"In the mood for pub food, then this is a place for you. On this very cold January Monday, we were looking for good pub food with a relaxed, chill vibe. And upon entry I knew my fellow Yelpers had not let us down. Good food, good service & a good NYC Irish pub. My fish n' chips were fresh and yummy; I would have liked it if it were a wee bit crispier but the freshness of the fish made it worth my while; my husband's burger was huge and delicious but messy...lol! Coupled with a Sam Adams pint beer, the meals were satisfying and complete."
"Came here with my mom and daughter for brunch. Mom had the pastrami Benedict-ish which was amazing (it had onion jam too!), my daughter had the kids scrambled eggs with bacon and tater tots, and I had the eggs in hell. Everything was very tasty, servers were very attentive, and they had great coffee. I'd definitely come back!"

"I hit up Brennan and Carr and Roll N Roaster on the same day to compare their roast beef sandwiches. I had a better dining experience here, though I do think RNR has a slightly better sandwich. Came on a Sunday afternoon and sat inside (though you can also order at the window). I tried the roast beef sandwich, onion rings and blueberry pie. The onion rings were actually the standout, but everything was honestly great. Awesome service, too. This place is like stepping into a time capsule. They've also got a parking lot!"
"Great food and good atmosphere on Time Square! I had the grill cheese sandwich and the bread was so tasty"
"AMAZING FOOD!! it's amazing how you can watch them make your delicious food on the grill. They make everything from scratch and fresh!! Which makes everything better. The service is great they're very attentive and patient. It's a nice old vibe in there such as back in the days. Your good ol local burger spot. The burgers were great, my grilled sandwich was superb I've never had it like this before! The wings were superb super spicy and tasteful"
"I've got nothing but positive vibes for this joint! We've eaten inside and had delivery and I can promise you, they food is always great and consistent. Staff is friendly and chill!I get the Juicy Lucy (my fav) and their fries....oh their fries! You can add blue cheese "dressing" that is to DIE for!!!! Ask for extra ketchup if you do delivery! The food is legit and they do offer up some tasty beer/cider too!"
"Great ambiance, not super quiet but comfortable. I had the apple pancake and it was outstanding. Also had an espresso martini with mint that was delicious. They say they close at 3pm but I think we sat with a friend until almost 5pm and only were asked to bounce because they needed to bus our table before the dinner reservations rolled in. Will definitely go back, these guys are awesome."
"Happy New Year 2025!! Back for our annual visit ..... last year fell on a Monday ( closed ). Still prefer to original on Mcdougall for the intimate/ never modified space."
"I enjoyed this place for lunch on Sa, that I went back again on Mon for lunch as well.Had the tomato and mozzarella salad, and for me, it was perfect.I had the filet mignon au pouve from the lunch menu both times and it was perfectly prepared. Atmosphere nice. Staff exceptional. Food fantastic."
"I had the fish tacos and they were fantastic! Service was super friendly. It's really dark in there (as you can see from my photos - one is lightened and one is normal), but it's definitely a place will cool vibes!"
"Came to Dram Shop Bar during Restaurant Week and it was pretty good. I saw some reviews and was a little hesitant to come, but decided to try it out anyway and I'm glad that we did. It's seems like it's a chill, neighborhood bar. There's the bar area, tables, high top tables, and big booths. The booths can fit 6-8 people comfortably. The Restaurant Week deal came with a drink, 1st course, 2nd course, and a dessert. For the drink I chose Pinot Grigio which was pretty tasty. The 1st course was the wings for me, then I ordered fish and chips for the 2nd course. I wanted to try the sweet and spicy soy ginger wings but I was scared. Someone tell me how they are!! I couldn't find anyone writing about them in the reviews and the server wasn't convincing so I kept it safe with the BBQ. The BBQ was really good!! Well done, tender, and just enough sauce. The fish and chips were good too. The catfish came out piping hot and with remoulade sauce. The remoulade was just ok. Flavor was light, but it had a hint of spice. I don't like spicy so it was doable for me. For dessert, I ordered the brownie. The brownie was good and hot but I wish it would have come with ice cream. It came with whipped cream instead. Stole some of my friend's ice cream because she got the apple pie and that came with ice cream. Overall I enjoyed my meal. The service was good. He was very cool and accommodating. There was a pool table in the back and multiple bathrooms downstairs. Cool spot."
"Came here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but we were able to get a table. We got the espresso martinis and they were so so good. They have chocolate shavings on them and it was honestly one of the better martinis that I've had.Beware that if this place is crowded, it does get pretty loud but it's definitely more of a chill sit down, kind of vibe and not a dancing around type of place !"

Looking for a last minute lunch spot & we ended up here, no rsvp necessary & if you arrive before your party they will sit you. Drinks, we kept it simple with Coke, Sprite & Ginger ale, not bad. On the appetizers , we had Mozzarella sticks they were very good , good size & really good Mac & cheese bites. I had the Grilled chicken sandwich comes with fries the apples in the sandwich surprised me? Only because I am not a huge fan of fruit in the food all depends of course but it worked well with this sandwich it was very tasty. Friends had Grilled Cheese & Buffalo chicken burger, they both enjoyed their sandwich. Small location , decent bar area upfront seating towards the back a bit small but it was good.Although our waitress didn't ask if we wanted drink refills, seemed like she was alone , service overall was not bad. Decent price, we enjoyed our lunch.

A perfectly clean and nice space to go if you need to meet someone close to Penn station for some reason, which I did and was happy to have a place where we weren't rushed. Made reservations online but prolly didn't need them. The food was fine, nothing too memorable. The interior was dark but still cool like an old school restaurant and we had a comfy booth. The service was solicitous without being overbearing and they let us linger and talk for a while. Comfortable clean and neat Penn station - if those are your requirements come here. The bathroom is a bit far away - down the stairs and in the hotel but a clean bathroom near Penn station is great!

Classic, (very) old school Brooklyn institution noted primarily for its roast beef sandwiches. The sandwiches are thick and nice--roast beef a little overcooked for my general taste, but I know that is intentional and in this case is acceptable, as you are here for the sauce. And baby, they've got sauce. In fact, I'd strongly recommend ordering an extra beef broth soup for extra dipping flavor--not to slight the sandwich, but the gravy is succulent, and truly makes the sandwich. And if ordering two soups doesn't seem weird, throw in a cup of their stellar clam chowder as well. Other offerings are hit and miss--enough solid hits, as we enjoyed the onion rings and corn fritters, but did find the fries pretty bland and undercooked. But come on, you're most likely hear for that savory, dripping with gravy roast beef. In fact, my girlfriend went off script and ordered a burger, which was ok, but then of course came creeping on me for my sandwich. This isn't the place to go off script!Service is old school New York--gruff, perhaps a bit impatient... off-putting most other places, but feels in keeping with the vintage vibe here. A classic Brooklyn "must" that is well worth going out of your way (if you're not nearby) to experience and check off your list if you have not yet.

I will be dreaming about the chicken chilaquiles until I can get them again. If I pass before that please lay me to rest on a bed of those house made chips and green tomatillo salsa. We came for breakfast without a reservation and had no trouble grabbing a table on a Wednesday morning around 9 AM. I was torn between the Shakshuka and chicken chilaquiles but the waitress advised the shakshuka had a bit of a kick and I was nervous. It would be too spicy for me. My dish had a bit of a pop to it. I'm getting it next time. I also ordered a single pancake because I need something sweet to balance out the salty spicy. The pancake was a tad on the dry side and was very thick. The syrup is very thin so they did not do it for me. I am glad I had ordered salty as my main dish. Our server was accommodating and friendly, and kept our coffee filled. This restaurant is located in the Edison hotel in Midtown. There is another restaurant also located in the hotel called Bond 45. Compared to each other's breakfast I preferred Friedmans.

Was in the neighborhood and wanted to see who had the best burgers. Bonnie's pop up as on of the good ones in the area, so the family and I stopped in for a bite. It was very chill atmosphere the waitress was nice and sat us right away. Very chill vibe. Love a good diner vibe. The menu was short and to the point. In order the western burger and some wings. The burger was huge but it was really delicious, I was surprised I finished it all. I thought the wings were ok. I'm a wing fanatic so when I saw previous review hyping the wings in was sold. Flavor on the wings were good. Just wish they were fried a little bit more. But my experience here was great!

This place is addicting!Especially if you are living in New York and are a native Chicagoan. This Deep dish pizza is 98% like Chicago deep dish Pizza!I absolutely absolutely love Emmett's.One thing I have to say I don't like and it's not Emmett's fault is Uber delivery. don't ever order a pizza using Uber delivery because literally the last 5 times I've ordered pizza from them. The pizza looked a mess when I received it. I still ate it. One time I couldn't eat it because it was literally upside down. So it's better to pick it up or eat there.I believe the owners originally from Chicago and that's why they've got this down to a science .If you would love a real treat Emmett's is the place for deep dish pizza! One thing be prepared to wait . the lines are always very long.I look forward to one day Emmett's opening an actual bigger restaurant with full service.

"I admittedly do not have my black belt in restaurant etiquette, but being directly asked to leave after 2 hours at the table just felt kind of wrong to me.I was here with 3 coworkers on a Sunday for brunch, and we were in the midst of an all-time gossip/vent session when our waitress came up and said she needed the table. We were just sitting there chopping it up for like 30 minutes after the corpses of our shared Chocolate Chip Pancakes and my Mediterranean Bowl got cleared from the table and I could see the waitress trying to get us out of there with her eyes ahahaha.2 hours is a lot so I do get it, but at the same time I don't get it. Part of what I'm paying for is the time to enjoy sitting there, letting my food settle and talking to whoever I'm eating with, not looking up at the clock to see how much longer I have until I need to leave. I don't know, I'm always open to constructive criticism. I'm not letting it reflect in the rating because I normally don't sit at a place for 2 hours.Outside of asked-to-leave-the-table gate, this place is delightful. A warm and cozy vibe that one could expect in Southwest Michigan, or "Swishigan" as the locals call it. A classic American brunch spot with huge portions and solid pancakes which is honestly harder to come by in NYC than you'd think. Really makes you wonder........My big homie showed up late and teetering that ever-so-fine line of being hungover/still drunk, so the Bloody Mary cured him. He was drinking that thing like it was water ahahaha. He also had a fit on that you would never catch him in at work... Corduroy pants?!?! Okay we see you big homie...Also, I just need to mention I'm blessed to have 3 coworkers who I like enough to see outside of working hours. GOD DID!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__"
"FOOD: I didn't try any "food", though I will say they had a pretty large menu. From breakfast delights to dinner, they seemed to offer a little bit of everything. I did order cheesecake and a hot chocolate, and my Judez ordered hot chocolate and key lime. My cheesecake was delicious btw... as long as the cocoa. SERVICE: Fast. Accurate. Polite. Nothing more, nothing less. AMBIANCE: If you're from NYC, then it's just a typical diner. This one is off 42nd and 6th I think. So, midtown, Times Square (just not IN Times Square, which is obviously a good thing). If you're not from NYC, just imagine what you'd think a diner in the city is like; it's like that. I really liked it. Cheesecake was good and hot cocoa was too. Close enough to Times Square and Broadway without being RIGHT on it. Neat little diner. Fast service. Decent prices (actually on the cheap side as far as other places in the city go, which is a good thing). Good food. Big menu. Open late."
"I've been dining at Joe Allen since the early 1970's, and keep coming back because of its genuine warmth and friendliness, and the reliably good food. It's not gourmet, but I've always enjoyed tasty, well prepared, generous servings of a good variety of American fare. There's no better burger in town, and the Steaks, pot roast, fish, soups and salads are always good. The banana cream pie is a pillowy mountain of delight. It's always packed pre theater, and reservations can be hard to come by at peak hours. but you can often snag a seat at the bar, which is convivial and totally cool. It's long time owner died a few years ago, but Joe Allen lives and prospers. For me, it's the essence of New York."
"The Harold is a charming little gem tucked next to a picturesque park in NYC. From the moment I walked in, the cozy, small-town Christmas vibe wrapped me in warmth. The decor was inviting, with a touch of nostalgia that made it feel like a hidden retreat from the city's hustle. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I ordered the vanilla bean French toast and a cappuccino, and both were absolutely delicious. It was the perfect combination for a relaxed morning. If you're looking for a quaint spot to unwind with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, The Harold is definitely worth a visit. I was able to be seated without a reservation within 10 minutes!"
"Hanbat is the number 1 Korean restaurant in Korea Town. It is authentic and also the only restaurant in Korea Town to offer seaweed soup. The food and the service is very consistent."
"This bar was really really really great find of an establishment in NYC. It a very historical location in lower NYC. It's a friendly environment to have some drinks and surprisingly the food was really good. I had a piece of salmon over salad, which was actually really delicious. The salmon was made perfectly medium cooked that a I requested and placed on a lovely salad of micro greens, tomatoes and cucumber with vinaigrette dressing truly fresh. I had a ice coffee that was strong bold yes my favorite description of coffee, which I absolutely love"
"Seriously haven't been here in twenty years! My first encounter was my then boss took me to this place and bragged about the tomato soup.. she compared the soup to " tomatoes in vodka sauce". Was she right? Yep.As I continue to eat my through SoHo via my lunch break , I'm finding new gems and revisiting some old ones.So let's start with ..it's a Friday afternoon and I see outdoor tables with heaters. There is a stand that you wait near to be seated. The guy was very nice when I originally stated I can sit outdoors with a heater. He stated I think I have a table opening up inside. Two minutes later he escorts me to a cozy table near a window. First smile on my face..The place is packed from bar to dining room. The friendly waiter served me water and I ordered quickly. I wanted the tomato soup for sure and was going to pair it with a side salad but the chicken fingers stared at me in the menu ( this was going to be a cheat thus lunch/dinner combo). As I waited for my food, I did read the reviews about pricing and there are some disconnects like $18 for half a tuna melt or $20 for a full sandwich. Huh? My tomato soup was $9 for a cup $11 for a bowl. Etc. So , yes, there are some disconnects. As far as service, my waiter was terrific. Place was packed and he followed up with me to see that my soup was served and gave me a big smile "Enjoy". First sip, yep, tomato soup in vodka sauce and shredded cheese on the side. He then checked to see if my chicken arrived. Another big smile. He handled the bustle effortlessly. A pub is a pub..I have to say every pub I've visited from Spain to London to Chicago is bustling, the prices range from low to high ( if you're lucky to catch a happy hour). The food is what it is: mozzarella sticks, Croque Monsieur to burgers. After twenty years, the tomato soup dazzled me the same from my first taste. Will I come back, yes, because I can eat their tomato soup everyday. There are menu pricing disconnects for sure but it's up to the diner what she wants..."
"Yummy cocktails and a good selection of beers and ciders. The food is also pretty decent. The burgers are a solid option, but the fries is a must. The Belgium style fries are perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and always nicely salted. Pair them along with some of their sauces/aioli's and you got yourself the perfect snack to go with your beverages. The brunch options are pretty standard and made well! The staff is always super friendly and quick with service."
"We had a great experience at Andrew's this morning. We went with a group of 10 and were surprising one of our table mates. The place was very clean and tables were moving very quickly which is a rare find in the city. Davio was great about letting us call ahead for the larger party and he was expecting us when arrived. He was so personable and stopped by to wish our friend a happy birthday.Breakfast cocktails and our brunch orders came out quick. I enjoyed my corn beef hash and cheese omelette . The potato's were seasoned well and full of flavor. I got the multigrain toast and it was very thick and doughy just how I like it. Prices were very reasonable. I mentioned that to Davio and he said they worked hard to find a good price point for residents, workers and tourists. I think they do a great job in this area. Bookmarked this spot because I know I'll be returning!"
"Food was really good and it was pretty crowded as we had an 8pm show to make. The location is perfect if you're catching a broadway play/show. There was a bit of panic when we asked to look at the wine list- our waiter excused himself with the help of 2 others to locate wine menus in a cabinet. Not the most robust of lists but acceptable. The tuna appetizer was very good as were our main dishes. We split a couple of desserts which were surprisingly good. All in all, I'd definitely go back if I had a show to catch."
"Drinks were immediate, food was immediate, it was all delicious. I am so happy to have found this place. It is the Christmas season so I expected delays and long waits, but this was outstanding. The mini crab cakes were terrific and soft, full of flavor. The onion soup was top notch.Servers were great. I loved the music. Bathrooms were 3 single stalled rooms, and clean. Love this place."
"Cocktails. Yum. Great to sit at the bar and find your favorite faces. Service is accommodating and excellent. Will return."
"A true hidden gem because this place has a neighborhood bar kinda vibe but food is not supposed to taste as amazing as Foxy John's! I am still waiting for something on their menu to not like. Bang bang shrimp? SLAPS! Specially if you get it with the California Cobb! Boom you just tried two of their items. Also the flat iron steak and fries? DELICIOUS! Steak was cooked perfect and fries perfectly seasoned! General Tao's and white rice on the side and boom you have a full meal! Also when I do have drinks there the margaritas and drinks they make are always strong! Best neighborhood place to eat and drink for me!"
"On a random weekday afternoon, vibes chill and this pub is, oddly, extremely nice inside. The bathrooms? Top tier. I ordered the meatball sandwich, which came with cheese and pesto. I am a sucker for a good sandwich with pesto inside, and this was no different. I was honestly so shocked by how well constructed this sandwich was. Like, the bread was just crunchy enough to keep its shape with the meatballs inside but still soft enough that it didn't scratch the top of your mouth or anything while eating it. The only thing is that it was a bit dry, even with the pesto. I still gobbled this entire thing up, though. My friends and I came to yap, and I also appreciated that they let it happen (though the fact that they weren't that busy probably helped). Food was surprisingly good, and the menu touches on a lot of different dishes. There's definitely something for everyone. I'd come back!"
"This review is specific to brunch at Kittery. Kittery is my favorite brunch spot in the neighborhood! I don't understand why it's not packed and impossible to walk into since it really is the perfect spot: warm and attentive service, excellent food, and $1 oysters, clams and shrimp happy hour raw bar specials even on weekends for brunch! (Vs. another old time favorite I used to go to as my regular that charges $3.50 an oyster during brunch). They have a large, comfortable outdoor area which is partially covered and now that it's getting cold, they've enclosed it so you can still eat there or inside. I've sat in both areas and both are great. Inside is nicely renovated, tasteful decor. My boozy brunch order includes 2 Aperol Spritzes, classic eggs Benedict which comes with 2 sides so I get fries (Kittery fries or regular) and salad but of course I also start with 3 oysters from the raw bar! Voila! What more can you want in a brunch?"
"Ole reliable. Second visit to this sure thing spot. Jenna provided outstanding service. Served dinner with a smile. Amazing burger selection...there is no wrong choice. Always a hit!If you have a sweet tooth, wait until you try one of the amazing shakes. Quite creative. Music is on point. Hard to not enjoy the music while devouring your meal. Ambiance is cool for all ages."
"Stopped here for lunch during Christmas and New Year's. It was really busy but we were able to find 2 seats at the bar. There was only one member of staff working but she did a great job of serving so many people. We ordered the fish and chips, chicken club and a side of curry sauce. The food was delivered pretty quickly and everything tasted good. The curry sauce was slightly sweeter/fruitier than we are used to but it wasn't a bad version of UK curry sauce. There were a couple of football (soccer) games on and the bar was really buzzing on a Monday afternoon. A really fun spot to watch some sport and have some good pub food. We live locally and will definitely visit again."
"This is an old standby for a pre theater meal with traditional Irish fare and a small menu to meet most tastes. My highlight was the Mac and cheese, which is creamy and cheesy. I also got the truffle parm fries, which had a perfect truffle and cheesy flavor but they were pretty limp and crispy. Service was fine but not anything super special. However, if you are looking for a spot that is quieter, the top floor is a great place to grab a quicker bite."
"Incredible dinner and steak. Service is top notch and extremely attentive. While they have all the standard steakhouse favorites, they have some twists and really unique dishes that stands out with other steakhouses in NYC. Cannot go wrong here at all. The beef is absolutely out of this world. Had a double cut Chateau Briand, pasta and crab cake for appetizers. The restaurant itself is a vibe. A large bar area with music isolated away from a double floor sitting area."
"Party of three to celebrate a birthday. I reserved our table two weeks in advance out of excited anticipation. We were seated inside on the rooftop with nice views outside and a short travel distance from the bar. Dress code is business casual but everyone was dressed to impress. You should do the same. We started with drinks (I liked the smoky Blood Shot cocktail) and nibbled on the complimentary baked parmesan crackers. I ordered a few things so as to get a feel for the menu, and after a short wait, food began arriving. I opened with the Caesar salad, having heard good things. It is indeed a worthy salad, full of crunchy romaine, though the amount of dressing was a bit overzealous. In the future, I'll remember to order it on the side. Next, the filet mignon, medium-rare. The steaks are grilled with a thick char that locks in the juices and flavor. Fork and knife allowed me to easily slice off mouthwatering chunks of meat. I tried the house steak sauce, which is agreeable, but I preferred the steak by itself. On the side, onion rings and potato puree. The rings are housemade and delightful, not too thick or greasy, with genuine onion inside. The potato puree was buttery and blood-thickening, a rich pairing for any main course. I was tempted to also order the asparagus, but this was already A LOT of food, so I made do. The service was impeccable and my guests were similarly impressed with their experiences. Patroon is an excellent choice for special occasions, fancy-but-not-too-fancy get-togethers, marriage proposals, etc. It's a classy joint, so wear something dazzling, and tip well. For a walk on the lavish side, Patroon is the path."
"Interesting Diner in the Chelsea general area. A colleague recommended the place for a quick business lunch and it was a nice choice. Of course, it helps that the weather was simply perfect so the door was left open and the cool breeze made it feel really comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the food is ... to describe in one word: comfort food which is perfectly fine.We felt quite comfortable and had a chance to catch up on our conversation as it isn't too noisy either. Overall a good experience, if you find yourself in the area, by all means, dive in. It is totally worth it."
"Service was great! The Hollow Nickel was more than I expected and just what I was looking for. Whoever recommended the Penicillin was on point. The pub fare was tasty. I had expected their spicy burger to be more than a slow after-burn, but the jalapeno sauce had flavor. The fried pickles were good, but would recommend a different side.Although I visited solo and enjoyed the atmosphere, I recommend going with friends to enjoy the drinks and company."
"I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this local bar is. While the bar itself is typical with cozy vibes, it's the food that you need to try here. Plus, the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Aside from the drinks, we got some food. We ordered the Buffalo Wings ($13.95 for 10pcs) and Pizza Bread ($7.50). The pizza bread is good, but you need to eat this hot or else it gets a bit soggy. But the buffalo wings are so large and juicy here slathered in sauce. Definitely some of the best wings I have had."
