Came here for lunch on a Sunday because it was one of the restaurants that accepted inKind as payment. I really wanted to try their lobster burrito but sadly, that wasn't on their menu anymore. Instead, I tried their Suadero Tacos, Pork Al Pastor Gringa, and Branzino Adobado. The Suadero Tacos were yummy but for $18, I expected at least 3 tacos. It only came with 2. The Pork Al Pastor Gringa was the highlight of the meal. It consisted of deliciously grilled pork belly with pineapple butter over a crispy flour tortilla. The Branzino Adobado was good too, but it wasn't anything special beyond a grilled branzino fillet. Good protein option though!Overall, if it weren't for inKind, I probably wouldn't have come here. It's good but not memorable. Service was very friendly though, which made me bump this up from 3.5 stars to 4.

One unacceptable and unethical mistake in the professional restaurant industry can turn a five-star experience into a one-star review, even for a Michelin-guided restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious, the service from Omar was excellent, and the overall dining atmosphere was enjoyable. We ordered guacamole, mackerel aguachile, beef & onion tacos (the onions were barely noticeable), and fried fish steak (which was dry). The appetizers were flavorful and leaned toward the sour side. However, the tacos and fish fell short of our expectations. The spicy margarita and skin-contact wine selection were particularly refreshing. Our server, Omar, was patient, friendly, and professional, answering all my questions with care. However, while sitting at the bar, I witnessed another server, Many, using the same straw to taste two different cocktails before serving them to customers. He pressed one side of the straw with his finger, lifted it, drank from the other end, and then used the same straw to taste another drink. I immediately informed my server when Many brought the drinks to the customers. Omar later returned to tell me that Many claimed he had flipped the straw to the other side.To me, whether he flipped it or not, using the same straw on two different drinks is unethical in the restaurant industry. Moreover, he had been drinking himself, which raised concerns about his judgment. Both my friend and I also did not recall seeing him flip the straw. For the next half hour, he walked past me multiple times but avoided eye contact, further reinforcing my belief that he knew he had acted improperly. After Omar spoke to the manager, she came to talk to us. However, instead of being honest and addressing the issue directly with the customers who drank the cocktails, they simply offered us a dessert. This felt more like an attempt to dissuade us from writing a review rather than a genuine effort to resolve the situation.

I promised myself that i would stop being a kvetch. I have tried. And tried. But as the world is round...i am a kvetch. My wife and I ate at ATLA yesterday. The bottle sparkling water is a Mexican mineral water that is ridiculously expensive. Why? Because the wells are drying up! Seriously. We were asked the usual upon sitting down. "Tap or sparkling?" We chose sparkling... not knowing the rarity and price of the water. Our bad. Topo Chico sparkling mineral water was served over two large cubes of ice - made from I assume good old NYC tap water. NYC tap water is only as good as the old rusty pipes that bring it to your faucet. Why serve very expensive mineral water over chemically altered tap water. Their bad. ATLA is a Mexican restaurant. When I was working, my office was nearby so I would sometimes lunch at ATLA. The food was always good. Back then but not so much now. We had some guacamole to start which was pretty flavorless. It was also like two tablespoons of food. My wife had Pork Al Pastor Gringa which she enjoyed. I had Mole Negro with chicken. Again flavorless. I do not smoke and my alcohol intake is negligible so how come i cannot taste any of the spices? Mmmm. We passed on desert.

This is my second visit after many years, specifically for the Panaderia Rosetta pop-up during Dia de los Muertos. We had brunch - Chilaquiles Verdes and Al Pastor Gringa, both super flavorful. I really liked tortillas! The pastries were also yummy, not too sweet, moist, and flaky. Prices are slightly above average but I guess comparable to other nice restaurants. The space is modern, we sat in the covered patio. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall, I'm glad I came back for another visit!

Would have liked to give this place four stars, but we never even saw our waiter and had to bother one of the bartenders for everything. Everything. From ordering to check. I asked her to point out our waiter so we could stop bothering her, but she graciously took care of us the entire time. So big shoutout to her. Some other cons: the food came out extremely slowly; there's only one single-person bathroom, so the line got 8 people deep at one point; and the portion sizes are pretty small. My boyfriend and I both ordered enchiladas, and they were more like flautas, short, thin, and crispy. The flavor was great, fortunately, especially the sauces served with them. We also had the churros, which were served hot and crispy with dark chocolate. The churros melted in our mouths and were really delicious.Despite the delicious flavor of the food, we will not be returning to this spot due to the neglectful service and poor value per portion.

I had been wanting to eat at Atla for a long time as a fan of Enrique Olvera, and also of Cosme. I was excited to finally get to eat here. First of all the dining room is relatively small but with minimalist design and huge windows onto Lafayette St, Atla has an airy feel, casual but attractive. We tried the tlayuda, which had a delicious array of herbs on it and was bigger than at Cosme. We also ordered the cochinita pibil, a slow roasted pork that came with tortillas and salsa. Both were good but I loved the crunch of the tlayuda and the minty herby freshness of the greens on top. We also ordered the Totoro's & salsa which was average. Service was good although more reserved than usual at a restaurant like this. Overall it was a fun meal and a nice area to walk around in after the meal.

Met a friend here during my visit to New York. She made reservations on the patio for us week of. Beautiful interior, and it wasn't bad sitting outside.I was running late because my train was actually going the opposite way (*face palm*)...We got the mole and the Pork Al Pastor Gringa. It was my first time trying mole and it was rich and interesting-idk if I really liked it hut it was addicting to keep eating. The Al Pastor Gringa was tasty, and would definitely order again. Was cute, and would definitely visit again. Would love to try some other menu items!

Modern, airy space with plenty of bar seating as well as tables. The quesadilla with tomatillo salsa was fresh and delicious. Margaritas were perfect, guac was great and topped with cilantro and jalapeños. The brunch burrito was filling and flavorful. Will be returning to try for dinner!

Atla is my new favorite spot in NYC! The food is delicious--especially the guacamole and tacos. What really made our night was the incredible service. Claudia, the host, greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Our server, Albert, was super friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a place with great food and even better people, Atla is it. Can't wait to go back!
