"The best part about Tabare is definitely the vibe-- so warm and welcoming. They don't rush you at all (we took FOREVER to order, and they were super accommodating). We ate for a long time, sat for a long time, and there was truly no rush. It was giving Europe with how generous they were with time. Food wise, my favorite thing I ate was the beef empanada. Super fresh and flavorful; give me 10 more. I was also a fan of the brussels salad, which was both savory and sweet. Where I went wrong was definitely the ravioli-- while it wasn't bad, I just don't think ravioli is where their strong suit is. The plate was lackluster compared to the burgers my friends got, and the flavor was a bit bland. I'd definitely recommend going with a meat dish (as the menu says they're known for), and absolutely that beef empanada!"
"Cebu Bar & Bistro is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. We stumbled upon this place Christmas Eve Weekend after trying to go to both Kettle Black & Ho Brah for dinner and both being closed for private holiday parties. Boy, were we happy to find that Cebu was open. Even though the back room was occupied for a private party, the rest of the establishment was open for regular dinner service. Cebu is accessible via public transportation, including the R tain to 86 Street Train , as well as the B37 & B16 & B63 buses. There are various stores, eateries & hangout spots around this neighborhood, and Cebu is near a few places, including Chadwicks, which is a nice Steak House. When we eventually crossed the street and went into Cebu, we were glad to be greeted by the lovely hostess and to find seats at the bar area. Menus were provided to us, and I observed a nice-sized crowd of patrons enjoying their dining experience while eating fabulous llooking dishes. Cebu has a chic ambiance and lively atmosphere. Cool lighting and pictures are all throughout Cebu, including in the bathroom. Great music played in the background - Dua Lupa, Rihanna, etc. We ordered the "Modern Love" cocktail - Empress 1908 Gin, Elderflower & Lavender, and the "Spiked Lemonade" cocktail - Deep Eddy, Sweet Tea Vidka, Lemonade & Mint. Both of the cocktails were delightfully refreshing. Cebu gives complimentary bread, which was served warm and tasted fresh. Our Steak Skewers Appetizer as well the Entrees- Rigatoni w/ Sausage and Slamon w/ Asparagus - were good. Shout-Out to Doug, Richard, Brian, Natalie & especially to Fernando as they all were so kind to us. Cebu Staff provided wonderful customer service, and we look forward to returning to try other dishes. "Emmy squared pizza hits all the time. This time, I went with some friends after a night out. We tried a few pies, fries, and drinks, all of which were amazing."
"Really wanting a burger but lower carbs we came here on a weekday. It wasn't busy but we had just made happy hour. It being a bar there was no problem finding a seat and seeing a game (if that's your style). The tap selections were good and my burger was chargrilled to perfection. Everyone in my party can vouch for a delicious meal."
"AMAZING FOOD!! it's amazing how you can watch them make your delicious food on the grill. They make everything from scratch and fresh!! Which makes everything better. The service is great they're very attentive and patient. It's a nice old vibe in there such as back in the days. Your good ol local burger spot. The burgers were great, my grilled sandwich was superb I've never had it like this before! The wings were superb super spicy and tasteful"
"I've got nothing but positive vibes for this joint! We've eaten inside and had delivery and I can promise you, they food is always great and consistent. Staff is friendly and chill!I get the Juicy Lucy (my fav) and their fries....oh their fries! You can add blue cheese "dressing" that is to DIE for!!!! Ask for extra ketchup if you do delivery! The food is legit and they do offer up some tasty beer/cider too!"
"Incredible wings deff get those if you canBurger is standard but marketed as NY best Generally no line but food took 30+ minutes to come out even though we were one of three parties thefe"
"Service AND food was a 10/10! I got the medium brisket sandwich on a club hero roll. It comes with pickles and mayo/mustard. Remember to ask for a side of gravy ! Since I had a hard time deciding , the cashier offered me a sample of the pastrami. I couldn't finish the sandwich and when I asked for a to-go container she took it in the back and had the chef wrap it for me! About $17 for the medium sandwich and you can get bigger or smaller. I arrived about 45 min before closing and they weren't sold out of stuff and I didn't feel rushed! The macaroni salad looked yummy but I'll try it next time. Can't wait to be back!"
"A hearty brunch with hip hop and a casual vibe. The two dishes we ordered were filling and delicious with their unique flavors. Boss lady bomb - Tater Tots, Scrambled Eggs, Avocado Mash, Coconut Curry (his preferred choice)Jerk chicken hash - tasty! My preferred choice. We had a few glasses of Prosecco. There is a bottomless bubbles, etc option for those looking for a boozy brunch."
"We contacted Frank about a private birthday party. He was so friendly and accommodating. He gave us the second floor bar which was perfect for our gathering. Warm and intimate without being too small. And there were tables available in case anyone wanted to eat there. Our bartender, Keira, was friendly, fun and efficient. The food was great, came quickly and tasted delicious. I am so happy to have found McGee's and look forward to the next time we're there. The bar was perfect. Thank you all!"
"I cannot comment on the drinks. I cannot really comment on the ambiance. What I can comment on is the service and our meal that afternoon and the service. Their chili stuffed potato skin was filling, comforting, and so good! It's a meal in itself, but it served as our appetizer. I don't see it on the menu anymore. I ordered their Harp Beer Battered Fish and Chips while he ordered the Guiness Grilled Rib Steak. Their fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The fish wasn't greasy. They were huge pieces of fish fried perfectly. It paired so well w/ the coleslaw and the tanginess from the tartar sauce. The leftovers did create a bit of grease, but it was to be expected. I still enjoyed it that night! I was thirsty and must have had 4 Diet Coke refills. Our server was quick and checked on us a few times. I really appreciate the fact that I did not have to ask for a refill of my soda. I wasn't so sure about the steak, but he finished it and said it was good. Mmmm, I'm thinking about the fish and chips and potato skins right now!"
"I ordered for delivery so I cannot speak to the in person experience but the falafel burger I ordered was very good. The fries were a different flavor profile for me because they had olives and feta cheese on them but they were tasty. I'd order again or venture in person for the experience."

I attended a baby shower here, and boy, was I blown away. The private room for events was so nice with a moody (darker) vibe, natural light pouring in from the glass windows, and greenery. It was very spacious and had bathrooms within the room, and most of the workers were very friendly. The food was never ending, I think it was like four courses, which is just what they offer for events. First was three different appetizers per each table (or more like group of tables). The lollipop chicken wings, meatballs, and calamari were all delish. But the meatballs ranked last. Next came a small salad, which was the right amount. I don't know what it contained but it was a pretty good simple salad. Then came the penne alla vodka, which was not the best I've had but also not the worst. I wouldn't come here to satisfy that craving but it was acceptable. My entree was a French toast, which was ok. This meal took four hours! But I guess it's because guests didn't all come at the start time and we played games in between. I would consider holding an event here.

The food here is delicious. I've ordered from this place on three different occasions and have not been disappointed yet. Definitely one of the best burger spots in the downtown Bklyn area... Pop by if you are in the area. !

Was in the neighborhood and wanted to see who had the best burgers. Bonnie's pop up as on of the good ones in the area, so the family and I stopped in for a bite. It was very chill atmosphere the waitress was nice and sat us right away. Very chill vibe. Love a good diner vibe. The menu was short and to the point. In order the western burger and some wings. The burger was huge but it was really delicious, I was surprised I finished it all. I thought the wings were ok. I'm a wing fanatic so when I saw previous review hyping the wings in was sold. Flavor on the wings were good. Just wish they were fried a little bit more. But my experience here was great!

Ordered 2 Sandwiches one Pastrami on rye with mustard and the other corn beef on rye with mustard. Both sandwiches were great. The Pastrami was so amazing and it melted in your mouth. Highly recommend this place for a great sandwich in Brooklyn.

"People who know me know that I appreciate/LOVE a good deal!! This burger spot has GREAT burger combos near the Atlantic Barclay train station ESPECIALLY IN THIS TIME OF INFLATION! Burger and side combos range from $17 to $21. The sides are great and offer variety from tater tots, sweet potato fries, onion rings, Nathan's corn dog nuggets , side salad, five mac and cheese balls, and even spinach. The premium sides that come at an additional surcharge are things like truffle parm loaded fries. It's cool because for the side, u can even ask them to season it with old bay or Cajun seasoning for free. Loved the vibe. It's a GREAT DATE PLACE. BEERS are good. Service is great. The only weird thing was my dates beef patty was a lot smaller than mine and was about 1/3 smaller than the bun. Maybe it's because of the fresh ingredients but just a general food quality comment. Meal was tasty regardless as my date scarfed it down. we both enjoyed our experience. All in all, I would come again. There aren't alot of mom and pop shops that offer burger and side for around $20!!!I REC!!!"
"The burgers here are FANTASTIC!! Please get the masala fries and you really can't go wrong with any burger order. I'm not kidding when I say I was craving burgers for days on end after this visit. Met the owner briefly here as well and he says the Brooklyn spot is the best ;)Please stop by this cozy store and grab a burger bite in the neighborhood - you won't be sorry! thnx for reading"
"I went on a Monday 1/22/24 by myself while I was waiting for Apple to fix my phone... I went just to have a drink while I was waiting and I ending having 4. They were so good and the way the restaurant is designed is mad cute. I felt like I was underwater or on the beach. Highly recommended. Azarias was the one taking care of me and he was awesome!!!"
"Seriously haven't been here in twenty years! My first encounter was my then boss took me to this place and bragged about the tomato soup.. she compared the soup to " tomatoes in vodka sauce". Was she right? Yep.As I continue to eat my through SoHo via my lunch break , I'm finding new gems and revisiting some old ones.So let's start with ..it's a Friday afternoon and I see outdoor tables with heaters. There is a stand that you wait near to be seated. The guy was very nice when I originally stated I can sit outdoors with a heater. He stated I think I have a table opening up inside. Two minutes later he escorts me to a cozy table near a window. First smile on my face..The place is packed from bar to dining room. The friendly waiter served me water and I ordered quickly. I wanted the tomato soup for sure and was going to pair it with a side salad but the chicken fingers stared at me in the menu ( this was going to be a cheat thus lunch/dinner combo). As I waited for my food, I did read the reviews about pricing and there are some disconnects like $18 for half a tuna melt or $20 for a full sandwich. Huh? My tomato soup was $9 for a cup $11 for a bowl. Etc. So , yes, there are some disconnects. As far as service, my waiter was terrific. Place was packed and he followed up with me to see that my soup was served and gave me a big smile "Enjoy". First sip, yep, tomato soup in vodka sauce and shredded cheese on the side. He then checked to see if my chicken arrived. Another big smile. He handled the bustle effortlessly. A pub is a pub..I have to say every pub I've visited from Spain to London to Chicago is bustling, the prices range from low to high ( if you're lucky to catch a happy hour). The food is what it is: mozzarella sticks, Croque Monsieur to burgers. After twenty years, the tomato soup dazzled me the same from my first taste. Will I come back, yes, because I can eat their tomato soup everyday. There are menu pricing disconnects for sure but it's up to the diner what she wants..."
"Drinks were immediate, food was immediate, it was all delicious. I am so happy to have found this place. It is the Christmas season so I expected delays and long waits, but this was outstanding. The mini crab cakes were terrific and soft, full of flavor. The onion soup was top notch.Servers were great. I loved the music. Bathrooms were 3 single stalled rooms, and clean. Love this place."
"Server was friendly and helpful. Nice beer selection as well as spiked shakes and cocktails. Burgers were terrific as were the waffle fries."
"Great random hole in the wall. The classic single was not enough meat, next time I'd try the double or the holy. The fried chicken sandwich was two tenders in a sandwich, not an actual patty but it was peppery and tasty. The fries were great (free with Yelp check in!) with a crunchy coating kind of like Burger King. Really nice and crisp. Nice quick eat for the area."
"The food was so good - it's been 5 days and I'm still thinking about it. Definitely will be back. The place is small and cute. Very cozy vibes especially with the staff. Everyone is very friendly. The location could've been better but it is what it is. I'll be back regardless."
"I rarely stray away from simple pizzas. I normally just get cheese or pepperoni, as the opportunity cost of trying a new pizza and not liking it is just so damn great. Some of y'all do SO much with your pizza smh. There are few things better than bread, cheese, red sauce, and some pepperoni done well. Simple, yet effective. Oddly similar to my mid range jump shot...All this to say, my girlfriend really wanted the Colony pizza from Emmy Squared, as she is far more adventurous with her pizza. I realize this only adds honey and jalapenos to a pepperoni pizza ahahaaha but still, I was nervous. Plus she was buying so what was I really gonna say lol.Upon opening the box, I was hopeful. It still looked delicious. I mean it literally just adds jalapenos to what I normally get so...... I know I'm nuts, but I can only be me.After ripping into my first bite, I got a mouth full of jalapeno so that threw me off a bit, but I composed myself and kept forging on. I ended up eating 3 slices, and was gonna go for 4 but didn't want to be a little piggy wiggly because I'm tryna be rockstar skinny. I prob shouldn't be eating pizza when I'm tryna be rockstar skinny, but here we are.I did end up eating around the jalapenos if we are being honest, but that honey did add so much to my normal pepperoni pizza. It inspired me to start adding hot honey to my pepperoni pizzas. I know I'm behind the 8 ball on that but whatever. It is what it is.Thank you, Emmy Squared, for taking me on this journey.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov_reviews"
"Came for a quick bite and drink. Lots of games were played, the place was decently quiet until certain games were on and the crowd grew louder and larger. Service was great! Waitress was friendly and informative on alcoholic beverages and food choices. Definitely returning again!"
"This review is specific to brunch at Kittery. Kittery is my favorite brunch spot in the neighborhood! I don't understand why it's not packed and impossible to walk into since it really is the perfect spot: warm and attentive service, excellent food, and $1 oysters, clams and shrimp happy hour raw bar specials even on weekends for brunch! (Vs. another old time favorite I used to go to as my regular that charges $3.50 an oyster during brunch). They have a large, comfortable outdoor area which is partially covered and now that it's getting cold, they've enclosed it so you can still eat there or inside. I've sat in both areas and both are great. Inside is nicely renovated, tasteful decor. My boozy brunch order includes 2 Aperol Spritzes, classic eggs Benedict which comes with 2 sides so I get fries (Kittery fries or regular) and salad but of course I also start with 3 oysters from the raw bar! Voila! What more can you want in a brunch?"
"Had a great experience here last night. The wings here were superb, I personally enjoy them well done and they did a fantastic job delivering on the request. Would definitely recommend the wings, the espresso martini ok also."
"I am happy to say that this place is still around and just realized it's been 10 years to the day today that I'm writing another review for them! (Yikes a long time for me, but so awesome that they've been around for so long!).I came here late night tonight on a dessert search after another place canceled my order after I arrived... My House to the rescue and, even better, they had a dessert my husband loves and we don't often get - a homemade magnolia banana cream pudding with nilla wafers and bananas! So delicious and I was also blessed to try the Dubai chocolate that they also have specially made for them :)The place has grown in the last 10 years and they have both an outdoor area as well as a back area for drinks and hookah. This evening they had a lovely firelogs background playing on the 2 TVs and it was a nice and cozy space for a date night or a chill spot with friends. The interior is clean and was nicely decorated for the holidays and the girls behind the counter were super sweet! I got a chance to see the owner again, whom I met way back when and it was so lovely speaking with him! My husband and I really enjoyed meeting him and seeing how much he cares. He really stands behind his products and today seeing him again, nothing has changed and I see why they're still going strong. I will definitely be back and recommendy House Burgers and Shakes! :)"
"We visited NYC a couple days after New Years and were looking around Times Square for a place to eat dinner; we found The Independent on Yelp. We were immediately seated at a hightop table. The hostess, Zanna ('like Donna with a Z') was very kind and accommodating to our 6 year old daughter, printing out coloring pages of her requested characters and providing a large box of crayons as well. Thank you!We ended up doing a bunch of small plates for a tapas style meal. This worked well for us, though we barely made it by with a child because I don't feel like most of the offerings are kid-friendly, even with our fairly adventurous eater. Too spicy, complex flavors, etc...might be good for adults but hard to feed kids like this. STILL, she was happy with the crayons and we made it work.Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Restaurant was clean, as well as the bathrooms (one on the same floor, but others down the stairs). I would eat here again and would recommend to others, especially if eating only with other adults."
"I am SO thrilled that Henry Public is such a close-by option for me, as it's one of my favorite places in Brooklyn for delicious food & drinks! I am literally obsessed with the grilled cheese, and it comes with the best fries. We also love the deviled eggs, the pickles, the donuts at brunch, the cheeseburger, and literally everything else that we've ever tried. And the drinks are amazing & strong. Service is always spot-on, and the candlelit atmosphere inside is so cozy. It's also a great option for take-out! The prices are super reasonable for what you get."
""I thought I saw you at the bus stop, I didn't though"....maybe inspired by this place? Who knows...but my sister had to get breakfast here during our Taylor Swift NY weekend. This location is absolutely so cute, there are two parks right across the street so we opted to sit outside and enjoy the view. We sat in the covered patio area and it was the move. The servers were so friendly and sat us quickly. For food my sister ordered off the specials menu that comes with coffee and juice and I ordered the jalapeno avocado omelette (which came with potatoes and toast). We both had iced coffee that came out quickly. Very good coffee and they bring out milk which is so clutch cause it's way better than those little creamers. The food came out at a reasonable speed. Portion sizes were large. My eggs were perfectly cheesey and pillowy. I seriously loved this omelette. Crispy little potatoes with onions were the perfect side. Sometimes good diner type breakfast food is what you need. If I lived around here, I would come often because the prices weren't that bad either.Loved this place and would definitely be back if I lived in New York!"
"I can't say I was disappointed with the burger. It reminded me of shake shack before it was on very corner. Cute small place with speedy service."
"Excellent food and service. I went there tonight with my family and it was awesome The food is fresh and comes out delicious and plentiful for all of us. Our waitress "Caterina" was friendly and prompt with our food. I told her I didn't eat fish so when my family ordered clams & sauce, she put the dish on the other end of the table and brought me a rice ball special - which was delicious l. She was very fast with replacing the empty plates and periodically asked us if we were OK. One thing I really like about this restaurant is that it is wheelchair accessible. No steps or uphill ramp- the whole place is flat. Caterina was very helpful also by helping me transfer to my seat and she put my wheelchair in a safe spot out of the way. I highly recommend this place!!!"
"I ordered food from here Friday evening after having happy hour drinks with coworkers. It took a while for someone to take my order (I'll attribute the wait to the Friday Happy Hour mayhem). I ordered the BBQ wings. 10 wings for $10, who could go wrong with that?... They were finger licking good, literally lol. As Dutch Boy Burger is connected to Franklin Park, an outdoor seating area, I had my food outside. This area can get pretty lit when the drinks are flowing lol. Overall, they have great food to complement a happy hour drink. However, you can expect high wait times during high traffic times, such as happy hour."
"Mother's is a bar restaurant offering some good deals on food and drinks. They have a slew of $10 cocktails, which is very affordable in relation to other bars in the area. Staff is very friendly, especially the bartender. I ordered a Pan Fried Tilapia Sandwich with a side of tater tots for a $1 up charge. To be fair, I'm not the biggest tilapia fan but the sandwich, especially the potato bun and condiments, was enjoyable. The sandwich included a large piece(s) of tilapia. So, make sure you're hungry for this one. The tater tots were crisp and not too greasy. There's both indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor seating area provides for good people watching as it's located on a busy commercial street."
"Great little pizza spot. The cheese pizza was spot on. The deep dish was great for deep dish. Super reasonable price. We got 3 slices & 2 drinks for $24."
"Will return againNice ambiance, great staff, and great first breakfast. Decorative indoor dining with a warm feel. Morning waffles and coffee were pretty darn good"
"Home Frite's food actually tastes as yummy as it looks in photos. When I call for a delivery, my food is still hot which I truly appreciate. The crispy chicken sandwiches are tasty, the burgers are juicy and superb. The fries are a warm, crispy, toasty must. Get into the spicy ketchup. I've tried a few of the boozy shakes and the Hennessy shake is my favorite. I got a real buzz after guzzling one down. If you're not looking for a tipsy treat, the apple pie milkshake is what you should go with...it's soooo good!"
