Botanica Bar

I came here with my coworkers to get drinks on a Friday evening. $6 for wine during happy hour (as of Oct '24). Say no more.We sat outside on the covered patio; the inside is a classic dimly-lit bar.

I came on a Friday night. After 10PM it get's progressively more packed, and the music gets better. I had to nudge through the middle of the bar to leave. There was no space. There's also only 1 customer bathroom. I enjoyed their cocktails. They were $12 each. Check your receipt before you pay. I saw that someone added 3 shots to my tab, and the bartender promptly fixed that. He apologized and offered a shot for the trouble.

Just a cool little spot on Houston Street near Mulberry with a great Happy Hour of $6 well drinks that runs til 7pm. Keep in mind they open at 5pm. But there were actually quite a few people there right after opening. We got cocktails from the regular cocktails menu that are $12 each , that's still a good price in this area . Order at the bar and take your drinks to a table. I got a Ginger Yum Yum which was pretty interesting and my friend got the Golden Oldie which is a bourbon drink ,he enjoyed it . There's a cool 90s hip hop soundtrack. This place is probably hopping on Friday night . Open til 2am

My friend and i stumbled on this bar while trying to find happy hour spots post birthday present shopping and what a great place to find! I had quite a large space which was nice. We didn't feel cramped at all and the vibe was really chill inside. The happy hour deal was also good for the area and lasts until 7pm. The well drinks were $6 and frozen marg was 8$. Rose I believe was $6 as well if my memory serves.The bartender was helpful and quick with service. She gave me recommendations which is always appreciated.

Great drinks at a reasonable price for NYC. I really enjoyed the ginger drink and the lavender leo rising was fun too. The outdoor and indoor vibe is great and they have outlets all over the place for people who forget to charge their phones like me. Bar vibes inside are great even on a Tues. Outside was also popping on a Tues. Loved it!

Awesome bar. I really loved the vibe in the back and front. We were able to get tables both times for our group. The drinks were reasonable for a cocktail and beers were a little less. I enjoyed the espresso tonic as well and the other drinks, easy drinking. Everyone working was hustling and customers were having a good time. Love that during a weekend.The DJ was playing good music. They let us bring in pizza and we enjoyed a delicious box of pizza with our drinks. Is there anything better when you're in New York City for the weekend?Will go back for sure.

Fernando is a coked out busboy who ruined my night. I sat down for 2 minutes and he started to argue with my friend about cutting the bathroom line. While my friend proved that he was in the right, Fernando was still arguing in front of other customers. It was obvious that he was acting out of rage with his aggressive tone and wailing arms. My 5 minutes of being there was very uncomfortable experience and the manager Mark was nowhere to be found. Please be aware of going out to this establishment while Fernando is working. He might rush you out of the bathroom door to take another bump! If the cameras were replayed you could see who was honest and who was on drugs (Fernando) on 9/21 at 9:15pm. What a weirdo.

Super rude, confirmed my drink was on happy hour and charged $4 more and when I asked for spicy rim was charged and additional $1 without any word but it had nothing but salt. Plus the drink was watered down and SUCKED but said nothing since it was suppose to be on HH. Guy in white tank was super rude and did not care but good hustle stealing $5 from a customer. Total rip off and ZERO customer service. Learn some manners bro

Really great weekday happy hour spot with great prices and great space! $2 off drafts during happy hour means a $3 narangassett, what more can you ask for (along with $6 well drinks and $8 frozen)?! And the happy hour lasts until 7pm! Also the space is huge and doesn't feel crowded at all like the lower east side bars do. Seriously the perfect place to catch up with a friend or host a large group happy hour. And a DJ was setting up as we were leaving around 8pm. Will definitely be back

I've come here a couple of times and got the ginger yum-yum and the second time was definitely way stronger than the first. I've also tried the Frose but it wasn't my favorite. It gets pretty loud in here but drinks are a good price and a fun time if you don't mind screaming at the people you're with
