Antidote really impressed me with its solid flavors and overall vibe. The dishes were well-executed, with flavors that hit the mark. My grandparents, who are very traditional when it comes to food (and *very* Chinese), absolutely loved it, which is no small feat! It's always a good sign when even the most discerning palates are on board. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual yet elevated meal. And the cocktails? They were fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised by how creative and refreshing they were.Definitely a great spot for anyone looking for a nice balance of good food, great drinks, and a comfortable setting.

I finally had the chance to try the famous Antidote, and I'm happy to say it was a delightful experience! My friend and I made a reservation for lunar new year dinner. I was surprised by how packed the restaurant was, even on a Wednesday night. The space itself is modern, clean, and spacious, with a cool grunge-meets-contemporary vibe. The service was exceptional--the waitstaff was incredibly attentive, frequently checking in with us. We ordered the dan dan noodles, chicken soup dumplings, dongpo pork, and cabbage with soy sauce. The dan dan noodles had a nice kick of spice and was well-balanced in flavor. The chicken soup dumplings were hot, juicy, and had a wonderful thick, chewy skin. The dongpo pork was flavorful but quite fatty, so I ended up picking around the fat, leaving little lean meat left. Still, the meat was tender and perfectly cooked. My favorite dish of the evening was the cabbage with soy sauce, which I highly recommend! Their cocktails are also unique and delicious. Overall, Antidote is the perfect spot for a fantastic meal with amazing Szechuan flavors. The ambiance, food, and service are all top-notch. Since I went during LNY, we also got cute lil red pockets with candy inside. Highly recommend!

I am so happy I was able to stop by at this place finally. It's been on my restaurant list for a while and it did not dissapoint. The ambiance is really chic and cool. When you come in you immediately know you're in a curated space- with the neon sign, the plants, and at all the Chinese-inspired decor. The music fits perfectly too- with a lot of house and vibey beats. It was genuinely a lovely space. The food itself was really good too. The meals were spicy- as too be expected, but nothing was ever too much. We had some iconic dishes like dan dan noodles, shrimp shumai and pork soup dumplings. We also had the chicken and oyster mushrooms, and wood ear mushroom salad (which was super refreshing!) My only qualm would be that the dishes are a tad bit small for the price. But surprisingly, my group and I felt very satisfied afterwards. Its likely the quality of the meal :)The service was also very pleasant and quick. The waiters were very accomodating about dietary resitrictions and knowledgeable about the food. My cup was never empty! Would definitley recommend!

Antidote is fantastic! Their menu has a nice mix of classic dishes and some with an innovative twist. Thankfully you can't go wrong with either option! And if you like spice, you definitely need to come here. The Fei-Hong fries are amazing, a creative way to introduce Szechuan spices into an American staple. I've gotten the fries on both visits, and they've been delicious each time. The dandan noodles are also so good, the dish is packed with flavor. They have a full bar by the entrance, and a fancy cocktail menu to go with the entrees. The cocktails are just as creative as the food, lots of interesting flavors to explore.Great spot all around, I've already been twice and will no doubt return to try more of their menu!

Antidote literally cured my headache. Seriously. And the food was amazing to boot. We were thoroughly impressed with our night here. We tried a variety of dishes and all were delicious, but the ones that remain salient 4 months later are the cucumber salad and the glazed eggplant. Cucumber salad - deceptively simple, but complex doesn't even begin to describe the flavor bomb hidden behind the facade of these green spears. The sauce was garlicky, tingly, spicy, sweet, and sesame-y. It's a flavor that I've yet to recreate. Glazed eggplant - this might have been a fall special, but the flavors here were also out of this world. The best part was that the soft eggplant pieces were coated in a semi-firm sugary shell that made for such great contrast. I've never enjoyed eggplant as much as I did that night. The dark, moody interior definitely gives off romantic date night vibes. Whether you're dining alone or with a friend, I guarantee the only thing that'll have your undivided attention is the food. Can't wait to be back.

Phenomenal food! Everything here is a must-try! The portions are great for sharing and there's something for everyone. The Fei Hong fries are a crowd favorite (perfect spice and crunch of the peppers!) My go-to dish is the crab tofu because it's savory and full of umami. If you love salted egg yolk, you will love this dish with white jasmine rice. We tried the Dongpo Pork and it was extremely tender & flavorful. The Dan Dan noodles and crab fried rice were solid dishes as well (for your carb fix)

Wow, wow, wow! Came here for my birthday dinner & was blown away! The scallion pancakes were divine, paired it with the Woodear salad which was such a unique texture & flavor! The French fries were good but also could've gone without them. For entrees we ordered the prawns (very tasty but they come in their shell so I definitely avoided the struggle there). We also ordered the noodles & beef & green pepper dish which were delicious! Definitely recommend!

This place is so cute! It's perfect for a friendly catch up, groups, or a date. I love how green it is and the skylight makes the whole place feel peaceful. The food is also delicious! They have a big menu from dim sum appetizers to bigger entries, noodles, rice, and veggies. Everything we tried was great. Portions are smaller than what you might get in Chinatown, but it's still pretty good. We left stuffed and also felt that the meal was pretty reasonably priced. Would go back for sure.

From food to drinks and atmosphere this is a gem! We heard about live jazz on Wednesdays so made sure to come then and had some very chill music from a duo all through our dinner. That plus the cool space -- industrial but filled with plants and never too loud -- make for great vibes to start. The cocktails deserve their own shoutout -- really inventive combinations and delicious results. And the food is uniformly great with options for both those with low spice tolerance (me) and higher (my husband). Favorites included the crispy spare ribs (super unique flavor and fall off the bone tender), crispy fish (the salted egg yolk coating is addictive), lamb with scallions, and soup dumplings (we got the crab and pork). It's easy to rack up a high bill with drinks pretty much $20 each and so many plates to share, but worth it for an all around excellent dinner experience.

Service: Fast Paced. Everything felt a little rushed with the service to make sure that we are getting through our meal as quick as possible. With that in mind, you should be prepared before coming in so you can get your order in. Even with everything rushed, our items did not come out at the same time and one item ended up missing.Food: listed in order from best to least bestGarlic Green Beans - delicious and savory! this was perfectly salty and I would get this time and time again.Pan Fried Pork Dumplings - Well flavored and seasoned. The crispy bottom added to the wonderful texture to the bouncy filling.Mapo Tofu - Saucy. It was slightly spicy. I would recommend ordering a side a white rice to be able to sop up all of the sauce.Smoked Duck Fried Rice - Fatty. This was a great side to have if you want something filling.Tea Smoked Duck - Dry. For a fatty bird, our duck was dried out. My thought is that the duck was under a heat lamp for too long and dried out.Pepper Beef - Numbing. Flavor was nice but i was not a fan of the numbing sensation.Fish in Claypot. Numbing and sour. If you dont like that combination, then i would pass on this dish.On to my next adventure...
