The food was painfully dull, but service was actually warm and friendly. Our waiter was extremely friendly and engaging. There a lot of servers and cooks moving thru a very compacted space within an extremely small restaurant. It was way too busy for the dinner atmosphere I wanted in Little Italy. This place is tight. The place is family seating, however it is tight. The aisle are narrow and harrowing to maneuver, seriously. We were seated at a table with total strangers, which was negotiable until the party they were awaiting arrived. The food was dull, my chicken parmigiana arrived burnt, dry, and overcooked. Oh and overpriced, I was shocked that paid $32.00 for that parched parmigiana chicken.

Excellent food, and excellent service. I had the chicken parm, and it was honestly the best I've ever had. Tasty sauce/gravy, scrumptious chicken cutlet, and the cheese was incredible. 5 stars.

This place is delicious.I came with my friend last month and we both got the Chicken Alfredo. The sauce and chicken were full of flavor. We also had Caesar salad + an espresso martini for me. They were really nice service-wise, and they have an outdoor seating option as well. It wasn't that busy the Saturday night we went but definitely worth the trip.

I live in NYC and I intentionally stay away from eating on this street but I had friends visiting and this place had 4 stars so I gave it a shot. Nomz: We were brought out bread a bit after we sat down that was wasn't warm and was pretty dry (first red flag). We started with the rice balls (second red flag: they were not labeled as Arancini anywhere) and the fried mozzarella. We ate the rice balls because we were starving but they lacked any flavor and were mostly just rice. The mozzarella we didn't have much of because it was not good. I had a specialty pasta, Amatriciana that came out cold and was a big disappointment in taste. Service: This is a 3 star review because the waiter was super nice to us. Or else it would be a 2 star review. Ambiance: We sat inside and I was hoping for a classic cute old school vibe for my friends but we got a very crammed just old inside. Nope or Dope: Nope, probably my own fault for getting Italian on the most touristy street in little Italy but it really did let me down hard, was embarrassed about picking this place for visitors.

Stopped here for lunch during San Gennaro Festival. I ordered the eggplant with linguine. Portion was spot on and my meal was hot and delicious. I really enjoyed the pasta sauce they make. Bread and butter came with the meal. Also ordered a glass of wine with my meal which was a perfect sized glass. Just make sure you look at your bill because they automatically added a tip; so you are not double tipping. We sat near a window which was a nice view of the festival.

Our son's request for his 18th birthday was dinner in Little Italy and Benito One delivered! We were given a great seat by the open window, friendly service and everything we had we enjoyed. The birthday guy said it was the best chicken cutlet he's ever had. At the end of our meal they came with a complimentary dessert and sang...made his day.Would highly recommend; casual and comfortable atmosphere and great food.

After we hadnoyr cappuccino we walked further down the street and my cousin says if I was hungry we should eat at this place called Benito's. It's a place they always go to when her husband's aunt comes to visit from Buffalo! I was feeling hungry so I didn't mind trying this place. We got seated immediately and my cousin knew some of the people working there! We got the warm bread and then our calamari came out next followed by the chicken parmigiana with linguine lunch special. I ate half my lunch and was already full since I loved their calamari!! It was great! I would've taken out the rest of my food, but I had no room in my backpack and I didn't want the gifts I bought to smell like pasta!! Overall, this little place was awesome and I recommend it to everyone visiting Little Italy in NYC!

With so many options in the neighborhood, you've just gotta go with "The Vibe" In this case, The Vibe was spot on. Cozy and comfy. Friendly, outgoing servers. Our server Milton was awesome. The menu really is the most complete one on the block. We meet the the owner on the way out. He was really nice. I ordered the Veal Benito. OMG! Tender veal with marinated portobello mushrooms and asparagus smothered in s deep, rich brown heavy that hit every flavor more you could want. I got spaghetti with tomato sauce on the side. That was amazing too. So simple, yet so perfect. I wish my homemade sauce tasted like that. I'll have to work on that.
