Bed-Stuy Fish Fry

Ordered delivery and must've caught them on a good day! The whiting was seasoned pretty well, and good light coating. I did have to air fry it again to get that extra crisp I like on my fried things but was satisfied even eating it cold.The collard greens were good! Not bitter and soft and well seasoned! NOT SALTY which is important sometimes I've gotten it wayyy too salty before at another place! And candied yams is good, could have more spice like cinnamon? But still very good texture! Overall, good enough and I would def try something new next time! Oh the Mac and cheese was gooood! Very flavorful and seasoned well.

They have great soul food. The wait can be a hit or miss depending on the day, time and what you order. The service can also be a hit or miss depending on who is at the front. They're open late and affordable. I do dislike that for certain meals you have to order off of Uber eats and you can alter it or call in. Overall pretty decent spot.

Clearly under new ownership or management. "Don't bother with this place--extremely rude and unprofessional. I'm sure there are new owners, but they've taken a turn for the worse. Today, I wasn't greeted, and when I asked about my order, I was ignored. There are no signs for online order pickups, and I waited 44 minutes for a soggy lamb chop dinner I ordered online. No one seemed willing to help. I've eaten here for years, knowing the service wasn't great, but this experience really turned me off. The food was mediocre and overpriced. I won't be returning."

Loveee those turkey wings. Best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I love that the cabbage and collard greens aren't overcooked/mushy and still have a little crunch to them. I've never been here - only Uber Eats. Ordered several times over the years. Certified repeat customer.

I stop in about once a week here or the nostrand location, for the Bogo deal. My partner and I get salmon meal with veggies. This time it was green beans and spinach. All was well, with the exception of the salmon was a bit over cooked today. Which isn't usually the case. Service was welcoming, no complaints there.

First off, to be polite it stands out and makes you want to try it. After my partner and I recognized there was this fish fry joint we tried it the same weekend. Having to wait fairly long for your order seems to be a regular thing here. People the workers, cashier and other patrons knew by name gladly talked amongst themselves while waiting which I might add was for more than half an hr for their food. Our order which was by detail no great feat, took over an hour. Which I found ridiculous. I had the fried shrimp and fries with 2 pieces of whiting. This food is supposed to be southern or should I say well seasoned and it was DEFINITELY NOT! Nothing had flavor except for the fries which I loaded with ketchup and hot sauce. My daughter had macaroni and cheese and that was blah as well. My partner indicated the lack of flavor almost 50 times whilst eating the over priced food. If anyone says that the food is good they're LYING, plain and simple. I make better at home and further more have had better at cheaper and more inexpensive restaurants and take-aways. This is definitely not for someone who themselves can cook or the regular individual with taste buds. Been once never again. Waste of my 50 bucks!!!!

I do not recommend this business simply because it will take 2 hours from when they say "it's ready" for it to ACTUALLY be ready. I spent 2 hours waiting and everyone in the store that was there had also been there for hours. The food is good but not worth the wait. The customer service is trash honestly from them having attitudes to them not wanting to answer questions or being rude in their responses I do not recommend this business to my worst enemy. The ambiance is also run down and just falling apart. The counter is rotting away and the food section looks dirty and run down. This place needs to really get their whole lives together. I would cancel my order but it's already paid for. I will NEVER order from here again. They should shut down re organize and maybe try to reopen with different employees under different management. Every single person in here was annoyed at the wait. They're calling multiple orders but aren't prioritizing the people in the restaurant. This is the worst food experience I've had in a long time. Never again. All this to find out my food had been sitting there and they did not call it for over an hour. I hate this place.

Finally caught a BOGO special on a food delivery app. Bed-Stuy Fish Fry showed in the list of suggestions. I've ordered takeout and delivery from various BSFF locations previously and I'm usually satisfied.Today, I selected the salmon bites over shrimp fried rice. The salmon was cut into nice bite-sized pieces and they tasted really good. I worry about salmon being overly "fishy" or covered in gooey salmon skin but thankfully, there was none of that with my order. In my opinion, the fried rice was missing a few key elements like scrambled egg, scallions, onions, bean sprouts... I know that this isn't Asian food but some ingredients should come standard in certain dishes. The rice was certainly overloaded with mixed vegetables and that's not a plus. Still a pretty tasty dish overall. Along with my BOGO special, I ordered a slice of pineapple coconut cake for dessert. Fluffy, sweet-so good!My free second order is for tomorrow's lunch. Good stuff.

Food was amazing I will always eat here most definitely the food was on the money and off the chain the catfish was moist crunchy amazing seasoning added to it the cabbage was definitely hitting for made just right and the Mac and cheese ssssshhhhh that Mac and cheese you people who haven't been to this restaurant or haven't ordered from here definitely need to make that happen. When I mean every bite you taste the flavors the moistness the fact that in every bite you can taste the love in the food..
