i loved this spot - everything that we ordered was a hit and i will be back!- pork and okra rolls - it was my first time trying this combo and i really liked it. the sauce was the star of the show though- spicy cumin lamb - this was quite spicy but i enjoyed the kick - fried eggplant accordions - so crispy!!! - spicy fried fish - this was also crispy with a delicious kick- eight jewel rice pudding - not too sweet, it was pretty traditional and deliciousif i would change anything about our order, i'd also get fresh green veggies bc we felt pretty heavy after all the fried food and meat (but that's on us). i love the vibes inside and our wait staff was very attentive.

Ok, so to start the food is very good Szechuan style Chinese. Ordered and been to the restaurant multiple times. That said, I always felt the price was a little steep, but let it go. If the food is good, worth it right? Well I'm writing today because the small portion was insane. I was delivered HALF a pint of wonton soup for $12. I get the quality yada yada, but Half a pint container?? When I called the restaurant I was told that is the size they serve... Half a pint? Who orders half a pint of soup anywhere? Much less for $12.Don't waste your money on the Wonton soup. Or deal with restaurants that act like they are Michelin star eateries. The other stuff they have is very good so order at your own risk. Or your wallets risk.

I definitely came in with some apprehension / bias against eating foods that I'd commonly eat with my family at no frills restaurants in an upscale setting, but I was pleasantly surprise. The decorations and table settings were simple yet charming, and the restaurant was decorated with photos and plants that remind me of my grandmas house. The food itself was fresh and clean tasting (iykyk that certain dishes can be doused in oil). The fried fish was definitely one of my favorite - delicately crispy and just spicy enough. Portions are on the smaller sideWould def recommend making a reservation!

Starting off with the negatives, they forgot my lime iced tea. The back area sorta sucks because they open the back door from time to time for delivery guys and it gets frickin cold. I also didn't like the feeling of the chopsticks and plates - they felt a bit sticky, almost like too much soap was used but wasn't fully washed off? It didn't feel dirty, just that sticky feeling you get when there's residue on it. Anyway, the food was pretty good, but I do agree with another reviewer that the food is salty. We ordered the soup dumplings. pork belly dish, sliced beef, shrimp fried rice, veggies with garlic, and the rice wine dessert. The absolute best thing there was the rice wine dessert. Holy cow, I would go back just for that. I mean I've had glutinous rice balls before but the rice wine made it so good and I've never had it that way before. Literally everyone said it was really good. Glad we ordered it and had our non Asian friends really enjoy this. The snow pea shoots were also done very nicely, perfectly seasoned with garlic and salt. Fried rice was good but geez so small and pricey at $17.00 for such a small size. And wow that shredded beef was $25.00! Also pricey. Plus soup dumplings only came with four pieces. The soy milk I had was good. One other nit - the water could have been filled more often. Overall a good experience, but pricey, and they def have a few areas to enhance. The rice wine rice balls alone give this a four star experience - it's that good but I didn't get a photo of it.

TL;DR: maybe this is just me having grown up on my Mom's Taiwanese/Chinese cooking but this is just normal/average overseasThe staff is super attentive and friendlyThe food, while really good, is honestly "just" above average if you were to go to Taiwan or China#IYKYKI would suggest trying dishes you can't get in "typical" Chinese joints like the "Husband and Wife special"- definitely not something that most spots have so get it to try itAgain, good food but just from my personal upbringing, this is just overpriced home cooking. If you've never had it before though, definitely come and order everything that you think might be good. I'm sure it'll expand your taste budsCheers, Birds of a Feather!

I loved the food here. Everything was very tasty and flavorful for sure. I liked the unique variety of dishes as well as the classics. The eggplant accordion was good but I thought there was way too much fried batter on it. I really enjoyed the spicy fish fillet - fantastic flavor and crunch. The cumin lamb was also very tasty and had a good kick. My only complaint would be that the food (or maybe what I ordered) was so heavy and oily so I felt pretty awful after

This place is overall incredible & I cannot wait to go back. The ambiance is perfect - upscale and well designed but casual and laid back atmosphere at the same time. The service is amazing. Anything we needed we had moments after we needed it, and the food was served quickly & anything that may take long was communicated clearly to us prior to us ordering it. And last but not least the food was AMAZING!!!! We ordered three apps and one entree and shared everything, and this was perfect for two people wanting to try as much as possible, and we loved everything. We could not decide on our favorite. Came out in the perfect order too. The waiter recommended the whole fish to us, and we LOVED it. Every detail was impeccable. Even the rice was the perfect flavor and consistency. 10/10 will recommend and will be back!!!!!

Came for the weekend and heard this place has some of the best Dan Dan noodles. Of course I had to check it out! Service was great, the place is very minimal and clean looking, which I love - nice in there. For food of course we got the Dan Dan noodles that were delicious! So flavorful, nice spice, noodles had good texture. We loved the cucumbers too, it was spicy but also cooled down your mouth since they are cold. I love the crunch too. Very nice! The dumplings were just okay. The inside was delicious but the dough itself was a little tough, too doughy. I didn't like. Check them out and see what you like there!

Birds of a Feather is a super cute spot located in Brooklyn. I came on a Friday night in the spot was super packed with many people also lining up to be seated at the restaurant. There was a giant communal table in the middle with booths on the side.We ordered drinks to start. The nightingale was good and sweet but definitely hitting by the end of the night. We also ordered a lot of food - husband and wife special, shrimp dumplings, pork potstickers, pork and okra spring rolls, kung pao chicken, cucumbers, and shrimp fried rice. My favorites were the husband and wife special and the pork and okra rolls.Overall this spot was a lot of fun and really yummy!

Make sure to grab a res well ahead of time, but it's a lovely modern Chinese restaurant that lives up to the hype. Menu has nods to its sister restaurant, cafe china. Recommend ordering lots of dishes to share family style. Stand outs include the spicy fish fillet, chive pancakes, and tea smoked duck. Ambiance is lively and warm. We came in a larger group of 6 people and had a table by the window. Had a lovely experience here and would love to return in the future!
