What an amazing place!I was treated to a surprise dinner at Bang bang Bangkok recently, and I had no clue what this experience was going to be. First of all, Bang Bang Bangkok is the only Thai tasting menu you can get in NYC. The tasting menu is 10 courses, which are served at a pretty fast pace all things considered, as the whole experience lasts 2 hours. The concept is rather unique: the small dining room is built to look like the inside of a bus with 2-by-2 seating. All around you is footage of Bangkok, projected on 3 sides. Vision and sounds that aims at giving the impression that you are inside a bus going around Bangkok. As you go through the dishes, you are moving through a floating market, a night market, palaces and temples. The dishes themselves are fantastic, both in presentation and in taste. Each dish is introduced and described by the host, trying to give context and meaning to every dish. It seems that the chef is still experimenting with the dish, as at the end of the dinner we were asked which dish or dishes we liked the most/the least. I loved the White River, The Influence, Thai, and The Oriental, while the Wisdom with the Chilean Seabass, albeit delicious, was the dish I liked the listService was both impeccable and fun! The cocktail menu is limited to 4 options; we tried them all, and they're great.Unique. Beautiful. Crazy. Trippy.

I would have to give this place a 4/5.While the service, the staff and the ambiance were amazing and nothing short of what you'll get at a fine dining establishment, the food/menu itself confused me. Bang Bang Bangkok used traditional Thai ingredients and started off with plating influences from France and then one of their dishes was influenced from the Japanese? It didn't seem quite cohesive for me and a bit gimmicky. The 4/5 stars was also given because most of my dishes came out pretty cold, especially the main dishes which you would think would be the star of the show. The only dishes that were hot was the appetizers in the beginning and everything else was lukewarm. Overall the concept is pretty cute but it seemed they focused too much on the theatrics of the place and for the price point, I would have wanted the food to stand out.

It was indeed a fun and unique dining experience however, the price is not written anywhere. It's 155 per person for 10 courses. The ambiance was unique but hard to say if the food was worth the price.

Wonderfully unique experience with really good food. The place is new so they're still ironing a few things out, but it has so much potential and they're doing great already. Super friendly staff. Top 3 unique NYC dining experiences for a lifetime New Yorker.

The ambiance service and food were spot on. Our host art was knowledgeable about the thai food and culture. His jokes were good too. Me and my wife enjoyed our anniversary . All 10 items were great. Expensive but worth the immersive trip to Thailand.

An overall amazing experience!! An absolutely tasty and original Thai tasting menu in an immersive bus trip through Bangkok. I would have gone alone for the food. When at the end of the night the host asked our favorite dish I could not name one because each was unique and delicious. You actually felt like you were in a bus through Bangkok. It was so real. Highly recommend. Staff made you feel so welcome from the moment you arrived

We absolutely loved this restaurant! Not only is the tasting menu beautiful and unique, but the immersive experience is unlike anything you'll have encountered. And the service is wonderful - our tour guide's enthusiasm for the food we were eating, as well as Thai culture was infectious! Yes it's expensive....but worth it as a special treat!!!

Wow.... Just wow. The food was exceptional. Every bight was unlike any Thai food I've never had and truly delicious. The atmosphere and service were intense. At times it was really fun but it was also just too much, and didn't really leave room to just enjoy the food. I appreciate what they were going for and it was certainly unique but I would have loved it more if they would just let the food do the talking and chill out the experience side a bit
