"Great cafe that serves a tasty Australian-style brunch. Service is very friendly. The wait times can sometimes be long but worthwhile. Outdoor seating is lovely at most times of the year and there is good shade coverage. The scrambled eggs and smoothies are always a solid choice."
"Came here with my mom and daughter for brunch. Mom had the pastrami Benedict-ish which was amazing (it had onion jam too!), my daughter had the kids scrambled eggs with bacon and tater tots, and I had the eggs in hell. Everything was very tasty, servers were very attentive, and they had great coffee. I'd definitely come back!"

"Quick meet and eat with Lisa E. and our lovely daughter Mele before a show. Second time here bit first indoors. Nice NY bar feel with a more than decent cocktail list. My classic negroni was indeed as described, classic in every sense. The duck confit carnitas was a delight to eat! Two crispy skinned legs plated with everything needed to make mexican style peking duck. Appetizer portion was more than enough for a meal. I could see their chipotle hoisin sauce becoming the latest sriracha craze."
"American style lunch. Solid options. Decent portion size.Service was decent, I think we had a switch of waiter half way. But staff are very friendly and respectfulThere are two sections for seating, one near the outside door, and a section further in. Has a diner theme seating."
"We've been going to Fonda for years and love it. Last night we almost had a lousy experience but NO! The management went above and beyond to make everything work perfectly for us. I was very grateful because it was my birthday. We all enjoy the food- my favorite is always camarones adobado and it was delicious as usual. My son loves the fried plantains and they really are they best of anywhere we've eaten. Thanks Fonda for continuing to be a reliable, fun, delicious place for our family!"
"Lobster Noodles! omg a must! I absolutely love their lobster noodles. The sharing plate concept works well as the portion sizes are shareable. The service is good and the staff is very attentive and knowledgable about the menu items. The ambiance matches the Indonesian theme of the restaurant. Other standouts for me is their Kopi cocktail, spring rolls, scallop satays, and crab fried rice. Pro tip: ask to sit at the chef's counter."
"Banter is a gem!! After a long week of travel throughout NYC, my family and I brunched here on our last day. We got there at 8ish and it was nice and empty and quiet-- a great change of pace. This was also the best brunch/breakfast we had that trip (and we had a lot of brunch). I recommend the Golden Folded Eggs, they are cooked to fluffy perfection. And DONT SKIP OUT ON THEIR SOURDOUGH TOAST!! It taste so fresh and crusty and moist. LOVE! On top of this, their coffee is to daiiii for! Cappuccino is my go-to order. I wish we had Banters in Los Angeles"
"Cebu Bar & Bistro is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. We stumbled upon this place Christmas Eve Weekend after trying to go to both Kettle Black & Ho Brah for dinner and both being closed for private holiday parties. Boy, were we happy to find that Cebu was open. Even though the back room was occupied for a private party, the rest of the establishment was open for regular dinner service. Cebu is accessible via public transportation, including the R tain to 86 Street Train , as well as the B37 & B16 & B63 buses. There are various stores, eateries & hangout spots around this neighborhood, and Cebu is near a few places, including Chadwicks, which is a nice Steak House. When we eventually crossed the street and went into Cebu, we were glad to be greeted by the lovely hostess and to find seats at the bar area. Menus were provided to us, and I observed a nice-sized crowd of patrons enjoying their dining experience while eating fabulous llooking dishes. Cebu has a chic ambiance and lively atmosphere. Cool lighting and pictures are all throughout Cebu, including in the bathroom. Great music played in the background - Dua Lupa, Rihanna, etc. We ordered the "Modern Love" cocktail - Empress 1908 Gin, Elderflower & Lavender, and the "Spiked Lemonade" cocktail - Deep Eddy, Sweet Tea Vidka, Lemonade & Mint. Both of the cocktails were delightfully refreshing. Cebu gives complimentary bread, which was served warm and tasted fresh. Our Steak Skewers Appetizer as well the Entrees- Rigatoni w/ Sausage and Slamon w/ Asparagus - were good. Shout-Out to Doug, Richard, Brian, Natalie & especially to Fernando as they all were so kind to us. Cebu Staff provided wonderful customer service, and we look forward to returning to try other dishes. "I came here on a Saturday for brunch and the place was packed and it had a nice vibe going. My friends and I went with the bottomless brunch which was $27 when you buy a brunch entree. What I love was that the bottomless not only included mimosas but Aperol spritz which I'm a huge fan of.The spritz were very tasty yet strong enough. As far as my entree I went with the brunch nachos with buffalo chicken. The nachos were delicious and a very generous portion for one.I really enjoyed our brunch and will definitely be coming back."
"Great food and good atmosphere on Time Square! I had the grill cheese sandwich and the bread was so tasty"
"Rule of Thirds is such a unique gem! These are the kind of dishes you won't find on every menu (even other Japanese menus). We came here for brunch and had the nicest server who really made our experience. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The hot honey gem salad was so tasty and refreshing. It is a very generous portion, so we weren't able to finish, but honestly, we still loved it. The hot honey is very subtle but the overall flavor is delicious. We also got the chicken katsu sando and we loved the chicken itself, which was perfectly fried. One of the standouts for us was the smashed potato. This had an incredible, rich flavor and was a very balanced dish. I'm not a big mushroom fan, so I was a bit apprehensive about this, and it really blew me away. We also loved the hottekoki- every table orders this and you can see why! It is lightly sweet and the honey maple butter adds great flavor. Highly recommend adding the optional soft serve, which is a little mini portion of the white sesame soft serve that comes on the side (and is also dairy free!). The cocktails were also quite unique- both of the ones we tried had a very herbal profile. You might not enjoy these as much if you tend to like sweet cocktails, but we enjoyed trying them. The one complaint we had was that the utensils you're provided make it really hard to eat everything. For example, the gem salad was delicious, but the leaves and radishes were huge and we were only provided chopsticks, so it was difficult to actually eat bites of the salad. The katsu sando had a large schmear of mustard on the side, but we didn't have anything we could use to put the mustard on the sando. The wooden spoons that came with the hottokeki were also kind of impractical- they were fine to use to scoop out pieces of the pancake but hard to actually eat with. We really enjoyed our experience here and would gladly come back!"
"Cute atmosphere, nice servers and host, good food. Was overpriced but that's to be expected from a trendy NYC cafe. Overall great atmosphere!"

Was in NY for a week on a business trip and found this place. I'm glad I did.It was delicious! The Brekkie Roll was my favorite of the 2 dishes because I'm a sucker for a brioche bun but overall it was just a great experience. Staff was friendly and all had Australian accents which was a nice switch up.It is a hole in the wall so not a ton of seating inside and it was cold the week I visited but it looks like they have a decent amount of seating outside when it warms up. It's a very modern, minimalistic, restaurant with potted plants to warm up the ambiance. But the people make it what it is.Grateful to have found it and excited to revisit in the future. Thanks Hole in the Wall for enhancing my first NY Experience

A perfectly clean and nice space to go if you need to meet someone close to Penn station for some reason, which I did and was happy to have a place where we weren't rushed. Made reservations online but prolly didn't need them. The food was fine, nothing too memorable. The interior was dark but still cool like an old school restaurant and we had a comfy booth. The service was solicitous without being overbearing and they let us linger and talk for a while. Comfortable clean and neat Penn station - if those are your requirements come here. The bathroom is a bit far away - down the stairs and in the hotel but a clean bathroom near Penn station is great!

Really enjoyed our time here. Good atmosphere. Recommend the fries with white sauce. Not far from Broadway/Times Square but good bar with decent prices that won't break the bank just a stone's throw away. Really enjoyed the espresso martini and food service was quick.

We came here for a quick bite on Saturday around noon. Luckily we walked in before there was a line. Decor is fine. Staff is friendly. Food came out quickly. Taste is on the point. BLAT:8/10. Bacon is crispy; flavorful.Steak&egg: 10/10. I'm surprised how tender the steak is. I think this steak is the best of all Steak&Egg I've tried so far. Tender and flavorful.

First things first- for the uninitiated, you should plan to arrive on a weekday around 4:00 for one of the best happy hour deals in the Slope. You get a mix of all types squeezed in at the smallish bar area (seating around 9) but the menu selections are worth it at the price point. I rarely go wrong with a mango margarita on the rocks and an order of the nachos which is a massive platter of tortilla chips layered with chorizo, black beans, Chihuahua cheese, pico de gallo, crema and pickled jalapenos. All menu items including the guac are $11 and you will save $3-4 on drinks depending on your libation of choice.Service has always been excellent; bartenders are usually pretty attentive and friendly. There is plenty of additional sitting as well as a seasonal backyard area and the regular menu plays most of the greatest hits with the Pollo Norteno (guajillo marinated chicken with cheese, peppers and onions and warm tortillas) and carnitas being the standout. If it weren't for the bar situation, I might knock off one star as those Slope prices have me wondering what I would be able to get for the same cost in nearby Sunset Park but there is enough of a selection at happy hour, for Fonda to make it into the weekly rotation.

So good! Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in NYC, I came here for lunch with a friend and we shared a chicken satay bowl, a papaya salad, and the Pandan French toast and each item was fantastic. The papaya-pear salad had so much flavor and paired with the hot sauce they give you, it was flavorful, refreshing and complex at the same time. The chicken satay bowl was also delicious, with crispy rice, peanut sauce coated grilled chicken, and veggies with corn fritters; I have to come back for this bowl cause it was everything I wanted in one. The French toast with grilled pineapple wasn't too sweet and was so moist with all the milk it almost reminded me of a grilled tres leches, which was so good. It came with a pandan/kaya jam that was perfection. I have to come back for dinner since this meal was unforgettable.

The best sweet potato fries are here!!! I'm in love. I already have a spot for best french fries but Banter takes the crown for the sweet potato ones. The beautiful scrambled eggs are as delicious as they look. The huge bowl I ordered was breakfast and lunch all in for me -- very filling. Watermelon juice hits the spot.Everything is A+ including the service.I guess the wait can be annoying but worth it.

I attended a baby shower here, and boy, was I blown away. The private room for events was so nice with a moody (darker) vibe, natural light pouring in from the glass windows, and greenery. It was very spacious and had bathrooms within the room, and most of the workers were very friendly. The food was never ending, I think it was like four courses, which is just what they offer for events. First was three different appetizers per each table (or more like group of tables). The lollipop chicken wings, meatballs, and calamari were all delish. But the meatballs ranked last. Next came a small salad, which was the right amount. I don't know what it contained but it was a pretty good simple salad. Then came the penne alla vodka, which was not the best I've had but also not the worst. I wouldn't come here to satisfy that craving but it was acceptable. My entree was a French toast, which was ok. This meal took four hours! But I guess it's because guests didn't all come at the start time and we played games in between. I would consider holding an event here.

"My girlfriends and I got here after 4pm on a Friday, and we were the first ones. It was lovely sitting by the open window, and the fans were blasting. There are large TVs, which were showing the Olympics. More fun for us.The menu was pretty robust for the time of day. I could have had any of the cocktails, truly. The campfire old fashioned hit the spot. The bartender was chill and nice - attentive enough. The decor, particularly the central tree, is stunning. It feels like a very fancy cabin."
"San Gennaro starts tomorrow.Press Conference tomorrow 11am at LaMela Ristorante for Heywhosbetterthanyou.com Great omlette three interiors, decaf, fruit, toast.Good vibe sitting facing the streetBottle of water on table to start with.Good service."
"One of my favorite cafes in Nolita that has really good simple food and good service. Restaurant is small but super cute. I usually order 2 things here-the spinach goat cheese omelette is one of my favs and the vegetable panini. Both are so good and are a staple for me since I've always gotten the same 2 things off their menu. I've been meaning to try other things, but I enjoy these 2 so much (not together, separate times)."
"The Vermintino was very unique. Strong on the lemon zest/peel flavor. Went perfectly with the linguine/vongole. Great fried artichokes, too. The lemon aioli was excellent. Americano was also perfect.Third visit, and the best. Andrew is one of the best bartenders I've met as a patron or as a worker in the industry. He was very accommodating and suggestive for the best experience possible. My meal was quick, efficient, correct, and pleasurable. I am looking forward to my next visit here."
"Live this place every time i go!FoodFolksPrice are perfect I always wantvto try new optionsIt keeps me wNting more"
"Absolutely delicious every time we visit! Our favorite spot for fresh veggies and finger-licking delicious pasta. Highly recommend!"
"I don't have pics of everything I ate because we were too busy enjoying the food and conversation at the table. Service here is always A1. They are attentive w/o being annoying. The restaurant is cozy, it doesn't feel cramped. This was my second time here. What I love about the food at Estela is how playful every dish is. Every plate was cleaned, no crumbs. My friend even took the ricotta dumpling broth from bowl to her face, it was so good. Things I highly recommend are the beef tartar, the Endive granola, the arroz and ricotta dumpling! We also did the cheese board and chocolate cake . Tip: I always recommend making a reservation. They be booked and busy."
"Great ambiance, not super quiet but comfortable. I had the apple pancake and it was outstanding. Also had an espresso martini with mint that was delicious. They say they close at 3pm but I think we sat with a friend until almost 5pm and only were asked to bounce because they needed to bus our table before the dinner reservations rolled in. Will definitely go back, these guys are awesome."
"Food was Blah, not much to it. Not much food options. Nice but very dim ambiance. Very Long Seating Time, Expensive for no reason."
"Beautiful, chic decor. A lot of natural light. Great, kind service. Good food. Would definitely return."
"I arrived at this spot with a group of six with no reservation, and we were promptly seated--always a good start. The service here was nice too; our server was very attentive, and my water glass was never empty. I went with the Rigatoni al Ragu, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The portion size was spot on, and the sauce was top notch. If I'm being picky, I did wish it had just a little more kick--maybe a touch of heat or seasoning to elevate it. But honestly, that's a small note in what was otherwise a great dish. All in all, this place is a solid find."
"This is a cute little place serving Italian street food. There is an area to order with only a few chairs, as well as enclosed, heated outdoor dining with additional tables and seating. The decor is lovely, with tons of adorable displays and quotes about coffee & love. It also had a cozy atmosphere and sweet feel. I selected the Piemontese Cassoni, which consisted of sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, as well as truffle oil. That truffle oil really shone, and the cheese was irresistibly melty, while the sausage was wonderfully juicy, tender, cooked with delightful seasonings and spices. For dessert, I ordered the Nutella Mochachino, as well as the Nutella Bombolone. The Mocha was very tasty, topped with whipped cream and generous helping of Nutella. It was silky smooth, rich coffee taste, and like a warm hug. The Bombolone was okay, but there wasn't enough Nutella filling.Service was really good. Our waitress was friendly and knew the menu well. Payment is handled at the counter. They didn't have enough change for me, but the owner came back with plenty. The prices were very reasonable. I would return to try the Truffle Pizza."
"two combined buildings so don't get confused ! made this mistake & accidentally waited to long for food oops ! but it's a really cool place, as you can watch the chef make these masterpieces at the bar, or sit & wait patiently. very calm & relaxing, & i loved the touch of anime, kpop, & jpop music !i got the cream cheese & strawberry toast, which, mind the photo because it does not capture its glory. i sadly had to carry it through the heatwave & it melted on the way home: but it was SPECTACULAR nonetheless ! would love to try fresh one day. the bread was nice & squishy, fresh tasting, & the mix of sweet of the strawberry jam & the savory of the cream cheese was amazing.i hope to come back to try this again, along with their other savory & sweet toasts !"
"YUM! Anthony & Son make some of the freshest, tastiest sandwiches in NYC!Our normal order is a Healthilicious Panini and a Godmother sandwich. We also tried the seafood salad for the first time today, which was great (we spied it in the deli case last time we were there, and noted how fresh it looked).Always fresh, always delicious. Sometimes busy, so it can take a minute for your food but well worth the wait. I don't believe they do delivery, though you can order ahead for pick up, now at a window around the corner on Frost Street. You can't go wrong with this family run spot."
"Super busy with long lines if you don't get there earlier than your anticipated time! Very cozy and packed space with amazing food! Came here for brunch with my close friends and we all got something different! We got the açaí bowl, blue bowl, avocado toast, smoked salmon toast and the broccolini farro bowl! All good options!"
"I continue to patronize and enjoy Harry's Italian on 2 Gold Street. Speaking for myself, I'm guaranteed a good dining experience. My friend and I planned a celebratory birthday dinner--hers in a few days and mine (just last week) and immediately thought of Harry's. The space is large, rustic and cozy and accommodates any occasion. For us, Harry's is like an old friend. An old reliable.Service was attentive including water refill. We skipped appetizers and ordered our main straightaway. I always find myself selecting the Chicken in the Oven with Eggplant. For an additional $6 I included a side of Spaghetti. As you can see from the photo, a huge portion. My friend followed suit only with the Chicken Arrabiata. It looked really good which I tried in the past as well. They don't skimp on portions--my dish included 3 Chicken cutlets. So delicious.A smooth Chianti complemented the meal. I walked out stuffed. From their Fried Calamari and Baked Clams to their Chicken and pasta dishes, Harry's is sure to please. Pizza is good too!Solid."
"3.5 stars. Bar Tabac is a solid staple in Boerum Hill for a number of reasons and I could see why.I had brunch and dinner in the past and remember being satisfied. I'm just getting the opportunity to write a review now.I recently had dinner at Bar Tabac funnily enough, craving Mussels. Yup, it was on the menu. Actually the menu prices posted on the door differed from the prices on the menu via the QR code. That was a hmmm moment. In addition, there seemed to be a discussion among the staff about the end of HH. They verbally said 6 but the chalkboard stated 7 pm. Once 7 pm was confirmed, someone else said it was 6 but then it was back to 7 pm again. This ping pong exchange was kind of off putting. Our first round of wine wasn't to out liking so we exchanged it for something else which the waitress was accommodating. We were sold on the Mussels & Frites in the white wine sauce. Also served with bread. The Mussels arrived with the frites--a generous portion. The bread for dunking and savoring the delicious wine sauce was nowhere to be found. Service was a bit lackluster and by the time the bread arrived, I was halfway through my meal. The fries were also a bit soggy.Overall, the meal was above average except for the details I outlined. And there were several. It could have been an off night, but prices should be consistent when accessing all menus.Despite this, I'd return."
"My friend and I came here for dinner. There was outdoor seating, but we opted for indoor seating. The interior was mostly blue with yellow accents, along with a relaxed, Mediterranean vibe. We were served complimentary yummy, warm, soft bread with olive oil. I ordered the Pirzola, which were grilled Colorado Lamb Chops ($32.95), served with Turkish rice and veggies. The Lamb Chops were cooked to perfection with nice grill marks. They were melt in your mouth tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The rice was also fluffy and flavorful. Vegetables included tomato, carrots, yellow squash and zucchini. I also got to try the Spinach Pizza, which consisted of cream sauce, mozzarella fior di latte, along with shaved Parmesan cheese. This was delightfully cheesy with well done thin crust, however I'm not really a fan of spinach. Service was good. I thought the prices were very reasonable, especially for the Upper West Side. I would definitely like to return to try the sampling platter of all the appetizers, Roasted Branzino, Moussaka, as well as the Pear and Walnut Pizza."
"This place is amazing. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great. We ordered several things including lamb chops, lasagna, chicken parm, and all of it was delicious. The atmosphere is very cool, with art throughout the space. We had their chocolate chip cookies with steamed milk for dessert and ended up ordering it again the next night. My son spent some time drawing on the paper placemat and then gave it to the owner, Nitti. Nitti was so friendly and kind, and he spent some time sharing with us that all of the artistic elements in the restaurant were designed by his son. Overall, this is a great restaurant run by great people. I would give more than 5 stars if I could."
"I admittedly do not have my black belt in restaurant etiquette, but being directly asked to leave after 2 hours at the table just felt kind of wrong to me.I was here with 3 coworkers on a Sunday for brunch, and we were in the midst of an all-time gossip/vent session when our waitress came up and said she needed the table. We were just sitting there chopping it up for like 30 minutes after the corpses of our shared Chocolate Chip Pancakes and my Mediterranean Bowl got cleared from the table and I could see the waitress trying to get us out of there with her eyes ahahaha.2 hours is a lot so I do get it, but at the same time I don't get it. Part of what I'm paying for is the time to enjoy sitting there, letting my food settle and talking to whoever I'm eating with, not looking up at the clock to see how much longer I have until I need to leave. I don't know, I'm always open to constructive criticism. I'm not letting it reflect in the rating because I normally don't sit at a place for 2 hours.Outside of asked-to-leave-the-table gate, this place is delightful. A warm and cozy vibe that one could expect in Southwest Michigan, or "Swishigan" as the locals call it. A classic American brunch spot with huge portions and solid pancakes which is honestly harder to come by in NYC than you'd think. Really makes you wonder........My big homie showed up late and teetering that ever-so-fine line of being hungover/still drunk, so the Bloody Mary cured him. He was drinking that thing like it was water ahahaha. He also had a fit on that you would never catch him in at work... Corduroy pants?!?! Okay we see you big homie...Also, I just need to mention I'm blessed to have 3 coworkers who I like enough to see outside of working hours. GOD DID!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__"
"Biscuit sandwiches were good but the eggs were hammered and the bacon could have sizzled on the griddle a bit longer. Coffee was good and it was an overall nice experience."
"Visiting and a colleague recommended AlMar and it did not disappoint! We shared the lasagne bolognese, chicken Milanese and whipped ricotta crostini - all of which were amazing! The restaurant has a simple yet moody ambiance that was perfect for a nice dinner vibe. Most of all staff were great, timely, and attentive. We had a chance to speak with the owner and he was a delight! He insisted we try the chocolate mousse - WHICH WAS TO DIE FOR! Will come again when I visit Brooklyn again."
"I love eating here! Food is always so good, from Bfast to a nice yummy salad and many more delicious dishes. Everything is always fresh and the staff is always nice and attentive."
