"Came here a couple times in the past few weeks, each time I got there late afternoon/early evening so their famous mochi balls were sold out already but I got a couple of the Chinese pastries with a flaky exterior and lotus seed or red bean paste filling. Was very pleased with these, the flaky pastry was perfectly reminiscent of the ones I grew up eating, with a shell that is light and slightly savory and a bit on the drier side to complement the generous amount of filling inside. Their moon cakes also look good, and though I haven't had the occasion to buy an entire moon cake yet, I plan to try these in the future. As others have mentioned this is an old school spot so don't expect much in terms of decor. The space itself is pretty good-sized for a bakery, with a few larger round tables set up with chairs, though due to covid I haven't seen more than a couple other people in the shop around late afternoon time. That being said I thought the service is pretty cordial, no frills but sufficiently pleasant. Covid-relevant notes: Staff wears masks and pastries are handled tongs and placed directly into wax paper baggies. All the pastries are inside glass pastry displays and a clear plastic tarp between the display and the ceiling is set up to run most of the distance above the display cases."
"I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast before heading out so I decided to stop by Lassen & Hennigs for a bite to eat. This family owned business has been in operation since 1949. They have baked goods and soups galore. I ordered an egg sandwich on a roll and it was really good. I'm glad that I decided to give them a try."

"This Japanese bakery was a safe haven for me back when I worked in FiDi. They have a wonderful assortment of pastries and are famous for all things matcha. The matcha crepe is delicious, with the bitterness of the matcha powder perfectly complementing the cool cream and red beans layered within the roll. Their sweet items are always perfectly sweet for me, not over the top and tooth-achingly so.Their savory items are also stellar. I especially love the California sandwich, which is essentially a California roll in sandwich form, with imitation crab meat, avocado, and masago mayo. Simple yet tasty and comforting. Big fan of their delicious beef curry pastries as well."
"I love this place. Good Turkey wings, curry chicken, rice & peas, chicken soup, red pea soup (their stew peas is great but I can't get it anymore bcs chicken feet scare the hell out of me)."
"This is one of my go-to places to get frozen dumplings! This Chinese bakery does have food you can order and eat here, where I have only gotten a small items here and there such as Egg Tarts and Sesame Balls which as good, however my main goal of coming here is always for getting their frozen items! When you enter Go Believe, on the right side there are freezers that have a variety of frozen items to choose from such as different types of dumplings and buns. For people that would want to prepare these types of items at home, this is a great place to stock up on them! Also, if you do not see an item in the large tall freezers, make sure you also check the chest freezers next to them, as they will also have a bunch of frozen items inside.I specifically look to get dumplings, which when I prepare them at home are delicious! The ones I get come in bags of 50 dumplings. The dumpling skins are made well and hold up to being frozen and subsequently prepared. The type of dumplings I like to get are the chicken & mushroom and pork & chive. Finally, if possible, look to pay with cash as a discount would apply there! The last time I got dumplings I paid $27 for 100 dumplings"
"The food we got was delicious and the peanut punch is outta this world. My only complaint and hope this helps them improve is the bones in their jerk chicken sandwich. Instead of fully enjoying the sandwich, I spent most of my time fishing out the bones. This wouldn't be ideal if you're on the go and wanted a quick bite. Nonetheless, food is still delicious and made to order and the ladies behind the counter are sweethearts. There are two locations, this one on Hillside and the other on Liberty Ave. both locations you must double park unless you're lucky to find parking right there. Order ahead to make it easier."
"Charming little sandwich shop in Brooklyn! The menu holds a great selection of sandwiches and more. You're guaranteed to find something to your liking. They were so sweet to me as I was deciding what to try. They let me sample a piece of their grilled chicken and the broccoli rabe - while giving me some recommendations from the menu. The grilled chicken was well season and cooked perfectly. The Broccoli rabe was pretty good. I ended up getting a chicken parm hero for my son and a chicken club on a roll for myself. I placed my order to go. My son and I enjoyed the sandwiches at home. The chicken cutlets were so fresh, with the perfect crispiness. I really enjoyed the garlic aioli and the sauce ithe chicken parm was pretty good too! The sandwiches were made to order and it didn't take long for them to be made. It gave me enough time to take a walk around the store and explore the store. I decided to try a peach juice that I saw in their refrigerator. It was a semi sweet, light juice consistency - I placed it in a glass with ice and hit the spot."
"A super cute bakery! There's not much seating, just a small bench in the front corner and two tables, maybe fits 4-5 people? Delicious coffee and bakery! I asked the cashier and it's a chain from Vietnam! The coffee is very strong Vietnamese coffee and with the Pandan cream foam, super flavorful cream!I got the coconut Pandan sticky rice and holy- it's has such flavorful coconut cream and the sticky rice was so flavorful! It is pretty pricey, $16 for it but shared between two people it's very filling and worth it :)"
"Wow everything here is amazing. Don't be intimidated by the line! It looks long but moves fast. We waited 30 minutes in line on a holiday Friday around 10:30am. They still had a great selection of pastries and lunch sandwiches just started coming out. It's pretty small inside with a few counter seats and some tables on the sidewalk. We got the earl grey morning bun, sesame scallion twist, maple sausage sage roll, triple chocolate croissant, tuna sandwich on sesame baguette and prosciutto burrata basil sandwich on focaccia which came out to $61. I never thought I'd spend that much at a bakery but I was blown away at how perfect everything was flavor and quality wise. I would go back again even earlier to try their breakfast items!"
"The food was amazing. We were celebrating our 24th anniversary, we have the KC strip steak. A couple of appetizers I strongly suggest the mushrooms. They were absolutely phenomenal."
"i take Supermoon Bakery for granted but YOU SHOULD NOT as it would plus up any neighborhood with its unique selection of eats. Supermoon Bakehouse is a Lower East Side bakery serving up a monthly menu of rotating baked treats. savory or sweet: croissants to focaccia pizza to doughnuts to baguette sandwiches to "cruffins." Supermoon makes its own gelato flavors. the space is basically the bakery (no seating) and the giant counter where all the pastries are on display. the interior is very clean to the eye and modern. tip 1: if you haven't been to Supermoon, always get any one of their unique doughnutstip 2: try the croissants. there are always multiple flavors. recently, i enjoyed the "Spicy NYC" (part of the November 2024 menu). savory delicate buttery croissant filled with a flavorful cream cheese. the croissant doesn't skimp on the cream cheese and its savory with a touch of hit. tip 3: the eclairs are under-appreciated. get one! tried the Key Lime Pie Eclair (part of the November 2024 menu). tastes just like a real Key Lime Pie. the eclair tastes real lime throughout. nice balance of tart and sweetness.tip 4: the focaccia pizza are low-key good. tried the Thanksgiving Stuffing focaccia pizza and tastes like your favorite TDay stuffing in the form of thick crust pizza. so good. and a slice is hefty. tip 5: items sell out here all the time. come early like in the morning when they open. your best bet is on a weekday. weekends are tough bc you're competing with locals and tourists. the staff are pleasant, don't rush you, and make visits here enjoyable,."
"This is my favorite place for patties in all of NYC. I've been coming here for years and I have never been let down. Their staff is always warm and service is always fast. All of the food is good here but the patties are my favorite. In general, I don't love how Jamaican food places run out of patties after a certain time. It really breaks my hungry heart. I really wish I could get Jamaican patties at all times of day, especially around dinner time."

My mom has been buying moon cakes from here every year for the longest time. They're consistent with the quality and offer many traditional flavors. You get to mix and match (4 per box) or you can buy individually. As for their non -moon cake products... they don't have many bread/pastry variety, unless it's just like that during mooncake season

When I lived in Brooklyn Heights Larsen was the place to go to purchase cakes and sandwiches. Back in the day the markets were sparse in the Heights; Dagostinos and Key Food were the main draw. Lassen filled the void from those markets.. however at a price.I always found Lassen to be overpriced and still is.My friend and I stopped by after dinner to grab a mini treat.I bought a mini Hostess cupcake for $2 which I hate to say was tasteless and dry so not worth the cheat. They bakery display looks good but have to wonder how great are the rest of the options. The price gauging is really in effect for a plastic container with 4 pieces of rugelach for $9.99. Sandwich prices start at $12(?) I'm unsure if Apartment 4 F which took over Connecticut Muffin's space is giving Lassen a run for their money. The nearby Starbucks closes early so maybe Lassen is benefiting from that?Either way, Brooklyn Heights deserves better.

I like bakeries. And this one has really yummy snacks, miso almond cookie, and custard pudding. Recently I discovered their cappuccino to be very delicious and melon puree(bread?).Close to where I am five days a week and quiet seatings, lots of options, w one bathroom. The kitchen is open so you can see the bakers. The cashiers are friendly. They sell hot food and soups. And also juices homemade in to go cups ready.

This Caribbean spot is close to where I now live and has been on my list to try. I finally got the chance to order take out from here on my way home one night and ordered quite a variety. The place was pretty busy, but I still felt like the staff had time for me and made sure I was taken care of.I decided to get the curry shrimp meal ($15) and asked for it to have no spice (since I have low tolerance to spiciness). Thankfully, since the shrimp dish is cooked to order, they were able to accommodate my request. I selected the sides of rice and peas, as well as plantains. I also picked a few small menu items: Fried chicken ($2), beef patty ($2.75), and chocolate cake ($4.50). In total, everything totaled around $24. NOTE: This may seem like a lot of food, but I didn't eat it all in one setting. There was plenty of shrimp and they were cooked perfectly - Wonderfully tender, nicely seasoned, and delicious! Served with the rice and peas were a medley of colorful vegetables including carrots, broccoli, onion, green peppers. The rice was just the right consistency and worked really well with the veggies, which were crunchy, fresh, and full of flavor. I loved how hearty the meal was. The only thing I was disappointed about was that there were only 2 plantains included. I thought there would be much more. They were amazing... Slightly sweet, and soft while not being mushy.I was given 2 fried chicken pieces, which were so incredibly crispy with succulent, juicy white meat, and so flavorful! The beef patty was pretty large. It was decent with plenty of beef inside with many warm seasonings. The outside shell was flaky and crumbly.I enjoyed the chocolate cake, especially the rich dark chocolate frosting, which was silky, creamy, and luscious. This was probably my favorite part. I definitely could have had more of that delectable frosting! The chocolate cake was delightfully moist and there was a lighter chocolate mousse in between the 2 layers. Simply mouthwatering!Service is friendly and competent. I like that the menu is fairly extensive. I would certainly return to try more!

Hmm, how to review this place? It's such a mixed bag.... We've been purchasing buns and dumplings from Go Believe for ages. The large steamed buns in the fridge, sold in packs of six, are nice and fluffy even when reheated in the microwave for 45 seconds. (For the record, I never like to nuke bread products, but it works for steamed buns.) The bready part is oddly sweet and flavored with artificial vanillin, however, which I personally don't love, particularly not with the savory fillings we tend to go for. The smaller pork buns that come eight to a package are more traditional and are NOT made with sweet bread. We very much prefer the latter. Buns are reasonably well filled, including the roast pork variety. Unfortunately, the roast pork is dyed a suspicious color of red, a wee bit gristly, and sweeter than we find enjoyable. We don't do artificial food dyes, so will have to avoid this one in the future. The frozen dumplings are fair, with skins a touch thicker than we like, but generally well wrapped and sealed so that in most cases, the filling stays inside during and after cooking. They're not as thick as the dumplings at say, Prosperity Dumplings (King Dumplings as it's now called), or Vanessa's, which I know are plenty popular. Perhaps it's a stylistic preference, but to us, thick skins read as crude and clumsy, made without care. Go Believe's dumplings are not perfect by our metrics, but doable. Fillings are juicy and delicious across the board. I tried the egg cheung fun ("rice rolls" made with very wide, steamed rice noodles) on a recent visit. They are freshly made to order. Although mine had almost no egg in it (I know we're in the middle of a nation-wide egg shortage here, so it's hard to get too upset), the very silky, tender cheung fun was truly excellent. Sauces can be found in sticky bottles at one of the two sticky tables at the back on the ground floor. The most significant reason why I don't think I can go with a full five stars: It's chaotic at the counter and they sort of operate on a first come, first served basis..... unless you don't speak the dialect spoken by the counter folks, in which case they will studiously ignore you forever. (This has been the case for the last decade, not just a recent phenomenon, and evidently happens to others as well, so it's not just b/c they don't like my face! Though that would be understandable, too.)

Rounding up to 3.5 Stars because of the great customer service!I recently participated in a virtual Yelp event where Sybil's owner/baker, Ken Bernard, demonstrated how their Coconut Drops are made. Well, those Coconut Drops looked so good that I just had to come to Sybil's for the real thing. (Also, I was just too lazy to make my own lol).It was well worth the trek to Sybils because those Coconut Drops were delicious! Great coconut flavors; toasty on the outside and billowy soft on the inside. They sell these Coconut Drops with or without raisins. I opted for the ones with raisins. (3 for $2.50). They also offer these in loaf form. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased a loaf. Next time!Sybil's has so much to offer! They have an array of baked goods, as well as pre-cooked food (kept hot in a steam table). We tried a variety of items but sadly, not everything was "great". I definitely enjoyed their baked goods more than their hot entrees, but I would be willing to give them another try if I'm in the neighborhood. Here are the other items we tried:- Guyanese Beef Patties: completely different from Jamaican beef patties, which they also sell. These were very small @ $1.95 each and were just ok. Mild flavors; didn't wow me.- Goat Curry: a large order is $16.50 This dish looked and smelled delicious. However, the meat was not tender and probably should have been simmered for a much longer time. Flavors were good but I had to recook this dish to tenderize the meat.- Oxtail: a large order is $23.00 Ditto to my above comment about the goat curry. The meat needed to be simmered for a longer time.- Sybil's Tennis Rolls (6 pcs): these were complimentary (thanks!), since my order came out to $100. These rolls didn't look like anything special but wow, they were terrific! They were slightly sweet, dense yet soft, and delicious. What a nice surprise!Overall, the baked goods were the obvious winners on this trip to Sybil's. Needless to say, the meats were disappointing. Customer service was excellent! Friendly and accommodating. I really appreciated how they packed all the hot entree containers in individual plastic baggies, so that if anything leaked, it wouldn't make a mess.

My friends and I were thinking to meet at 10AM for this store's grand opening on Sunday. We both got there 15 minutes earlier and another customer joined us 1 minute later. We watched the employees set up the display case as they got ready to open for the day. One of the employees gave us a small cup of hot tea to keep us warm.It would have been easier if a menu was available online or paper or screen so we could have pre-selected the item we wanted. This would have been easier for the employees and us so we didn't have so much pressure knowing there was a long line behind us. I ordered:Scallion Sausage Bun - savory - this was my favorite. Butter Garlic Cream Cheese Bun - loved the garlic flavored.Matcha Bun - definitely has a lot of matcha flavor. Taro, Pistacho, Salty Egg Bun - which were good. Coconut Pandan Sticky Rice - the toasted coconut flakes on top enhanced the layers of cake and sticky rice cream.Tiramisu - was on point with the strong Vietnamese coffee.Coffees: Traditional Vietnamese Coffee and Coconut Coffee were strong, which was good.Think we tried too many creamy items that we are creamed out by the end of the meal. Go try for yourself.

"What a delightful addition to our neighborhood. The sandwiches are tasty and well curated. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. The bread is amazing. Good people making good food."
"No nonsense, what do you want, hot plate plates and fresh bread.I wanted some Caribbean/Jamaican food so Jamaica was the destination. After a failed visit to Bad Mon, we went to Kassim's Bakery for hunger-satisfying oxtail and duck curry. For sides we had greens and okra. One thing to be said, nothing was missing spice. The roti had a grain inside that reminded us of crushed boiled egg yolks or ground split peas (googled). Excited for the patties I got to-go."
"there were a bunch of customers waiting for their orders when we arrived at around noon. i was really excited to order the mushreuben but was informed that it had been discontinued, to my dismay. i ended up ordering the chickpea crunch wrap instead, which was pretty good. it took about ~15 minutes for them to prepare my order, and we were told to wait outside as the shop is quite small.i don't have much to say about the wrap besides that it was well put together and i think its nice that edith's offers a healthier and also i believe vegan option for those who may have dietary restrictions or want a healthier option. i also got the totkes which were very crispy and delicious with the dips. i'm still sad that the mushreuben was discontinued because it looked delicious but i was pretty happy with the chickpea crunch wrap."
"A few friends and I dined here last Saturday. The restaurant was very packed and we had to wait outside a bit before being seen by a hostess. Upon entry, the inside of the restaurant was gorgeous! The lighting was very moody and had a romantic feel. We waited an eternity to be seated because the party before us stayed way past their reservation time. We were offered champagne while we waited which was nice. After awhile, the wait became ridiculous. The hostess did speak to the party but they were in no rush to leave. In my opinion, it is the responsibility of the restaurant to ensure reservations are upheld and to enforce the time limit as necessary. I understand not wanting to upset any customers but it was downright ridiculous that we waited 45+ minutes to be seated especially since the time limit was repeatedly sent to us via text upon reservation. Once we were seated, the rest of the evening was smooth sailing. Alfredo was our server and was very friendly. We ordered the cacio e Pepe and branzino. We all enjoyed our dishes and would return to try others! Despite a rocky start to our evening, we still enjoyed our visit to Lume and would return in the future."
"I love that there is a cafe that specializes in sponge cakes. My friends and I stopped by Spongies Cafe this past Saturday afternoon to enjoy some sponge cakes. The interior is on the smaller side with a few small tables that fit less than 10 customers. They also sell coffee and tea to compliment the sponge cakes. It's 1.50 per sponge cake, which is great pricing! The three of us shared four sponge cakes: Thai tea, purple yam, black sesame, and pandan. Overall, each sponge cake was super soft with a cloud-like texture. Our favorite was the pandan because its flavors was pretty prominent -- a strong vanilla, coconutty flavor with some coconut (?) bits mixed in. The black sesame cake was also pretty delicious, but it was kind of odd to have something nutty and crunchy mixed in the soft, sponge texture. The purple yam one was good, but the flavors were a bit too gentle. The Thai tea one just tasted like sugar, and if I was blindfolded, I wouldn't be able to tell that it was Thai tea.Pretty chill cafe with good sponge cake options. Would love to try other flavors in the future and get the pandan one again! I could eat a sponge cake from Spongies everyday for breakfast with my coffee."
"I'm giving C & J 5 stars based on my recent Uber eats order. Everything was packed neatly and my food arrived in good timing.I ordered a large jerk pork with a side of their famous macaroni salad that they are known for. The jerk pork was really good. It had a good jerk flavor and some nice juicy portions of pork. Slightly too much bone for my liking but all in all still very good! The macaroni salad is also really tasty and was packaged separately which was great since I don't like cold and hot foods mixed."
"I came back a 2nd time & tried their other items: 1) morning glory scone, 2) sesame mochi ball with coconut mung bean, 3) thai tea chiffon cake, 4) ca phe chiffon cake. The morning glory scone & sesame mochi ball w/ coconut mung bean was soo delicious! I would reorder these 2 next time again! The thai tea chiffon cake & ca phe chiffon cake were good, but not as amazing as the pandan chiffon cake. If you like coffee, the ca phe chiffon cake would be recommended. The thai tea chiffon cake was ok, probably the weakest in taste.Got the lime drip coffee again - so delicious!"
"A Christmas party without a yule log is incomplete. Among the numerous yule log options in NYC, I chose Lady Wong's chestnut Bûche de Noël. Lady Wong is a patisserie celebrating Southeast Asian flavors. Their cakes are artfully blended with French techniques and aesthetics. I always appreciate the elegant design of their cakes. *Chestnut Bûche de Noël $69.88This yule log was a beautiful work of art. It looked elegant with the edible snowflake candies and velvety cream piping. Under the thick and creamy vanilla mousse, it revealed a delicate center of chestnut filling and earl grey compote. Underneath it was a crunchy chestnut biscuit. I wished the it had a higher ratio of chestnut cremeux, but overall the flavors were unique and harmonious altogether. Sadly this cake is no longer available, but make sure to keep an eye of their seasonal drops."
"To me, Raf's baked goods are one of the best in NYC. The quality of their food is consistent. Their pastries always impress me. My top picks are their candied orange almond croissant and canelé. *Seasonal Peach GaletteMy favorite item in this haul The glazed peach is sweet and juicy. The crushed nuts on top adds more tecture to the tart. The crust of the galette is buttery. Perfect in every way. *CaneléA classic french dessert, yet it is difficult to find a good canelé in NYC. Their canelé has the perfect crunchy outer and pudding-like interior after I reheat it in the oven. *Asparagus and Goat Cheese DanishSadly this is my least favorite as I dislike goat cheese. The danish part is perfectly flaky as always. However, the goat cheese is too pungent and overpowering that I have to give up after first bite. My bf enjoys this pastry though."
"I sometimes have felt that the croissants in New York are better than in Paris. The same cannot be said of NYC's baguettes, which are universally subpar.Until La Bicyclette that is. Their baguettes are of the highest caliber, and they even have Beurre de Baratte and other French butters available so that you have all the makings of a perfect weekend breakfast. For the weekdays, their croissants are also superb."
"I work near this location in Jamaica ave, I come in for lunch maybe once or twice a month and get a large jerk chicken with rice and peas. The large or is to save for dinner. However the consistency is not the same with all servers. The service is good, but you need to know that it's make your order and go. It's a standard Jamaica flavors spot, and will keep coming back"
"Egg tarts!! Super cute little bakery. Service is great and most importantly, the bakery goods are yummy and fairly priced. 1. Egg tarts: perfect texture that melts in your mouth! It's so hard to find good egg tarts and this made it! 5/5 stars I've2. Coconut cream bun & pork floss bun: both buns were so soft! Only thing is, I fish they didn't skip out on cream for both of them. 4/5 stars I'veI definitely recommend and will be back for the tarts! xD"
"Worth the hype if you're in the area! Came around 10:30 on a Sunday and waited about 20 minutes in line. They were still stocked with all the pastries but some favorites like the cinnamon bun were running low. All the croissants we tried (almond, pistachio rose) were so flaky and yummy. Their cinnamon bun is amazing. And the cookie was a hit too. This place is so cute and there's seating upstairs and on the street. Will be back!"
"Delicious and well run business. Been three times and there's always a friendly face. The chicken patty is very moist and delicious. Highly reccomend."
"Really nice cozy cafe with standard bakery fare and other unique options. Their BEC croissant is fantastic - croissant is super flaky and soft, with thick cut bacon and fluffy eggs to match. My husband really likes their breakfast egg sandwich (poached egg). They have a nice quaint seating area towards the back - not a whole ton of room for a stroller but you can squeeze one toward the very back if available! I can't wait to try more of their menu next time."
"Food was great. Service was to the point. And the place itself is super confusing. Is it sit down ? Service? A bit unclear. I had to ask. Then there's wine and beer and coffee in the daytime. Decor is very much in between a cafe and fancy restaurant. Which is obviously quite drastic which causes my confusion. You see bus boys brining the food out to the front, to allow the person running the front to bring to the tables. Why not have the bussers bring the food to the tables. Seems silly the cashiers are doing multiple jobs."
"I LOVE this place. Service is always fast & friendly. They have a great variety of premade items to grab on your rush to catch the Q train or made to order items. Everything is always super fresh and tasty, and they seem to focus on healthy, nutritious lunch items (for other girlies here who wish there was a Sweetgreen in Flatbush). The pastries are always super fresh and they sell yesterday's bakes for $2 (an absolute steal). There is some very limited seating inside and it's a chill, relaxed vibe for a lunch or breakfast stop. They also have lavender syrup, which I could jump for joy about as it's been impossible to find an oat milk lavender latte around here. Their coffee is very tasty too. This place is my go-to treat."
"Ok place to come for a quick snack to go. I usually get the meat patties which are decent and just a little spicy. Jerk chicken patty has a bit of a kick. The staff is always friendly as well and prices are super cheap. It's no place fancy but if you just want something quick to go, this place will do."
"Needed some caffeine, and found this spot on Church Ave, I did want to say usually when you step into a coffee shop, the aroma of fresh brew uplifts your senses. However, here I didn't get the exact vibes. I ordered a large Hot Brew with a shot of French Vanilla, and the Barista was alright and left some room for cream n sugar.I was looking over their pastries as I see they had an open bakery toward the back, however they didn't looked appetizing as it appeared really dry. I just want to say if your going to charge $5+ for a cup of coffee put some kick into your beans at least guys, I would say it's time to level up your coffee bean game."
"As soon as you walk into Elbow Bread, you're greeted by the pleasant smell of freshly baked pastries and bread. Everything I tried was tasty and well-made. The only thing I'd suggest is expanding the drink menu a bit as I felt like there weren't too many unique options. The service is standard, friendly and efficient. Note that the space inside is small but overall, it's a solid spot for anyone looking for fresh bread and pastries!"
"Not too sweet, very big portion. Long wait but very quick service. If youre planning to go, try to join waiting list via Yelp, while you walk to the restaurant.. you'll be notified when your table is ready. Busy area, people dine after watching a broadway play. Ambiance is loud and people are there to have fun and chat."
"Love me some doubles, especially from A&A. On weekends, this place is buzzing - a mix of locals and food fanatics from other boroughs venturing over to have a bite.People are always super nice (not just the people who work here, but all their regular patrons). Sometimes you might see a queue, but line moves fast. Doubles here are perfect - a punch of spice, and the perfect mix of heat/tartness/sweetness. They are ridiculously cheap and super filling. After leaving Brooklyn for Texas, Trini food is one of the cuisines I have missed the most - and whenever I am back in town I always make it a point to stop by A&A. This place never disappoints!"
"Tik Tok influenced me to check this spot out. I'm sick of you social media, lol. I kept seeing rave reviews about their cinnamon rolls which i love so I just had to see what the hype was about, lol. I stopped by one early morning and it was already crowded. I didn't mind because it gave me a little time to check things out. Ooohh and the smells as soon as you walk in you gain about three pounds. lol. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They have a few seats to sit and enjoy your pastries. Decisions, decisions and decisions i really wish I had a friend with me so they could've ordered some stuff and I could taste more. However, I played it safe and ordere the infamous cinnamon roll and the banana bread loaf. I tried a piece of the cinnamon roll in my car and said ok it's good. However, once I got home and settled and made my hot tea and warmed that bad boy up for a few seconds in the microwave I truly appreciated how delicious the roll was. It's very sweet and all the flavors are yummy. I only ate half and saved the rest for later in the day. The roll was still soft and delicious. Definitely a 10/10The following day I ate my banana loaf and it was good and moist. I like that it was light and didn't feel as heavy as the cinnamon roll. However, that roll was top notch. I'd give it a 8/10 which isn't bad.I definitely look forward to returning to this spot for another cinnamon roll and to check out some other menu items."
