After returning to my downtown office in Tribeca (post - pandemic) I have been meaning to return to the Hudson Eats food court.Today I had a craving for Salmon Poké bowl and Blue Ribbon Sushi did not disappoint. The silky chunks of Salmon were already marinated, but very fresh. There were many toppings to choose from. I chose seaweed salad with fresh chunks of avocado.Very happy here. Business is booming and downtown is back to normal. Will return!:)

My coworker suggested this place for lunch, and the crave for sushi in me of course could not resist! The lines in Hudson Eats are always congested during lunch hours, so we ordered through the app and picked up when it was ready in around 10-15 minutes. There's a pick up section to the left, so the whole process was very seamless.I got the 2 Rolls ($19), in which I picked Yellowtail Scallion & a Salmon Avocado Roll. Soy sauce and wasabi packets were provided separately, with a mini sauce tray to accompany them. The rolls were good to me, although different from ones I've had before. Here, their rice is different and you can taste every individual grain of rice. The Salmon was fresh, and they give plump pieces. I was most intrigued by the Yellowtail roll, as the extra scallion flavor in this reminded me of the delicious scallion poke I had in Hawaii. The Yellowtail was a great fragrant complement to the sweet creamier Salmon Avocado. There weren't a lot of rolls to choose from, so I'd say these are the best bang-for-your-buck picks!I was surprised to be full by these seemingly small portion sized sushi. If it wasn't for the price, I'd say this is a delicious convenient food option in Brookfield Place whenever you're feeling sushi.

I got the daily donburi which was salmon. It was ok not bad but not amazing also. Average I would say. I don't think I would come back here tho! The prices are very high I paid $23 for a bowl. And I believe you can find better spots if you're spending that much.

Considering that I work around Brookfield mall and was craving for a poke bowl, I decided to give this spot a try. The line is not long and they provide a chef table service. I decided to do the to go sushi and sit at the tables alongside of the place. The poke bowls consists of two proteins and two vegetables options, there are additional side items you can select for additional charges. (Half and egg for $1 that's just robbing ppl) I got the salmon and tuna with eggplant/mushrooms and seaweed. The portion of fish they give is reasonable and it's very tasty and FRESH! The fish is seasoned with soy sauce already. Then you mix in with your two side veggies which are also seasoned with sauces. In the end you don't need any dressings at all. I only added the spicy mayo. Overall it's good but ut us a bit pricey. Quantity to price is not well balanced. Quality of food is definitely good. As they say you pay for quality. I would come back to try out the other options.

*HAPPY HOUR REVIEW*I've been working in the area for years but never tried Blue Ribbon because it just seemed like basic, over-priced sushi. Fast forward to 2022 - my co-worker and I decided to drop in after work one day because she told me about their $5 handroll/BOGO select beer/sake happy hour (4-7). We arrived a little after five and there were a few people there already but still spacious enough to be several seats in between us and other diners (it seems to start getting crowded after 6).The deal is $5 tuna, salmon, yellowtail, cucumber, avocado handrolls. If you want to add cucumber, avocado, or make it spicy, each customization is extra. I had the spicy yellowtail, salmon avocado, and tuna hand roll. The spicy yellowtail was definitely the best. But the sauce is kind of just drizzled on top. I wish they mixed it in before rolling. Salmon was a bit bland and tasteless. Can't go wrong with tuna, my fave. The deal is also valid for takeout so it's nice if you don't feel like cooking that night. However, handrolls are meant to be eaten fresh/immediately or else the seaweed gets soggy. While the handrolls will satisfy the sushi craving, they aren't anything too special. I also don't think it would be worth it if it was regular price. That being said, I definitely don't mind coming back here again, but only during HH.

Poke bowl was very nice but as usual pricey but that's NYC for you - don't buy sashimi waste of money

$5 handrolls at happy hour. A generous amount of fish in each handroll. Excellent fresh taste! Who doesn't like handrolls? And at $5 each, you can bring home a few rolls and be a hero. Love their spicy Mayo. Well, I have not won the lottery yet (see my previous review) but I would still eat here as much as I can.

I was honestly surprised with how good this place was for a quick, affordable sushi lunch. I've picked up twice and have found that it's been really good and reasonable on both visits.I had the salmon and salmon roe bowl, unagi (eel) bowl, and salmon poke bowl. Out of all of them, I'd recommend the poke bowl. The other two bowls had quite a bit of rice compared to the fish ratio. I've had a lot of other "poke" bowls in the city for $15+ and I have yet to find one that I've liked. For $10, you can't go wrong. It isn't the largest meal, so if you're hungry you might have to order 2.

Quick place to get your sushi or poke bowl fix in the food court found in the Brookfield place. Plan ahead by ordering for pick up or avoid lunch hours because this place, along with all the other food spots are packed during the lunch hours. The poke bowls are priced at a premium and are definitely worth every penny. Their fish selections and side ingredients are fresh and pair well with each other. There is an option to sit down and be served - but it doesn't really seem like the best place to dine in because it's more of a grab and go place.

The server was nice. We ordered:CALI ROLLS- this was meh. Imitation crab was used. Tasted the rice wasn't flavored?RAINBOW ROLL- well it was California rolls covered with fish. This was a little better than the plain cali rollsCRAB ROLL- it was real crab meat but was a little dry. Wish they mixed it with a little kewpie mayo. SALMON HAND ROLL- this was my favorite. The salmon was good. YELLOW TAIL HAND ROLL- this was meh.. smelled a little fishy
