She wasn't wrong--it did not disappoint. In fact, it was probably the best gopchang and daechang I've ever had! The ambiance is super cute, making it a perfect spot for casual drinks and great food. The restaurant was pretty clean and organized. The workers worked swiftly and with great customer service. I had the pork kimchi stew and my cousin had the Gamja Tang ( pork ribs with potato stew). I like my pork kimchi stew, I wish it had more pork in it. I would rate 8 out of 10. My cousin was not impressed with his entree but he did like my pork kimchi stew as well. The entree came with little sides such as kimchi, beets, etc. I like that they have single or couples dining area where it's separates by a clear screen. They have restroom for use. Accepts cards or cash."

Steve L. "Not sure how I haven't reviewed Miss Korea BBQ yet, but been several times - typical, solid KBBQ spot for sure. This latest visit was for a good friend from Jersey's birthday, party of 6 for 6pm on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Service was very attentive from the outset and fielded plenty of questions from the group with pose and helpfulness. We opted to share an order of steamed pork dumplings (yum), kimchi pancakes, and ordered the BBQ Combo B (beef, pork, chicken option - marinated short ribs, marinated bulgogi, spicy pork belly, and chicken), which came with the usual assortment of sides, along with steamed egg and organic tofu soup and up to 4 orders of rice - of all it was very good, and no one left hungry. For drinks, while I wish there was more of a cocktail menu, I settled on the Hakutsuru Draft Sake, which was pretty refreshing. All in all, you really can't go wrong with a trip to Miss Korea BBQ - consistently satisfying."

Sunny C. "Closed Mondays & TuesdaysReally nice place to celebrate a birthday. We came here with a group of 8 and got a karaoke room for two hours. Someone walked us into the room and explained all the rules even though only half the group had arrived. You can download an app to control which songs to put on next if you do not want to flip through the book they have there. You must ask for the wifi password before you can download the app. The man who kept coming in to refill our water and take empty plates out was very attentive. I had no problem with the service during the karaoke portion of the night. We got a passion fruit soju bowl (8/10- probably would not get this again), melona cocktail, high noons (which come in orders of 4, 8,10) , and fried mandu. Both the vegetable and meat mandu were good. I actually preferred the vegetable mandu more. The sauce it came with was also very good. At times, the bathroom like got long because there are only 2 bathrooms. We walked past the very cozy bar section and had to leave for an hour because the barbecue section was so fully booked. (There's a cute brewery across the street) Fast forward, one hour later, we were seated at our table. Everything is very open. One thing that surprised me was they only had ginger ale.For dinner, we got pajeon, which is a pancake with garlic and chives. Everyone enjoyed this and we eventually ordered a second one. For BBQ, we got galbi, pork belly, shrimp, and an order of mushroom. Surprisingly, the mushroom order came with a variety of mushrooms and was my favorite thing that night. Our waitress came by the table to see if we wanted anything before the kitchen closed. I also appreciated her telling us to be careful when she was switching the hot BBQ plates. The banchan was "bottomless", but if was hard to get a refill. We got a brownie sundae for my friend's birthday and it smelled very good. It was served in a hot plate to warm the brownie, so the wax actually melted too. We wanted to surprise my friend, but the waitress came by and asked if we wanted any desserts besides the surprise cake. Overall, it was a good place to celebrate a birthday, the food was good, but some things could be improved upon."

Yes it's large, and can be noisy, but the energy is flowing and it's a great vibe inside. Fourth, they do have a few really good specialty cocktails. I want to give a special shout out to the hostess Jean. She is very talented at handling large crowds with grace and charm. She is one of the best hosts / hostesses in the city that I've dealt with. Sandy D. "If you're looking for a quick dinner spot in 8th Ave, Dun Huang fits the bill! Emphasis on the quick. Not even 3 minutes in, our food came. You can customize the noodle type, but I got the regular lol. Regardless of the dish being labeled spicy, you can ask the workers to lower the spiciness which I appreciate. Some stores are hard set on their spice level. My Braised Beef Sirloin Noodle ($9.50) was not shabby at all! I didn't know how much I missed Lanzhou style noodles until I had this. The spice was right at my tolerance, and the broth was so flavorful! The noodles were also rightly soft and had good pull. The meat was sort of dry, but not a deal breaker. The Stewed Pork Burger ($4.25) was sadly small, but tasted great! The smell reminded me of soup from home, but the actual taste was not as pungent. The meat wedged between bao really warms the heart, although I do wish there was just a tad more flavor. You know a spot is authentically Chinese when they have C-pop hits playing. They didn't check up on us to refill our water, but they sure knew when to drop the bill. Nonetheless, they seem to be very clean, and still give out disposable utensils. With the attention to cleanliness, comfortable ambiance and great food, I'd totally come back whenever I am craving some noodles!"

Kathy Z. "Hiyake omakase aka gyu ichiro on bowery was honestly terrible. My coworkers stumbled upon their post about $49 AYCE japanese bbq and sushi and was intrigued. To further entice customers to come, they offer free lobsters for those who share their restaurant links on wechat. We made reservations on father's day for a party of 15. They seated us at different tables, but they were fairly close to each other so that was fine. There is a 2 hour limit for AYCE and it is completely server-free to order. There is an ipad at every table and you can pick whatever you want and submit it to the kitchen. Even though it was fathers day, it was not too busy within the restaurant. We started looking through the menu via the ipad and to our demise, the options were scarce. The beef options include about 8 different types of cuts and there were only a couple of items per section. We decided to order one of each to see which cut of meat we would like best. The order was placed and the first round of items came out nice and quick. We obviously wanted the free lobsters too, so we posted their link on out wechats. To our disappointment, they made our entire party of 15 post on wechat and later told us there were no more lobsters left. Instead, we had to settle for raw oysters. The oysters were not good at all. It was fishy and had a lot of dirt in the oysters. When we placed our order for the 2nd and 3rd rounds, this is where things started to spiral way down hill. About half of the order we placed never came and the sushi we ordered took way too long to come. Most of their sashimi were not fresh- they were fishy! It takes the workers a while to change your grills and to get the orders out. You would assume that the service would be way quicker being that we order our own meals via the ipad. Orders were either mixed up or forgotten. Our meals after tax and tip came out to be about $70 per person. Save your money and go to gyu kaku instead. They have premium meats, more food selections, and better customer for a cheaper price!!!"

It was a delicious concoction of abalone (tasted like octopus or squid) with Chinese leeks (crisp with mild flavor) and other vegetables, sprinkled with dried fish. Also tasty were the minced pork with eggplant and the Sichuan roasted duck. Prices aren't cheap but portions are massive, so we had leftovers to bring home. I liked the rich broth paired with the Hong Kong style noodles. The duck also had the subtle sweetness to it although some parts were not super tender. I didn't care much for the vegetables in the dish. It was a solid noodle soup.Overall, not a bad eat at all especially if you're in the area. Being truthfully honest, I enjoyed all the skewers because I cannot get enough of their sauce which was smoky, savory, and sweet.
