We came here for a last minute late night snack. While waiting to be seated, there was a display case full of cakes. The chocolate mousse cake was the only one cut. Rest of the cakes were not cut. There was no line. We got seated right away. However, good luck trying to wave down a waiter. I ordered the grilled cheese with bacon, cup of chicken noodle soup, and strawberry shortcake. The BF got a burger with cheese and bacon. He also ordered a vanilla milk shake and loved it! We were served a side dish of Cole slaw and pickles to start. Chicken noodle soup (bowl) was good I would get it again. BF agrees too. The strawberry shortcake tasted artificial and we asked to swap for a lemon meringue pie which tasted even more awful. BF said the meringue tasted like plastic and I thought the lemon curd was okay it just wasn't smooth and had started to curdle. Enough curd to spread on a bread. The crust was soggy it tasted off. Like it had been in a refrigerator for a long time wrapped in cling wrap and the cake has taken on the flavor/scent of a cling wrap. Wowed by the presentation but flavor and freshness felt short. I did notice when we got up to ring the check, the strawberry shortcake in the display case hasn't been cut. So wherever they got my slice of short cake from or stored is not fresh. We're glad the manager took care of this. We were not charged for both cakes. I'm just disappointed they would allow for this to happen like it's okay to serve customers stale cake and charge us for it. If they were served stale cake I'm sure they would not be happy paying customers. No quality control. We would come back for the burgers, breakfast, sandwiches, chicken soup, and milkshake. For dessert, you are better off going to Starbucks for a delicious frappe or carvel.Bridgeview diner is IHop meets hospital food. Most customers are seniors with some bring their family and kids. Just because the portions are huge and so is the menu does not mean it's any better. Stick to the basics and drink lots of water. Edible YES. Quality NO.

Sunday morning breakfast after errands hit the spot. Unfortunately, the food was okay, nothing special. The only good thing was that the sausage isn't those thin banquet meal type but country sausage type. It's been a long while since I had diner breakfast so I was able to reminisce for abit. I highly enjoyed the sausage and toast.Asked for extra butter for my toasts because you know those small butter packets are tiny. They gave butter in plastic ramekin which is definitely bigger- nice! No hash browns or crispy potatoes but bland home fries which salt/pepper and ketchup always fix.

Great experience at this little diner. We stopped in and had a decent meal. Old time diner ambiance and mid tier service. If we're in the area again, we'd try it again! 3/5 stars.

Haven't visited this diner since the pandemic and it's still the same ambience and environment. Greeted by the aggressive yet lovely waitress at the door, the waiter rushed us to place our order when we literally just got seated; how I've miss this place! It's your typical diner breakfast, where you tweak the flavor to your taste buds. I was just happy the waffles came out crispy, bacon was crispy, sausage was well cooked. I did wish the home fries were a cooked a bit more but overall we left happy and tummy full!

3.5I came here for my first time on Easter Sunday. I just wanted something quick and figured this would work. The place was relatively empty and was seated right away. The ambiance is very dated and simple, but the menu was pretty ample, and that's what I was there for. I felt like some of the prices are a bit too high, but my daughter only wanted a cheeseburger and I opted for a cheesesteak. The wait wasn't too long for the food-- my cheesesteak was pretty good. The steak fries were okay, but overall I was pleased with the meal. I don't think it's worth going out of your way for, but you can get a decent meal here.

This diner has a parking lot, which is nice for the area. Our waiter was such a nice guy and made jokes with us, however that also distracted him from getting us utensils, water, coffee and staff cuz he had to come back 3-4x to give us everything. Food only serves 2 stars but the people were nice and overall it wants a pleasant dining experience.

I ordered chicken fajitas. They gave me chicken tenders with teriyaki sauce. Sour cream in a package and a sandwich wrap instead of a taco shell. It was horrible. The onion soup tasted like dirty water Will never eat there again

While the service was good, the food was absolutely horrible. Turkey soup was incredibly salty. My friend had chicken Marsala and I had the chicken cordon blue. Same exact weirdly tasting sauce on both. The chicken was very rubbery. Hubby's chicken sandwich was dry and not good either. I'll never go eat there again. Just yuck.

Young woman hostess makes you feel unwelcome...first on the phone and then, for good measure, in person. Food is overpriced and just plain bad. This place has contempt for its customers.
