Brooklyn Moon Cafe

This is a cute little spot in downtown Brooklyn. Intimate, outdoor seating area and attentive staff. They can use more help because it can get popular after work. I only had the jerk chicken tacos and their signature drink. Very filling and delicious. I would definitely come back again.

An an amazing day... Me, my sister subhana and her Besty Sonia met up with old friends and new friends this evening. Live music, Hot, warm and then windy air made for an amazing afternoon and evening. Stephanie was the perfect hostess and bar back.

Came on a Saturday after an event in the city as a last minute thing, I'd say it was around 11 ish; it wasn't packed and I sat at the bar. The place isn't that big but it's cozy, if you want to come drink or get something to eat and not be bothered or if you want to do a first time date/Meet and greet to talk then it's good. I ordered the salmon with Mac n cheese, the salmon was good but the mac needs improvement; It looked and tasted like boxed man n cheese but not too bad. And for a drink I had the frozen strawberry I believe mixed with Pina colda and Wray n nephew; that was good. I went back the following day on mother's day and Jazz was playing, pretty mellow again, not packed. This time I ordered the jerk chicken taco and the fish taco; I was glad I could mix n match. The fish taco was good and the jerk chicken taco was also good; although a little dry. For a drink i saw some people drinking some green juice and decided to try it; it's called the swamp juice made with rum and other stuff I was told that's secret; its a pretty good drink. Again, This is a laid back type of place good for a first date, alone time, or to pregame. Food not too bad and the drinks are good. The whole block just seems to be low key honestly. And right near the train which is good.

In this interview, Robert Glasper mentions Brooklyn Moon as being a place where neo soul music started in the late 90s. I haven't been to this spot in years and I'm so glad I stopped by. BK Moon Cafe is mad vibes! Good food, good drinks, and good music!

I lived in the block took a morning walk saw the sign and thought Hmm that looks like a nice cute spot ...think I will go in see what they got! Early Am nice and peaceful can I get a menu 1st time here looked at the delicious teas and coffees. MmmmVibe very chill. Kept coming by ...Met Mike and ran it past him about the wow factor of a flo night with OPEN Mike He said the space was s factor I said Do Think about it something LIVE with Music. I am in the ATL yrs later and now I am hearing great and Beautiful things by social media. I am former Time WarnerFlushing Crew Can u remember? You just opened around that time.Man O Man So Proud Of You! I must take a trip back for you're first on the list. MuchRespect.

Great place so happy to find this while walking in the area, stopped in for drinks. Freindly server , attentive even with being busy , moderate prices. We enjoyed margaritas and sea water . Delicious, recommend a visit when in area .

Brunch for the first time at Brookiyn Moon... Quick, randomly ordered recap:---cute space---mimosas for $1.99 (meh)---long wait time for food (over 30 minutes and they weren't super crowded)---friendly service---no wait time for seating (2.30p on a Sunday)---NO A.C. (it was 90 degrees and they were relying on a breeze? I was sweating profusely to the point my pants were wet when I got up to leave).---Okay food. No real complaints; I just think I've come to the conclusion that "chicken and waffles" is overrated. (but I would go back and try other dishes.)---I hear their wings are delicious.

Def a Brooklyn staple. Can't say much more about it. I've always loved this place. Went there when I was in Brooklyn recently. Was going it an event but decided to grab a bite to eat before going. I had the fish sandwich. It was delicious. And I think the drink I had was called Sea water. Good as well. If you're ever downtown Brooklyn I'd check it out. Always great service. The manager is real cool and sociable. As well as the server. Go check it out.

This wonderful night we had in soul summit ended with the worse service ever. We arrived 9:31pm exact. There was 4 people,two of us order our meal before the waitress beasicallt ignored our request. She told us that she was putting in our orders , and she would be back momentarily.she came back at 9:59 to take the orders of our two other guest after trying to flag her down multiple times. She took our guest order then came back out 3 mins later and told us that the kitchens closed, and ask us did we still eat it to order drinks. we resentfully agreed,when the drink came out 10 mins later the ice was already melted and the drink tasted like apple sauce water. This was the literally the worse drink I've had in my life and one o the other guess agreed and concurred. When we made the issue known we were told by the other attendant/waitress/bartender that she was sorry but she didn't take the order. The most she collies do was apologize.1 out of 5Mr.B
