3.5 to 4 for me on this restaurant, location great, very short walk from Times Square. Restaurant is on the smaller size, can get very crowded in there.Nice dog themed decor inside. Cocktails pretty good. Food pretty good as well, featuring pub fare, burgers and sandwiches. Service good. Will give it a try during warmer weather when they have some outdoor seating.

Had a great brunch at Barking dog! I ordered the blackened salmon sandwich which was delicious and super flavorful with the chimichurri sauce and my boyfriend got the big breakfast which was good as well. The service and all the staff were extremely nice and accommodating. We were seated next to a couple with a young baby and the staff brought out a high chair and crayons and a coloring page immediately and made sure they were all comfortable with the seating

None of the food here was amazing, but the pancakes were fairly decent (from scratch), as were the waffles. Bacon was thin and crispy -- if that's your thing. I wish they'd come around to refill the coffee, but otherwise the service was good. Staff gave me *at least* ten doggie treats.-- the latter was written by my dog who says this is definitely her favorite brunch spot in the neighborhood.

We stopped by for a family brunch last Saturday, and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. The restaurant is tucked inside a charming pavilion with a fountain, and since the fall weather was ideal, we opted to sit outside. We had a reservation, but I noticed they were able to seat plenty of people without one too.For food, we ordered the spinach and feta omelette with a side of fruit, salmon avocado toast, and the Nashville fried cod with fries. Our meal was either a hit or a miss. The Nashville fried cod was absolutely delicious--crispy, light, and not overly spicy. The fresh fruit was truly fresh and flavorful. However, the misses were the spinach and feta omelette, which was under-seasoned and bland, and the salmon avocado toast, which my husband found equally underwhelming. While some dishes fell short, I lucked out with the fried cod and would definitely recommend it!

We got to Barking Dog right before brunch ended but waited on a friend and ended up staying until dinner. Despite just having drinks for a while, the service was super friendly, and we never felt rushed or like an inconvenience. When we finally ordered, the arancini and calamari were good, and the steak was cooked just right. Cozy vibes, great food, and a laid-back atmosphere--definitely coming back to actually try brunch next time!

An a-ok place to bring your pup. Very dog friendly outdoor patio seating, off the street and in a courtyard area between buildings. Plenty of room to spread out if your pup needs some space. My pup was provided with a nice bowl of cold water as soon as we sat down. There is a special menu for pups, served in dog bowls. They also have yappy hour specials certain days/times for you and your pup. As far as people food goes, this is an ok stop. Would I return without my dog, probably not, While nothing we had was bad, it wasn't amazing either. Especially considering the small portions for the prices. Service was also good but not great. If you're in the area with your dog and looking for a very dog friendly place of the busy sidewalks this is a great spot.

This is a nice place with great service and delicious brunch. The hostess greeted us from the first moment and she offered a table on the sidewalk. The server was kind and smiley. After he placed our order he checked on us several times to see how we were doing. We didn't order any coffees along with our brunch because it just happened to have had it a few minutes earlier. Another lady noticed that and she comes to us with a big smile and kindness to offer us -even- coffee for free. So nice of her! But we were good at that moment. Our plates were delicious. I ordered the avocado toast and my friends did the frittata and the lamb burgers. At the end we shared a plate of pancakes. Everything was delicious! The service was top notch and the environment cool. Oh! The sidewalk is also dog friendly. Good job guys.

It was a cold Sunday morning in January, and we wanted to dine in at a restaurant with our dog. Most dog-friendly restaurants understandably offer outdoor seating, which isn't great for cold weather.I don't know how my husband stumbled upon Barking Dog, but I'm so glad he found this place. In addition to outdoor seating, Barking Dog has a super nicely built and insulated heated section for people who wish to bring their dogs to the restaurant. This is for their Upper East Side location, I'm not sure if they have a covered and heated section for their Hell's Kitchen location. Being so dog friendly, it would be even nicer if Barking Dog offered a dog menu. Unfortunately, they don't, but you are free to bring your own dog food. We knew this going in but wanted to treat our dog to something tasty, so we checked out the menu beforehand and saw some pan seared salmon for humans that our dog could have. We asked for the salmon to be prepared without salt and seasoning. My husband and I also ordered the spinach-potato-dill pancakes and a cobb salad for ourselves. While waiting for our food, we saw many other dogs and their owners near us enjoying their meals in the dog-friendly section of the restaurant. After a reasonable amount of time, our food arrived. It was good and decent food. Our foodie dog also enjoyed his salmon immensely. Service was good as well. All the staff members were very nice and friendly. I noticed every single staff member was so patient and sweet with the dogs. They're consciously aware of the dogs lying in the middle of the floor and will carefully move around the dogs, and they won't make the dogs move for them. Thanks to Barking Dog, we were able to enjoy a meal in a nice, comfortable space with our dog without being cold. Just for this, we will come back to Barking Dog with our dog the next time we're in the area.
