This is exactly what I wanted while visiting Brooklynn. The famous NYC Smash Burger.Don't get me wrong, the fries were very good but next time, I'm skipping the fries and going with two cheeseburgers. I'll be back as this is saved as one of my FAVS....

After any night of drinking, one of my favorite late night eats is 7th Street Burger. When I got off my subway stop and saw this, I couldn't say no. This location is situated between 5 subway stops at Jay St, so it's convenient for many.I got a simple Cheeseburger ($6.50), which is greasy and cheesy in all the right ways. If I hadn't already just had dinner, I'd highly recommend the loaded fries --so good! You know a spot has perfected what they do when they have such a simple menu.

I love this burger. I've loved it since I first tried it on 7th Street, and I'm honestly a little worried now that they've moved in down the street. Whoever is running this biz just gets it. They are doing one thing, and doing it so, so well. It's all so simple. The menu is simple. You just have to answer very easy questions: Do you want a single or a double? Do you want fries with that? That's it. The space is simple. There's a counter where you order, and a small counter where you stand and hoover your burger (and fries if you got them) into your face. There's barely anything else there, and if they turned the music down a bit (I'm old now) it'd be perfect. It's entirely too easy, and entirely too affordable ($6.50 for a single, $9.50 for a double). Unsurprisingly, I'm not the only one who loves it. There's a line at prime lunchtime (haven't been for dinner yet), and after eating it the first time, my wife actually said the words, "It doesn't even need ketchup."We were both astonished, because these are words she's never said about a burger, and words I've never heard her say about a burger. I truly crave it. We crave it. Fuck it, I'm going to get one now.

This is my second visit to 7th Street Burger and the smell of those grilled onions hit me as I strolled down Jay Street. This stop was not in my plans, but I must admit it is hard to walk by and ignore all that aroma. I was greeted by the smell of the doubled patty, all beef burgers with American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, warm potato bun, on a grill. This stop was not in today's plans. This place is buzzing with customers, pick-ups, and good customer service. They got my order right. I was in-and-out.

Pros:- Classic cheeseburger (w/ onions, pickles, cheese, and sauce), delicious fresh fries, and a Mexican coke....totally hits the spot. Their house sauce is fantastic! The burger is a little on the oilier side which I didn't mind at all. Perfect for a late-night snack after drinking or going out with friends. - Friendly serviceCons:- Located in the busiest part of downtown Brooklyn, it is easy to get to with the subway but very difficult with a car. Parking is impossible to find. Note:- This is more of a take-out-only spot with 2 small standing tables. Recommend take-out or delivery (if they offer).

Oh what a perfect burger!Tonight, I had a burger craving that was kicking my a**. I pass by 7th Street Burger a few times a week after work but I never go in. I've been tryiiing not to eat too heavy after a certain hour but tonight, I just could NOT help myself. I walked inside, ordered right away and walked out with the most perfect smash burger that I've ever tasted. I ordered a double with everything. It was so hot, cheesy and delicious. The onions were grilled just right and the pickle slices were wonderfully tart.Ohhh... the bag! I have to talk about the aroma wafting from the white paper bag. Such a delight to my greedy senses. I had every intention of waiting to get home to eat it but the delicious smells of hot, fresh burgers between a warm, buttery bun made my stomach growl. I ate it in slow bites while waiting on the bus. I asked for extra sauce and I'm very happy that I did. Definitely going back!

This was my second visit to this location, but I've been various locations they have across NY. 7th Street has exploded onto the scene with a wonderful burger, that's actually reasonable in cough (ahem: 5 Guys, take notes) Nonetheless, I came in beside there was no line and I had intent to actually eat elsewhere. The employee at the counter was extremely friendly and struck up a long conversation about the business and their business model. As previously mentioned, I've been to multiple locstions and they always have great employees similar to Chik Fil-A. My order didn't take very long and it was the typical wonderful 7th street burger that I've grown accustomed to. I've never been too keen on the fries, but I did order them along with my burger. Overall, I think it's obvious why they've been able to expand so quickly and within such a short time - they have an excellent product!

Thus is an updated review: Since the opening of this location, it has remained a consistent space of great food, service, and presence. Despite adding additional counter staff, they have added security in the evening hours, which feels more secure for those sauntering in after dark. The staff is stiff friendly as ever and the playlists remain the highlight of you wait while your food is prepared. The burgers are phenomenal and remain as such. I hope one day, they will carry a few flavors of Baonanas banana pudding.

This is my 4th time coming to a different 7th Street Burger location. I have been to the OG one on 7th street in East Village, the LES one, the West 23rd Street one, and now the Brooklyn one. The best way I can describe 7th Street Burger is a simplified version ShakeShack. And it tastes so similar to SS's burgers and at a lower price.I love how simple, and the limited options it offers - either the Impossible (vegetarian) or the Beef burger. Either coke, sprite or water. Either fries or no fries. No BS, you get what you need and you are out of there in 10 mins. This is a non-complicated and straight forward burgers chain. I think these are the exact reasons that 7th Street is so popular and why the business model works so well. Thus, the rapid expansion in the last couple of years.Anyway, how does the food taste? Consistent! It's the same taste in every store and I like that. $8 for a vegan burger vs a ShakeShack $13 I would take this anytime. Overall, the experience of 7th Street Burger is often one that you come and get what you need and get out kind of food chain. In the Brooklyn store, there is a small counter you can eat at. Or you can walk 7 mins over to Albee Square, there is a mall there with a food court downstairs. A staff told me about it and it was a nice place to explore. Definitely a good experience / date night for those who don't mind venturing out of their boroughs to go to Downtown Brooklyn! PS: Thank you Yelp and 7th Street Burger for given me an opportunity to do two of my favorite things - food and explorations. Look forward to doing more!
