Where do I begin with this place..... I went to nyc during the busiest time of year (12/26) with my family- 10 ppl, mostly kids ages 4 to 17. And we were walking around looking for a place to have dinner (so crazy dinner rush). And we came across this restaurant that had no wait and could seat us immediately. MOST OF THE TIME, when a restaurant isn't as busy as the ones on the block during a dinner rush -- it's because the food or service isn't as good. This couldn't be farther from the truth. The service was excellent. They quickly had (7 kids, 2 adults and 1 senior) us seated. The kids were rowdy but they weren't bothered. They gave us time and didn't rush us to order. After a short discussion. We ordered a few portions of different dishes and ate family style. Everything was tender, tasty and well flavored. We ordered lamb, chicken, steak, falafel, hummus... it all came with grilled veggies and white rice. White bean and Mediterranean salads. Everyone, and I mean everyone enjoyed the meal. Even the pickiest kid (the chicken nuggets and French fries kid) loved something on the table and we all left with our bellies full. They were attentive- made sure the water glasses were full and the empty plates cleaned up. We were surprised a wonderful place like this did not have a 2 hour wait time. We took business cards and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you so much, Akdeniz for giving us such a great experience.

I'm always so skeptical about Midtown food because I know its mostly for tourists and business meetings so its always more pricey. Came here right before a Broadway show without a reservation and was lucky to find a table for two.- Complimentary Bread - I'm a bit surprised that instead of giving us pita, they gave us actual white bread. Not really sure what that was supposed to mean.- Sultan's Delight - Although this dish was delicious, the quantity was shockingly little. When they brought it over I thought it was an apetitizer. I would say that the eggplant mixture was absolutely delicious with lots of flavors and chunks inside. Also the lamb was marinated well and was quite juicy and tender.I also got to taste a bit of my boyfriend's Mixed Grill and although the quantity of food was great, I felt like most of the meats were a bit dry. I did think the lamb leg was the exception and was quite juicy. I'm not sure how I feel about Akdeniz to be honest.

We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening, and while it was lively, there was no wait--a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. For our meal, we ordered the lamb shank ($26), kebab ($22), sultan's delight ($24), and calf liver ($16). Every dish was fantastic, but the standout was the calf liver--perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The lamb shank was another highlight, incredibly soft and balanced in taste.Although we didn't save room for dessert, the total without drinks came to around $30-$40 per person, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portions. This restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore delicious Turkish cuisine, and I'd highly recommend it for a flavorful and satisfying dining experience.

We arrived rather early for dinner and were warmly greeted at the door and led to the intimate upstairs dining area. We were seated near a large party of women who were clearly celebrating some event and we're a bit boisterous. So the ambiance was the somewhat diminished by that. We probably we're probably greeted by our server who allowed us adequate time to review the menu as first timers and offered suggestions based on our preferences.Ultimately, we ordered mixed grill, vegetable casserole, stewed, okra, hummus with a delicious type of Turkish pita, and stuffed grape leaves with meat. All dishes were a bit on the smaller side portion-wise, but true to Turkey (authentic).I would rare our dinner and overall experience as 8.5/10 with deductions for portion size and the large/loud party (granted the restaurant couldn't control that), but nevertheless, it affected the overall experience..

In the heart of New York Miidtown. The moment you open the door, there is a warm welcome from the staff!!Very elegant and well designed decor. You feel the quality as soon as when you enter.A desert display on the way to the seating area, you can make your mind what you are having last already.Fired liver and zucchini pancakes are both gluten free and spectacular.Greek salad is a staple.Mixed grill and especially Chicken Adana my favorite.Buttery and crunchy pistachio baklava, feels like you are in heaven. Thanks for all!!

Super close to Rockefeller plaza, so glad we stopped in for dinner. Seated right away on a Tuesday night, beautifully decorated. The light fixtures, the matched but not too matched plates, the floral wallpaper all thoughtfully decorated. The food was all so delicious! The lamb chops and gyro plate were both hits at the table. Everything came out quickly and the red spicy sauce was delicious-be sure to try it. Staff was also quite attentive and available.

Soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly staff. We were a party of 10 and we had a reservation. Once we were seated, no one came to our table to ask us if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. We flagged someone down to take our orders. Since there were 10 of us, we ordered various dishes but I ordered the Turkish tea, chicken Adana and for the table we order the mixed appetizer platter. All the dishes tasted great. Seasoned very well. Our server never came once to check up on us to see if we needed anything or if the food was ok or not. While some of us were still eating ( half of the table) a server came and consistently asking if we were down eating. We thought maybe there was another party that needed the table, even though it hasn't been 2 hours since we were there. But once we were all done eating, our server didn't come to give us our check. 35 minutes after we were done eating we had to ask for the check. When placing our order we asked the server to split our checks but in the end he just gave us one check. With so many restaurants in the City, we will definitely not be back to this place due to the poor service.

Greek food @ midtown, Manhattan, we had a reservation @7:30pm on Wednesday. The restaurant wasn't too crowded but gave a table right next to another. We started with a large mixed appetizer plate which came with seven different dips and dolma, everything was excellent with the pita. The shepherd salad was refreshing with charred branzino and lamb meatballs. The glass of pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon also was quite good. We were very full but tried pistachio rolls which was delicious! Our waitor never checked with us and it would have been nice to get our plate changed after our fish dish. There was a waitress who poured water for us who was friendly. The bill came out $200 with a tip. I didn't realize they charged 3% credit card surcharge which they never mentioned.

Clean, well staffed and friendly staff. Constantly paying attention to details. Calmly explained the menu, ingredients and cooking process. The appetizer really enjoyed it. Enough to start the dinner. Main dish meat was tender and not overcooked. Great flavor. Dessert on point.

A tasty and well priced restaurant for the area. Decor is nice and vendors are nice. We were charged 20% for service so something to keep in mind even for 3 peopleOn Friday. Each thing we ate had its own flavor and felt distinct and well made.
