Well Sam.... I still will never come to your establishment. That is ridiculous. Why would you charge 4% to cover your credit card charges? I've gotten many services way more expensive than a bagel & was not charged a fee or if I was I was told BEFORE I was paying. Also if it was you that said " that's the price" you were quite rude & offered no explanation to the overcharge. I'm very happy with GOLDEN BAGEL IN RANCHO PENASQUITOS! BEST BAGELS IN SD! NO SNEAKY CHARGES!!!!!!!!!

Ummmm well let me just say that I had high expectations from a business that was named New York Bagel.The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean.The orange juice was good... but the bagels... ummmmmm.

First time trying this place in Rancho Bernardo and I liked it. They feature a fantastic array of bagel choices, deli sandwiches, etc. Staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Nice large dine-in area with clean tables, etc. I had the Jalapeno Cheddar, toasted with cream cheese. The toast was light and the chew fairly unremarkable. The cheddar/jalapeno was only baked on top, so not incorporated throughout. They smeared a decent amount of cream cheese. Not excessive but not skimpy either. They're situated in a small strip mall in probably one of the worst, tightest small parking lots in RB. If you drive anything larger than a small Volkswagen, it might be an exercise in frustration for you.

Bagels aren't always on my top of the list when a snack or meal is on my agenda, but that may have just changed. I've been working around RB for over a decade, and I've only eaten their bagels when a coworker randomly brings bagels from here. I've always enjoyed them every time. Very recently, I figured it was my turn to bring the bagels, and so after many years, I stepped foot here first thing in the morning and ordered a dozen bagels for my team at work. I ordered a variety of bagels from wheat, plain, blueberry, cheese, everything, and cinnamon sugar. There were no leftovers, so it was safe to say everyone enjoyed them. I bought smoked salmon, honey walnut, and plain cream cheese. All of which I've had previously and had again and rest assured...all are delicious. The cinnamon sugar bagel paired the best with the honey walnut cream cheese though (pro-tip and you're welcome). I also tried their Crispy Bacon breakfast bagel and they were able to hollow-out the bagel at my request. Solid breakfast bagel.The staff are really friendly and committed to helping you out despite being indecisive. Of the many bagel spots around, I may just stick to this place...even for when I go on my own whim and not only when I have it randomly at work thru a generous coworker:)

Quick morning pit stop where you can grab a bite and then show up as the office hero with a box of bagels! The half dozen bundle was a sweet deal and there are so many flavors to choose from! They have Rainbow and chocolate chip bagels in addition to the everything and cheeses. While I can't attest for these tastes as they were gifts, what I ordered was the Reuben on Pumpernickel bagel, it was hot, crispy, and delicious. The man who appears to be the owner is a very nice guy. Ambiance is cozy with a clean bathroom.

It's not easy to find a bagel shop in the area that isn't a chain. If you are looking for fresh bagels and good coffee this is your place.We went late on a Saturday morning. There was only one group ordering ahead of us. Everything was quick and easy.Ordered the New York salmon on a poppy seed bagel. The bagel was definitely the star of the show. Pillowy yet had a nice chew. Also ordered an everything bagel with vegan cream cheese. Generous amounts of cheese and a solid bagel. We rounded out our order with two chocolate chip bagels that were just the right combination of sweet and savory.Their iced coffee is good. The mocha latte was just okay. I'm not a huge fan of Hershey's syrup and it tasted like that was what was used.Overall delicious bagels and solid coffee. Hoping to return to try some of their other offerings.

Hands down the best bagels in San Diego county. Born and raised in NYC bagels are a staple breakfast and I'm so happy that I don't have to go back east for bagels.The staff is phenomenal and so friendly. I look forward to my morning bagel.
