Been coming here for several years now, and have to say, for myself and my family, Aita is an absolute home-run. Had to come on after our exceptionally good experience this evening in particular. We live in Clinton hill, and during the winter months, we'll often get their meat and veggie lasagna delivered for a night in when we don't feel like making dinner. My wife is pescatarian and I love red meat, so the fact that they have two different lasagnas that we both love has made our night more than once. For dining in, before we had kids, and pre pandemic, we'd sit in the small but lovely dining room. Great date night spot to sit inside for anyone looking. We stopped by for the first time in a while this evening, and couldn't have had a more accommodating team serve us, and the food was absolutely perfect. Better than I'd remembered from when we came years ago. We'd hesitated coming by for the past 24 months, because of having small children, but realized upon our visit tonight, the team here goes above and beyond to accommodate families with children. They have a kids pasta option that can range from just butter and cheese, to tomato sauce and diced veggies. The kids crushed their meals, and I admittedly ate some of the food off my daughter's plate it was so good. For our pasta dishes, my wife got a seafood pasta and I had the short rib special. Both perfectly cooked and delicious. Our server was fantastic with recommendations, and the host and bussers were all very helpful throughout our dinner. We are so happy we came by and saw that there is another option for our family in the neighborhood. Definitely a new top 3 for us for weekend dinners out, and we'll definitely still be getting that lasagna delivered.

Our friends made a reservation at Aita as they had been there before and it was within walking distance. Seated outside under a heating lamp and promptly greeted by our server. The place is quaint and buzzing for a Friday night although the waiter said it was a slow Friday for once. Ordered a couple of drinks and appetizers, octopus and brussel sprouts. Both were very tasty, octopus was tender. Only wished it was a grilled a little longer as I do like those char marks. The Brussels were grilled instead of fried and still had enough of a crunch. Soon enough we got our mains, branzino's, pasta with ragu and bucatini. All dishes were very tasty albeit that the bucatini was a little on the salty side. We ordered 2 glasses of red wine which oddly enough came in white wine glasses and a rather small pour. The food was good and tasty. Portions were just right and the ambience was nice for an autumn evening. Did final the final bill a little pricey, over $300 for 4.

This review is for weekend brunch. Overall a solid brunch spot that I would check out if in the area. I had a reservation for 2 people - didn't seem too busy. There's ample outdoor seating which is great for warmer weather. The inside is a bit small, likely not good for larger groups. Service was great.Food: I ordered --Buttermilk Pancakes: exactly what you expect / want with a pancake - slightly fluffy and buttery. Compote is the perfect level of sweetness. -Salmon Hash: this wasn't necessarily bad, but a bit underwhelming flavor wise. It needed more seasoning and was very under salted even with the bacon. It was a bit dry too so I ended up dipping in ketchup & hot sauce. -Beef Cheek Hash: this was the better of the two hashes, had much more flavor. The salsa verde is a nice touch.

The food was so good - it's been 5 days and I'm still thinking about it. Definitely will be back. The place is small and cute. Very cozy vibes especially with the staff. Everyone is very friendly. The location could've been better but it is what it is. I'll be back regardless.

I was so excited to try my friend's favorite restaurant in Fort Greene. Usually when there's so much hype, I end up being disappointed, but the food and setting at Aita was exactly what I needed on a cold winter day.The Breakfast spread was the perfect balance of every food group. You get your protein from the eggs and the bacon, some carbs from the potatoes and pancake, and your greens from the salad. All of the flavors came nicely together, almost like a breakfast sampler. My personal favorite was the pancakes -- the ricotta cream on top was amazing. My experience with beef hash is comfort food. Simple, easy, and just a big mess of beef and potatoes. The beef has at Aita however was next level. Cubes of steak that were so juicy and flavorful with potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and beautiful mushrooms. Incredible. Changed the meaning of beef hash for me. The table next to us ordered it too after they saw ours come out. You're welcome!

Try this place out because I liked their outside space. Although service was incredibly slow (even with few people there at first) the servers were lovely. The recommendations were fine. The food was just ok. I expected much more robust flavors. I would return for the ambiance more than the food.

Stopped here for a solo dinner on Thursday night and grabbed a seat at the bar. The place was already pretty busy at 7pm and stayed like that the whole time I was there. The vibe of the restaurant was really nice and cosy and I felt welcomed straight away. I ordered the oxtail ravioli which was delicious (the sauce was to die for, so rich and flavourful). I can never say no to dessert and I asked for the recommendation between the tiramisu and chocolate terrine and was told the terrine. I was so happy with my choice when it arrived as the dessert was outstanding. Rich but without being too heavy and I was able to eat the whole thing. All in all I think this was one of the best Italian restaurant I have been to in New York. The pricing was also reasonable and, with 2 glasses of wine as well, I thought the final bill was very reasonable. I will definitely be returning and am so glad that I have a restaurant like this only 15 minutes from my apartment (although my waistline may not be so happy).

Had a filling and very yummy meal at Aita the other night. Took myself out for a solo foodie night but was CRAVING lasagna (which never happens to me btw) and I was just lucky enough to be able to order this off-menu item to kick my craving.Highly recommend their lasagna but high key LOVED their heirloom chili-honey roasted carrots. Double yum. It hit all the sweet spots. You also can't pass up their house made focaccia. Bouncy, fluffy and the perfect vessel to soak up any of those lingering sauces. If you can , go for Aperitivo Hour (every day until 7) and order off this special menu. It's so cute because it comes with a small sampling of amuse bouchée. I ended the meal (with plenty of leftovers) with their Bomboloni aka the perfect little dessert donut. Overall a great meal and an awesome spot for solo night or date night! 4.5/5

For all Italian food lovers, this is a great spot to have your dinner pasta fix. The restaurant is quite small itself, but they have heated booths outside. Because it's small and nicely decorated, it has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. You should definitely reserve a table in advance but getting seated at the bar was pretty easy. We got different kinds of pasta and a burger, all of which were perfect. The staff was very fast and attentive, and gave us some recs. The squid ink pasta with lobster, tomatoes, shrimp, and crab stole the show. The salad with roasted beets was also great, but not enough to share and barely enough for one person (and for the price there definitely should be more). Lastly, their sorbet and tiramisu were incredible. Really good desserts and a cherry on top of already perfect dinner. Overall, a strong A and would be A+ if portions were a bit bigger for the money. Highly recommend!

i ordered food from here as a treat and it was phenomenal (burrata specifically). so i had to take my girlfriend here for gf day. i got the occhi which was very delicious and she got a potato pasta which was not exciting for me but she liked. i was disappointed by the burrata that we ordered irl because it was different than what i got delivered which was much better and had different components. the real star of the meal was the sour cherry pie.... oh my god we also ordered drinks which were standard/nothing to write home about, and the service was very attentive and lovely :) the only thing was it was kinda warm inside on a hot summer day, cannot imagine the servers and staff working there all day...
