Alphonso's Pizzeria & Trattoria

As a native New Yorker, it's hard to find pizza spots that still capture that Classic Old New York vibe but this place nails it. The vodka pepperoni with honey drizzle was my fave! The guys behind the counter were friendly and hospitable and there was plenty of seating to kick back and eat your slices. It is a must-visit for any pizza lover, The ingredients tasted fresh and the crust was A1

*Delivery review*I didn't know I needed a new delivery spot in the neighborhood but last night I NEEDED mozzarella sticks. I'm not pregnant but I would assume that is the type of craving one would get when you absolutely need food.Luckily, Alphonso's came to my rescue in shiny armor.I couldn't just order mozzarella sticks, I mean I'm an adult! So I decided to also try their calzone. *Chefs kiss* it was so packed with cheese and flavor and was the perfect portion for leftovers. The only thing that could have made this better was if I had ranch on the side. (Or honey mustard but I know that's a stretch in NYC.)Delivery was fast and seamless.Will absolutely order again.4.9/5

The Tomato sauce almost always Gives me heart burn. It would be nice to see if they have a Vegan choice in their menu maybe I'll give them a try again.

This was my first stop in New York and we were able to walk from where we were staying to this place. We were so hungry and ordered a plain cheese square, chicken and buffalo, and a margarita square. The total was $14.50 and we paid in cash. They seemed to have a limited variety when we got there but we were hungry so we wanted to try new flavors. The squares were on fluffy focaccia bread and they even threw in a couple of sample bites. Our favorite was the pesto one that we had a sample of but unfortunately they did not have enough for an entire slice to sell it to us. I would not get the chicken and buffalo again since it was a little dry for me and a little too spicy for me. Overall, decent pizza and would make another stop next time I am around. There are so many options of pizza spots so this definitely is not on the top of my list.

Great pizza and pasta; lovely staff and decent prices! When I went a more upscale experience, I go here for their excellent food!

This place is jammin'! I don't know who Alphonso is but the grandma slice with pepperoni is amazing! So much pepperoni and such a huge slice too. The pizza is very well seasoned and the regular slice is delicious too.

Amazing service, went here for years. The chef is very kind and cares about every customer. Fantastic customer service! Every time I come I order one mushroom and one pepperoni slice, and it is perfect every time. The portions are generous, and it is high quality while still keeping that classic New York City pizza taste.

BTW your Pizza is not good. It was not up to the standards of typical New York pizza. You should take a walk to Grand and Suffolk St and have a slice at the new Grand Street Pizza shop. That pizza is much better than yours.

Ordered a margarita pizza , it was ok , cold due to slow delivery but edible I guess .Originally gave 3 star rating but the business decided to respond asking me about the authentic of my review . I ordered last night fyi , I know exactly where the restaurant is located or I wouldn't have left a review you meatball !

I ordered a pizza for Fathers Day and decided to use your company. I ordered a margarita pizza With pepperoni on top. The pizza looked beautiful when it arrived but then when I took a bite the crust wasSoggy as slime. A margarita pizza is suppose to have a considerable amount of sauce on top but not to a compromisable degree as in ruining the crust It was soaked in tomato sauce point that it just turned the top of the crust into A pasty slimy mess. I had to take the cheese off and make spaghetti out of it.I've ordered this pizzaMany times before and it has NEVER turned out the way this one did. Presentation gets you the second star.
