Some friends recommended this bar as a great spot for drinks after work.My coworkers and I decided to check it out, and got there by about 5:30 on a Thursday. It wasn't packed yet, but all the tables and high tops were spoken for.We found room at the bar and easily were able to order drinks. I was a little worried about non-alcoholic options (doing dry Jan), as I only saw a few options online, but inside they have a small menu with about 5 other mocktails. It looks like all of them had some kind of zero proof liquor in them, which is definitely reflected in the price. Nonetheless, I happily ordered one and sucked it down. It was great to have something in my hand as I walked around the bar and explored. My friends both had spicy margaritas and really enjoyed them. The space itself is gorgeous, with the center of it all being a wraparound bar. Against one wall, there are boots and in the back some high top/standing tables. I saw online you can make reservations, but unfortunately was too late. Next time I will definitely make one, perhaps even for the tables that I saw in the upstairs portion. Overall, I think this is a great place to go for drinks after work for, a bit of an older crowd. At least in the earlier hours, it was very classy feeling. Maybe the prices keep the early twenties crowd out because if you're lookin for a happy hour deal, this place isn't for you.Part of the same group that runs the Spaniard, the interior design details and fun drinks seem to cater to a slightly mature yet still fun crowd comparatively. I can't wait to return (and try the actually alcoholic options)!

Modern, dimly lit ambience at night- perfect for a date or night out with friends. I really liked the lychee martini and all of my friends enjoyed their drinks too. For apps we had the arancini (rice balls), which were ok. To note- the arancini don't contain meat. However, the Thai chili shrimp app was delicious! I had the rock shrimp burger- very flavorful and yummy! I ate the whole burger up. Shoe string fries were superior; truly we all devoured them and agreed. Our server was attentive, friendly, and gave us good recommendations.

Grrat cocktails and great spot for a drink near grand central compared to most of the sports bars in the area. This spot has a good drinks menu and has a lot of space so doesn't feel crammed.

Place was quite busy for a Tuesday, both indoor and outdoor seating. Fun, loud bar atmosphere. Thankfully we made reservations so we were seated immediately. They do a variety of martinis for $15 during happy hour. They also have beers on tap and more craft cocktails. Drinks were pretty good. Chicken pot pie was flaky and delicious - felt like a warm hug. Fluke crudo was just okay.

As someone who came here when it was Public House for the Bills games, I absolutely love the glow up for Albert's Bar!The renovations they made brought it from sports bar to a chic spot I want to stop by after work for a drink and a bite to eat. We came here for a work lunch and will absolutely be returning! My coworkers got the shrimp burger and the duck sandwich, and I ordered the octopus and kale salad. Everything had great flavors and textures that balanced well together! Next time I want to try the shrimp burger. Also, if you're someone who collects matchbooks - Albert's has them!

I've stopped by here a few times after work, and it's almost always busy during that time. It's a nice bar with the added bonus of outdoor seating. I'd recommend sticking to the martinis or straight spirits. I tried the Antigua Old Fashioned (on tap) and wasn't a fan. That said, the atmosphere here is great, making it a solid spot to unwind.

A truly beautiful and whimsical bar, with the most delicious bites! Every drink is perfectly curated from the EXTENSIVE menu, something truly for everyone! The French toast sticks were light like biting into a piece of heavenly goodness. But the chicken and waffles is a must order ! A truly amazing spot for brunch or a cute date night .

Some of my colleagues and I decided to head to Albert's Bar after work the other night for some food, drinks, and to unwind from the week. After some deliberation as to where to go, we ultimately decided here based on the good reviews, selection of food and drinks, and proximity to our office. That being said, we made our way over after logging off for the day. Conveniently located steps away from Grand Central, Albert's is a large bar and restaurant that seems to cater to the after work crowd (that's me!). Space is one of the biggest assets Albert's has - there's a large bar in the center of the space with booths surrounding the perimeter. Additionally, they have more tables and stools on a second level giving view to the ground level plus a private room - overall it has a really grand presence. The aesthetics are welcoming - lots of medium wood tones throughout the space accented with touches of brass and plants. One of my colleagues called a few days prior to make a reservation - they take reservations online but she wanted to be sure we would get a booth so she called instead. Once we arrived, we were told there was no reservation for us - my colleague explained the situation and even showed them her call history to prove we spoke with them. They were pretty accommodating, though one of the employees passed a comment that we should have made a reservation online - if that's what they wanted then they shouldn't have accepted the phone reservation. Ultimately we only waited about 30 minutes for a table, and they were good about getting us once our table was ready (we headed upstairs for a drink while we waited). The drink menu is expansive - they have a large selection of cocktails plus beer and wine. I mostly stuck to cocktails (we had a few rounds), and everything I had was pretty good. My favorite was the amaro colada - it's not cream-based like a traditional pina colada, but it had refreshing pineapple flavor and was smooth. We ordered a lot of food: crunchy chickpeas, salt and vinegar chips, popcorn monkfish, shishito peppers, mussels, seasoned Jojo's (wedge fries), spatzle mac and cheese, spicy artichoke dip, charred octopus, and Albert's Double Deluxe Burger. All of the food was good - nothing that blew my socks off but it was solid, quality American food and perfect for sharing. The standouts for me were the artichoke dip, charred octopus, and the burger - but really there wasn't a miss. Service was good - everyone was friendly, food/drinks came out fast, and they consistently checked in on us to make sure all was well. Overall, I had a good time at Albert's - the food, service, and aesthetics were all a yes, and I would definitely return (with an online reservation ;-) if given the opportunity.
