Easily the best steak I've had in the USA. I ordered the NY sirloin steak done rare. Dry aged. Prime. They did the meat properly. Perfectly cooked on the outside with Maillard reaction depth and slightly singed crunch. The interior was perfectly bloody with just enough heat to render the meat soft and juicy. Even though the serving size was modest , the flavor explosion from the taste of the meat and drippings caused an umami explosion in my mouth and was more than filling. I didn't feel any need to add any condiments, the meat itself with the touch of salt and pepper was enough flavor. I was happy with the sides provided although they were on the salty side. The decor was noisy and busy. If you have trouble hearing or seeing, it might be tough. Bring your flashlight, readers, and buff up on your sign language. Oh. I'm not a wine drinker but the house wine was perfectly drinkable. Better to ask someone with more of a wine tongue.

Really enjoyed Benjamin Steakhouse Prime. Good service and maybe the owners or managers are excellent rounding on tables and making sure everyone is happy and things are flowing well. The space itself is inviting with classic steakhouse charm although he music is a bit more upbeat and the crowd was on the younger side for this type of cuisine.I really enjoyed the salad to start and the linens, steak knives etc were all top quality. I ordered the filet mignon as a solo diner, which was good but not exceptional. I ordered medium rare and it felt more medium to me but was still very tasty. I noticed a lot of tables were getting the porterhouse for two, and that looked FANTASTIC, perfectly cooked, presented, healthy portion, people were swooning over it, but alas, I was alone and although hungry, maybe not that adventurous.I did do two sides which were both good although maybe overkill. Wine service was top notch, and bread with butter or oil were classic. I skipped dessert as I had already overeaten, however, I got the sense that they were strong in this department, too.

We visited here on a Friday night and took advantage of the restaurant week menu which was a great deal ($60 for 3 courses). We had an early table at 6pm but within half an hour the restaurant really started to fill up. We went with the calamari and bacon starters. The calamari was not what I was expecting (I was expecting deep fried but I should have read the menu properly) but was tasty nonetheless. The bacon was a little fatty for me but I think that is just the nature of the dish. We both went for steaks for our main course and these were cooked nicely, although nothing standout or amazing. For sides we had the Brussels and the mashed potatoes, these were both really good and would highly recommend. Finally, I had the mousse cake for dessert and my other half had the carrot cake. Both of these were delicious, although we were too full to finish. All in all I would say this is a solid steakhouse. Would I return? Probably not as there are so many steakhouses in NYC, but I also wouldn't advise anyone against going.

Perfect steak experience here!! This is a branch of the famous Benjamin Steak House but it looks newer with more modern and more spacious. It feels more pleasant in my opinion. Their Porterhouse Steak was famous and we came for it. HUGE portion and so nicely done! The vegetables were cooked just right, too. Though we were quite full, we ordered the chocolate cake on the dessert menu and, guess what, we finished it - because it was so good!! Overall a classic steak house experience with fine food and great service! Highly recommend this to tourists who want a typical NY style meal and to anyone who just enjoys fine dining.

Came here for Christmas - it got busy very quickly, as it's one of the few places in the city open. We had their pre-fixe menu which came with your choice of alcoholic or nonalcoholic egg nog, an appetizer, entree and dessert. I was blown away by how tasty everything was. The rack of lamb and ribeye - extremely tender and flavorful. One of the better steakhouses I've been to and can't wait to come back for their regular menu.

Found parking directly in front of the restaurant on a weekday night. The place does not look very big on the outside but it is pretty spacious on the inside. We got a private room on the second floor.I ordered the lobster bisque, filet mignon medium rare with sides of broccoli, creamy spinach, and roasted potatoes. The lobster bisque was delicious - one of the best I've ever had and quite small. The filet mignon was beautifully flavored and cooked. All the sides were good too. For dessert, we had a cake assortment and I ordered a chamomile tea. The cake assortment included a key lime pie, carrot cake, berry cheesecake, and a chocolate mousse cake. All the cakes were very delicious as well. The service was great. As for the restrooms, I was surprised there were several on the second floor. There's one unisex room with several stalls and sinks. There are also several options for drying your hands including towels, paper towels, and blow dry.Lovely restaurant - will definitely come back for the lobster bisque and steak!

We were in NY for thanksgiving and wanted to find a restaurant that offered a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I am so glad I booked a reservation for here. The vibe was really busy, loud and fun. It was a little chaotic and we had to wait a half hour for our table even though we had reservations. But that was fine, I prefer that to a quiet and boring restaurant, especially because we were with two young teenagers who appreciated the vibe. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a set turkey dinner menu with a choice of appetizer and dessert. Highly recommend!!
