Service sucks! Ive been 4 times & each time the girls are too busy talking to eachother and on their phones instead of doing their job. Every time ive came here, I had to wait to get a menu, gotta ask for water, wait again to get your order taking. Wait another 10-15 minutes to get your check. So an average diner experience should be an hour tops expect to be here for longer. Also the food isnt that good. I kept coming out to give a small business some money but clearly they dont need it because the girls who work the front are there to be "cute". Go to the diner on the corner near the train station. Its on the same side as the pharmacy and next door to a bakery. Service is way better, food is good and the employees actually greet you and make you feel welcomed.

It's a cute little coffee shop. I ordered the silvestre sandwich which I saw on their instagram. Apparently it's not on the menu but they made it for me anyway and it hit the spot. My friend had a burger and enjoyed it as well. The server was kind and attentive. I would come back to this place!

Forgettable food. Not bad at all, just forgettable. Prices are a bit high ($30 for French toast, eggs, fruit, meat, and juice is not cheap). There are other diner like restaurants in the area where I know I could get a lot more for a lot less. Maybe that is just the French toast, but I table surfed other tables and saw several naked plates. Service is quick and efficient, I was in and out of the restaurant in 15 minutes flat.It is also close by the F and G trains. Not much else to say.

Everything I want in a diner is here. It's clean, service is quick, they promptly refill my coffee and serve delicious breakfast food. I went in on a weekday around 11 AM and it had just a few people which was great because I was able to snag an empty booth. The waitress was quick to take my order and got my coffee pretty quickly. I'm pretty basic with my breakfast orders so I ordered a two egg breakfast with sausage and toast. I mean if you can't get that right you really shouldnt be be called a diner. Angelica's did a great job serving up my basic breakfast order. Eggs were just the way I liked it, over medium and sausages were surprisingly crispy. I left a very satisfied customer

This is an adorable diner and I have no idea why it's taken me over a decade to dine here while I used to live like two and a half blocks away. By used to I mean, I was evicted for renovations and am moving back at some point in the imminent near future when they are done. But moving on - I waited until after I moved every last piece of furniture into storage to treat ourselves to breakfast here. It's directly across the street from my local laundromat as well. The menu here is extensive and daunting. You can go the lunch/dinner route and get anything from a burger, sandwich with millions of options to pasta, crepes, burritos, mexian food, etc. Breakfast as well - so many options. I went a fairly basic route with an omelette as well as my dining companion. I had the California (avocado, mushrooms, cheddar cheese) and he had the Spicy (Chorizo, jalapenos, onions, and pepper jack cheese). Him with the breakfast homefries potatoes and I went with the french fries which are crinkle cut (not my favorite but a solid option). Everything was pretty good and kind of simple but in the best way possible. Which was what I needed after going through hell. Copious amounts of buttered toast are complimentary with the meal as well. They have Cholula on every table which is the best of all hot sauces next to Sriracha. I was really tempted by the Oreo pancakes, Nutella sandwich, and the Pancakes special with choice of meat and eggs. But I should make it a point to come back soon. Like this place has so much charm and I saw that their little outdoor dining hut got demolished by a freaking car in the middle of the pandemic so they can use all the help they can get. One thing I wish they would update is the pricing on the menus. They do have a disclaimer that they are different and higher on the front of it but it would be nice to know what you're buying in advance. Still cheaper than most diners in Manhattan though so it's not the end of the world.

I took my kids here for breakfast and after perusing the menu they declared Angelicas their favorite restaurant ever. That's what happens when you hand a diner menu to a kid - burgers, pancakes, smoothies, yes please! Aside from the standard diner fare I was thrilled to discover they had some excellent Mexican dishes. My favorite were the chilaquiles which were very good. Since Covid seems to be around forever I'm a fan of Angelicas outdoor structures and plan to dine there year round. Only complaint is I wish they had an extra waiter during busy brunch time. Waiting for a check can take a bit but I'll definitely be back.

I used to go there, sometimes, after getting my hair cut, but I had a bad experience last time I was there, which left me frustrated. They were rebooting their credit card system, and it was taking a really long time, and I was getting annoyed. I rarely carry cash, but happened to have enough to cover the tab. i asked them to change a five dollar bill, because I wanted to leave a three dollar tip. (It was a small tab.) They didn't have change, so I informed them I could not leave a gratuity for the waiter, because they could not break a five dollar bill, which was ridiculous.I have stopped going there and now go to Soho Grill. It's a shame, because there are not many coffee shops on Church Ave.

Under New (Management) Stafftl;dr I will find a different dinerWe've been going to Angelica's for a long time and it has recently switched owners. This is according to the staff person that I spoke to after having to complain about how bad the service was that we received today. The first sign that things were wrong was the strawberry milkshake. It is usually the highlight to the start of a fun meal. It is a part of our usual order. I don't expect them to remember it but I do hope that it will be as good as we remember. It wasn't. Strike One.After ordering our respective beverages and then the meal, we wait. Normally the wait isn't long but for some reason the staff seemed to be circling each other like negative ions. We weren't in a rush this time so we didn't mind but when they finally brought the meals they didn't bring utensils. After a wait, they bring over some they only bring one place setting not two. I'm not a stickler for the type of silverware but to bring two steak-knives a spoon and no fork? Should I have to ask for a fork and then have to ask for another set so that the both us can eat our meal?Strike Two.As we are wrapping up our non stellar meal, we asked for some water. The glasses come out with white stains on rim of the cup. This is when we start to recount how bad the service has been and that it has only gotten worse. Strike ThreeWhen the clean cups come out by the fourth different wait staff we had the displeasure of being served by, I decide to finally voice my concerns to this person. They apologized and explained that they have new owners and new staff members. Sounds like an excuse not a justification for the bad service. This is a shame. We don't come here for the stellar meals. Sadly the meals weren't epic in the past but the milkshakes were pretty good. While I don't expect diner food to be three Michelin stars, I do return to places that have good meals and good service. Call me a snob.I feel inclined to share the fourth example the solidified my decision to post this review. After getting the check, (thankfully with the correct items on it) we were then rushed out. While it wasn't done rudely, I find it tragic that they were rushing us out to provide bad service to the next group. It is more likely that I won't return here. Unfortunate, because the milkshakes were that good.

I can honestly say I will not return to Angelica's after today. An avocado toast is not at all worth $12.31. I could have gotten the avocado and made it myself. I have had better. Service was on the poor side at the beginning but towards the end not bad. This was a small treat and it turned to be 26.63 then tip for a total of $30.84. Smho! I should have something worth while instead.
