My friends and I decided to try brunch at Bar Primi Penn District, and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The space was lively but never overwhelming, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed yet engaging meal with great company. The brunch menu offered an impressive variety of options, catering to both classic and more adventurous tastes. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or light, there's definitely something to satisfy every craving. One of the highlights of our meal was the Eggs in Purgatory--perfectly poached eggs nestled in a rich, spicy tomato sauce, served with a side of crusty bread for dipping. The flavors were bold yet balanced, making each bite incredibly satisfying. To accompany our meal, we explored their delightful Mimosa selection, which featured a variety of fresh and refreshing combinations. It was the perfect touch to elevate our brunch experience and made for a wonderful way to toast to a great weekend. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.Overall, Bar Primi Penn District proved to be an excellent brunch spot, offering a perfect mix of delicious food, great drinks, and a comfortable ambiance. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply indulging in a leisurely weekend meal, this is definitely a place worth visiting. I can't wait to come back and try even more from their enticing menu!

I placed a lunch order for pick up and the preparation was timely. I had the Pesto Pasta, which was fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked (will definitely have it again). I got to see the space when I went for pick up and the interior is nice and modern and the outdoor seating area would be great for a summer/fall/spring happy hour. The walkway is also very pretty. Overall I liked this place, everyone enjoyed their food and I'm eager to go back and try it for a dinner dine in experience.

We had made a reservation for a weekday after work and thankfully we did because the place was full by the time we got there at 6:30. We were quickly seated, and the staff was kind and attentive throughout the evening.A very cozy atmosphere, and when you go downstairs, there's a Photo Booth across from the bathroom. The Hot Knots are a must, and as are the Brussels. The octopus was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. Hot Girl Salami pizza- yum!The cocktails were pretty consistent and they didn't skimp on the alcohol.Glad we had room left for dessert because the strawberry Fantasia was fantastic and I'm not even a sweets type of person. Overall, a great addition to midtown.

Solid dinner experience. I came before a musical at MSG. It's just a walk away which was great. We did book the outdoor which we thought had a winter themed set up but there was nothing. We decided to just continue there since it was a weekend and we were short on time. We ordered drinks. I forgot the exact drinks my sister and mom had but I had the Gin and Brusco. It was so good I had 2. I wish they were bigger. We shared the Tortelloni Al Nero and Pappardelle. My mom and sister also shared the burrata. We all loved everything. I'm not a burrata fan so I didn't eat that. My favorite was the pappardelle! I'll be back.

After surviving the nearby Squid Games, we celebrated with an impromptu group dinner here at ~9pm. Fortunately, the space is larger than most Manhattan penthouses, so they were able to accommodate our party of 6 right away.Despite my best intentions, I never made it to the OG Bar Primi, so can't compare with big sis. I will say that this location hit all the spots--in addition to being spacious and beautiful, the menu had what every life-or-death contestant wants: delicious carbs, and lots of them.Everything was well done, but some things were well done-er than others. In order from great to good: - Chitarra & Clams- Vesuvio Scampi- Sicilian Squares - Smoked Potato- Hot Knots- Bucatini- Fusilli Giganti- Ricotta AgnolottiAnd the totally 'grammable Strawberry Fantasia dessert actually tasted as good as it looked, loaded with real strawberries and blended with more real strawberries. All in all, one of your best bets for a good meal in the soulless Penn Station/Moynihan area.

I absolutely loved this restaurant near Madison Square. It was easy to walk into on a weekend night and there is lots of beautiful heated outdoor seating. Food was good and servers were helpful in recommending dishes. Perfect place to catch up with friends and grab a drink!

Beautiful new space and loved the decor! Has inside and outside space for big or small groups. My only gripe is the food was just overly salty and the drinks/food seemed overpriced. I waited a long time to try this place and meh. Underwhelmed. My drink was just a show. Strong show lol. I would come back still but maybe not on my own will.

I just had dinner at Bar Primi Penn District. It's a really elegant and yet cozy spot right next to Penn Station! The outdoor bar and lounge situation is very nice, and inside it's comfortable and nicely decorated. There were several things on the menu that looked appealing so I look forward to trying other items in the future. Ordered:Fusilli Gigati ($26)- if you like pesto, I definitely would recommend this. There was a generous amount of sauce that coated the al dente large fusilli. The stracciatella was definitely the best part! They were generous with the toasted pine nuts on top which I appreciated, however, I felt that the price, portion and overall value just wasn't there. I easily finished this portion and didn't leave feeling super full. It was tasty and the pesto was vibrant and quite good, but I didn't feel it was worth $26. The staff were friendly overall. I asked if they had a little bread for the extra sauce and they very kindly brought over some baguette! My water cup was never empty and I was impressed. They came over to our table a few times and I sensed that they wanted us to leave, but overall we had a pleasant experience!

Perfect girls dinner or date night spot! We were seated outside but were still kept pretty warm. There's also a cute Photo Booth downstairs by the bathrooms! The food was absolutely amazing (loved literally everything) and would 100% come back.
