We started a new tradition of coming to Bamonte's for the holidays! My boyfriend gathered up the troops and the place felt festive, old school and like a big familia. We all dressed up for the occasion. We got a large table and ordered drinks. I love this bee they have here called "Forst". It's a German style beer made in Italy. I know...wild but delish. Then we ordered clams, eggplant rollatini and the calamari for a starter. Bring it on! We devoured every nibble. Then we went back and forth on the entrees. I did this beautiful curly, cavatelli homemade pasta with greens and tomatoes. Phenomenal! The gang got their protein fill and could not be happier. We were full but we were not leaving without espresso and sambucca. The mom in the table next to us gave us a Bravo! for everything we ordered. We also ended up asking for a couple tiramisus! I'm getting my own next time. I am never disappointed here. So cozy and comforting. I love that real Italian life here. Families were here doing the same, celebrating the holidays and it felt great. The staff are lifers and they know how to take care of you!

Skip the soup. But the veal parm and veggies delicious Service spot on very helpful and they were very attentive Great old school bar in the front or back depending on how you walk into the restaurant Very great crowd of all walks of life. Everyone seemed to be at one big party but not noisy or intrusive. The lady owner very nice and friendly Yes it's a good place to go

People love to throw around 'iconic' and 'old school'. For absolute real here. Generations of locals. Could be today, could be 1950. Likely the same menu. True American Italian / Italian American.

We have been here a few times and love the classic Italian old school vibes. Each time the service has been really solid. For a table in the main dining area, reservation is likely required. We have only actually ate at the outer tables or the bar but still really enjoy it. You get to experience the surge of people coming in and waiting for their table. For a quieter experience, they still have their outdoor dining option. Our favorite is the Veal Parmesan. The lasagna, and baked clams are great too. The food isn't mind blowing or anything, youre really here for the ambience!

A classic red sauce joint that has been around for 124 years, yup they opened in 1900! The decor was amazing and you know what else was amazing? Our waiter. Our waiter was so cool, he was funny, friendly and warm, he said he has been working there for 20 years. Overall, I enjoyed the meal but I enjoyed certain dishes more than others, apps and anything that had their red sauce were winners. Overall, a place to visit for the decor, service and delicious food. The food:Fried Calamari- I thought this was really delicious, I did wish they didn't toss the marinara with the calamari together, I prefer mine to be a bit more crunchy but this is a must order. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=DOqekJjLbjUsbhqWqhlXxA&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlAClams Oreganata- Oh man the clams were perfect. Super fresh and perfectly baked. This was a winner. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=nC2zhl74YZ6H0aoxvXvpqw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlARoasted Red Peppers w/ Anchovy- My friends at the table really enjoyed this dish. I thought the roasted red peppers were perfect but the anchovies were a bit too salty for me. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=hB0ZCnui4MgZVxDdHn-avA&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlAEggplant Parmiagiana- Anything with red sauce. This was really good, perfectly cooked with a nice wonderful flavor from the red sauce. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6qVua1gX_Q9KAOeVnPo9Aw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlARavioli with Meat Sauce- I enjoyed this as well, ravioli was made well but this came off a bit too soft for me.Rigatoni w/ Sausage and Broccoli Rabe- I thought this dish was just OK. I thought the flavor on this was a bit basic. It was just pasta, oil, sausage and the rabe. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=O9njYXXiJ8LP1R1gfTSqug&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlAPork Chop alla Bamonte w/ Mixed Hot and Sweet Peppers- This was sadly my least fav dish and also the one I was most excited to try but the pork came out dry. It didn't have much flavor but I did enjoy the the peppers that came with the dish.

Service is super fast! Very tentative wait staff. Food came out hot, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had the chicken parm, rigatoni vodka and for dessert we had the tortoni and Italian cheesecake. Chicken parm was tender, mozzarella and sauce were spot on. It came with a side of string beans and very garlicky potatoes. Vodka rigatoni was one of the best we've had. Tortoni was good. We wouldn't order the Italian cheesecake again but we are going back and making it a regular for good Italian food. I've lived in Brooklyn my whole life and never heard of this gem because I never go to Williamsburg. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Bamonte's! I pleasant surprise.

This is your classic white tablecloth Italian restaurant and it was SO good. I didn't make a reservation but was able to luckily snag a table for 2 even though the restaurant was pretty full. The waitstaff were all very friendly and the vibe felt cozy. The food was delicious and served perfect portions. If you drive, they do offer a valet service for parking which is a nice option since street parking can get tricky in Brooklyn. I'll definitely be coming back in the future!

This place is your old school filled with Italian families loud ambiance restaurant. I can definitely see why people say they come here for the vibes & experience versus the food. However, I personally didn't love how loud and overwhelming the restaurant was.The food was really subpar and not good. We got a variety of items to try, the mussels in marinara, stuffed mushrooms, rigatoni and a veal dish. Nothing was good lol. Everything was fine and the rigatoni was definitely the most disappointing considering it came in a pretty small portion and the sauce was not flavorful. Could easily replicate that at home. Overall, considering how much you're paying to eat here, I would not come here if you're looking for good food. I wouldn't recommend anything I had and I would go somewhere else to eat if you're looking for Italian.

You don't come here for the food, you come here for the vibes. Old school charm at its best. Servers in a tux, flower on every table, ornate chandeliers, classic wooden bar and furniture, and all is well up-kept. The service is quick although a little messy. I had a guy almost drop a towel on my shoulder and they kept passing plates over my head. I accidentally smacked one in the eye with a napkin when we were singing Happy Birthday..payback jk!! I'm sorry! The food was sub par. I would go for the simplest thing here if I was to come again. No seafood for me next time.
