The Sandwich Shop showcases Italian Heroes resurrecting the MD Kitchen of 2012. It's red sauce cooking on the stove is the sauce of legends where it cooked for decades by Dom at DiFara's The eggplant parm hero dipped in tempura batter and the bread having remnants of the awesome sauce is delicious. A few tables in front and more coming. I hear the bread is under review but the only thing that would make this sensation sandwich better is a hit if the red pepper sauce that comes with the pizza at Difara's.

As a longtime Difara's fan, I was excited to try their new sandwich shop around the corner. Greeted by the owner John upon arrival. He was super friendly. We already knew what we wanted, so we ordered and sat down in their little tables outside. Very limited seating, mostly to go orders it seems. But the service was amazing and very personable. Our Meatball Parm was done in 10 minutes. He gave us the option for toasted or not toasted bread and we opted for toasted bread. It was the most perfectly toasted bread I've ever had. The ratio from the bread, to cheese, to sauce, to meatball was absolutely perfect. Every bite was delicious and satisfying. Probably one of the best meatball parms I've ever had. I did appreciate that they sliced the meatball so the ratio was on point in every bite rather than a sandwich of full meatballs. Will definitely be coming back to try more of their sandwiches and even the pastas.

This restaurant is one of my favorites, not only is it very clean but the food is absolutely delicious. The workers are friendly and professional. It has a family oriented atmosphere. I enjoyed having lunch there and I will definitely come back soon. I do recommend this restaurant.

Just called for a pick up. Said 25 mins and it took 15 or so. Guess not a super busy time, so may differ? Order 3 sandwiches; sausage and peppers, chicken parm, and eggplant parm. Nice good sandwich, good Italian hero, great sauce and meat/veg. Sausage and peppers was the fave of the 3.

we placed an order at 10:43 to be delivered at 12:45. they delivered it 10 minutes later and when we told them we weren't ready they proceeded to cancel our order without even bothering to tell us and when we called them asking about it they closed on us and wouldn't pick up after.

I went a week after they opened so they were still getting the system down. it took about 1/2 an hour to get my meatball hero. let me tell you. so worth the wait. it was so #%#¥ing good. When they gave me my sandwich, very politely apologized for the wait. Right after I ordered my sandwich, I went to the corner DiFara's pizza and grabbed a slice so it was a win win for me

I arrived at 1012 Kitchen hungry and full of anticipation. I have been a DiFara fan for decades. I placed my order and took a seat, willing to wait the 35 minutes I was quoted (I'm a Difara fan, I allotted an hour.) As the first hour came and went, there was not a single communication from the small kitchen as to what the real deal was. At 1 hour 30, she "ran out of bread" even though only 1 order had gone out in all this time. Still, no apologies, no updates. Approaching 2 hours I left. Hungry still and now grumpy. I get why all their other ventures fail. No matter how big your legacy, you should treat your customers with some level of respect.
