New York West Pastry & Bake Shop

I have been here plenty of times and the first time here I had a great experience; the food was great and the employees.The second time I came, the employee gave me the wrong cookies; I provided the number that is In front of each cookie. I just came here again this afternoon and the cookies are NOT fresh! I thought I was going to break a tooth.

Don't waste your money on stale pastries. New owner and I bought 7 different items and each item was the same response...omg, stale and spit out. Wasted $40. Everyone in the family felt the same way that it tasted old and hard.

This cute little shop is filled with lots of sweet treats. We went for national donut day! Their donut selection is not very large but packs a mighty tasty punch. Go and treat yourself!

Being Italian by descent I am pretty picky about my pastry but this place knocks it out of the park.Fresh, delicious homemade pastry, breads, cakes and much more. You can watch the bakers as they prepare and make all of your favorites. Delicious and at a very reasonable price for the quality you get. This is our go to bakery for all of our delicious pastry desires.We drive about 30 miles to come here and there are closer bakeries but this is the best, by far, bar none.

Growing up in Flushing New York , this "Bakery" is very similar to what I remember back in my younger days. So far I've tried a Chinese Cookie and a Chocolate dipped Almond Horn. Both were on the money. Just as good as a New York bakery. Will be my go to place for my cake and cookie craving.

Do they offer delivery? improve their ambience? there are a lot of tasty items, maybe add newer items

This place was fantastic when I lived here a few years ago. I just moved back here and the first time I went back to the bakery I could tell it was different, the cookies were stale, the rainbow cookies were completely off but I thought they just had a bad day, couple mths later I noticed they have a new sign, that old sign that needed to be replaced 10 yrs ago..that stop was more the same, lesser quality but still fairly decent.Went last week and when I got home my husband tried the rugala and it was so bad it broke his tooth. The rainbow cookies I took one bite and threw the rest away. I had no idea of the new management but as soon as I saw that new sign I figured out it was new owners and won't be going back. So disappointing because I really loved this place all those years.

I have been going to this bakery for 10 years , It was sold last year and things have changed I have been giving it a chance but yesterday when I bought a baguette it fatter at one end and slim halfway down and it was chewy not crisp . this will be the last time . even the black and white cookies don't taste the same . What a shame good luck to the new owner who should never ask for a good review like she did .good bye

Ownwership chaned. Picked up pastries on a Saturday and they were worthy of the garbage pail. My parents don't throw food away but no one could eat them. This is my first yelp review as I couldn't in good conscience not share this information.
