The food was pretty good overall, but the ordering process could be clearer. When I entered the restaurant, there were three staff members positioned in different spots--one at the end of the counter, one in the middle, and one at the register. Naturally, I assumed the person in the middle (stationed in front of the food) would take my order. However, because I ordered catfish (which isn't one of the pre-prepared proteins), I had to place my order with the cashier instead. While I was ordering with the cashier, another person stood beside me and started talking to her. They spoke in heavy accents, so I couldn't understand their conversation to determine if it was food related or if they knew each other personally. Either way, the professional thing to do would be attend to the customer in front of you. To make matters worse, the cashier never told me my total after entering my order, so I had to ask. After paying, I waited about 15 minutes for my food to be ready.I ordered the catfish (fried--I would've preferred grilled, but the cashier didn't ask, and I forgot to specify), mac & cheese, and yams. The catfish was good, and the yams were delicious, but the mac & cheese was just okay. I also tried their tuna salad, but I didn't care for it. It seemed like it was missing something, possibly red onion. Lastly, I had the peach cobbler, which was disappointing. It was dry, and the peaches weren't sweet or syrupy as they should be. I wouldn't order that again. I had their half & half to drink which was also good. I wish there were different sizes besides just a 16oz, because I would've ordered large.
