A mom and pop shop that can get a bit bogged down when busy, but give them a chance and be patient, esp. given the economic situation today. Food is really good and very fairly priced. The menu is going to be a little different than the more Americanized Korean BBQ joints. Banchan is a bit more narrow in variety but the quality is much higher than the norm.

One of my favorite places for Korean soups! We tried several different soups and all of them were delicious and authentic! We tried the Korean Blood Sausage Soup and Intestine Soup. The broth was packed with an explosion of flavor! Service was friendly. We got seated promptly and the server brought us a big jar of barley tea. There is plenty of parking spots in the lot.

I always come here and it's usually always good, but this time I had found multiple blonde hairs on the potato outside. There was no workers with blonde hair but it could've been a different shift before them. The workers should be using hairnets anyways tho...

I've been here now at least 5 times because it is probably the closest Korean restaurant to my house. We waited 15 mins for our server to take our order and then waited for another 43 mins for our food to come. It was around 3pm on a Memorial day (not peak times). Only about half the tables were full. I heard the lady at the table behind me complain that they waited for an hour! The food is decent but honestly I cannot justify waiting for over an hour for food. I went into restaurant hungry and was starving by the time we received our order an hour later. Don't think I will be going back anymore.

3 quick things about this place: 1.) food is delicious and homey, 2.) staff is friendly and downright sweet, and 3.) portions are pretty generous.Upon entering, you are warmly greeted, seated, and given a carafe of hot tea. After ordering, they'll present you with banchan (& will also ask if you want any refills). Based on the Yelp reviews, they appear to be known for their soup. We tried a couple varieties and were not disappointed - each had great depth and a good portion of meat or tofu depending on the type of soup ordered. Soup dishes are also accompanied by a hot stone pot of purple rice. Bonus - the crispy, browned rice bits at the sides of the pot once you get to the end of your meal. Will definitely be back to try some more items!

Food might be a but slow but it's the best Korean restaurant I ever eaten. Not to mentioned I always come here every Friday back when I was still doing Capstone.

It's our first time at the very authentic New Seoul Restaurant in Lynnwood. The menu is extensive with items that are beyond my normally adventurous palate; anyone care for fish intestines? Pork intestines, pork hock, and pork blood are all available. We went in mid-afternoon during the quiet hours. Our wait was uncommonly long when there were only 3 other persons there. She finally served us a round of banchan, which we completely polished off, and our food still hasn't arrived. Our server is a woman of few English words. If Korean food is new to you, this is not the place for an introduction. I suspect you won't get detailed answers. The Food:Grilled Mackerel and Soft Tofu Stew Combo, $16.99 - 4.5 StarsThis combo also comes with the purple rice. The grilled mackerel is meaty and a hearty bite; I thought it was a tad dry though. The stew is a choice of kimchee, any of the tofu stews, etc. This combo is very filling and great for the hearty appetite. Their tofu stew is excellent.Stir-Fried Rice Cake, $9.99 - 4.5 StarsThis is a yummy dish. Korean rich cake rolls, fish cake slices, light veggies in a spicy tangy sweet sauce. Spiciness is just right for hubby. I want it spicier. :) Regardless, it's still good. From a balanced meal standpoint, I think this is better for a shared side dish since it's mostly unhealthy processed white carbs.Spicy Halibut Stew, $13.99 - 2 StarsI took a chance with this dish, knowing at the very least because this is a quite authentic Korean restaurant - the fish pieces will very likely be skin-on and bone-on. They were and were. But I failed to realize how incredibly hot (temperature) the broth is and therefore how incredibly overcooked the halibut (any fish) can become in such a dish. Lesson Learned. If you ever see a fish stew served in bubbling hot Korean stew, skip it. The dish in an of itself is likely closer to 4 stars, but the star attraction of the protein being overcooked brings it down to 2 Stars.Seafood and Green Onion Pancake, $13.99 - 3 StarsFirstly, their sauce is superb. The pancake is only good, but on the doughy side, too much batter. It'll be better when I re-heat the leftovers, searing it a bit more, and adding a touch more seasoning.6 kinds of banchan, Included - 4 Stars We both liked the fish cakes and the daikon the best. The kimchee was too mild.

Food here is great as there's not much other real Korean food places this far up north. They only have one server at anytime. One of the servers is far better than the other in everywhere so it's a gamble whether you get great or mediocre service. If you speak or understand Korean you'll notice the difference in the way the lesser server speaks to you (lack of honorific polite Vs casual) if you know what I mean. Lately they raised the prices of all the food out of the blue and you get one less side dish these days.Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes to place your order and in addition to that up an hour at the least to get your food.....
