"Wow! Love BBQ is amazing!! I booked a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner here. Upon arrival my party was seated right away with no waiting which was great. We ordered the Chefs combo which included Prime ribeye, marinated galbi (short rib), beef brisket (chadol), pork belly and we opted for the kimchee jigae (kimchee stew) as our included side. In addition, we also ordered japchae and a steamed egg. When the cuts of meat came out on the serving board it didn't look like a whole lot of meat but it was more than enough. We ended up having to take some food home with us. The steamed egg was so delicious! One of the best I've ever had. It was topped with TRUFFLE pieces that had so much flavor and heightened the flavor of the egg. Wow! The japchae had so much flavorful meat in it. Also, one of the best I've had. All the meat was so flavorful, tender and juicy. Our waiter didn't leave our table and cooked all the meat for us which was amazing. Also, I love the grills they use here as it has ventilation built into the side walls of the grill so you don't have to worry about smelling like grilled meat when you're done. Overall, I highly recommend LOVE BBQ. You will not be disappointed. They tend to get packed from Friday through the weekend so I highly recommend making a reservation. I can't wait to go back!"

"As a fellow Korean from Los Angeles, I have to say, my girlfriend (who used to live in NYC) insisted we check out this place for their gopchang and daechang. She wasn't wrong--it did not disappoint. In fact, it was probably the best gopchang and daechang I've ever had! The ambiance is super cute, making it a perfect spot for casual drinks and great food. Highly recommend this place, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in NYC. Thank you, 곱창이아기!!"
"Service was fabulous & food was very good. We had shrimp, pork, chicken breast, chicken thighs, & vegetables. Other than the meat, limited gluten free options. There is no gluten free salad dressing & no tamari soy sauce. All sauces are not gluten free as well."
"I came here for my birthday dinner and loved every moment of the hyun-makase experience! My favorite was the cut Wagyu, and the kimchiAmbiance: zen decor, cozy, soft lighting, includes more private tables divided by curtains and also booth seatingService: our server was very knowledgeable about the different cuts of Wagyu and gave us recommendations to pair the fresh cuts with the bread and kimchi. Our server also cooked the meat for us and got us more banchan throughout the mealFood:Unmarinated Wagyu cuts: so tender, fatty and melt in your mouth delicious! I loved every cut and enjoyed pairing it with the bread soaked in the Wagyu meat fat renderings Marinated Wagyu cuts: flavorful and sweet! These come in a close second to the unmarinated cuts for me. I enjoyed wrapping these in the lettuce with a bit of the scallion salad.Birthday chocolate dessert: I wasn't expecting a birthday dessert! The dessert seemed to be a frozen mousse in the shape of a cloud. This was rich, chocolaty and delicious This was a wonderful experience! This meal was pretty rich so I'll probs be coming here for only special occasions."
"Once the elevator doors open you are immediately greeted by a very sophisticated environment. The lighting is very warm and cozy, while also being very clean and well kept. The service was very quick and the staff grills the meat for you. They grilled the ribeye to a perfect medium rare and it was absolutely delicious. The side dishes were a great compliment to the meat and not too overpowering. They give you a complimentary vanilla ice cream with mango jam on top to end the meal, which was fantastic. Highly recommend if you can book a spot!"
"Yummy cocktails and a good selection of beers and ciders. The food is also pretty decent. The burgers are a solid option, but the fries is a must. The Belgium style fries are perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and always nicely salted. Pair them along with some of their sauces/aioli's and you got yourself the perfect snack to go with your beverages. The brunch options are pretty standard and made well! The staff is always super friendly and quick with service."
"WOW this Korean BBQ experience did not disappoint! I came here earlier this month with 3 other people. We booked a reservation and were seated promptly with the banchan already set up before we were seated - loved that! We ordered the large portion of the Ahgassi Combo (with soft tofu soup), fried dumplings, and cold buckwheat noodles and shared everything between the 4 of us. My highlight was the marinated short rib! I also ordered a Yuzu iced tea - flavorful but REALLY sweet. The staff was amazing and very diligent about refilling our banchans and water. The vents are adjustable over the grill so that the restaurant doesn't smell at all. I also love that they change out the kind of grill based on the kind of meat they're cooking for you!I'd totally come back here one day! Highly recommend it :)"
"Amazing food and great service. Everything I had was outstanding. Can't wait to go back."
"Best burger in Red Hook. Always hooked to the perfect temperature, good fries, great seasonal salads, and really good wings. Friendly service, all the locals frequent here. Good price, cash only. Well behaved dogs allowed in the backyard."
"Sappe is a really great spot all around...I highly recommend it. First, the food is really good, very creative, and perfectly spiced and seasoned. Second, prices are quite reasonable for what you get. Third the restaurant is very cute and is usually buzzing with a great crowd. Yes it's large, and can be noisy, but the energy is flowing and it's a great vibe inside. Fourth, they do have a few really good specialty cocktails. I want to give a special shout out to the hostess Jean. She is very talented at handling large crowds with grace and charm. She is one of the best hosts / hostesses in the city that I've dealt with. Very pleasant. Thank you for all you do Jean.Overall, if you want fun atmosphere and great food Sappe is a great choice."
"If you're looking for a good bbq meats spot, look no further. Hay hay has a good selection of meats from roast duck, scallion chicken, roast pig, roast pork, cuttlefish, and the list goes on.When coming in for lunch, expect a long line. I often call ahead to place the order so I can walk right in to grab my food. There is counter seating inside if you're looking to sit down for a quick bite.My go-to is the two meats with roast duck and roast pig on rice noodles over soup. Their soup broth is so rich and tasty, really hits the spot on a cold winter day. Their beef brisket with daikon over rice is also really good. Be sure to pair your meal with one of their cold HK milk teas in a bag!Cash only! Unless you place an order for pick up through Uber eats."

if you have never done Korean bbq you are missing out. LOVE is an awesome place I have been too several times. we ordered the all you can eat ribeye special which was really cool, but unlike normal service, the don't cook the all you can eat for you.sounds easy enough but I would have paid one of the servers to do it next time. flavors are excellent, service is on point. Just go.

I've always walked by Tofu Tofu, but never paid too much attention to it since I'm more of a BCD fan. Came for an early lunch recently though, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the banchan and soondubu here! It's so conveniently located in Chinatown too, which makes it nice for those who don't wish to trek uptown for a piping hot bowl of stew.I ordered the mixed soondubu (spicy), and the toppings were quite plentiful. The broth itself was flavorful too, but I wouldn't say that the spiceness quite matched what I was expecting. I would say the spicy level here is almost the equivalent of medium at BCD; extra spicy would probably be best for those who enjoy the spicy level at BCD. 5 banchan dishes were provided - the kimchi and cucumber pickles were my favorite. The only other note I'd add is, I wish they provided the egg to add tableside instead of having it already added to the stew. I usually prefer a more runny yolk, whereas the egg was already pretty cooked by the time it arrived at the table.Pricing is comparable; lunch pricing is super reasonable though. Cash and card are both accepted.

I am not a big fan of intestine. However, Gopchang story changed my perspective. I absolutely love their beef intestine after trying it, super fatty and did not have the typical smell from cooked beef organ. Their other dishes were top notch as well, fried pork belly and beef brisket soup. It's a bit on the pricer side, however.

authentically Japanese and straightforward Shabu Shabu. Everything was of nice quality for a reasonable price. the sauces were good and came with the traditional toppings. The free ice cream was actually so good and they served us a comforting hojicha with dessert. Pretty great for $50 per person including tip.Store is cozy and clean, and the wait staff were efficient.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hyun during a visit to New York for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, though the space is quite small. The service, however, was exceptional--our server took the time to introduce each cut of meat and even cooked it for us at the table. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the side dishes complemented the fatty cuts perfectly. The server was also very enthusiastic about recommending additional sides, particularly the cold noodles, which turned out to be a great addition to balance the richness of the meat. That said, the meal came with a hefty price tag--sparkling water, for instance, was around $10. There's also a 90-minute time limit to all you can eat, and while the cooking and serving processes are thorough, they aren't exactly fast. The meat itself, though delicious at first, is quite fatty, and after the third serving, we found ourselves needing the sides to break up the richness. As a result, you might find yourself limited in how much you can eat, as you won't be consuming pounds of meat during the allotted time. While I did feel satisfied within the 90 minutes, I also felt like we needed to order more to get the most value for the experience. To be completely honest I was a bit sick of the fatty meat after 3 rounds. Overall, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The day after, my partner experienced a stomach issue, likely due to not being accustomed to the rich, fatty meat. I enjoy A5 wagyu, but I likely won't opt for an all-you-can-eat experience again. Due to the cost, time constraints, and the heavy nature of the meal, I likely won't return again.

After experiencing Nubiani, I can't imagine going back to AYCE Korean BBQ. The meat quality here is exceptional, with stunning marbling, tenderness, and freshness.I ordered the small beef package ($150), which includes a choice between ribeye or short ribs, rib fingers, skirt steak, and seasoned short ribs. I chose the ribeye to enjoy a wider variety of cuts. The package also comes with a choice of stew (kimchi or soybean), along with complimentary fluffy egg and banchan. To top it off, everyone receives a free dessert--a delightful soft serve with citron jam.The beef tartare was an impressive portion, incredibly tender, sweet, and with a hint of umami. It paired perfectly with the sliced pears and raw egg yolk. At $25, it was more than generous and could easily serve four people. The service was attentive and respectful. The servers at the counter thoughtfully recommended the best sauce pairings for each cut of meat, mixed our beef tartare, and served our soybean stew in individual bowls. For a relaxed and upscale Korean BBQ experience, I highly recommend Nubiani! The counter seating offered a more tranquil atmosphere, away from the restaurant's hustle and bustle. Be sure to make a reservation in advance!

My friend who lives in the hood loves coming here. I have been here previously and thought well of the place. Today it was lackluster in all respects. We were served with filthy glasses that contained lipstick stains from a former patron. We asked for new glasses and we received new (slightly less) but still dirty glasses. Service was not friendly and very very slow. The food was lackluster and nothing memorable about our brunch. The food wasn't bad per se, but the long wait times, disappointing service, dirty glasses and minimal effort from staff really left a bad taste for me. It's a definite pass in coming here again.

Came here on a weekday after work with a group of 6, and we were seated within 30 minutes. We got the Ahgassi combo, along with the steamed egg, yogurt soju cocktail, and seafood pancake. The seafood pancake and the marinated short rib were crowd favorites! Overall pretty solid spot!

"Closed Mondays & TuesdaysReally nice place to celebrate a birthday. We came here with a group of 8 and got a karaoke room for two hours. Someone walked us into the room and explained all the rules even though only half the group had arrived. You can download an app to control which songs to put on next if you do not want to flip through the book they have there. You must ask for the wifi password before you can download the app. The man who kept coming in to refill our water and take empty plates out was very attentive. I had no problem with the service during the karaoke portion of the night. We got a passion fruit soju bowl (8/10- probably would not get this again), melona cocktail, high noons (which come in orders of 4, 8,10) , and fried mandu. Both the vegetable and meat mandu were good. I actually preferred the vegetable mandu more. The sauce it came with was also very good. At times, the bathroom like got long because there are only 2 bathrooms. We walked past the very cozy bar section and had to leave for an hour because the barbecue section was so fully booked. (There's a cute brewery across the street) Fast forward, one hour later, we were seated at our table. Everything is very open. One thing that surprised me was they only had ginger ale.For dinner, we got pajeon, which is a pancake with garlic and chives. Everyone enjoyed this and we eventually ordered a second one. For BBQ, we got galbi, pork belly, shrimp, and an order of mushroom. Surprisingly, the mushroom order came with a variety of mushrooms and was my favorite thing that night. Our waitress came by the table to see if we wanted anything before the kitchen closed. I also appreciated her telling us to be careful when she was switching the hot BBQ plates. The banchan was "bottomless", but if was hard to get a refill. We got a brownie sundae for my friend's birthday and it smelled very good. It was served in a hot plate to warm the brownie, so the wax actually melted too. We wanted to surprise my friend, but the waitress came by and asked if we wanted any desserts besides the surprise cake. Overall, it was a good place to celebrate a birthday, the food was good, but some things could be improved upon."
"This was my second visit to this restaurant and we ordered the BBQ skewers, hot pot and grilled fish buffet which also included drinks and appetizers. The buffet format made for an enjoyable meal and my friends and I all thought it tasted good. The staff's service was also excellent, very diligent in replacing plates and tidying up trash. Located on a busy street in Chinatown, it was very easy to find.$50/person (all expenses included)"
"Lots of people were waiting to be seated at Lucky 8 when we arrived around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night but we were seated faster than I anticipated. Service is typical for Chinese restaurants and hot tea and sugary peanuts were waiting for us on the table. We ordered the "pride of lucky 8" - definitely don't miss out on this dish. It was a delicious concoction of abalone (tasted like octopus or squid) with Chinese leeks (crisp with mild flavor) and other vegetables, sprinkled with dried fish. Also tasty were the minced pork with eggplant and the Sichuan roasted duck. Prices aren't cheap but portions are massive, so we had leftovers to bring home. The Brooklyn Chinatown has a very different feel than the one in Manhattan so I recommend exploring a bit either before or after dinner at Lucky 8!"
"This place was open on thanksgiving! We were a party of 5 who came around 8 pm. We were able to eat in and got lucky with a table that sat us just fine. They were so friendly and also gave us a sample of pastrami. The pastrami was soft and very yummy. The sandwich was juicy and tasted good. Our favorite was the cholent! It was so hearty, had a big chunk of beef, and comforting. The yapchik was salty and a bit too dry. We added ketchup to cut the saltiness. Overall, cool spot and good experience."
"Genuinely not bad at all for a Times Square eat. I feel like the food near Times Square is always overpriced and not great but Dim Sum Sam was actually quite good. We got here for a weekday dinner and we were able to get a table quickly after placing our order.I ordered the Roast Duck Noodle Soup and it was quite good. I liked the rich broth paired with the Hong Kong style noodles. The duck also had the subtle sweetness to it although some parts were not super tender. I didn't care much for the vegetables in the dish. It was a solid noodle soup.Overall, not a bad eat at all especially if you're in the area. Something I thought was weird was that they placed a NYC sales tax on all the food which I feel like I haven't seen elsewhere. It seemed to be the same type of tax that you would get for buying clothes."
"I just love this place so much!! The food is amazing and I order from here at least 2x a week!! The burger, the fries, shrimp and tenders ALWAYS!!! ....... These negative reviews about the burger being "raw" is a lie.... They cook them MEDIUM WELL so that it stays juicy! A well done burger would dry it out!!! Always ask for ketchup and garlic sauce on your fries!!!"
"Great to-go place. The food was fairly good. I would say their specialty is duck overall. The soup dumplings were a 6/10, pork chives dumplings 8.5/10, shrimp dumpling 9/10, and roasted duck dumpling 7/10. I have mixed reviews if the food but service was immaculate and the layout is super cute for seating. The bbq duck noodle soup was very sweet. The broth was good but got cold easily. I would give this place a 3.75, not too bad."
"Atti was a nice place for a fancier meal with friends or a date night. The chefs selected four cuts was more than enough for our group of three, we weren't able to finish all of the side dishes. We added the shrimp mandu as an appetizer which was excellent and crispy and not at all what we expected. The servers grill and cut the meat for you so it's a relaxing place to have high quality koran barbeque."
"We ordered the short ribs and beef ribs with Mac & cheese, and collard greens! It was amazing! It came with cornbread and I'm pretty sure i noticed it was sweetened with blueberries which was a pleasant surprise. We actually just finished our left overs yesterday. Best spot in NY"
"We stopped by Hometown before an event and I completely enjoyed trying the : - Jerk Rib Tips - Brisket Queso (w Tortilla Chips) .I didn't expect to like this spot as much as I did. I even went back for their Korean sticky ribs (not pictured) after the event. .The summer beer on tap was delicious (I forgot the name) and there is plenty of lovely outdoor and indoor seating..They do run out of food by the early evening but they have lots of ribs by closing .Super friendly staff and helpful with bringing food to the table and suggesting what sides go with the meats .I love getting recommendations and fully loving the food!"
"Omar's lives up to the ratings as the staff was friendly upon welcoming us to the establishment. He greeted us warmly and quickly made a table for us to sit. My partner and I got the lamb Adana pita and chicken shawarma pita, respectively. Oh boyyyyy, was it filled with juicy meat and veggies. Each table had extra sauce for you to put in it and it was amazing. I'm missing it right now as I'm typing this. The chicken shawarma was juicy with flavor and seasoned well and the lamb had a kick to it. There was so much meat it spilled into the salad which was like an extra side meal! They also gave us baklava which was a wonderful touch and that was also delicious and flaky. There is a small amount of tables but we went around 2pm so it wasn't too busy. I definitely recommend having lunch here if you're visiting the World Trade Center! Excuse the lackluster photo, I was starving and forgot to take a nicer one with all the sauces spilled into it."
"If you're looking for a quick dinner spot in 8th Ave, Dun Huang fits the bill! Emphasis on the quick. Not even 3 minutes in, our food came. You can customize the noodle type, but I got the regular lol. Regardless of the dish being labeled spicy, you can ask the workers to lower the spiciness which I appreciate. Some stores are hard set on their spice level. My Braised Beef Sirloin Noodle ($9.50) was not shabby at all! I didn't know how much I missed Lanzhou style noodles until I had this. The spice was right at my tolerance, and the broth was so flavorful! The noodles were also rightly soft and had good pull. The meat was sort of dry, but not a deal breaker. The Stewed Pork Burger ($4.25) was sadly small, but tasted great! The smell reminded me of soup from home, but the actual taste was not as pungent. The meat wedged between bao really warms the heart, although I do wish there was just a tad more flavor. You know a spot is authentically Chinese when they have C-pop hits playing. They didn't check up on us to refill our water, but they sure knew when to drop the bill. Nonetheless, they seem to be very clean, and still give out disposable utensils. With the attention to cleanliness, comfortable ambiance and great food, I'd totally come back whenever I am craving some noodles!"
"First time for Korean barbecue. We could not have picked a better restaurant . We ordered Peach Soju( not my thing) It's the food that captured my taste buds . We ordered Neorangnarne signature menu for two. Lots of food , lots of meat, lots of sides. All incredibly delicious and flavorful. Cooked directly in front of you which I absolutely loved. We enjoyed the beef, short, ribs, ribeye shoulder . With some delicious sides of pumpkins, onion, sweet potatoes, grilled peppers, mushrooms, cucumbers, pickled radish, kimchi and some cucumber wraps. Make sure when you head out to this restaurant you are nice and hungry, because they will feed you.... The quality of the meat was everything. Putting it all together with the sides was such a fun way to dine. We highly recommend that you go and then go again."
"Classic local soul food spot. Good for catering. Lots of choices to choose from. Fried Fish is made fresh to order. Good spot to go to for a soul food fix. It's take out-not a sit in restaurant. Go in, pick your entree and sides which are on display for choosing and take it out. Very reasonable pricing for catering as well."
"I have been here on several occasions and I've always found the brisket and ribs to be very good. It is really flavorful and amazing! Other items on their menu tend to fluctuate in terms of how good they are. For example, their side of beans with burnt ends used to be one of my favorites here - really smoky and hearty, however, when I got this dish yesterday, it was very watery and tasted more like a bean soup. Their cornbread is generally not very good - not flavorful and hard. The fried oreos tend to be really good - but only if you get them fresh, not for delivery/takeout. The actual restaurant is fairly small (but does have a BBQ vibe) and service can be somewhat slow, so if you are planning on taking out I would highly recommend ordering in advance. One thing that's a little frustrating is they only allow you to order meats in .5 lbs servings, which is not only a lot of food, but is very expensive at this place. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant for the brisket and ribs but be prepared to spend a lot of money."
"*** 3.5 stars ***A bit slow but otherwise a good spot to pick up lunch. I tried the Bibimbap Rice Bowl with spicy chicken which wasn't really spicy but was otherwise flavorful. Probably not somewhere I'd go for a sit-down dinner, but does the trick for a pick-up lunch spot."
"I love this place. Good Turkey wings, curry chicken, rice & peas, chicken soup, red pea soup (their stew peas is great but I can't get it anymore bcs chicken feet scare the hell out of me)."
"One of my favorite little places when you are craving some good whitening fish, you must stop here!! The Blvd. always puts there foot in there cooking!! I love the fact that when you order the fish it's made to order so it's never just sitting there, it's always crispy and fresh!! The flavors of the fish is simply juicy and flavored to perfection!! My favorite side I typically get is the collard greens!! Which just by itself you can get full off of!! The macaroni and cheese is good as well.. If your craving some soul food/ comfort food this is a must try spot!!"
"Last year, my buddy and I went here for yakiniku which was near the hotel that we were staying at. We got the A5 wagyu nakaochi kalbi, regular kalbi(boneless short rib), tontoro(pork neck), chicken marinated with salt, Goma sesame salad, yakinori(toasted seaweed), atsugiri(thick cut beef tongue), and assorted namul. We were thoroughly impressed by the A5 wagyu nakaochi kalbi. The portion was generous and the quality of the meat was exceptional. The meat pretty much melted in our mouths!Other meat cuts were pretty good as well. The decor was very nice and service was good. Definitely will be back for more A5!"
"If you are looking for a savory, hot, late-night snack, Simons BBQ is the perfect spot. I came here around 11 pm and was seated immediately after they checked vaccination cards. Their menu was extensive, offering a large variety of meats and vegetables. We ended up ordering about 30 sticks, including the bbq beef, squid tentacles, rice cakes, fish tofu, bacon and mushroom, and squid body. We also got the sweet potato and eggplant, which were both delicious. I especially liked the eggplant because of the bbq sauce they dressed it with and it was grilled to perfection. Being truthfully honest, I enjoyed all the skewers because I cannot get enough of their sauce which was smoky, savory, and sweet. My favorite had to be the beef skewers because of how juicy the meat was and was not dry at all. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area because i can order a couple skewers as a small snack or a lot to fill me up as a meal. Also, the food comes out relatively fast, so it is convenient if you're really hungry. Overall, I really recommend trying this place out if you have never tried Chinese bbq before."
"Finally fast traditional Korean chain is here ! Authentic Korean, quality ingredients and taste great, not overly sweet like some Americanized places. I tried the spicy squid, and I was not expecting much honestly but seasoning was spot on, not too spicy about too sweet, tender squid and generous amount. Honestly for the price the quality and taste was such a steal!! If this place was next to my office or home, would be perfect to go to kill Korean cravings. They were playing oldies Korean lol which was cute. They also give you small snack with your order or good old tiny yogurt drink, you know what I mean if you been to korean restaurant. Ordered bibimbap bowl and banchans were generous, great variety and the egg on top had perfect runny yolk. Will definitely mark this chain throughout the city, and will try other locations."
"Amazing skewers place with incredibly flavorful and juicy skewers!!!! Went here after bouldering with some buddies and we ordered a loooot of skewers. The service was super quick, first batch of skewers came within 10 mins. Love the chill cozy vibes of the place. Filled with great seasoning and MSG!"
"Great for a late night snack. Since the pandemic they have both indoor and outdoor dining. They have skewers, noodles, appetizers and some desserts. I usually get their beef noodle soup. My only complain is that the noodle is not consistent most of the time. Sometimes the noodles is overcook, undercook, too much cooking whine. I still order it since just skewers won't full me up. They also smoothies on their menu but they are all syrup.I like how convenient Mr Q is and is definitely one of my midnight snack option."
