Perfectly located near grand central station and dripping w that steak house ambiance. Super high ceilings, alabaster light fixtures and a large fireplace surround you. You can tell you are in for something good. Bread was nice, especially the onion roll. We didn't want to get filled up before the steak, but, if I had more room, I'd have had the wedge salad and the baked clams. Maybe a shrimp also. They all look great. We had the porterhouse for 2. Comes out sizzling, cooked to order. Crispy outer crust, tender inside. Excellent. Had the hash browns and spinach. Both very good, spinach more so. Too full for dessert. Another day. Service was top notch. I'll be back.

Hubby took me here for a late night Valentines dinner and we both loved the pre-fixe selection. The bacon app was DELISH and a must-try for all the bacon stand out there. But the crabcake left a lot to be desired - it was just okay. We both got rib-eyes for our main entree and ordered creamed spinach and fries for our sides. The rib eye was delicious. It had the perfect crust on it and was super tender. The fries were great but the creamed spinach lacked flavor for us and tasted more like a bag of frozen spinach than creamy steakhouse creamed spinach we're used to.Lastly, both the cheese cake and chocolate mousse were solid desserts and super rich. The service was fast and pleasant and the ambience had an old world appeal as most steak houses do. Overall-our experience was lovely and we're excited to return and try other dishes on the menu.

Overall service from G was great. Bar was very crowded and busy as expected during the holidays. Sea bass was over cooked and under seasoned. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. There was a taller bar tender that ran my card and rather than entering the chip, swiped the card which caused my bank to flag as fraud. No issue there but he mocked and joked about it which was not professional.

Came here for an office lunch for the holiday. The ambiance was very old school. The waiter wasn't amazing but the rest of the waitstaff who helped us was great. We got the bacon and some apps to start. The bacon was so fatty I couldn't even eat mine. The shrimp cocktail was a little tough and not that good. I got the chicken parm. It was ok. My coworker got the king crab legs and it was absolutely disgusting. She sent it back and they were nice enough to take it off the bill. My other coworker got the prime rib and it was HUGE

We came to this lovely establishment last Saturday before our comedy show at MSG. My close friend Juan is a frequent flyer and always brags about the restaurant so we tried it out. We were a bit late and they still seated us. We let the server know we had to be out by a certain time and so he took our orders quickly and efficiently! They were absolutely amazing staff. I wish I had more food pictures of the porter house steaks and clams/bacon we ordered but I didn't to snap a picture. The food was amazing and their steak sauce is very delicious and tasty. Everything was cooked amazing. The restaurant definitely had steak house vibes and modern but dim and romantic place to go. The bathroom was gorgeous so was the whole place. I am so happy we took the suggestion to visit this restaurant, I will recommend it to everyone I know! Thank you for a great experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.

Came for restaurant week and though we were stuffed, I wasnt impressed with the quality of food beside it being steak and tableside service was somewhat rude. They plopped plates down on our table haphazardly with no words of explanation. We started with the imported buffalo mozzarella which was in no aspect any more special than slicing up grocery store bought mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes, and the fried calamari which was decent. For entrees we got the sirloin and ribeye steaks. Even though there was a $25 upcharge for the ribeye, the sirloin was more tender and flavorful maybe because it was a thicker cut. Ribeye was a bit dry despite getting it medium rare. I was looking forward to the creamless creamed spinach and mashed potato sides but I honestly already cant remember how they tasted. Despite having a good impression of Peter Lugers creamed spinach, the one here just tasted like goopy spinach. My favorite part of the meal were the desserts: the carrot cake and especially the cheesecake stand out from your average slice. Definitely wouldnt come again or take someone here.

Went here for a business dinner. The steak was pretty phenomenal, some sides were great, others were okay. Service was attentive but the restaurant was very packed, had a reservation and got seated 30 minutes later while having to wait by the packed bar and getting bumped by people all the time. Very loud inside until later in the night. Decor is on par with an old school steakhouse.

A more upscale steakhouse with a romantic vibe. Once you enter the restaurant, the setting is dim. Some people had their flashlights on because of how dim it was inside. We came in as a group of 4 for restaurant week because of the fixed price. All of us ordered a starter dish, a main dish and dessert. For starters, we got a Caesar salad and calamari. The main dish, of course, had to be steak and our sides were the spinach, fries and mashed potato. For dessert, we got the cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. The steak comes on a very hot plate, and they tilt the plate to ensure all the oil drips to one side of the plate. The steak was delicious and everything was SO filling!! Definitely worth the restaurant week price of around $60 per person.

When I tell you, my husband enjoyed his birthday dinner at this delightful establishment! When I tell you, we feel like we were VIPs, , it's true! We had a waitstaff of 5 to 6 people who were taking care of us and they did a phenomenal job! They were very attentive and just really catered to us, and every one of our needs! The food, oh my goodness, that food was so good! We are on a search for good steakhouses, and though we don't live in New York, that is our thing whenever we travel, and Benjamin's did not fail us one single bit! This is definitely going to be a staple whenever we're back in NYC! Also, the restaurant was so beautiful and cozy and nicely decorated. It was really a great experience!
