This place was highly recommended by my son, as one of his favorite deli / bodega places in Park Slope area. Two times we were taking out a Super chick sandwich - sliced chicken breast, melted cheddar, roasted peppers on a roll for $7.99 it was really good. Another choice was All American sandwich - turkey, roast beef, provolone, lettuce and tomato on a hero for $9.99. I was not able to finish it in one seating (this was humongous sandwich with a nice portion of meats and cheese). It was always really busy, with a lot of customers either ordering on the spot or like me coming to pick it up. Definitely the place to eat, next time we are in Park Slope.

The borracho is the best! Seriously though this is the best bodega in park slope. Perfect spot to grab huge delicious sandwiches before heading to the park.

Very Convenient, Open 24/7, and every time I have visited I received admirable enthusiasm followed up with excellent customer service. They remind me of the days when the store clerks were happy to be alive and always community friendly. One of the best Delis in New York

AN OFFER I COULDN'T REFUSEIt's almost midnight, I've finished working and I'm hungry. I didn't want to sit in a bar and have a huge meal plus as it keeps getting later my food options become very slim. This place is open super late. In fact I don't think they close until 5:30am. The options here are huge and include wraps, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches and paninis. It took me a while to read the whole list and I finally decided on "The Godfather". It had a nice selection of Italian meats with lettuce, tomato, red onion, oil, vinegar and roasted sweet peppers. There are also a lot of bread options. It comes as a sandwich which is a round bun. I asked the chef for the long bread which is called a hero. I'm not sure how much more it was but the sandwich was only $8. I didn't care because I needed some food. The sandwich was really tasty. East coast bread is a little soft but good. I like a little more crunch on my sandwich. The store has about 400 varieties of crunchy snack options which include chips, pretzels and popcorn. There are also candy bars, nuts, power bars and dried fruits. I got some dried apricots and low sodium pistachios as well as a couple of candy bars. The guy at check out was funny. He kept asking me if I wanted to give him more money by buying more stuff. I don't think he needs any more money with the prices they charge here. Hey it's Brooklyn and this is the price of convenience. This store has everything including fresh fruit and vegetables. They also have frozen foods, in case your hotel has a microwave. I saw a guy buying a frozen pizza. I wanted to tell him that there are like 8 pizza places right down the street. I'd rather eat a fresh slice then a frozen pizza. So if you find yourself hungry in Brooklyn, then this place has you covered with food and snacks. It's a great place for late night nibbles.

Don't know where they found their staff. Rude and unhelpful. Even by Brooklyn standards.

I think I may have wasted away if it wasn't for this fantastic market. They have EVERYTHING 24/7! If I don't want to go out, I'll order and the food is tops. Sometimes I'll need something off menu and I'll call with a request which they always take care of. It's nice to have a neighborhood store who knows you and can take care of you. I don't have any specific food recommendations because everything is good, delivery is fast and if you have to call a few times for a request that isn't on the online menu, it's only because they're taking care of the hordes of patrons waiting in person. 100 stars for sure!

UNSAFE. Be careful coming in here late at night.Went in during a late work night and this strange Asian man started to follow me around the store with a big smile on his face asking me if I stole his wallet. It was creepy as hell. It was obvious from his constant smiling that he knew I hadn't taken anything. After telling him I didn't have his wallet he would still continue to follow me and come up to me. After threatening him with calling the police he would then walk away only to walk up to me with that creepy smile again a few minutes later until I threatened him with the police again and he'd say, "no, no that's ok." and walk away again. The fourth time this man went up to me with a huge grin on his face and asking me for my contact details, I finally went up to the register and told the guy at the register to call the police. My battery was down to 2% and I didn't think I'd be able to make the call myself. He refused to make the call and said that "it wasn't worth the hassle". Instead he wanted me to just ring up the items I already had at the front and told me this guy was waiting for some food so I didn't have to worry about him following me outside. So I left even though I hadn't finished shopping and had to come back 30 minutes later to finish hoping that creepy guy wasn't there anymore by then. What kind of business makes a regular customer that they recognize and know leave and come back later because some random harasser who no one's ever seen before is ordering food? You tell the regular customer to leave so that this guy can stay in the store while you make his dinner???All the reviews warning you that they routinely will charge you more than what the sticker price says are 100% true as well. If you catch them and point it out to them, they laugh it off and apologize pretending it was a one time mistake, when they actually do it all the time and repeatedly. It's a known problem by this place that people who live nearby talk about. I never complained because I only went in here after a certain time. But the final straw was being told that my safety "wasn't worth the hassle" and having to leave the store and come back again to finish my purchases.Don't expect these folks to call the cops if you get harassed or hurt from one of the many shady people that hang around this place. It's a "hassle" to them. There were two stabbings recently at another Deli on 4th ave- There are certain stores where characters feel very comfortable hanging around thanks to the staff inside and this is definitely one of those stores. It's possible they may have some other illegal happenings which make them not want any police around here.By contrast, there are two delis just a few blocks over on the corner of Douglas that treat their customers (especially regulars) much better. No stealing of your money and on one occasion I even witnessed one of the store clerks telling a character to "back off" a shopper because he was standing too close to her. So naturally the shady characters don't love hanging around there so much.

Thievery! These dudes are thieves. They ring up one price on the register, and another higher price on the card reader that they don't show you. I've experienced this on multiple occasions with multiple clerks. They laugh when caught and call you "my friend." What sort of friend robs you? This doesn't even include the sky high prices for mediocre offerings. If you value honesty, reasonable prices, and/or food quality, shop somewhere else.
