Best Mocha around. I used to live around the corner from Appletree and I'm really going to miss my weekly trips to treat myself here. Sandwiches were always delicious when I got them for lunch, and the omg pastries!!! Ever since Lea's shut down, this has been my go to spot (and honestlyyyy, I personally think these desserts were better. but no shade or tea for Lea either) Here's to hoping this little business continues to grow. I seriously will miss it!!

Cute little place outside of the train station at Newkirk Plaza. I've walked by many times but today the dessert display pulled me in. They had a great variety, I ended up getting the lemon meringue tart. It wasn't too sweet and the crust was decent. While waiting to pay I realized that they also sold sandwiches and soups. I'll be sure to give it a try in the future.

This place has the BEST rotisserie chicken in Brooklyn. It's better than Whole Foods, Union Market-you name it. They seem to get fresh chicken delivered daily from a farm. At first I wasn't so sure because it comes in a container and looks like what you would get at any supermarket. Boy was I wrong. It's the most succulent and tasty chicken I had since living in Sicily. Also, unlike many rotisserie chickens this one has meat on its bones and is enough for a family of 4. Once a week I get a rotisserie chicken here, along with some Balthazar French baguette bread (I toast and add Kerrygold salted butter) and some almond croissants. I make a Caesar salad at home and add the chicken. The almond croissants are for dessert. Its so amazingly delicious. The family owners are always wonderful as well. Word to the wise, get here early the rotisserie chickens go like hot cakes.

This is one of two outstanding places to eat on the Newkirk Plaza (the other is Lo Duca Pizza of course). In addition to their delicious sandwiches on fresh baked bread and nice selection of pastries, Apple Tree offers authentic donuts (as opposed to the corporate ones available at DD's across the plaza) and high quality coffee. So the next time you are going to or coming from the B/Q train, do your taste buds a favor and stop off at Apple Tree Gourmet!

I came by while waiting for my mother to finish her physical therapy nearby. The customer service is very kind, I decided to order the appletree egg Sammy. Freshly made, 2 eggs with turkey bacon seasoned with a light helping of salt & pepper and a slice of cheddar cheese that wasn't too much. The brioche bread the sandwich was made on was buttery and evenly balanced out the flavor of eggs, cheese and turkey bacon together. The location is pleasant to stay in and enjoy your food with a quiet subtle ambience. I would come back to this location to grab another Sammy.

Just moved to neighborhood and discovered this place. The staff is very warm and friendly every time I go in. The coffee is always fresh and delicious plus the egg Sammy sandwich is amazing. The lunch box ready made meals are super affordable. Highly recommend this place!

I LOVE this place. Service is always fast & friendly. They have a great variety of premade items to grab on your rush to catch the Q train or made to order items. Everything is always super fresh and tasty, and they seem to focus on healthy, nutritious lunch items (for other girlies here who wish there was a Sweetgreen in Flatbush). The pastries are always super fresh and they sell yesterday's bakes for $2 (an absolute steal). There is some very limited seating inside and it's a chill, relaxed vibe for a lunch or breakfast stop. They also have lavender syrup, which I could jump for joy about as it's been impossible to find an oat milk lavender latte around here. Their coffee is very tasty too. This place is my go-to treat.

Menu has changed but the place is still tasty.They changed their French fry type (they're thicker, but still good). They've also begun selling good-quality bread; I tend to get the ciabatta because it's very affordable and toasts up well.Frankly, they bungled several of our items in the most recent order, and at least one salad that wasn't supposed to have quinoa had quinoa, so docking a star. But would definitely come back.

Lots of places slap the moniker "home made cooking" on their stuff but 9 times out of 10, they are reeeely stretching that meaning. Apple Tree is the REAL THING. Everything is indeed cooked right there and with mouthwatering recipes -- everything in the display case has just come out of the oven and you better grab it before someone else does. Their rotisserie chicken is mouthwatering -- pastries are to die for. If you haven't tried this great little eatery, you absolutely need to do yourself the favor. It has already become a Midwood neighborhood legend. Their menu has rated its own magnet on my refrig. Pardon me will I go figure out how to get DoorDash to go there and get me food!
