This place really surprised me! I had somewhat heard of BondSt but my friend was in town and we wanted to check out the hype. WOW it was definitley worth! Although when I checked the day before there were reservations they said it was only for the bar. I called the restaurant and the staff was very accommodating and gave us a seat in the actual restaurant portion. Apparently on OpenTable, the bar is the lounge area on the main floor where standard seating is the restaurant section on the second floor. Vibes were super sexy with dim lit lighting, great date night spot but fun to come with friends who are ready to splurge because we wanted to try a lot. The spicy Tina crispy rice was absolutely delicious, and the chutorro nigiri were the standouts for me. In terms of appetizers, the tuna tart was delicious but slightly overhyped. I liked the yellowtail sashimi more. The only thing I thought was truly overrated was the short rib gyoza. But honestly you can't really get much wrong here I'd imagine. I'd definitely come again.

This place is so unique. When we got dropped off, it felt like we were walking into someone's apartment home. We had a reservation so definitely get one the place was full. I have to say I love the inside. It's very dark and intimate and just great vibes. The hostess was so nice and took our coats and checked them for us and guided us to the bar while we waited a couple of minutes for our table. The bartender was amazing that he knew how to put drinks together very well.We ordered a good amount of food since we love to just try a lot of things and be able to share. I have to say that this place had amazing Japanese Uni. This is one of the best ones I've had and it was just perfect and creamy. I'm very flavorful. I did start with the mushroom soup and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It was a big portion but very delicious. We also got the crispy rice with spicy salmon, which was very flavorful and definitely a order you must get. We also got a roll that was not our favorite and I don't think I would order it again. It just sounded really good. We ended with dessert because they had a seasonal pumpkin cake and it was not disappointed at all. Our waitress recommended it and she was very good. I recommend recommending dishes. I loved that the cake was not overly sweet. It was just perfect and it was nice and moist as well.Next time I'm in New York. I would definitely book this again since it was a very nice top-notch restaurant for me.

This place is quite literally perfect in my eyes. We ordered mainly appetizers and nigiri and literally everything was absolutely perfect. This will be a meal I will never forget.The service was absolutely acceptional! It felt like we had a personal server. Every person should come here at least once in their life. Whether it's a date night, a group dinner, or a girly get together, this is your vibe. The sake and wine menu is impressively long and the waitress was very knowledgeable in pairing our taste to the sake. All of the food tastes beyond expectations. The portions are a pretty big size so don't over order-- it's tempting because the menu is extensive plus specials. The Chilean sea bass was the softest I've ever tried. The shrimp risotto was the only dish that I wasn't a fan of. The mood is so intimate and sexy here. The wait staff does an amazing job and they're so professional and accommodating. I love it here!

Loved this place! The desert was the real star. I'm still thinking of the crepe cake, it was like Lady M but a little higher class. Sushi was really good but not as memorable. Great experience. We made a same day reservation a couple hours ahead of time on a Monday and they were able to take us 2 in and even seated us in the vip seating. We started off with drinks and I got a dirty gin martini which was pretty good, a little on the briny side but that's the way I like it. We got quite a few apps to start and they decided to plate all the cold apps together which was convenient for us. Out of the cold apps, my absolute favorite was the special which was toro tartare with caviar. So flavorful and so fresh!! The scallop and uni cold app was fine, and the oysters were good. The hot apps then came out and the short rib foie gras gyoza was packed with meat but a lacked a little flavor for me. My date really liked it though. We also got another special app which was the wagyu (tartare) crispy rice and wow! So flavorful and fresh! We then ordered the king crab avocado roll and ahhhh i love their rolls. A very thin layer of rice and then packed full of king crab inside. The entrees then came out which were the mushroom rice donabe and the wagyu skirt steak. The rice dish was great, i loved the short grain rice they used and it was packed full of exotic but flavorful mushrooms. The skirt steak blew both of us away though. This was probably one of the most tender steaks I've had and was perfectly salted. It was a great time here and the staff was friendly and attentive the entire time. I'd be back!

I find this place highly overrated for what is essentially mediocre sushi, and the prices are steep for what you get. To clarify, it's more of an Asian fusion spot than authentic Japanese cuisine.The only standout from my meal was the broiled Chilean sea bass--perfectly flaky with a delicious miso glaze. As for the sushi rolls, they were overloaded with unnecessary toppings and crunch, making them feel overly complicated. In my opinion, it's not worth the visit.

My friends have been talking about this place for months and so glad I finally tried it!! The ambiance is amazing and the food quality is great too, the only thing is the price point which I think is super high for the portions that are given. We got the tuna tarts which were delicious, the spicy tuna crispy rice was also really good. I got the spicy yellowtail roll and my friend got the salmon avocado. I think the rolls were not as spectacular as the apps but still such good quality of fish and the ratio to the rice was amazing. The service was also really good!

Overall really like this place and would recommend it. We loved everything we had & the only thing preventing my review from being 5 stars is the aggressive use of wasabi underneath the nigiri. The wagyu skirt steak appetizer & the tuna tarts are stand outs. The tuna tarts were a rec from our waiter & was so glad we got that as it was delicious. We ordered a ton of nigiri and while the fish seemed of good quality we didn't enjoy it properly as they put a ton of wasabi under the fish. I really wished they state this on the menu as we don't love wasabi & it ruined the taste for us. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Drinks are strong and tasty. Ambiance is vibey and dimly lit. Will definitely return but will be asking for no wasabi next time. ;)
