Came here for lunch since I was in the area for coffee. Turns out they have great lunch specials. My friend got their chicken katsu bento boxes and I got their Aji Special. Mine was $18.50 and it came with a side of salad or miso soup. The dressing was okay on my salad. I don't like when restaurants make rolls with a thick rice layer. At Aji, my friend and I both commented how the rice to ingredient ratio was good as the rolls had a thin layer of rice. The fish was pretty fresh and I think the portion size was appropriate since I was satiated but not stuffed. We were seated by the window which is a cute little section of the restaurant. The seating can be a bit tight as the tables are a bit close together. Around the time we went, they got people in and out pretty quickly so I'd say it's a pretty good lunch spot.

Service was prompt and kind. I got the miso soup and veggie gyoza to start. Both quite good, nothing memorable but solid. I then ordered a littany of veggie rolls (I'm veg) and would HIGHLY recommend the futomaki. It's so well balanced, texturally amazing, large, compact, well-presented, probably one of the best futos I've had. The other veggie rolls were very good too, but I give the nod to the futomaki! Given I have a golden rule of, if something is possibly the best you've ever had of that thing (eg futomaki), it gets a 5, I give Aji a 5. Thanks aji team!

For several years Aji used to be my "go to" sushi place for takeout until recently. The food used to be consistent good and reasonably priced. Last few of times we ordered from there the spicy tuna rolls were rancid and inedible.We always order the same thing, so we do know what to expect. The last few times we ordered the spicy tuna rolls had a rotten and overpowering fishy taste where we had to spit it out and throw it away. I called the restaurant to complain about it and the man who answered apologized and said he would refund us the price of the rolls. He never did. Long time customer who will not be ordering from here anymore.
