Great handroll spot! Affordable, but doesn't skimp on quality of fish. Sit at the counter for better service / experience. Counter is pretty big so you should be able to snag a seat! The interior is very calming and makes for a great solo lunch spot. Make sure to get the spicy scallop, hands down one of the best in the city.

Bondi is one of my go-to places for quick, sushi delivery when I'm in NYC.Their delivery fees on apps are typically incredibly low with reasonable delivery times and there is a level of consistency that is always present whenever I order. (And I've been ordering from here for years.) I never feel worried about if the sushi is fresh or what it's going to taste like.I usually order the Bondi's Best box, which consists of the following rolls: spicy blue crab, salmon cucumber, shrimp avocado and truffle avocado. (The spicy blue crab is by far my favorite.) Sometimes I'll opt for tye Build Your Own box, just because I like the spicy blue crab and shrimp avocado rolls the most and also like to switch things up and try some other rolls from time to time. The boxes are always neatly and tightly packed with 16 pieces of sushi and I've never received a box with any of my sushi out of place. If you're travel and have to eat this in a hotel room, the box is so convenient with it's little soy sauce holder on the side. I can easily eat it just about anywhere with ease.Bonus points: You can also order special side sauces and dressings. Do yourself a favor and try the truffle ponzu as a dipper. You will not regret it!

This is just a fast casual sushi place that is popular with the lunch and takeout crowd. It was started by Americans and they have a few locations in NYC. It is not a good place to go for high quality sushi but is meant for someone looking for something quick. If it was cheaper, I would give them another star but for what it is, this place is overpriced. One of their meal boxes is made up of 16 pieces of sushi. If you choose only one type of sushi roll, it is $20-$25. If you want to choose 4 different rolls for your 16 pieces, it is $27.50. Even for nowadays with rampant inflation, that is too much for a lunch that is not much better than sushi you can find in an Asian supermarket or food court.

I ordered ToGo and got the Hot box: spicy salmon, spicy blue crab, spicy tuna, yellowtail jalapeno. It was a bit disappointing. None of the rolls were "separated" and the seaweed were all attached together. The blue crab was a bit salty and fishy. The other rolls were okay. Service was fine. I had better rolls at other places!

you're paying for the experiencewould i have paid 27$ for this if i didn't have my work lunch stipend? debatablesushi itself was okay, spicy tuna and salmon rolls were good but the crab one was slightly fishy and i could barely taste the shrimp in the shrimp rollthe box has a premium feel to it with nice containers and set up. i don't think id get it again but it was nice to try it out. i'm curious to know what the dine in experience is like if the takeout is so nice

Came here for lunch and ended ordering 10 rolls. What can you say, I was hungry. The whole experience was fast. Faster when I would have liked. Being that I made reservation for 1, I was seated right away and the waitress immediately serve me water (wish it was hot tea) and then gave me the menu. Shortly after, she took my order and boom, the rolls started coming. I almost felt obligated to finish my rolls as it was clear the chef was waiting for me and I find sometimes he doesn't even bother waiting as he'll roll the second one while the first one is still sitting on my dish. Flavor wise, the quality is good but I tasted more rice then fish. The seaweed was not as crispy as I would have hopped and the rice tasted too packed in so it didn't have a airy feel to it. I did like that the chef also filled up my pickled ginger over and over again as I can honestly eat a whole dish of it. Lol. As for the seating, I like that it was surrounding the chef so you can see them in action but the rounded stool was just too small for butt and the seating just too packed next to each other so a few times I accidentally bump elbow with guest sitting next to me. Overall my dining experience felt rushed and being that it was so fast, I don't feel like I really got to marinate mentally each pieces.

I came by for the lunch menu on a weekday, it's been on my list for a while and I'm glad I did! The lunch menu is very generous and included an appetizer, 6 pieces of nigiri, and 2 hand rolls. It's the perfect amount of food and the lunch price is unbeatable! We also ordered crispy rice with lobster yuzu and spicy tuna. My favorite was the lobster yuzu. For nigiri I o toro, Chu toro, and the wagyu. My favorite was the wagyu the sauce was great. The scallop sashimi was also a highlight and super flavorful. The service was great and the chef was able to accommodate many people all at once by himself which is quite impressive. The servers were very helpful. The restaurant is set up as bar seating only and the space was well lit and beautiful inside.

A sushi favorite! I've never actually been to the restaurant but whenever I am in the area for work this is my go to! I always get bondi's best because it's literally that, their best sushi rolls. The truffle roll is literally to die for and all the others (crab, salmon, shrimp) are just as good! Always fresh, I've never had a bad experience with their delivery. Check them out if you are nearby!
