Will come again. We went to Brooklyn Chophouse last night because my partner wanted steak and it was a recommendation by the front desk of our hotel. I'm gluten free so I called ahead to make a reservation and ask about my options. I was ensured that most of the menu could be gluten free. The ambience would be great for date night or a relaxing nicer meal with friends and family. The host Tamera was great and continued to be pleasant throughout the night. Our server was also very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. As the universe would have it everything I wanted could not be made gluten free which of course was a little disappointing after my call earlier that afternoon. However, what we ordered was good. Pac-Man dumplings were amazing -10/10Lamb -9/10 Filet mignon 7/10Soup dumpling 7/10 Fried Rice 7/10 Virgin Mojitos 9/10There were many other things we would love to try next time to update this review that we will do our next time in New York.

Totally overrated: popular with hypebeast crew and those who patronize Mr. Chow, Philippe Chow, etc.Asked for water while waiting, hostess said: "you can get it yourself from the bar" -- dirty bar, strong odor of disinfectant, not a classy vibe at all. Took forever and a day to get the bartender's attention, and it's physically a very tight space.Food is okay. It's just all right. Overpriced, but you'll know that going in. Tiny portions. Wouldn't hurt for them to be more generous with the meal sizes, since they're charging exorbitantly.NOT RECOMMENDED.

So this was my third time here and it will probably be my last unless someone is treating me. I was having a "bad" day and decided to treat myself to lunch. Quite frankly, it is overly expensive for Chinese food and rice served in a metal canteen. The lunch menu is limited. I paid $17 for CHICKEN wontons. I really didn't expect my bill to be as high as it was for lunch. Kudos to this business for finding a way to create an experience and bring Black owned. However, third time is the charm. I'm good. Y'all enjoy. The red velvet cake was delish tho

Manhattan during the week but Brooklyn on the weekends . Please Uber or walk up , the streets are narrow on Nassau . Otherwise , I sat at the bar . I sometimes think I'll get more efficient service. Which I did and it didn't go unnoticed. I had lamb chops that were cooked perfect but not seasoned as good as I have had before. The Spivey margarita was perfect . It was not too spicey which made it enjoyable. Ask the bartender can you taste the infused tequila prior (perks of sitting at the bar.)Stop in this dark intimate space and come hungry with good energy.

My friends and I reunited to celebrate a successful inspection with summer restaurant week. Service was quick and great. Ambiance was fun. Food was great and we had leftovers for the next day. We started off on lychee froze and white peach sangria. My friends enjoyed the lychee froze and I enjoyed my refreshing white peach sangria. We ordered the restaurant week menu. For the appetizer we ordered the Edamame Dumplings, chicken lettuce wrap and Cheeseburger Dumplings. All three dishes tasted good. For the entrees we ordered the Beijing Chicken, Filet Mignon Beef and Broccoli, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Vegetable Fried Rice and Bok Choy. All these had great flavors. Portions were generous. We took the leftovers home for lunch the next day. Finally for dessert the chef gave us red velvet cake, which was a little on the dry but sweet enough to mask the alcohol content consumed from our drinks. I'd definitely return for lunch and even happy hour.

The food was okay! I tried the spicy 9 seasoning shrimp and it was missing flavor. The shrimp fried rice was decent. The drinks were good but the service started off shaky. Towards the end the server staters treating us better after he overheard a conversation that I was having with the manager. (about where we were from). I was celebrating my birthday and the staff did bring out complimentary dessert.

Came for my boyfriend's birthday. We ordered a surplus of food since everything looked good. We came cause Fat Joe said on his show that this is the best restaurant in the city. We had a Mary J sav blanc, lovely. Philly cheesesteak dumpling are good, needed a little more cheese in my opinion. Chicken fried rice was delicious. Filet, amazing, Mashed potato's sooo yummy and my boyfriend loved some wonton bites we got. Not to mention, the service was top tier. They brought my boyfriend out a delicious red velvet cake for his birthday.

Came here on restaurant week. But the regular menu is available right off the bat too. The restaurant week menu was simple and easy to follow and order. Deciding appetizers for me was kinda hard, but I went for the chicken lettuce wrap last minute and it was actually really good. The chicken itself was minced and packed with flavor, which somehow when I think "lettuce wrap" I think it would be dry. But then the lettuce was big and it made a full taco vibe of chicken wrapped in it, its DIY and it came with hoisin sauce, i think, on the side. I'm actually shocked at myself for really liking the chicken lettuce diy wrap, it was very satisfying to eat and wrap. The other appetizers were edamame dumplings, which was fine, and the bacon cheeseburger dumplings, which were cheesy but alright. The fav of the table was ordering rock shrimp tempura off the regular menu, it was creamy and crispy, but my friend said the time square location had more sauce somehow. Anyway, the veg fried rice is pretty bland, but we asked for chili oil and it helped w the flavoring. The filet mignon w broccoli was just ok, but the broccoli was crunchy so I'm a fan. The beijing chicken was interesting bc it looked like potato cubes but the chicken was pulling meat away vertically in your mouth as you chew, identifying itself as chicken w the firm meat.. there was also walnut bits in the dish. The bok choy was just ok as well, first couple bites they were nice but then the flavor turns quickly into watery garlic but not intense enough. I really liked the clean bathroom and the service of the staffs.

If they try to stick at the table next to the private room do not take it. They collect dishes over there and the dish juices get all over the place. The food was really good. The dumplings, steaks, and fried rice were all delicious. The drinks were strong and the waiter gave great service. Now I know why this place is popular, I will be back.

I recently visited Brooklyn Chop House downtown, expecting a high-end dining experience, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. I ordered the Beijing chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken fried rice, expecting flavorful, well-prepared dishes. Instead, what I received was bland and unimpressive, lacking the quality and taste one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Each dish was underwhelming, making the experience far from memorable in a positive way. For the price point and reputation, I anticipated so much more. It's disappointing to see a supposedly top-tier establishment fall so short on flavor and quality.
