"Went for Valentine's Day dinner and it was great! The ambience was cozy the wine and drinks were amazing! The food, I got the 30ft long made in house spaghetti while my husband got the lobster risotto, both were delicious! Our waiter Ben was great and very knowledgeable service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend!"
"Perfect date night spot!! Hi-Collar is exactly like what I've seen million times in japanese drama. They serve western-influenced dishes (yoshoku) like omurice, hamburg steak and spaghetti. It is a brunch cafe at daytime, and transforms into a charming sake bar at night. We walked in before 6 on a Saturday night and were seated at the bar table. The warm lighting, retro and wooden furnishings really gave Haruki Murakami's novel vibes. *Napolitan Spaghetti $20If you watched the Netflex series "First Love", you should have heard of Napolitan spaghetti. The ingredients are very simple: ketchup, sausage, green pepper, onion and grated cheese. They presented it on a sizzling pan and put an omelette at the bottom. The sauce was sweet and I loved the veggies. Very homey and delicious. *Hayashi Omurice $29Hayashi is a western style beef stew cooked in a demi-glace sauce. It tasted like a blend of red wine and tomato paste. We cut the omelette and revealed the silky scrambled egg. It was served with a good amount of sliced wagyu beef, mushrooms and onions. Totally got the hype of their iconic omurice. Many reviews complained their portion size didn't match their steep price. My bf and I both thought their dishes were decently portioned and filling, given my bf usually eats a lot lol. Their lunch menu is cheaper but maybe the portion is different?"

"The best part about Tabare is definitely the vibe-- so warm and welcoming. They don't rush you at all (we took FOREVER to order, and they were super accommodating). We ate for a long time, sat for a long time, and there was truly no rush. It was giving Europe with how generous they were with time. Food wise, my favorite thing I ate was the beef empanada. Super fresh and flavorful; give me 10 more. I was also a fan of the brussels salad, which was both savory and sweet. Where I went wrong was definitely the ravioli-- while it wasn't bad, I just don't think ravioli is where their strong suit is. The plate was lackluster compared to the burgers my friends got, and the flavor was a bit bland. I'd definitely recommend going with a meat dish (as the menu says they're known for), and absolutely that beef empanada!"
"While waiting for our dinner reservations, we popped into this lovely bar for a quick drink. It was quite busy on a weeknight, but bartenders were also quick to take our orders and provide any service.I ordered the Garden of Heat-en ($16) while my friends had the Drink Formerly Known As ($16) and #HornyinNewYork ($16). All three drinks were refreshing and colorful. All the ingredients were prevalent as we sipped the drinks. Great bar to meet with friends in the lively Midtown East area."
"Headed to Soba Totto with some coworkers since it was near our office. We saw so many Japanese businessmen in suits in the private booths, you know it's legit when they're all coming here to eat.Anyway for apps, we ordered the grilled salmon (salmon yuan yaki) and tako wasa (raw octopus with wasabi). Both were excellent starters. For mains, we got the sukiyaki and the kamo (duck) nanban. The broth for the sukiyaki was delicious! The cold soba was fresh, the poached egg was runny, and I also added on a piece of shrimp tempura, which was the right amount of shrimp to batter ratio for the perfect crunchy bite.My friend enjoyed the nanban, but we both agreed the sukiyaki was the way to go since it came with beef, mushrooms and poached egg, along with the entire presentation of it all.I'd come back to try some other items on the menu."
"We wanted to get a drink before our dinner reservations at 7:45 around the corner. Great little spot. Love the ambiance. Drinks were strong and great. Definitely recommend"
"What can I complain about this restaurant? My personally favorite thing to eat here looks like none of them. My husband loves here because they have steak and eggs for breakfast. I'm in other hand. I already tried grilled fish, ceviche shrimp or other dishes. None is my cup of tea, honestly. Today I order Nopal Asado; it is grilled cactus top with Oaxacan cheese and rajas con crema. I kind of like it. I know now what should I order when I come to this Maxican place. Limitation of food I like but I can make it works."
"Really wanting a burger but lower carbs we came here on a weekday. It wasn't busy but we had just made happy hour. It being a bar there was no problem finding a seat and seeing a game (if that's your style). The tap selections were good and my burger was chargrilled to perfection. Everyone in my party can vouch for a delicious meal."
"I came here one evening on a whim and was fortunately able to get a spot (highly recommend reservations here if you can!). The interior of the restaurant is dim and spacious, but the music was a bit loud when I went so it was hard to hear the person I was with.We got the crispy squid ceviche, catch of the day, and the black sesame dessert. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the crispy squid ceviche as it came with a nice dipping (?) broth that I absolutely loved. The catch of the day was soft, tender, and had an amazing sauce. And, the black sesame was an unexpected dessert/flavor to try at this Peruvian spot, but I loved it. Portions are a bit small, but everything was worth it."
"Great meal and attentive service. Could hardly finish our meals as the portions were very plentiful and the flavors were so rich. Great date night location"
"We had tickets for a NY Rangers playoff game and came for dinner. We walked in to find lifesize cutouts of Ranger players when we walked in! Their bar drinks were quite good, and their pub menu was extensive. We started with Middle Eastern hummus, and then the Penn6 burger and margherita pizza, which were very good. Their apple cobbler hit the spot to finish the meal. Overall, good quality food for a reasonable price (for NYC) and their servers were pleasant and helpful. Atmosphere was a little loud, but hey - it's a bar where everyone was going to the game afterwards! Definitely a good spot for pre-game meals, just two blocks from the Garden!"
"Great ambiance, not super quiet but comfortable. I had the apple pancake and it was outstanding. Also had an espresso martini with mint that was delicious. They say they close at 3pm but I think we sat with a friend until almost 5pm and only were asked to bounce because they needed to bus our table before the dinner reservations rolled in. Will definitely go back, these guys are awesome."

Came here with friends for a dinner after eating at the Allora on Fifth Avenue and was hoping to match the experience I had there but it didn't quite meet the standard that was set there, but it was still okay.Overall, the food is good and service was interesting but the ambiance is severely lacking. Again, since in my mind I'm comparing it to the other location, I may be grading on a tougher scale. Food-wise, we started with a Caesar salad made tableside which was great. They had a special of grilled calamari but when we asked if they had fried, they said they could do that and they made a really nice plate of fried calamari. I had the dentice mediterranean (red snapper) for my meal and it was good, although not quite as delicious as the one I had at the other location. I think maybe they cooked it early and it sat out for awhile as it had gotten a little cold and the sauce had congealed a bit. The waiter was professional but was really pushing hard to add food to the ticket. It's just uncomfortable having to push back multiple times, especially when he was trying to get my friend who doesn't eat seafood to order a seafood appetizer. Additionally, the same friend ordered a veal pasta special, which was gigantic. It was also delicious, as the waiter forced everyone at the table to try some even though two of the people protested that they didn't want any. Not everyone eats veal, my dude! And then to forcibly put it on someone's plate just so it gets tossed out doesn't make sense to me. Maybe some people think that's charming or cute but as an adult, I'm capable of being clear on what I wish to eat and what I don't wish to eat and it would be nice if that was respected. The biggest drawback of this place is the ambiance. We ate early in the evening and were the only table in the restaurant when we sat down. About 45 minutes later, a table for two was seated right next to us and they were so loud. If the restaurant was going to be packed, I get it, but by the time we left only two more tables had been seated. The tables where we were seated were close together and I just didn't understand why they had to seat that couple on top of us. We literally couldn't hear our own conversation over the screeching of the lady at the next table. Additionally, there were some people in the back of the restaurant and I'm not sure if they worked there or not but the wait staff was hanging out and they were also just super loud and distracting. So even though the food was good, the weird, pushy service and the really loud people kind of ruined the vibe. Probably wouldn't come back here but would definitely go back to the other location where it's a little bit calmer and is more of a fine dining experience.

Ambiance was 10/10! I loved the homey decorations and the beautiful skylight in the middle of the room. I went here for a galentines and it was wonderful. The food itself was very good: I liked the spaghetti the best, I thought the omelette could be more flavorful. The cake was sooo beautiful and I loved all the details on it. It wasn't too sweet and it was a nice treat to end the meal. I loveddd the teas and the cups it came with. Such unique flavors; sweet Berry had a hint of caramel which I loved. We were given an hour time limit which made us rush a bit so I wish the time limit could be extended. I also wish we were given utensils for each dish so we wouldn't have to use our own to scoop. I also wish our plates were bigger! Was a bit of a mess to mix all the food together.

Decent option for brunch especially in a bigger group for bottomless. We ordered the huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito which were both good options! We got pulled in here because of the name of the restaurant but so glad we did since it was an awesome brunch!

We went to Soba Totto for restaurant week dinner, and for $45, you get an appetizer, your choice of a second course, and a main dish. Some items were pretty solid, and others somewhat forgettable. The agedashi tofu had good flavor, but by the time it arrived, the breading was too soggy and chewy. The tempura was a bit too oily. The yakitori, however, was pretty good. Simple flavor but it let the quality of the ingredients shine. Although the appetizers were nothing special, the main dishes were tasty. My boyfriend got the chicken oyako don, and he loved how the flavors and textures blended together. I got the salmon ikura don, and the salmon sashimi was very fresh and the thickness of the cuts were perfect. The restaurant itself is very spacious and cozy, making it a pleasant dining experience.

We have dined in at Nizza several times but today, being that it is very cold out, we decided to order in. That was a huge mistake. Nothing was edible. Our order was the mushroom pizza, Caesar salad and the pappardelle pasta. The pizza literally looks like it was reheated at least twice. The sauce on top looks like foam. Sadly we will not be coming back to Nizza. The food was always delicious even when we order takeout. Unacceptable for us to pay $98 for an entire inedible meal.

The food here is delicious. I've ordered from this place on three different occasions and have not been disappointed yet. Definitely one of the best burger spots in the downtown Bklyn area... Pop by if you are in the area. !

"Cute place in Williamsburg Awesome decor Outdoor area available Kid friendly Good and friendly service Ambiance is cool for a meet up with friends or day date Drinks could be better mixed and presented My favorite food item was the prosciutto pizza The artichoke dip was clunky and needs more seasoning A suggested addition to the menu would be French fries for the kids Happy we got to try this place"
"I've been dreaming about the veal agnolotti for twenty-four hours. Beautiful place, more romantic (and roomy) than its exterior might suggest, especially when they dim the lights. And, as its name suggests, is THE place for wine lovers. I was also impressed with the staffing in both quantity and quality. There was no waiting for anything. This was a celebration night for my partner and I, and I had carefully read through the reviews and menus of a lot of other Italian restaurants in the area before settling on MdV. I wanted to feel like we'd had an extra special experience and we definitely got that.My only small critique is that I felt like the apple tart didn't live up to the flavor of the other dishes, minus the vanilla ice cream on top. The tart itself was a bit bland and watery. When in doubt, stick with the tiramisu!"
"A hearty brunch with hip hop and a casual vibe. The two dishes we ordered were filling and delicious with their unique flavors. Boss lady bomb - Tater Tots, Scrambled Eggs, Avocado Mash, Coconut Curry (his preferred choice)Jerk chicken hash - tasty! My preferred choice. We had a few glasses of Prosecco. There is a bottomless bubbles, etc option for those looking for a boozy brunch."
"I arrived at this spot with a group of six with no reservation, and we were promptly seated--always a good start. The service here was nice too; our server was very attentive, and my water glass was never empty. I went with the Rigatoni al Ragu, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The portion size was spot on, and the sauce was top notch. If I'm being picky, I did wish it had just a little more kick--maybe a touch of heat or seasoning to elevate it. But honestly, that's a small note in what was otherwise a great dish. All in all, this place is a solid find."
"I had the fish tacos and they were fantastic! Service was super friendly. It's really dark in there (as you can see from my photos - one is lightened and one is normal), but it's definitely a place will cool vibes!"
"Came here with a friends on Saturday around 4pm. We ordered the steak and eggs, fried chicken sandwich, sangria and a lavender mint lemonade. It took a really long time for our food and drinks to come. There was only one bartender but we waited over 20 mins just for the drinks alone, both of which were not good. However, the food more than made up for it, even though once again a long wait. My eggs were fluffy, soft and flavorful that I was raving about it as soon as I ate it. The steak was tender and the chimmichuri sauce went well with it. My friend really enjoyed her chicken sandwich as well. Overall, I would come back for brunch but I wouldn't get drinks from here."
"Honest review (04/11/23)**$25 lunch combo of an appetizer + entree w/choice of riceIf you would like a quiet and dark atmosphere then I would recommend inside. But I liked watching people and cars while sitting in the patio section.I got the Hummus (appetizer) and basa fish in lemon sauce (entree) with polo baghali. The HUMMUS tasted fresh with the perfect mixture of chickpeas, tahini, olive oil and garlic. The BASA FISH was good, but way to buttery for my tastebuds, but with the rice it captured the buttery-ness. First time trying YOGURT & CUCUMBER which was nice and refreshing with the bread, but I would prefer hummus more than the yogurt & cucumber tho. My personal preference. The restaurant was not busy when we walked in and the server gave us enough time to look through the menu and have us order. There is only street parking which is hard to find, but an option is to take the train and walk :) There is restrooms inside too.Taste 9/10Texture 9/10Visual 10/10Service 9/10Definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you are in the area."
"Came here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but we were able to get a table. We got the espresso martinis and they were so so good. They have chocolate shavings on them and it was honestly one of the better martinis that I've had.Beware that if this place is crowded, it does get pretty loud but it's definitely more of a chill sit down, kind of vibe and not a dancing around type of place !"
"What a great surprise! We made a reservation without really knowing much and after looking at some mediocre reviews. It was fantastic! Lavagna has a small menu and we ordered a lot off of it. The standouts were the octopus app sliced thin and the sweet pea ravioli with a hint of mint. The scallop appetizers was also delish. Perfectly cooked. The beet salad was good. The star was the whole fish- it came flambé (which might have been a bit unnecessary) but the results were beyond. The four of us shared this for dinner after sharing apps. Great sleeper restaurant that I would totally recommend."
"This place has become a regular spot for us. The food is always amazing. The vibe is romantic. The service is always on point. The steak special was incredible. The flavor combination was out of this world."
"Pretty cool bar in a pretty cool part of Brooklyn. It's meant to be laidback, but the vibes are weirdly intense, if that makes sense. I also felt for the one bartender who was also taking food orders and making fairly elaborate cocktails. Don't order the tomato soup if you don't like a pint of heavy cream, and don't expect fantastic service because it's while the bartender is nice and patient, nothing happens that quickly. But if you're in the neighborhood, you could do a lot worse."
"The Harold is a charming little gem tucked next to a picturesque park in NYC. From the moment I walked in, the cozy, small-town Christmas vibe wrapped me in warmth. The decor was inviting, with a touch of nostalgia that made it feel like a hidden retreat from the city's hustle. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I ordered the vanilla bean French toast and a cappuccino, and both were absolutely delicious. It was the perfect combination for a relaxed morning. If you're looking for a quaint spot to unwind with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, The Harold is definitely worth a visit. I was able to be seated without a reservation within 10 minutes!"
"I've been intrigued by aRoqa for quite a while, so one night, when I was craving Indian food, we came in. No reservations needed for a Tuesday evening. aRoqa is definitely an upscale Indian restaurant, with a smartly decorated interior and nice bar. We ordered chicken biriyani, butter chicken, and garlic naan (basic, I know). The chicken biriyani was a modest portion, and I was pleasantly surprised to see an addition of crunchy caramelized onions on to (reminds me of a Mediterranean dish). This dish is bone in, and the chicken is very moist, but there were some chicken bits (tendon?) that I found myself biting into that somewhat soured the experience. The raita was much thicker than I'm used to, more of a creamy sweet addition than the usual thin, refreshing raita. This dish was just ok to me. Butter chicken was amazing. Obviously this dish is always good, but it was really delicious here, we surprisingly finished off the entire dish and I found myself licking the spoon at the end. The chicken chunks are large and juicy, but you'll need to cut them with a knife. Garlic naan was delicious - crispy, brushed with butter, incredibly flavorful. Just wish there was more to soak up the delicious butter chicken sauce. Service was very attentive, our waters were filled very quickly. Overall, solid meal. I'm not sure the slight elevation of Indian food is worth the hike in prices, but your options are somewhat limited in the area. I'm not dying to go back, but it definitely hit my Indian food craving."
"My breakfast was amazing. Great service and staff. Can wait to come back for dinner and desert!"
"Great neighborhood restaurant with very large portion sizes. I had the chicken cacciatore. It was amazing. Saw a few other platters of different dishes pass by ... and I will be going back to try."
"This bar was really really really great find of an establishment in NYC. It a very historical location in lower NYC. It's a friendly environment to have some drinks and surprisingly the food was really good. I had a piece of salmon over salad, which was actually really delicious. The salmon was made perfectly medium cooked that a I requested and placed on a lovely salad of micro greens, tomatoes and cucumber with vinaigrette dressing truly fresh. I had a ice coffee that was strong bold yes my favorite description of coffee, which I absolutely love"
"Came here with my friend for dinner! The food was amazing especially the black truffle ravioli! I really enjoyed my experience (and the Sunday happy hour!)"
"I went here a few weeks back having originally wanted to go to nearby Inga's but they were closed as some of the staff members had Covid so I stopped here. They have an interesting menu with a mix of game and pasta with a variety of influences. I got their Banana Boulevardier to drink ($15 like all the other cocktails) which consisted of Four Roses bourbon, Dolan dry vermouth, Campari, and Giffard Banane du Brésil. It was sweet of course with a nice bite at the end from the liqueur and I enjoyed it. They gave some bread after I ordered which was tasty and different from those places. My appetizer was the agnolotti with English pea and ricotta with pancetta, grana padano, and mint oil which is $16 or $28 for a dinner sized portion. It was tasty pasta nicely cooked al dente with a good rich filling. I almost liked the topping on top more than the filling because of the nice mix of salty pancetta and the cheese and I thought it was delicious. My main dish was the blackened lamb sirloin which was sliced over mashed potatoes with a BBQ glaze and it was $36. By comparison to my appetizer, There was a good amount of lamb but some pieces could have been a bit more tender but it was still well seasoned; perhaps overly so. I think maybe some people would find it a bit too blackened as it was a bit bitter occasionally. The mashed potatoes were a bit of a throwaway being properly made but a bit bland and overall the main was good but not as good as the appetizer. The prices were a bit high here but the food was tasty. Perhaps a bit pricey for the quality but no major complaints outside of a couple of the pieces of lamb. Low 4."
"Food was really good and it was pretty crowded as we had an 8pm show to make. The location is perfect if you're catching a broadway play/show. There was a bit of panic when we asked to look at the wine list- our waiter excused himself with the help of 2 others to locate wine menus in a cabinet. Not the most robust of lists but acceptable. The tuna appetizer was very good as were our main dishes. We split a couple of desserts which were surprisingly good. All in all, I'd definitely go back if I had a show to catch."
"Overall great ambiance with a Caribbean vibe. You can enjoy your birthday here or even just come to eat a delicious meal while watching sports.Make sure to arrive early as peak hours get busy for table service. You can always sneak into the bar stool area for a more engaged atmosphere and surround view."
"Cocktails. Yum. Great to sit at the bar and find your favorite faces. Service is accommodating and excellent. Will return."
"I stopped by the other day on a whim (of course, checked their amazing 5 star reviews on Yelp before sitting down) and such a lovely meal while dining on their patio solo. I ordered some empanadas, Pao de Queijo and yucca fries. I washed them all down with a very strong ice coffee. The ambiance here is soo cute and the lovely brazilian accents of their staff really made me feel like I was a world away from home. Their whole team couldn't have been more pleasant and everything was absolutely delicious. Looking back, I did go quite ham on the carb overload, so perhaps next time I will mix it up a bit and try some of their steak or seafood dishes. While some of their most prominent reviews recommend to bring cash, but rest assured, they do take card/apple pay, etc."
"Perfect late night French Swiss spot. showed up around 10pm and the kitchen was still open with no rush to close. The raclette was served with 4 slices of toast. It was melted to a plate when it reached the tables with about 4 mini potato pieces and 3 cornishons. This went well with the dry cider. We also ordered zucchini chips with came with three dips including hummus. The seasonal soup was a large portion. The food is excellent for the hour and price."
