"Great cafe that serves a tasty Australian-style brunch. Service is very friendly. The wait times can sometimes be long but worthwhile. Outdoor seating is lovely at most times of the year and there is good shade coverage. The scrambled eggs and smoothies are always a solid choice."
"Perfect date night spot!! Hi-Collar is exactly like what I've seen million times in japanese drama. They serve western-influenced dishes (yoshoku) like omurice, hamburg steak and spaghetti. It is a brunch cafe at daytime, and transforms into a charming sake bar at night. We walked in before 6 on a Saturday night and were seated at the bar table. The warm lighting, retro and wooden furnishings really gave Haruki Murakami's novel vibes. *Napolitan Spaghetti $20If you watched the Netflex series "First Love", you should have heard of Napolitan spaghetti. The ingredients are very simple: ketchup, sausage, green pepper, onion and grated cheese. They presented it on a sizzling pan and put an omelette at the bottom. The sauce was sweet and I loved the veggies. Very homey and delicious. *Hayashi Omurice $29Hayashi is a western style beef stew cooked in a demi-glace sauce. It tasted like a blend of red wine and tomato paste. We cut the omelette and revealed the silky scrambled egg. It was served with a good amount of sliced wagyu beef, mushrooms and onions. Totally got the hype of their iconic omurice. Many reviews complained their portion size didn't match their steep price. My bf and I both thought their dishes were decently portioned and filling, given my bf usually eats a lot lol. Their lunch menu is cheaper but maybe the portion is different?"

"Banter is a gem!! After a long week of travel throughout NYC, my family and I brunched here on our last day. We got there at 8ish and it was nice and empty and quiet-- a great change of pace. This was also the best brunch/breakfast we had that trip (and we had a lot of brunch). I recommend the Golden Folded Eggs, they are cooked to fluffy perfection. And DONT SKIP OUT ON THEIR SOURDOUGH TOAST!! It taste so fresh and crusty and moist. LOVE! On top of this, their coffee is to daiiii for! Cappuccino is my go-to order. I wish we had Banters in Los Angeles"
"Competent but disappointing. If you're in the area and are looking for Vietnamese food, try Bahnmigos or Diem Eatery instead."
"One of my favorite cafes in Nolita that has really good simple food and good service. Restaurant is small but super cute. I usually order 2 things here-the spinach goat cheese omelette is one of my favs and the vegetable panini. Both are so good and are a staple for me since I've always gotten the same 2 things off their menu. I've been meaning to try other things, but I enjoy these 2 so much (not together, separate times)."
"If you're looking for good pizza, look no further. Their pizza is outstanding! The ingredients are fresh, the tomato sauce is delicious - not overly sour nor overly sweet, the cheese is excellent, and the crust is very good! The staff are always friendly and polite. Service is fast and regular. You can sit at their small bar near the entrance or opt for table sitting which is provided both inside and outside (covered patio area). The interior is decorated with New York memorabilia and oftentimes you'll hear Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra music playing in the background. It's a very comfortable place to relax and enjoy a great meal. I signed up to be a Rewards Member several visits ago. Excellent food, exemplary service, and competitive pricing makes Grimaldi's a 5 Star dining experience."
"Super busy with long lines if you don't get there earlier than your anticipated time! Very cozy and packed space with amazing food! Came here for brunch with my close friends and we all got something different! We got the açaí bowl, blue bowl, avocado toast, smoked salmon toast and the broccolini farro bowl! All good options!"
"I admittedly do not have my black belt in restaurant etiquette, but being directly asked to leave after 2 hours at the table just felt kind of wrong to me.I was here with 3 coworkers on a Sunday for brunch, and we were in the midst of an all-time gossip/vent session when our waitress came up and said she needed the table. We were just sitting there chopping it up for like 30 minutes after the corpses of our shared Chocolate Chip Pancakes and my Mediterranean Bowl got cleared from the table and I could see the waitress trying to get us out of there with her eyes ahahaha.2 hours is a lot so I do get it, but at the same time I don't get it. Part of what I'm paying for is the time to enjoy sitting there, letting my food settle and talking to whoever I'm eating with, not looking up at the clock to see how much longer I have until I need to leave. I don't know, I'm always open to constructive criticism. I'm not letting it reflect in the rating because I normally don't sit at a place for 2 hours.Outside of asked-to-leave-the-table gate, this place is delightful. A warm and cozy vibe that one could expect in Southwest Michigan, or "Swishigan" as the locals call it. A classic American brunch spot with huge portions and solid pancakes which is honestly harder to come by in NYC than you'd think. Really makes you wonder........My big homie showed up late and teetering that ever-so-fine line of being hungover/still drunk, so the Bloody Mary cured him. He was drinking that thing like it was water ahahaha. He also had a fit on that you would never catch him in at work... Corduroy pants?!?! Okay we see you big homie...Also, I just need to mention I'm blessed to have 3 coworkers who I like enough to see outside of working hours. GOD DID!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__"
"I love eating here! Food is always so good, from Bfast to a nice yummy salad and many more delicious dishes. Everything is always fresh and the staff is always nice and attentive."
"This small Korean restaurant/cafe offers some incredibly delicious tofu skin filled with rice and topped various topping ranging from crab meat, torched salmon, and bulgogi. I've tried a variety of tofu skin but this location in the East Village is an absolute must-try spot. They offer box sets which I highly recommend so you can try an array of flavors paired with a Korean beverage. I personally like the green grape soda paired with my box of 8 order. My personal top 3 favorites are Crab Meat, Bulgogi, and Torched Salmon. This small spot is beautifully decorated and organized showcasing a variety of drinks and mock sample of the tofu skin box sets. The cashier was attentive and thoroughly explained how each one is made (also you cannot substitute or alternate any item). There are available outdoor seatings so you can enjoy at the spot or take to-go. Overall an ideal spot to try one tofu skin as a small treat or an assortment to have a mini feast with friends or enjoy by yourself. Plus they give you Chupa Chups lollipops as a dessert which I presume to be mostly strawberry flavor"
"Malaparte has a strong reputation in the area so figured to give it a go. The place is small and tables are tight but that is nyc. We started with the beet salad and tuna salad app. Both were delicious. The rigatoni pesto and paparedelle bolognese were lovely. Could have been a little more al dente but all good. The pork chop special was a play on milanese style but the pork chop bad a parmesan topping. It was good as well. There were only two desserts that didn't jump out to us so didn't go for it. Wine selection was good too. I would recommend and come back. 4 stars."
"Had a great dinner at Kubeh last night with some friends! I've walked past this place a million times and always thought it was a fast casual place based on how the outside entrance looks, but was surprised to find how deep the restaurant is and how upscale the food is. We were seated immediately for our reservation and our server was very attentive. We got all three dips to share, and numerous mezze and small plates and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. I particularly loved the Fattoush salad and the Mediterranean shrimp. All the ingredients of everything tasted fresh and homemade. Only slight issue was how loud the restaurant is. I think the high ceilings make for challenging acoustics. Highly recommend!"

Was in NY for a week on a business trip and found this place. I'm glad I did.It was delicious! The Brekkie Roll was my favorite of the 2 dishes because I'm a sucker for a brioche bun but overall it was just a great experience. Staff was friendly and all had Australian accents which was a nice switch up.It is a hole in the wall so not a ton of seating inside and it was cold the week I visited but it looks like they have a decent amount of seating outside when it warms up. It's a very modern, minimalistic, restaurant with potted plants to warm up the ambiance. But the people make it what it is.Grateful to have found it and excited to revisit in the future. Thanks Hole in the Wall for enhancing my first NY Experience

Ambiance was 10/10! I loved the homey decorations and the beautiful skylight in the middle of the room. I went here for a galentines and it was wonderful. The food itself was very good: I liked the spaghetti the best, I thought the omelette could be more flavorful. The cake was sooo beautiful and I loved all the details on it. It wasn't too sweet and it was a nice treat to end the meal. I loveddd the teas and the cups it came with. Such unique flavors; sweet Berry had a hint of caramel which I loved. We were given an hour time limit which made us rush a bit so I wish the time limit could be extended. I also wish we were given utensils for each dish so we wouldn't have to use our own to scoop. I also wish our plates were bigger! Was a bit of a mess to mix all the food together.

The best sweet potato fries are here!!! I'm in love. I already have a spot for best french fries but Banter takes the crown for the sweet potato ones. The beautiful scrambled eggs are as delicious as they look. The huge bowl I ordered was breakfast and lunch all in for me -- very filling. Watermelon juice hits the spot.Everything is A+ including the service.I guess the wait can be annoying but worth it.

Good Thanks is a hidden gem within the NYC brunch scene, and the gatekeeper inside of me almost wants to abstain from writing a glowing review for the sake of keeping crowds away. They offer an extensive menu with fun twists on breakfast classics, and every dish we ordered was great! Me and my friend ordered: Banana Bread: 3/5- Good banana bread, but nothing crazy. You could easily find something similar elsewhere, so I would skip this and take full advantage of the rest of their unique menu. Chickpea Curry Scramble: 5/5- This is probably one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had. The chickpea curry was incredibly flavorful and fresh, and paired so well with the swirled eggs and toast. I can't wait to have this again. Eggs and Labne: 5/5- Aside from the chickpea curry scramble, this is another must-try dish. The labneh was SO good and paired surprisingly well with the eggs and grilled sourdough! I'll be dreaming about it forever. Good Thanks offers one of the best, most unique brunches in the city, and I can't recommend it enough!

So I was very unprepared and planned on dining at Breakfast by Salt's Cure, not realizing that the wait would be an hour with the line stretching down the block. My buddy suggested to meet up here at The Grey Dog for brunch instead with our significant other, which thankfully they had seating available immediately when we arrived. Certainly made up for waiting in line for food.I started off with a Chai Latte ($6.25) which they made with oat milk. Didn't expect them to do some coffee artwork with their signature logo on the top. Tasty as expected.Foodwise, I wanted to get something unique, so their Chorizo Hash ($17.50) appealed to me. This consisted of shredded potato sautéed with chorizo, pepper, onion, tomato sauce & a fried egg served with toast & greens. Tasted and felt much healthier than a corned beef hash, which is what I usually would get. Not to mention, it was filling enough.

"Great neighborhood restaurant with very large portion sizes. I had the chicken cacciatore. It was amazing. Saw a few other platters of different dishes pass by ... and I will be going back to try."
"This is why I love my city!!!!! I have not been to Uncle Paul's Pizza for 35 years .... Yes I said 35 years. But I went there today and they didn't disappoint. It was AMAZING!!!! don't sleep on one of the best pizzerias in the city."
"My friend and her husband recommended Hole in the Wall for brunch and I thought it was pretty decent. Restaurant has a rustic and modern vibe with friendly staff.I got the hot latte and power bowl. The latte was one of the better ones I've had in NYC. It's so smooth, rich, and creamy. The power bowl had quinoa as the base mixed in with different veggies. It was quite flavorful on its own even without added proteins.Highly recommend making a reservation in advance bc the restaurant was packed right before noon time!"
"favorite lunch place ever. The poached egg salad is my perfect meal. Such good ingredients, cutest interior, and great staff."
"Spending time in Industry City today and decided to eat outside of IC food hall. I've passed Slimsk numerous times on s bus and bookmarked it. I was in the mood for comfort food on a rainy day and planned to visit IC to do some shopping.Slimak*is on off the beaten path, next to the beautiful Saint Nicholas Church which I can imagine it being busy on a Sunday morning. When I entered, it was quiet with a few patrons dining and tapping away on their laptops. There is instructions to step up to the counter, order and then find a seat.I knew what I wanted: egg white omelet with cheddar and spinach, salad instead of toast and home fries and a cup of coffee. I served myself complimentary water from the jug and found a table. Once seated, I sipped my water and made an IC shopping list .My order arrived within ten minutes, just the omelet. The waitress apologized that their coffee machine was broken and asked if an Americano was okay to make instead. Absolutely! My omelet looked delicious but the only thing missing was the home fries. I guess the way I ordered was lost in translation ( at first they asked me to repeat it since they thought I said waffles vs no toast).Healthy Fawn voice said " it's better without home fries " and won over cheating Fawn voice ( tell them the home fries are missing!). The salad had zucchini ( yum), tomatoes, carrots and lettuce with a side of delicious balsamic vinegar. The omelet was absolutely scrumptious and fresh.Slimak offers numerous options: breakfast all day, soups, salads and desserts. The service is very friendly and accommodating.I have a new place to dine at when visiting IC and am happy I discovered this gem.* Aah you noticed. Slimak is Polish for small snail.Interesting..."
"Best breakfast sandwich ever. Get the multigrain with sausage, egg, and red pepper jam. They add tomato and arugula. It was so good we went back the next morning for the same sandwich. I'm still craving it.Service was friendly and fast. Ingredients are high quality. We were really happy we found this place."
"Wow To my surprise a very good Italian spot with great ambiance and excellent food. Bread is also exceptional our server was very nice and informative IWill def come back ... actually we came back forLunch 3 days later and it was as good as the first time we came"
"One of the best aussie-style brunch spots I've ever been to! Hole in the wall is so good, it's a perfect spot to begin your day! My friend and I came here were immediately seated and got our food and drinks super fast. We started with the Nutella and regular mochas both really delicious. The food here is not to be slept on though. The breakfast burrito here is my all time favorite, especially when you add avocado. The burrito had eggs, avo, hashbrowns and a side of spicy salsa it was perfection. It also came with perfectly done fries (truly some of the best fries we ever had). We also ordered the kimchi scramble which was also so delicious and paired with a sweet gochujang sauce. I would come here again anytime, brunch here is some of the best!"
"ACRE sits among the great businesses in Greenpoint's Little Japan neighborhood, appealing to those looking for home decor or a meal. When you step in you'll find yourself in their retail store, with shelves of ceramic bowls, plates, wooden utensils, kind of like a fancier Muji. They also have bottles of sake and some kitchen supplies like sauces for sale.Make your way to the back for their restaurant, and you'll see a generous amount of seating, probably enough for like 40 people or so. There's even a backyard with tables and chairs, a dining area that looks just as large as the one inside, though it was too cold for me to hang out back there. Inside, it's reminiscent of a nice cafeteria, and there's no table service, so I found the $25+ price tag for the lunch sets a bit high. The karaage set came with purple rice and a salad and was pretty tasty, as was the hojicha latte I got to wash it all down with.As charming as the place was, I don't think I'm running back. The portions were too small, but that might be my American appetite talking."
"No reservations! Only walk in! This place is so cute and the food is delicious. This cafe serves really wholesome breakfast dishes like eggs and a literal half of an avocado. The drinks here are also so yummy! Service is awesome, food is good, and this location is near a ton of great spots including the high line so you can walk the brunch off after!"
"Needed some caffeine, and found this spot on Church Ave, I did want to say usually when you step into a coffee shop, the aroma of fresh brew uplifts your senses. However, here I didn't get the exact vibes. I ordered a large Hot Brew with a shot of French Vanilla, and the Barista was alright and left some room for cream n sugar.I was looking over their pastries as I see they had an open bakery toward the back, however they didn't looked appetizing as it appeared really dry. I just want to say if your going to charge $5+ for a cup of coffee put some kick into your beans at least guys, I would say it's time to level up your coffee bean game."
"I was eating damn near an onigiri a day on my Japan trip, and my soul needed to find a good comp in ny. Tokuyamatcha & Onigirazu Bar fulfilled and surpassed all my cravings. It's a hole in the wall in the east village that only slangs 2 things: Matcha and Onigirazu.I'm really not a matcha guy if we are keeping it a buck, so I was just here for the onigirazu, which is essentially just a flattened onigiri. They pride themselves on freshly made sandwiches with quality ingredients, and it shows. These were delicious. I got two sandwiches cuz I'm a tank, and they were the karaage chicken with mayo and the beef & ginger with chili oil. Beef and Ginger ended up being my favorite as the meat was so tender (pause) and the chili oil packed a nice punch. This is my new go to spot for a quick bite.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__"
"We went to Hole in the Wall in Williamsburg for a girls brunch (only 3 of us) on a Monday and unfortunately our experience was not as great as we expected based on the reviews (on google...). Should have told my friends to look at the Yelp reviews instead lol. Food: "A" for presentation. "C-" for taste. First, my hot matcha was served in a glass cup and not mug. The heat of the matcha was seeping through the glass not allowing me to enjoy my drink. We ordered the Big Cheezy, the OG burger and the pulled pork Benedict . The Big Cheezy was tasteless, and dry. The cheese was not even melted, it was just stacked on top of the burger and was totally not what I expected. The OG burger was also tasteless and dry, a little better than the big Cheezy but it's probably because of the bacon that they add (everyone who eats bacon knows that can totally hook any plate up lol). The pulled pork Benedict was just ok. Even though the main course was not great...the fries..are off the hook. They were crispy, the taste fresh and the perfect amount of seasoning. As previously stated, the matcha was served hot in a glass cup (fail) and to be even more honest, I'm not sure if it was ceremonial grade because it definitely did not taste like it. The ambiance was cool, chill and inclusive. Seems like people go there for casual brunch. The service was a little less than ok. But not terrible. They took a bit long to come and take our order. I will not be coming back to this restaurant because I was left unsatisfied with the food and the service. I do not recommend it....unless of course, you are going for the fries that were delicious...and maybe the drinks (avoid the matcha...)."
"Large variety on the menu. The food is served fast, and fresh. The staff has always been friendly, and accommodating."
"Was early for a meeting nearby when this cute cafe caught my eye with its cheery yellow exterior. You have to be patient to order because only one customer is allowed inside at a time. The owner is very sweet and friendly ; she is the only one taking orders and packing up your order. Credit card are accept with $10 minimum. I tried the Spicy Tuna Poke - which was featured on the menu written out on post its. It's healthy comfort food - spicy tuna poke, avocado chunks, arugula over a bed of rice seasoned with fresh ginger and pickled daikon - but simple and delicious. It reminded me of the snack / light lunch that I used to have in Hawaii. I really appreciated how thoughtfully composed the rice was for taste and textures and was not just a plain blob of filler rice. What a find! And a pleasant surprise to find a little bit of Hawaii here in Greenpoint."
"Genuinely not bad at all for a Times Square eat. I feel like the food near Times Square is always overpriced and not great but Dim Sum Sam was actually quite good. We got here for a weekday dinner and we were able to get a table quickly after placing our order.I ordered the Roast Duck Noodle Soup and it was quite good. I liked the rich broth paired with the Hong Kong style noodles. The duck also had the subtle sweetness to it although some parts were not super tender. I didn't care much for the vegetables in the dish. It was a solid noodle soup.Overall, not a bad eat at all especially if you're in the area. Something I thought was weird was that they placed a NYC sales tax on all the food which I feel like I haven't seen elsewhere. It seemed to be the same type of tax that you would get for buying clothes."
"Unique flavor and delicious cocktails. The Pulsd deal was amazing and introduced us to Cena near prospect park. They also have a location in Williamsburg. Not your traditional Mexican food with great vibes and delicious drinks. We started with shrimp ceviche which I would skip next time. The chips were too hard. The entrees were delicious and unique which I haven't seen anywhere. Who would have thought beet sauce to be so refreshing on an entree ? Drinks are amazing. Service was quick and the waitress were attentive."
"Wanted to do a little shopping and people watching in SoHo so we were walking the streets and spotted this gem. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant! It was brunch on a Saturday and we were promptly seated by a friendly hostess. Sitting across from the bar in the back of the restaurant. It was clean, beautifully decorated and had a great ambiance with candles all around. The food was amazing. Short Rib Fried Rice is a signature dish with Slow Roasted Short Rib, on top of Jasmine Rice with some amazing fresh herbs and spices. This was unique and special. The Odd Sister Burger was really good too. An 8oz beef patty with sharp cheddar, lettuce and tomato and served with crispy hot French fries. Bloody Mary's were special with the perfect amount of horseradish. Our server was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very patient while we waited for my son to show up. I highly recommend this place, you won't be sorry. It's a great social experience where sophistication meets SoHo chic and yes... everyone guaranteed a good meal and a good time!"
"I am extremely passionate about la Cantine thanks to their chicken cutlet sandwiches they are the absolute best. Fresh, thin, crispy. Love the specials menu but hate how fast they run out. Love the quality and ingenuity of the ingredients and recipes. Love the cut of the lettuce. Could the environment be more warm and welcoming? Absolutely. Does it matter? Absolutely not. I'm not coming for friendship, I'm coming for cutlets."
"Damn good banh mi! Great cozy cafe with unreal banh mis. Cant wait to come back and try more, we got the classic and its a cant miss.Great service with a friendly staff. Take a walk or ride down and have a great banh mi."
"Came here on a Saturday afternoon to meet up with a friend. Looks like a coffee shop hidden in a Brooklyn neighborhood, but once you step inside, you'll find it's more than that. There's a swing behind a very Instagrammable backdrop. At the counter, you'll find their offerings of "Sammiches" and sliders and they are great.I got to try a variety of items. We both split two different "sammiches". The Signature Sammich ($10) was created by the owner as an item she grew up eating, which has a nice slice of Spam along with egg, corn, lettuce, and cheese. What they're known for is the Hotpot Sammich ($10), which they took the beef slices you usually boil in a hotpot and made it a sandwich with egg, onion, tomato, lettuce, and cheese. Delicious. Loved the toasted bread that they use, which enhances the taste. If you're not feeling the sandwich concept, they also make sliders, which are essentially mini versions of the sammiches.I also got a Frapp'eo, which is essentially an Oreo Frappuccino. If you love Oreo and Frappuccinos, then this is the drink for you on a nice hot day."
"Charming little sandwich shop in Brooklyn! The menu holds a great selection of sandwiches and more. You're guaranteed to find something to your liking. They were so sweet to me as I was deciding what to try. They let me sample a piece of their grilled chicken and the broccoli rabe - while giving me some recommendations from the menu. The grilled chicken was well season and cooked perfectly. The Broccoli rabe was pretty good. I ended up getting a chicken parm hero for my son and a chicken club on a roll for myself. I placed my order to go. My son and I enjoyed the sandwiches at home. The chicken cutlets were so fresh, with the perfect crispiness. I really enjoyed the garlic aioli and the sauce ithe chicken parm was pretty good too! The sandwiches were made to order and it didn't take long for them to be made. It gave me enough time to take a walk around the store and explore the store. I decided to try a peach juice that I saw in their refrigerator. It was a semi sweet, light juice consistency - I placed it in a glass with ice and hit the spot."
"Cheap eat spot in Manhattan! Their cupbop ranges from $8.99 to $10.99, or $11.99 if you want to make it half and half. Students can enjoy extra 10% off. Although the rice bowl portion size is relatively small than a regular korean rice bowl, it's totally enough for me and my friend. They load up our bowls with meat, kimchi and salad so it is more filling than we thought. The fried dishes are also made to order. I can see myself coming back for affordable meals. *Bulgogi & Pork Katsu Cupbop*Spicy Pork & Popcorn Chicken Cupbop**We agreed their sweet and spicy sauce is really good, meaning you can't go wrong with their spicy food. The rice is seasoned with seaweed, mayo, and we can taste a hint of yuzu flavor from the salad dressing. Spicy pork and popcorn chicken are our favorite protein toppings. *Regular Chicken Mandu*Sweet and Spicy Chicken Mandu**WOW the deep fried mandu is so delicious! The regular one comes with a sweet soy sauce to dip into, while the sweet and spicy one is coated with a shiny glazed sauce, giving it a richer flavor profile. Each mandu is stuffed with chicken so it's very filling."
