After a long day of work, I was welcomed at the Brooklyn Chop House by the soft sultry music + the warm smiles of the staff. My party was seated promptly and within minutes, our waiter Feliciano came over to introduce himself. Feliciano shared that it was NYC's Restaurant week so there was a special menu being offered. Our party of three each got a three course dinner for $60/pp -- can't beat that in the city! Appetizer:Impossible DumplingsVegetable lettuce wraps Chicken lettuce wraps Entrées Salt and pepper shrimp Beijing chicken Sides Broccoli and garlic Bok choy Vegetable fried rice Chicken fried rice Dessert Cheesecake Chocolate cake Chocolate ice cream CocktailsOld-fashioned with Uncle NearestThe lettuce wraps were really fresh. Great way to start our meal. The Beijing chicken SLAPS & the salt/pepper shrimp were fried to perfection. As always, the fried rice was tasty but I was really surprised (shouldn't have been) by how well seasoned the veggies were. by the tenders or hit the table, I was already full, but I took a bite of the chocolate cake anyway. it was so rich! Chocolate cake + vanilla bean ice cream = a good time! The bar has been set -- the level of service at the Brooklyn Chop House is exceptional!

It's worth mentioning that the first time I came here for a business dinner I was not impressed at all. I would have likely given it 3 stars. At that dinner we ordered a lot of the beef, steak and duck! None of which were appetizing. This time (restaurant week) I ordered the Beijing chicken and hands down the best item on the menu - in my opinion. The lettuce wraps are solid whether you get veggie or chicken. I had the chicken satay the first time I came and I wasn't a fan so I stayed clear of it this time. Although this time around I had a 5 star experience- it's really because I only ordered what I liked. Im giving it a 4 factoring in all the other menu items I am not a fan of from the first time around. As far as sweet tooth's go OMG not only the chocolate cake humongous it's so rich! The ice cream is fire and that cheesecake!!! Yeaaa they did that! It was gooooodttt

Went looking for a pre-show meal for 5:30. Made reservation (Open Table) and showed up on the dot. Took 15 min to get seated AFTER the 5 couples that came in after us (4 of the 5 with NO reservation). While the ambiance of the restaurant is chic, it is completely obliterated by the oversized screen (and multiple smaller ones) showing college basketball. REALLY?!The menu, in a word: CONFUSING!! And it seems to be solely oriented to all portions for two. Pretty presumptuous... Part of the confusion was there did not seem to be much cohesion to the food: chops, with weird Asian influence, meets dumplings?!? WTH?Quality was a miss: lousy cuts for the pork chops, and broccoli limp and over-garliqued,Waiter, Kevahn, was polite and did his best for us. He even got us "expedited" even as it took almost 40 min for food to arrive - almost missed the show...Not going back there....

Went here for a late-night bite & loved it! Nicely decorated interior, attentive service, and a lively DJ playing all the 90s jams that I love. Impressive cocktail menu & kind bartenders willing to get creative for special requests--I greatly appreciated their honoring of my dining companion's #ForSHE cocktail request. Excellent menu with a robust array of options designed to make many palates happy. I opted for the shrimp fried rice & it did not disappoint--well-seasoned, perfectly fried, and not lacking at all on shrimp. I look forward to future visits!

The venue is beautiful with modern decor, and it's much larger than their other location. However, I wasn't very impressed with the food. Most of the dishes were too salty (and I usually enjoy salt, so for me to say that is unusual). The waiter wasn't very personable and took a long time to check in with us. We had to flag someone else down to get the check, as we were on our way to a show. Given the many other amazing restaurants in the area, I'm not sure if I would return.

What am I missing? 5 star Yelp reviews for the food or ambiance? No. Just no.I have an out of towner with me. I told him NYC has some great steakhouses so on a whim, I suggested we try a famous one! It seems everyone in NYC is having their Holiday party and every well known steakhouse has no reservations. I check on Yelp and find Brooklyn Chop House with plenty of 5 star reviews. I made a reservation and walked 12 blocks to midtown.Once inside, I see a nice looking bar. I check in with the hostess and order two cocktails. Our table is called and we're quickly seated.I order my standard Steakhouse order:French Onion SoupBone in RibeyeCreamed SpinachI'm told they have onion dumplings soup. Ok, something different but I'm down to clown. It was interesting. Onion broth with wontons is how I'd best describe this dish. The $110 dollar 24oz bone in ribeye? C'mon, are you serious? The quality was something you'd get at a local supermarket. Marbling? No. I asked for medium rare and it came medium well. This was the weirdest steak I ever had in NYC. Commanding a price more than the 125+ year old steakhouses and it's a cheap meat cut? If you're thinking "Chop house" an expect a thick steak cut? You and I were sadly disappointed. And what's with the TVs?! Again, this is not throwing off steakhouse vibes. Is it chophouse vibes? My buddy wanted fried rice. In a steakhouse?! Is that also a chophouse thing? The entire evening left me thinking this overpriced and under performing meal might be good for out of state tourists. New Yorkers know better if they want a quality steak.Steer clear from this place if you're looking for a great steak. At Wolfgang's they tilt the plate and baste their steak like Peter Lugers. What's served to me was an expensive, underperforming steak.I'll never return.

It was my first night in New York here! In the Big Apple for the first time in life, and for our first meal we didn't go with pizza, we found the Brooklyn Chop House! You walk in and you think I may be under dressed for the vibe! It's like a nightclub, lounge, but also restaurant feel! At the top of the stairs I can only imagine was a social media influencer because she was posing and a camera man was just clicking away! But the type of atmosphere it was I'm sure her post didn't make it seem like she was at a restaurant!Anyway to the food! So I would make my first trip to New York coincide with my buddy and I doing a 30 day carnivore challenge! So I ordered the 18oz New York Strip and the Lobster Satay! Both items were really good the steak being so thick I felt needed to be basted in some butter for a little longer but overall it was good! The lobster satay was pretty good nice piece of lobster meat on a stick could've been worse!

I came to Brooklyn Chop House Times Square today with my family to celebrate my son's birthday and right away we were greeted by our amazing server Sanja who gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. The ambiance and the music were very upbeat and enjoyable. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. Would recommend to visit this restaurant and ask for Sanja to be your server to get the best Brooklyn Chop House experience.

Food was absolutely amazing 10/10. However, be sure to wait a while to be seated even when you have a reservation. We had a reservation for 6:30 PM and were not seated until around 7:10 (yes we arrived fairly on time and def within the 15 min grace period). The food made up for the mediocre service. 8/10 overall experience.
