Amarin Cafe

This has been our go-to Thai spot in Greenpoint for years. The food is delicious...anything with basil is a winner! I usually get chicken with basil or, for a change, pad see ew noodles. You need to get a Thai iced tea, as well. Service and pricing is on-point...if you sit in the window you can people-watch on that stretch of Manhattan Avenue...

This place is good but keep in mind it's cash only! I come here often for takeouts and it's about a 15 minute wait.

I usually love Thai food, but this was so underwhelming. The pad see ew and crispy duck were way too sweet for my taste, and the garlic salt + pepper chicken was so pale and lacked in flavor big time. The chive cake was decent. Many better thai restaurants out there.

Best Thai and cheapest ... It's been here forever and is cash only. Lovely staff too and great location. Local favorite!

Walked in not knowing what to expect. You certainly don't need any reservations. I feel like a lot of people were going in and out for take-out versus eating indoors. No outdoor seating at this place. There is ample seating so they had me choose a table. There is a sign that says in the front CASH ONLY. However, there is another sign that says Venmo, Zelle and Cash accepted. I advise bring some cash. Service was okay. They cleaned the table thoroughly so that was good. Never had to ask for refills or napkins. My friend and I ordered appetizers to start. It was just okay, nothing spectacular. Got the Fresh Spring Rolls in rice paper. It was a bit tasteless, I wouldn't order it again. For entree, I ordered the Garlic and Pepper Chicken that comes with rice. It was a bit tasteless so I had to ask for hot sauce. My friend ordered the Green Curry. I wouldn't come back again as the food wasn't to my liking.

Little hole in the wall right next to Sikorski our favorite Polish meat market in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Amarin dishs up some excellent authentic spicy and hot Thai food. We enjoyed a quick lunch here after our Polish meat shopping spree today. Check out a couple pics that I have attached to get an idea of their dishes. Likes- delicious food and great presentation - calamari just nice (juicy and tender)- fish cake (taste great with pickled cucumber sauce)_- grilled salmon with green curry the booom! - great location (very close to train and citi bike)Dislikes None

Whole lot of noodles in their dishes but little to no meat and lack of flavor. Wouldn't recommend.

Cozy spot in Greenpoint. Good spicy panang curry . Drunken noodles were decent.

I've lived next to Amarin for the last 5 years and they have been my go-to spot the entire time. There are some other good Thai spots in the hood, but Amarin is just the perfect, clean, consistent, inexpensive, no frills spot. I always get the same, specific takeout order (mild pad Thai with chicken and extra vegetables) and it is always consistently great and exactly how I like it. Every. Single. Time.Not to mention, the same staff has been there for a while and they make a point to remember who you are. So friendly and warm--when my brother, who also lived next door, finally moved out-of-state they gifted him with extra food to show their appreciation. I mean... If that's not the nicest thing you've ever heard, IDK what is.I cannot tell you just how much I love this place. I'll miss them so much once I move. Get the pad Thai and tip them well.
