Abitino's Pizzeria

We were in NYC over the Thanksgiving holiday for a day trip. This was my daughter's first time in the Big Apple and we wanted to experience a few key items and one of them was to have a NYC Pizza Slice on a cold brisk weekend while walking down the street. We spotted Abitino's by accident. We were actually lost and smelled some yummy Pizza. We decided to go inside as a family of 3. There were lots of options and even something called Granny Pizza (Square). My eyes skimmed the entire selection and I couldn't find (Sausage). They had a Sausage/Pepperoni combo, so that's what I went with. My wife went with the White Pizza and my daughter had standard Pepperoni. Our slices were thrown in the oven as we waited off to the side. It was kind of confusing as slices were coming out and nobody knew who's was who's. Some came out for the people behind us, so we were thrown off. They eventually came out, but there were no tables or place to eat so we took our slices out for a walk. I first held it out and it passed the flop the test. No drooping here. I then folded it like any fat guy and heard the lovely crunch of the crust. OMG- I think the texture made this my number one slice. Because it was right out of the oven it had an amazing cheese-pull. One slice was the perfect snack for all of us to tie us over to the next treat. Thank You Abitino's for making my daughters first NYC Pizza Slice and amazing experience.

I really liked the variety here!We got slices of the veggie pizza and the meat lovers pizza. Both were very tasty!A little tight on seating but what can ya do in NYC heh.Friendly service and clean place!

Close to Rockefeller Center. Pizza is good and my gf rated it a 7/10 for NY pizza. It's a bit overpriced but expected in that area of NYC. Service is fast and friendly. Nothing fancy. A quick slice on NY pizza that is very good but no the best in NYC. I'd go back.

This place is very busy but the line moves fast! You might not be able to get a seat. All the pizzas were delicious though! I'd try this place again.

Came to NYC for the day. Power shopping and wanted a quick bite and pizza fix. Found this on Yelp. Fast. Easily. Tasty. Check, check, check. A slice for about $6. Some seating. Great location. Putting it in my permanent rotation.

We had a couple slices, pepperoni and tony rony. Both were 4 star worthy. But the garlic knots were doughy and awful. The staff was friendly and everything was clean and sharp. But oh those knots.

This pizza place seemed to pop up overnight. Like many near Rockefeller Center and 5th Ave. I've been here a few times, just to grab a quick slice. I've had the Margherita Slice and a sausage slice. It's good, and kinda just there with flavor. Nothing wrong with this place, but it will never make it to any of the lists. Save your appetite for one of the better known places to eat NY Pizza.

SO GOOD!!! We popped in to grab a bite to eat as the place across the street was too long of a wait. It's super small in there with counter seating and some seating in the back. It's a typical pizza shop with some cool art on the walls. It was clean. The guys were quick to get your order and keep it moving. The pizza was SO good. My husband loved the Stromboli. For 5 slices, a small Stromboli, and 4 drinks was about $60. Not too shabby for NY. Highly recommend.

Came here at lunch time because of the reviews and left kind of shocked at how much people like it, particularly when people want to brag on New York Pizza. Since we were starving, And we were curious after the great reviews we wanted to try out a number of different slices. We got two upside down Grandma slices, a grandma pepperoni and a classic New York cheese slice. Of the three varieties, I guess the upside down grandma was the best, although I could find equal or better better pizza at 25 places in Rhode Island and pretty much any city or town here would have one. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying it's super average. The upside down grandma was light and crispy which was good but didn't have much taste to it. The cheese slice had no flavors at all but the back crust was pretty good. The grandma pepperoni was spicier than it probably should have been. It tasted like there was red pepper flakes in the sauce, although there wasn't very much of that. As I said coming from Rhode Island, this is just okay. York are bragging on this place then. I'm not sure why New York has their reputation that it does. It's just kind of okay if you're hungry. There are literally five pizza places within 5 minutes of my house that I would go to before this one if it was in my neighborhood. Not bad, just mid-ish.

Our second annual visit to Abitinos. We love this place. Great food and phenomenal owner. We make sure to visit every time we come to New York!
