We went here last Thursday for dinner, and luckily, we were able to walk in. But for the weekend, you'll probably need a reservation since it fills up fast. Also, it took about 30-40 minutes for the food to come out, so if you're in a rush, this might not be the place for you. We also waited like 15 minutes for our beer.Although the service was slow, they were super friendly. We tried the Sinfonia de Pasta, which had three different pastas of the day: Krafi with brown butter and sage, Paccheri with short rib ragu, and Spaghetti with tomato sauce. I also got a Caesar salad, and my friend went with the antipasti misto. The food was solid, and the pasta was well-made. Portions were really generous too. I liked two out of the three pastas, especially the Krafi (ravioli) with brown butter and sage--it was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I'd love to come back to try more pasta next time.We were so full that we skipped dessert and took some leftovers to-go. Just a heads up: an 18% tip is added automatically to your bill. If you're hungry and love pasta, this place is definitely worth a visit! their unlimited pasta trio for $37 is pretty reasonable considering the quality. This place was great. We were seated and a smaller2 seater table thag felt a bit like it was in the middle of the place. The best part about this place was the sampler platter of unlimited pastas that they were serving that day.

I was slightly disappointed by my experience at Becco. We had a reservation for our party of 6. After being seated, our waiter asked us if we were going to a show and what time it started. We said yes and gave him the time, assuming that he would keep us on track with our food to arrive at the theater early (because why else would he ask?). 5 of us ordered the Sinfonia di Pasta and we waited over an hour to receive our first round of pasta! We watched a couple of tables be seated, eat, and leave while we were still there. We started getting worried as it kept getting closer and closer to time for us to leave. If your waiter asks if you're seeing a show, maybe it's a good idea to tell them an earlier time than when your show actually is. Or, maybe they intentionally serve this way so you don't have enough time to truly enjoy the unlimited pasta. Despite the timing issue, our waiter was kind and the pasta was delicious. We were even seated in the cutest little nook that was semi private to the rest of the restaurant.Overall, I think I'd try a different italian spot before returning to Becco.

We were so excited to enjoy Becco for Thanksgiving. I grew up watching Lidia sharing her family's dishes. We arrived early for our 5 pm reservations and we watched the whole restaurant come to life in front of our eyes. We were walked past the bar & three bathrooms to the back room for our table. There was a foul smell coming from a drain - quite an unpleasant start to the evening. We were not told upon making our reservation that as a party of 6 we would be forced to eat family style instead of choosing our respective dishes. Food allergies were shared and ignored by the staff. Staff seemed disinterested in refilling drinks. The food was okay. Something in the antipasti course made my aunt ill. After the second course sides arrived with almonds all over the green beans, my 12 year old stopped eating. We had to ask for small plates so we could take servings of dessert instead of everyone eating off of the same shared plate.Once we finished our meal, we asked for and filled FOUR takeaway boxes to feed homeless people instead of the remainder of the uneaten & untouched food going to waste.

The first thing you'll notice is how bustling this restaurant is. You definitely should make a reservation in advance and also anticipate that you will likely be directed to wait in the crowded bar area (or lined up against any spare wall you can find) for a drink before being seated. Also know that they will work with you if you are headed to a show. If you're not going to a show, you might be in for a more leisurely dinner as we were. I will say that despite being so busy, the service we received at the bar and while seated was bar none... really observant and considerate. The food was also amazzzzing. As soon as we ate the bread and the olives they brought out, we knew we were in for a treat. I really enjoyed the calamari fritti with a spicy tomato sauce--had a great kick, the Burrata alla Becco especially alongside the perfectly salted sautéed broccoli rabe tops, and a capery veal piccata special! The Montecucco Rosso was also quite good. I really don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. It's also quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Would definitely come back for more Becco!

We came in here based on reviews. I am even more impressed then I thought I could be. The small space in the building makes it feel cozy and intimate. We choose to go with the special. Which is a salad or vegetable platter. Then three pastas of the night. Unreal. I am blown away at the quality and taste of the food. I feel like I am in Italy in here.

Decent spot for Italian fare in the theater district! It's a nice spot given proximity to broadway shows, and the server even asks if you need your food faster or not depending on if you're seeing a show, which is nice. However it is pricey and an older restaurant vibe. The interior was comfortable and the service was generally attentive. My table and I shared the calamari and sinfonia de pasta, which consists of three different pastas of the day. The calamari was great and the spicy marinara sauce was a highlight. I really enjoyed the ravioli and appreciated the freshness of the pasta (though the spaghetti was a bit chewy, which I didn't expect). The fusilli was well cooked but lacked some flavor and acidity. You really don't need more than one serving of the sinfonia to fill up, though I would mention that the table service pasta only came around one other time after we were served.

Becco is a very nostalgic restaurant for me. When I was a kid, my mom would take me here for the amazing antipasto and unlimited homemade pasta and then we'd go see a broadway show. I haven't been back in many years. But, my husband and I went last week and it was exactly how I remembered. Started with fresh bread, olives, and white bean dip. Delicious antipasto and all three pastas were great. We also had cocktails (my sidecar was better than his old fashioned). The server was friendly and asked immediately if we had a show we were seeing afterwards (which we were). The restaurant was very busy but they had a lot of staff buzzing around and it didn't impede the service. The only downside was that we were sat at a teeny tiny table and our food barely fit.

Becco is one of my go to in NYC! The kids absolutely love the experience however the pasta is hit and miss for the kids, however I always try it, and never regret it! Last time they had beet ravioli and it was good! I would have never tried it if it were not for the pasta specialThe service was incredible but I will say the interior needs to be updated and maintained. If you have not gone I would recommend give it a try especially if you are a bit adventurous on the pasta, you will not be disappointed
