter loved it but she do say she did not taste the raspberry that was listed on the menu. Service throughout the meal was superb. Overall a great meal and I would definitely be back."
"Charming spot with a Parisian vibe, but the standout dish by far is the ravioles du Dauphiné--pillowy, cheese-filled pasta that melts in your mouth. The Salade d'Endives is also a favorite, with a perfect balance of crisp bitterness, tangy dressing, and a satisfying crunch. Great spot for a relaxed meal with a touch of French flair!"
"The food ambience and service were all perfect. The restaurant really deserves its Michelin star. The menu itself was inspired and reflective of the creators journey, which is a Vietnamese mother with an Italian father training in France, using traditional French techniques with Asian Japanese influence where he furthered his culinary abilities.Every single dishes executed to perfection and the manager was able to accommodate for mocktails .The seasonal nature kept everything fresh"
"{Overall: 4.5; Food: 4.5} Ambiance: 4; Service: 4An iconic, very fun, vibey French bistro in SoHo. Everything we ate was good. The Pate Maison and Frisée really stood out. Amazing cocktails. The ambiance is lively. The restaurant is really popular and brings different crowds together. We saw both business people and fashionistas having cocktails or dinner. Upstairs, on the way to the bathroom, I passed a psychic doing a tarot reading for a young finance guy in a suit."
"HAPPY HOUR ONLY REVIEW:This is a must HAPPY HOUR!!!!!I have been coming to Cathédrale since June for my birthday My partner in Crime are true veterans when it comes to this HAPPY HOUR!!!!!SERVICE: 5/5AMBIANCE: 5/5FOOD: 5/5Everything on the food menu is $5 except the burger The drinks are $8-12....Oysters $2 always order a dozen or 2 lol they are sooo good. The blanc de blanc if you like a bubby is amazing str8 up good. The lemon drop mmmmm gonna make you feel sassy. The expresso Martini baby coffeeeee lovers a must drink. Order 3 dozen oysters after this. The food is all amazing but my FAVORITE is the creme fresh w/ caviar & potato chips. The richness abd the saltiness in both is much chefs kiss. The mushroom toast is ok for me but during the summer the tomato heirloom toast oh my god that was the greatest creation everrrr. The steak tartar i only eat it here and it come with potato chips also (could use more). The lobster rolls are ok! They 2-3 bite size so order 3 if you want to enjoy the feeling of having a lobster roll."
"I find this resto in recommendations from the influencer Hello French. Also, I visit Alan Ducasse chocolate shop in Paris, so I was curious about his bistro in NYC. I went on a Sunday at noon without a reservation. You are given complimentary bread & butter, and I also had cheese profiteroles.I ordered the Straight Outta 55th for my cocktail of choose (really enjoyed it and ordered a second). For food I had a tarte flambée (too cheesy for my taste, but did remind me of the tarte flambée that I had in Alsace), tartare bœuf (and came with a salad), and the profiteroles (it's milk chocolate, but I think it would be better with dark). I really enjoyed all my food.Service was attentive without being overbearing. I received my food in a timely manner and the server waited until I finished my entree before giving me my plat. When my coat dropped to the floor from the back of my chair an employee was quick to pick it up before I could even get out of my chair!I would definitely recommend, and I will be back myself when I'm in NYC."
"This was a lovely restaurant or what I would consider a hidden gem in WeVille. Everything we ordered came out perfectly. We started with the foie gras which was great with the toasty bread sticks and crusty bread that we were served and came with a small side of preserves. I loved the garlicky flavor of the escargot which I wish I had more of. The roasted scallops were neither rubbery nor dry and super meaty. Mussels and frites were delicious and the soup it came in was full of flavor almost like a chowder and we enjoyed dipping our fries in it. It was so good that my brother poured it into a cup and started drinking it. Cheers! The duck was also cooked well and I liked how it was braised. Overall a wonderful experience especially since the staff were so welcoming and the waiters were attentive. The food came out at a good pace and it was not overly crowded but we did make a reservation. There is a slightly open kitchen and we even saw them torching the creme brulee which although not as crackly as I expected had a nice flavor. The apple tart tatine was better in my opinion and served with a caramel sauce a la mode. Nothing was overly sweet. Definitely a good choice for a nice intimate dinner with friends or a romantic date."
"Cute atmosphere, nice servers and host, good food. Was overpriced but that's to be expected from a trendy NYC cafe. Overall great atmosphere!"
"The food was absolutely delicious. The montauk shrimp were light and flavorful. The lobster was perfectly cooked with an excellent broth. The black bass was recommended by our server and did not disappoint- very crispy skin. The pistachio dessert was definitely the highlight amazing flavor. The service was impecable as was the ambiance."
