Review during holidays!! I think the decor made it a worthwhile stop regardless of how hungry you are.Decor - 5/5! So much Christmas!! It was really beautifully done and completely over the top. We didn't get them ourselves but the festive drinks were really cute! Pricey but I definitely understand the fun.Food 3/5. Arancini was a 4/5, could have used more sauce and were pretty small. French onion soup 3/5, stale bread chunk and overall a very savory flavored soup, not the best I've had. Arrived not hot. Burger was a 4/5. Service 3/5. They were understaffed but overall the service was pretty slow and multiple items were left off our order and we had to ask twice for items like ketchup. Overall would return for the Christmas decor but wouldn't come starving & would have ordered less food.

Edit: I was surprised to receive such mean-spirited response from the business owner. It speaks volume, and I see he responded negatively to others. Instead of taking the review as constructive criticism and maybe improve their service, he decided to be hateful. The food was "nice" but not great. Didn't receive what we ordered, and service was nonexistent. The business owner's response is very disappointing. In late November, we went to Bacall's to soak up the holiday spirit. And my goodness, they was full of holiday spirit!!! From the moment we walked in, the inside was decked out with crazy amount of decorations. You go up the staircase to upper level to the main dining area.It was called Frosty's Christmas Bar inside the Bacall's, and it sure was spectacular. Decoration in every inch of the place, from top to bottom. In addition to that, they had a few photo-op spots, which were really fun too.We ordered some drinks, Meet Me at Bacall's, Espresso Martini, and White Sangria. I liked that they had some blueberries in the Meet Me at Bacall's and the White Sangria. All the drinks were all nice and tasty, and a good portion too.For food, one of us ordered Braised Short Rib, but we somehow received Filet Mignon... Since the server never really came back to check on us, we just had that. It was a nice dish, although it was not what we ordered.Linguini Vongole was nice, the pasta was cooked well, coated in the flavorful sauce. It had a good amount of clams.Steak Frites was tasty. The steak was cooked just the way I wanted, juicy and flavorful. It was a nice sized steak, very filling too. The fries were addictive, went great with the steak. For dessert, I was very interested in their layer cake. I saw a few pictures of it, and looked really good. Bacall's 16 Layer Cream Cake looked different from the pictures I saw, which was all ivory color. The one we received was festive with red and green, perfect for holiday dessert. Unfortunately, it only looked good. Each layer of cake was a bit tough, and not as creamy as I thought it would be. Good thing we also ordered Japanese Cheesecake, because it was quite good. I was very curious what makes it "Japanese" cheesecake. When it arrived, I got it. The cake was round and stacked on top of each other, looks like popular and famous Japanese soufflé pancakes. We had a fun dinner there, with overload of holiday decorations. The atmosphere was perfect to take in the holiday spirit. However, we couldn't say the same for the service. At the beginning, it was ok, but then we felt like we were forgotten by our waiter. The place was not that busy when we visited... He never really came by to check on us, or brough our check. We had to get whoever else around to get our check. When we saw that they already included 20% tip to the check, although there were just three of us, we understood the bad service. If they thought they are going to get 20% tip regardless, then they might think they don't need to provide good service... Bringing the wrong dish, never checking on us, etc. Regardless to say, we were disappointed with the service. But, it was a fun place to go visit during the holiday season.

Tourist trap. Bolognese was watery. Pricey for what you get. Go to restaurant row and spend as much for much better food. Good for a pre-show cocktail but that's about it.Update: Owner's response speaks volumes. I frequent that area often for shows and am always trying new places. I didn't even mention having to flag down waiters as it seemed no one waiter was assigned to me. I think you know exactly what you've created and purposefully so- no judgement here just not for me (or any New Yorkers I know).

Apparently "Ribbons" has morphed into a new venue called "Bacall's" at this address since my last visit, updated review follows:Stopped by for a quick meal after seeing a play nearby. I was immediately blown away by their gorgeous "Frosty" Christmas display including various baubles hanging from the high ceilings, flashing lights and incredible candy cane staircase. We arrived around 4:00 between brunch and dinner, so it was fairly quiet until 5:00 when lots of families arrived. (I think there's a DJ later on as well). My dinner (nicely charred cheeseburger, crispy fries and "Buddy the Elf" cocktail) was yum; especially loved their signature 16 layer cake done up in red and green. Highly recommend this place for kids of all ages!

Made another visit to Bacall's during the holiday season and the restaurant again was amazingly decorated. The decorations are so comprehensive that you feel like you have been transported to a different place.Had the French Onion Soup (very good) and the Arancini (good but relatively small) to start and the Salmon and Fried Chicken as entrees (both solid).Definitely a great choice in the heart of the Theater District to have a good meal and to get into the holiday spirit!

I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. It was already decorated for Christmas and I can tell closer to the holiday it will get even more festive and beautiful inside. We had a reservation secured before our show, and we ordered the steak and the salmon. Both were delicious. We started with the Burrata and fig arugula salad, which I managed to snap a photo of it only after half was gone, I would definitely order that again. The 10 ounce steak was a large portion and came with a peppercorn sauce on the side. It was delivered perfectly cooked to our liking. The salmon was also a good portion and truffle mashed potatoes. Yum. Roasted carrots were delicious and came on both of our plates. I would recommend the spot for a pre-dinner show because they do have a prefix theater menu and it's centrally located in Midtown to all of the theaters. I wish we would had room for dessert. Next time!

We had reservations for lunch and enjoyed everything about it. The reservations were easy, the Christmas decorations were stunning and the food was delicious. I had the short ribs and it was great.

It took so much for me to get a reservation and I was so happy to secure one! Once I arrived at around noon on a Friday to find the place pretty empty. I was sat immediately upstairs and it took very long for my order to be taken, even for drinks. I decided to take pictures of all the decor after all that's what I came for and I was very impressed. Everything is beautifully decorated. Once my order was taken it also took a bit of time to come out. The salad was overly dressed to the point it was soggy, as if they made it in a big batch and let it sit. The fried chicken was cooked well it just wasn't seasoned enough, however the side of honey saved it but it definitely needed a sauce or seasoning. The fried were my favorite part of the entire meal! Cooked very well and crispy. The drinks were expensive and not good at all. The hot chocolate was made with water literally no cream or milk. The other drink had barely any liquor and was 20$ the whole meal was over 100$. Wasn't worth the food or service but the photos make it worth it

Bacall's in the heart of Times Square is the perfect spot for after-work drinks during happy hour or dinner before catching a Broadway show! With so many dinner-and-a-show options in the city, Bacall's truly stands out as one of the best.Right now, the restaurant is fully decked out for the holiday season, which makes the experience even more festive. The food is amazing there's so many options but we have to highlight their charcuterie board (so delicious!) and the pasta, which tastes light and homemade. Whether you're looking for festive vibes, great food, or a convenient location for a pre-show meal it's perfect for the occasion.

This is an extra large space that's great for groups. Me and my family came here after seeing a show on Broadway. We did not have reservations but since it wasn't crowded we was seated. The hostess was nice and I loved the 2piece she was wearing! We sat in the back but there is a full bar area also with good seating. There are a few places for a photo opts as well. The wait staff was pleasant and quick. There was no complaints about. Everything was delicious and cooked exactly like everyone like. The steaks were seasoned and tender. The shoestring fries were a touch over done for my taste. Thats 16layer cream cake was sooooo good very delicious and not too sweet. The churros also nice hot and fresh. The drinks were also good a nice balance of alcohol to chaser.Overall A+ I would come back!
